Jacqueline Loor shares new single ‘Just A Memory’
Jacqueline Loor's haunting voice has nothing to hide, and it's vulnerability helps the listener find their own strength. Ultimately, Loor wants to help empower people, and the only way to do that she feels is to have them feel something. Her music is all about the feels, the deep pain that is sometimes difficult to face, but necessary to move forward in life. Loor hopes her new song 'Just a Memory' will do exactly that.
"I wrote this new track 'Just a Memory' after being inspired by a master class by Paddy Byrne who is one of the mentors in The Songwriting Academy," she explains. "I was also inspired by my muse who happens to be my identical twin sister. She was in a relationship that definitely had it's ups and downs and she was clinging to only the good, but from my perspective I could feel they were about to break up. I showed them the song as soon as I wrote it, and she gave me a look like she was going to murder me, and 2 days later they broke up.
"Anyway, I wrote this track in hopes to help people who are missing someone they broke up with. In order to move forward I think it's a good thing to let the pain out, and I hope my song helps do that."

Indie 5-0: 5 Questions with Jacqueline Loor
Jacqueline Loor, formerly known as Lady Loor, has been an artist rising on our radar for the past month now. Her bold and absolutely infectious new single "Coming Undone (Semblance Remix)" adds enough flavor to have you literally dancing forever. The artist who dabbles in singer-songwriter-alt-pop, taught herself to play guitar at an early age, and created and built songs from the very start. With catchy lyrics and intriguing melodies, "Coming Undone (Semblance Remix)" is nothing short of brilliant. Loor took the time out to stop by Independent Artist Buzz for an exclusive Indie 5-0 which you can dive into below...we suggest you do and remember her name, now!

1. What is the inspiration behind your new single , and did you draw the piece from a personal place?
The inspiration for "Coming Undone" came from seeing people I really love and respect choosing to remain in unhealthy relationships. I really wanted to create a song that would empower these people to realize they do not need to settle for anything that does not make them truly happy.
2. When creating the track, how long did it take to accomplish from start to finish?
I wrote the song in about a month. I usually write songs a lot faster than this one, but the bridge for this song was a little difficult to find because it was the moment I really wanted the message to be delivered. It took some time to get to it, but it was definitely worth it because I was definitely proud proud of how the song came out especially that powerful bridge. 3. At what age did you realize that music is a career you wanted to pursue; what was your 'ah-ha' moment? As soon as I picked up the guitar at 19 I knew I would love to play music for a living, but I didn't feel I was good enough to go for it until last year. It was just another day for me playing in front of my friends when I was showing them a new song I had written and my friend Alex said, "Hey, you should really do something with your music." Even though I had been told this so many times by my family and friends throughout the years, that time was the moment when I stopped and thought, "Yeah, why don't I do something with my music?" I finally felt I was good enough to pursue music for a living. 4. Who are your musical inspirations; what artists inspired you to start your career and find your musical passion? I have been listening to all types of music since I was little, but some of my definite favorites would include Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, INXS, U2, Tears for Fears, Aretha Franklin, Pearl Jam, and The Beatles. Their music is empowering and timeless, and has helped me get through some tough moments in my life, which is something I strive for my music to do as well. 5. What other treats do you have in store for us this year? Can we expect videos or a new record? I have been working really hard on my first album that will be released this summer. The first track of that album will be released in the spring.

Jacqueline Loor - I Broke My Heart (Indie Pop)
