This interview and all that Jared expressed about Jensen are some of my most cherished and beloved things! ❤️
I made gifs of some other things he said:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And frankly, what he says in the second gif terrifies me because their relationship, in that moment he refers to, was apparently balanced on a very thin edge. I shudder to think that there was even a 1% chance of it going the other way. The way of goodbye 💔
Thankfully, they seem to have figured out a way forward. And we're still out here basking in their love and loyalty and mutual protectiveness 💗
Tumblr media
Jared is done with "his" fans harassing Jensen on social media as a result of the prequel mess. He stood up for Jensen. That's what a partner does ❤️

i'm going through all the references for vic's jared lore poll right now and like unsurprisingly i've seen most of them already, even the ones i don't remember (apparently i had that 2021 panel wayyy at the top of my panel q and youtube was telling me i've watched it already but i Do Not remember that karaoke story) but i haven't seen that specific michael rosenbaum interview (i've seen a little bit of the other one where koda gets an introduction) and the way jared talks about getting a 1490 score on the SAT?? like it's fucking nothing?? i'm not usamerican but i took it after studying for four months straight and only got a 1260 but even that was 15k scholarship worthy?? what the fuck?? he literally talks about his score like it was nothingburger, as in literally says it and has no reaction while michael is literally out of his mind surprised 😭

I agree with your opinions for the most part. But there are still some points of contradiction. For example, if Jared left the show, the spn wouldn't last much without him. If you exclude the bias towards Jensen and Misha, with a proper plot, the series could very well exist. Like making a move with Sam finally finding peace, leaving hunting and starting a family. Dean is happy for him and continues to do what he loves and knows well - hunt monsters and protect people and that includes Sam and his new family. Just if you take the concept that Sam(Jared) is the main character and the story is about him and Dean(Jensen) is secondary and the story can't be without a main character, then what about The Big Bang Theory series? Obviously Leonard is the main character and Sheldon is secondary. But when James Parsons wanted to leave the show(several times) it wasn't allowed? Why? Sheldon is not the main character, neither is Dean, BUT they are both audience favorites. Suppose if the situation was the other way around and Jensen was the one who wanted to leave the spn, the show wouldn't make sense either? Just based on your logic, the main character leaving is a failure for the show. That said, the departure of the same James Parsons would be a big blow to the show. His character even got his own series in the end. Maybe that's what Jensen wanted. And then I don't understand why he didn't just do a series about John when Meri died and he was left alone with kids and monsters. That would have been so much more interesting!
I think I may be misinterpreting "bias towards Jensen and Misha", as in my bias or the show's bias? If the latter then put down that non-canon-compliant fanfiction and slowly step away.
The Big Bang Theory worked with Leonard as the lead until he and Penny got married, which ideally was when the show should have ended because the show started with him pining after Penny. But the show continued for 2 more seasons with the focused moved to Sheldon & Amy and it was very noticeable that the original magic was gone and the show was cancelled shortly after. The ratings in viewership and demo for the last 2 seasons were steadily going down.
I've said many times here that when shows lose their leads, they are either cancelled or limp along for 1 or 2 more seasons (X Files, The Office, Scrubs, 70's show, The OC) but then fans and critics complain that the show got way worse. So even though The Big Bang Theory still had their lead Leonard on the show, moving the focus to Sheldon & Amy still resulted in the show's cancellation 2 years later.
Moving SPN's focus from Sam to Dean & Cas would have had the same result, cancellation in one or two seasons. So the "proper plot" you speak off wouldn't save a Sam-less show. WB knew that and that's why they cancelled Supernatural.
If it was Jensen who left SPN back in season 3 or 4, the show still would have continued to season 5 to reach syndication. During that time the role of Sam's new partner would have been casted and if he or she worked well enough with Jared, then the show could have continued after season 5. Shows that lost their main secondary character have successfully continued for several more seasons: Monk, Cheers, Greys Anatomy, Law&Order:SUV, and of course Walker. NYPD Blues' Andy famously went through 4 partners in 12 seasons, each partner just as popular as the last.
I agree that the Supernatural prequel should have been about a widowed John and wee Sam and Dean. That was Michael Rosenbaum’s immediate assumption on his podcast interview with Jensen. He missed a real opportunity for a young Sam and Dean prequel because nostalgia for the 80s is at an all time high. It could have been his version of Stranger Things as wee Sam and Dean explore the strange and the supernatural, like Sam’s imaginary friend Sully and we get to know more about the Zannas, the only supernatural creatures without agendas against mankind.

Professionalism on Set: A Tale in Two Interviews
Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Episode 108 – Bob Odenkirk (1:34:57-1:35:45)
Rosenbaum: [Listener] Jerry [writes in the question], “Can you tell us a fun Behind the Scenes story from either Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul that no one’s heard?” Odenkirk: A fun Behind the Scenes—? Rosenbaum: I don’t know, something, if you think of it. Odenkirk: I got nothing—I’m sorry, you know, really, this is actually a problem for me. It’s, uh—I work really hard, and I don’t have—I don’t fuck around a lot. You know, like goof around. Rosenbaum: No goof-ups. Odenkirk: No, we laugh and make jokes but we fucking work hard. So sometimes I hear these stories about people on set playing pranks and stuff, and you’re like, “Who has time for pranks?” We barely can shoot the show with the time we’ve got. If I fucking pulled a prank, I’d be like, “Uh, Sony’s on the line. You blew fifty thousand dollars with your fucking prank. What the fuck is going on? Shoot the show.”
Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Episode 207 – Supernatural’s Misha Collins: Give Yourself Space (0:32:56-0:33:55)
Rosenbaum: You know, I watched outtakes—saw these outtakes—and it just seems like the whole time, Jensen and Jared are fucking with you. Collins: That—that is a fair characterization of my experience on the show. Rosenbaum: I mean it’s nonstop. Collins: Yeah. It’s—it’s abuse, is what it is. Rosenbaum: It’s abuse, because—didn’t you have, like, a lot—you always had to say a bunch. You had a lot of lines. Collins: I had plenty of lines— Rosenbaum: Yes, plenty of lines. Collins: And they would, uh, incessantly fuck with me, and— Rosenbaum: And you’re trying to remember these lines and they’re fucking with you. Collins: Or trying to even just say them. Uh, yes. Um, it was maddening at times. But it was also, um, I think, demonstrative of the fact that we had a lot of fun on set. Like, we laughed—I—I think it is probably north of a million dollars of overtime that Warner Brothers had to pay for—because of us fucking around— Rosenbaum: —you fucking around— Collins: —on set over the years. Yeah, without hyperbole, I think that’s probably true.

So that happened
youtube
I just have to get some things off my chest after seeing this. Putting all of it under the cut so people can scroll past if they want. (LET ME REPEAT, SCROLL PAST IF YOU DON'T LIKE OR AGREE, NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ, FUCK OFF AA'S)
I've read up on all of the drama this past week surrounding this podcast and see a lot of 'Jensen stabbed Jared in the back', 'Jensen threw Jared under the bus', and 'Jensen is the villain and Jared was right all along about prequelgate' and I'm not sure how?
Like this podcast interview had a few problematic areas, I'll give them that, but how exactly was this Jensen proving prequelgate was all of Jared's fault or that he hates him or was shading him or whatever? Where do they get that from? I'm genuinely asking because I didn't see any of that anywhere.
Jensen just explained what happened and when he mentions the few drinks part, he literally says that's what Jared said to him. "It's late, I had a few, and I lashed out" - literally what Jared supposedly said to him. So how is this Jensen throwing Jared under the bus?
I do think personally that maybe if I were in Jensen's shoes I may have worded it a bit differently, especially knowing how the fandom and (possibly) the media might focus on this particular wording. For example, the drinks and lashing out part could have been left out but I think he was just explaining and it's not that deep?
No, when I mention the problematic areas of this interview this is what I'm referring to:
Jessica Alba
I will say to be fair to those who are upset about the Jessica Alba portion of the interview, that did make me kind of go 'umm...what?' Not because he called her a bitch. The statement he made which included that name was not done in a misogynistic or sexist way. She had said something that didn't appear to be that nice and so he responded in kind. Had that been Michael Weatherly instead and Jensen had said "Oh, we're getting Asshole Weatherly today", that name wouldn't get half the attention I'm willing to bet. (plus we all know Weatherly is an asshole)
No, what made me kind of do a double take was the style in which he recounts this story that happened 20 years ago. He seemed to be proud of himself (which if you stand up for yourself especially against someone bullying you, you should be proud of yourself but I don't think that's what this was about here for him) and was delighted not only in the crew's response to him but also expected Michael and the other guy in the room to be as entertained and delighted as he and the crew were. It almost had the feel of frat brothers congratulating each other on dealing with that bitch if that makes sense. Very weird and it really had me going 'is this what this guy is really like?' 'Do I need to pull my stan card?' (I don't really stan him, I've been a fan but never a stan, I'm only kidding when I say this about my stan card) Still not sure on that answer (and probably never will be) because we obviously don't know him personally and only see what he chooses to show us through his public persona.
But, I gotta say, as much as I like Jensen, that seemed a little too skeevy to me. And I highly doubt that if Jessica walked into that room right then after hearing what he had to say that it would be "all hugs". Especially when she's apologized for her behavior in the past and supposedly all is now good between them, according to Jensen himself. Like, dude, people make mistakes. And while you have the right to talk about your experience and how it made you feel, you had to know that doing it in this way and in this context was going to come off as kind of petty. Had she been Lea Michele or someone who hadn't realized their wrongdoing and apologized for it, I'd get it. But Jessica did. And he even explained that she had enormous pressure on her at the time at a young age (she did) and with the whole Weatherly fiasco (as if Weatherly wasn't being a manipulative douche to her and taking advantage of her age, come on). So if Jensen knows that and she apologized, my question is, why are we even still talking about it? I'm not excusing her behavior (I'm not even a fans of hers tbh) and of course his feelings are valid, but the way he recounted the whole thing just felt off to put it nicely.
And not to be a jerk, but I recently found out that Danneel was not so nice to some fans in the past on Twitter (tbf to her, she was getting a lot of hate at the time for being with Jensen but that still doesn't excuse the whole 'loser' and mocking tweets she sent out), but she has supposedly changed and grown since then? I don't know if she ever apologized (maybe she did and I just have no clue) for using that type of name calling or behavior, but if we're going to sit here and go off about Jessica, well it doesn't just work for one and not the other. Danneel needs to also be called out as well. For example, if Ruth Connell ever did that (she would never, she's a sweetheart), I would say the same. Again, people make mistakes and if they apologize, I just feel like maybe the hatchet should stay buried then. It doesn't erase the experiences of the people you hurt and of course they have the right to talk about it, but 20 years going by? And this type of interaction between the two of you "built a mutual respect"? I don't know, it just didn't sit right with me hearing all of that. It seemed a little unnecessarily judgmental on Jensen's part, especially when he mentioned that she was there for him when his grandfather passed. It does make me wonder just slightly what he might be like if someone gets into an argument with him or does or says something he doesn't like. Like does this happen when he and Danneel argue? Or he and Misha? Is he going to let 15 years pass and then talk about it on another podcast or at a con, throwing you under the bus, even though you've done what you can to apologize, change your behavior, and make it up to him? Do you know what I mean? (it's absolutely none of our business, his personal and professional relationships, I just mean it just makes you wonder at his personality slightly and how he truly conducts himself when no one's looking, but that's it)
Danneel & SPN
I was also surprised that he mentioned Danneel has only seen enough episodes of SPN that she can count on one hand. I could be wrong but didn't she mention at the 300th episode party that she knows all of Cas' lines and he is her favorite character? That even her husband knows that? And she's producing The Winchesters with him? And other SPN-related content through their production company? (I know Renee is Head of Development, but still) Um, I love SPN and I love Dean and I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore fan (never been to a con, never will) but that kind of worries me slightly? Like about the quality of storytelling (not doubting Robbie at all, I'm just saying what is fought for, what is allowed, etc), and just where they do plan to take this particular story line of the universe (and others in the future). I trusted both Ackles implicitly when it was announced and still trust Jensen in this aspect but um, yeah, kind of surprised at the Danneel thing. Again, not a stan of hers either but I was supportive (I would make jokes in past posts that she was the queen especially when it came to Destiel). Now, I'm also kind of going 'um, what?' with this particular part of the podcast as well and that Jensen would even say that. (like if he threw anyone under the bus it was Jessica and Danneel, not Jared I feel) Like, dude, that is your wife. Like, what? (again, it makes you wonder, is he the type of guy you need to walk on eggshells around on if you do or say something that pisses him off or makes him feel slighted in some way, even if you apologize or didn't mean for him to feel that way) I know he made that joke on his Instagram post about being under the influence when promoting the podcast, but he seems pretty lucid and sober to me when giving these answers? (plus, I know, it was a joke)
As much as I love Jensen and I support him and follow his career, this podcast definitely did not sit right with me for those reasons mentioned above. The rest of it I thought was fine and interesting, like usual, especially when he talked about The Boys and DC and even his time on Dawson's Creek. (though I will say Jensen and Michael, what is so wrong with women who might be more reserved or introverted? Reading a book is not a bad thing. And if Kristin needed to be engaged, maybe she doesn't feel comfortable starting the conversation and just needed someone else to start it. Not everyone is an extrovert, my dudes, and there is NOTHING wrong with that) And nowhere in that did I say him shading Jared or being mean to Jared like so many have claimed. I may not be a fan of Jared's (see his Denver Con 2021 homophobic/acephobic rant for reference) but I can stand back and look at all of this as objectively as possible. Like I said, Jensen could have worded Jared's explanation a bit differently but I don't feel he stated this maliciously. I think he was just trying to explain. And he ended that explanation with "That's on me." Never did I feel he was trying to make excuses or put it on Jared. He explained what happened that day on his end without stating how he felt when getting Jared's tweets (which, now it sounds more like Jared did try to reach out to Jensen privately first before tweeting). And he literally ended the explanation with "That's on me."
And just for context, I personally don't feel there was anything wrong with Jared's tweet to Jensen at the time of the news. Even his tweet to a fan's tweet asking if he knew. It was the tweet to Robbie (now deleted) that was purely unprofessional and could be considered a 'tantrum'. Like yeah there was a lot of drama at the time and a lot of us made jokes and laughed, but ultimately if Jared was hurt, no one can tell him how to feel about it. But Robbie didn't do anything and he has never gotten an apology (a public one, which it needs to be public since Jared lashed out at him publicly, to me that's the lashing out part of Jared's explanation that Jensen gave that was definitely that, not what Jared tweeted to Jensen at the time). We've seen Jensen and Jared being bros again and all is good, but once again, where is the apology for Robbie? What he said to Robbie was not kind at all. Not the 'et tu brute' part but the 'what a truly awful thing you've done #bravoyoucoward' part. That was mean and unnecessary. Regardless of how he may have been feeling at the time and even if it was true and Jensen had really 'backstabbed' him. Robbie didn't. Robbie booked a job, that's it. It wasn't on him to tell Jared or explain anything. That's not his responsibility. So yeah, Jared still owes Robbie a public apology. But if he hasn't by now, it looks like Robbie is not going to get one. It's not right, but people are more persistent with the drama between Jensen and Jared and being Team Whoever.
And ngl, this makes me kind of wonder why Misha felt the need to tweet to both Jared and Jensen 'love you and miss you both' after Jared and Jensen supposedly had their talk. Why tweet at all? Why not keep clear of it? Imho, this is the problem with SM at times when it comes to those in the public eye. While I get that they are human and have every right to make mistakes like the rest of us, they also have a platform and with that platform comes a greater responsibility than the average Joe. Which means their professionalism standards are even higher and should be. Remember Trump's tweets, anyone? From the office of The President, no less! I'm not saying Jensen, Jared, Misha, Danneel, Alex, Ruth, etc are in that type of position but still they have a privileged platform and what they choose to tweet out/post about/link should be better handled I think. People like Ruth I think get that and so you don't see these kinds of things coming from them (not that I've ever seen or heard about in her case at least). But damn, when it comes to J2MD, ngl, kind of giving them all the side eye rn. I still love Jensen and support him but I'm not a blind stan, either. Hopefully, he was just either having a rough day that day (whether due to drinking as he claimed or other stuff and hey, everyone is entitled to a bad day every once in a while no matter their status) or he was prickly on those subjects mentioned above due to maybe he and Danneel having an argument or something and this isn't 100% of who he is all the time (because if that's the case, that's not a good look).
But, regardless, while I think the podcast was interesting and we got to hear some great stuff about Jensen's current and future projects, it's definitely not one of my favorites for him. Let's hope the SPN podcast with Jared & R2 goes better as well as the con coming up.

Wait...
Why did Jared say it's the last time Jared and Jensen see each other??
What about conventions and living close by and kids going to the same school?
Why so much finality?
Why does my heart so much?

I listened to Rosenbaum's interview with Jared and the stark contrast with Jensen is amazing. You can tell Jared is a guy that actually puts a lot of work into his role as EP and Jensen comes off like he's just putting his name on the project.
"Jensen comes off like he's just putting his name on the project."
That's because that's all he is doing. lol The contrast is indeed sheer.

Well Jared did give an interview with the NYTimes regarding the prequel debacle and said that they’ve talked privately and it was miscommunication. No one knows what they said, so Jared did apologize in private. I do like Jensen, but the whole prequel debacle could’ve been handled properly on both ends. Especially since Kripke claimed Jared was too busy, when in reality Jared had expressed he would love to be apart of some spn project in the future and that he had found out about the prequel when the whole fandom did. Then Kripke went on to say he thought Jared had already been told and then apologized for making assumptions. That ended up making Jensen look bad. I bet you that Kripke did think Jensen had told Jared, or Jensen told Kripke he had already told Jared before the article was released, which is another possibility. Side note, didn’t Jensen reveal in the Rosenbaum podcast that he knew the article would be released that day? If that’s the case, then I’m not sure how that would classify as a leak. Also if that’s the case, he could’ve given Jared a heads up. I’m still a fan of both guys and they have both moved on from this, but you seem to criticize Jared more, when their both a fault (arguably to some, Jensen is more at fault). I feel like most also forget that Jared told people to stop hating on the Ackles and that it was awful and wrong. But hey, you do what you want.
Jared was drunk and got pissy and was egged on by his “friends” to message Jensen. Instead of messaging him privately IN THE FIRST PLACE he went to Twitter where he knows his fans will attack if he gives the word. It’s a repeated behavior of Jared’s where he acts before he thinks and then refuses to take accountability. Even claiming he was drunk is an excuse for him to not take responsibility.
Yeah, he told people to stop hating the Ackles AFTER his mantrum. And if he was so sorry and wanted his fans to chill, he would have deleted his mantrum tweets and he hasn’t. To this day they are still up.
Jared continues to skirt around accountability for everything, it’s always someone else’s fault. So yeah I will do what I want and say Jared was an asshole.

There's one thing about the trailer for TW I can't get out of my head.
We know that the leaked script was only a first draft. It was written at a time when the Prequel Gate was in full swing. Jensen confirmed in the Michael Rosenbaum interview that he just got the script from RT. In this first draft Dean is sitting in the MOL bunker - the timeline is between 15.19-20
After that, the script was obviously changed.
Now Dean is driving alone through a desolate area, and a journal he is writing.
Jensen emphasized again and again in the last interviews that it will be difficult to integrate Sam, which the viewers will only understand when they watch TW.
BUT in the first version this would have been possible without any problems.
Between 15.19-20 Dean was with Sam and the script said that "me and my brother are looking for the truth" now it says "I'm looking for the truth".
That means that only AFTER the prequel gate and after MR interview something was changed in the story, so that Sam/Jared won’t /can’t play a role.
What is your explanation for this?
Explanation for the script change or why Sam is not in the trailer?
Jared may have told Jensen he doesn't want to be part of the prequel hence the script change.
Jensen/Robbie may not want to set fans' expectations for Sam's appearance because people won't shut up about it and so changed the script.
Fandom speculation is the script changed from between 15.19-20 to Dean in heaven and he's narrating from there.
My theory on the script change is Sam hasn't shown up in heaven and Dean thinks angels messed with the timeline again and goes looking for the truth in order for Sam to be born. Maybe Danneel reprise her role as Anael and she's the one who fudge up the timeline.

Inside of You podcast highlights (Michael Rosenbaum & Jared Padalecki)
link
- jared’s modest apartment bedroom + sauna blanket & sweaty neck throughout the interview 😋
- jared getting emotional about Sadie passing away 😭
- note to self: what the heck is Alone? Might watch it now 🤔
- jared calling genevieve a “fucking stallion” and then later a “fuckin’ boss” when describing her going through childbirth 😊
- jared saying he’s got three two-legged alarm clocks jumping on them in the morning 😂
- ok michael made me laugh when he was like “I also have a psychiatrist and a psychologist and it’s not like I call them every day but y’know... <honest low voice> I need to call them.”
- also Michael describing the differences between psychologists and psychiatrists is 1) accurate, and 2) pretty much completely contradicting what Jared just described as the difference 🤭
- “I don’t say ‘suffer.’ I fuckin’ hate that word.” - jared 👍🤗
- jared says he hasn’t had a drink since the arrest 👀 Legit, I’m so happy for him on that. Really wholesome, meaningful decision there

You Define You...
Tumblr media
(X)
I ❤️ that statement. I also like the Ambigram style Jay created for it. Like no matter what your position is in society, what kind of person you are, what your background is, how you see and feel, nothing matters, because in the end you define you. Wise words from a smart boy.
Yesterday 10/10/20 was World mental health day. Tbh I wouldn't have known about it, if not for Jared using that hashtag.
Tumblr media
Jared gave with the AKF movement fans something to grasp onto, but also something some of them have in common with him.
Sure, most of us don't have clinical depression or battles with anxiety.
But everyone of us, has also times we feel down and sad, or have dark thoughts. Or overthink situations, are overwhelmed by situations. Feel not loved, resdundant, lonely...you know what I mean.
Some have them more, some less.
So it's no wonder a lot of fans say stuff to him like: You helped me through bad times.
Jared has a very good and healthy way he approaches his problems. The latest Michael Rosenbaum interview with him speaks volumes!
youtube
At around min.58 he starts about that topic. But the whole conversation is just awesome!
Again I love how smart he is (even so I fell kinda imitated by it).
Pain is mandatory. Suffering is optional
Okay, I just got carried away a bit. So I'll stop here.
Hope you have a good day 💚
Oh and the color for the Mental Health Awareness Day 2020 is yellow 😊

Do you think Gen and Danneel are friends?
🤷‍♀️
They certainly aren’t mortal enemies, and definitely aren’t fucking. Those extremes seem to be the only ones acceptable to antis!
I don’t think it matters, honestly. When bottomfeeders say Danneel “throws shade” at Gen on insta via her tags, in context its clear she’s just throwing shade at IG culture in general.
(i miss when IG was just about heavy filters with fake vintage photo borders!)
When lowlifers say G&D alternate events because they can’t stand each other, there’s way too many variables to draw that conclusion. For all we know, that’s a pact just bc of the likelyhood of a mass shooting or something. (That is 100% speculation, okay, nobody take that and run with it as truth jfc)
Again, as I have before, I wanna reference Jared’s interview with Michael Rosenbaum. He sums up his relationship with Jensen as a friend he does not need to seek out all the time or catch up with in order to stay close friends. He points out that they have other friends too, and Jensen is putting time into the brewery and music, etc.
That makes sense, since they work 15 hr days together and do cons and other events etc together, that they wouldn’t be glued to each other when they’re home.
So whatever the level of friendship between Gen and Danneel, it probably is linked to how much time Jared and Jensen spend together in Austin in a given month.
