JASON HAIGH ELLERY
Anaccomplished producer of multi-award-winning productions on stage screen and audio, perhaps Jason's proudest achievement has been the hundreds of millions he has helped raise for charities around the world. Good causes like breast cancer, heart research, kidney research and the Red Cross have benefited thanks to lotteries and promotions he has organized as Chair of CFP Lottery and Raffles Ltd, which has helped raise in excess of a staggering £550million. Jason has been a leading example to many in effective fundraising serving as an Executive Director of the Lotteries Council for Great Britain for over thirty vears and co-authored "Lotteries: A Guide to Good Practice" Cancer has touched his own family and that has motivated Jason to personally help raise over £600,000 for Children with Cancer by providing top West End stars for the Children With Cancer Spring into Summer Ball in Puerto Banus. Spain for the past 15 years. He is also a patron of The Ruined Theatre. providing subsidized and free tickets for people otherwise unable to attend theatre due to financial circumstances, and recently launching a musical theatre school in a disadvantaged community.

I got the chance to talk with Jason Haigh-Ellery over the weekend, and on behalf of my Gallifrey-loving friends, I asked a couple questions about what's happening with upcoming releases. (Even though I haven't listened that far and have no idea what I was asking about lol.) Naturally I didn't get any straight answers, but make what you will of the responses.
First I asked about release schedule, and he said he couldn't say for sure because scheduling has been really difficult, especially with cast members overseas.
Then I asked about whether Romana might come back (I don't know where she's gone, so don't spoil it for me!), and his face went absolutely carefully blank. He said "Spoilers!" and hemmed and hawed for a minute about how we wouldn't really want to know, would we? I pushed a little on whether Lalla Ward is still working with Big Finish at all, and he allowed that she isn't not working with them: she hasn't said anything about not wanting to do any more audios. Which isn't exactly confirmation that she's doing more, but at least her return is still on the table.
Oh, and on another note, he more or less confirmed that Charley and Eight won't ever reunite later in their timelines. Which we pretty much knew already, but I was still holding out some hope. He temporized that "you never know what ideas we might use in the future" but aside from that caveat he gave a pretty solid no.

Jodie Whittaker returns to Doctor Who
Big Finish Productions, in partnership with BBC Studios, today announces the first ever Thirteenth Doctor audio dramas as Jodie Whittaker returns to the Whoniverse alongside Mandip Gill as Yasmin Khan.
Tumblr media
First seen on screen in 2017, Jodie Whittaker made TV history as the first female incarnation of the beloved Time Lord in Doctor Who.
Now she’s back in a brand-new series of twelve, hour-long, full-cast audio adventures in time and space, due to be released from July 2025. By her side in the TARDIS, as ever, will be her best friend Yaz, once again played by Mandip Gill.
Jodie Whittaker said: “I’m over the moon to be joining Big Finish for more adventures in the TARDIS. Recording the Thirteenth Doctor and Yaz is a really lovely thing to revisit. One of the things Mandip and I used to love on Doctor Who was getting in, doing a new episode and meeting a brand-new cast. I just can’t wait to step back into the boots, pull on the coat and get cracking. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be brilliant.”
Mandip Gill added: “Doctor Who has been a huge part of my career and personal life and I am looking forward to seeing how I can further enrich my character through this exhilarating series. To be able to work with Jodie again is a dream come true, we have such a special friendship, I’m sure the recordings will be filled with laughter.”
Big Finish’s Chairman, Jason Haigh-Ellery said: “This year Big Finish is celebrating its 25th anniversary of producing full-cast Doctor Who audio drama – so, when we were granted the licence to create new stories set during the Thirteenth Doctor’s era, we immediately set to work.
“I am delighted that the inimitable Jodie and Mandip have decided to return to their roles with us and I’m excited to welcome them to Big Finish. Alongside our two other forthcoming series for the Fugitive Doctor (played by Jo Martin) and the Master (played by Sacha Dhawan), 2025 has never looked brighter for the Thirteenth Doctor and her fam.”
Big Finish’s Creative Director, Nicholas Briggs added: “Jodie and Mandip were so welcoming to me when I worked on set with them in the TV show, so I’m looking forward to repaying the compliment. They’re lovely people and they’re full of enthusiasm for this project.”
Big Finish listeners can now pre-order The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures, starting at just £11.99 (per story on collector’s edition CD + download) or £9.99 (download only) exclusively from www.bigfinish.com.
A complete series multibuy bundle of all twelve releases is also available to pre-order at the specially discounted price of £126 (on collector’s edition CD + download) or £102 (download only), again exclusively from the Big Finish website.
All the above prices include the special pre-order discount and are subject to change after general release.
Please note that Big Finish is currently operating a digital-first release schedule. The mail-out of collector’s edition CDs may be delayed due to factors beyond our control, but all purchases of this release unlock a digital copy that can be immediately downloaded or played on the Big Finish app from the release date.

helloo!! ☺️ how is gallifrey one going for you so far? 💖
Heey! Gallifrey One is going fab so far. I'm taking it easy, but it's good to be back! I met the ever so lovely Bonnie Langford and Colin Baker, with Michael Troughton and Frazer Hines today so it's been great.
I also happened to help Jason Haigh-Ellery (big boss of big finish) plan his schedule for the weekend as he was lost what he was doing so that was fun. I jokingly said I could become your next PA XD
But yeah, its good to be back and catch up with friends! Not fussed at all about Jodie or Chibnall, but I am having a blast cosplay watching and seeing all the obscure Doctor Who things at Gallifrey One.
It really is good to be back. And I have definitely missed the ribbon trading! :)

E-Mail from Big Finish:
AN UPDATE AND AN APOLOGY
Last week I wrote to you about all the changes we’ve been making at Big Finish. Over the past 18 months, we have overhauled our business-critical systems, to ensure we can continue to provide top quality audio dramas now and in the future.
Big Finish is a company of two halves; not only do we make exciting audio adventures to thrill and entertain you, but we are also responsible for selling and delivering them directly to you, the customer. To continue doing this, on a larger scale, requires essential upgrades.
So, here is what we did: we asked experts to help us build a new “store front” to equip us for the future and, while many of our behind-the-scenes operations are now much improved, not all the functionality of the new website and app are working as intended.
I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience so many of our loyal listeners have experienced over the past two weeks.
We have listened to all your feedback in relation to the new website and app and it is clear that your confidence in Big Finish has been shaken. In order to restore your faith, I have decided that, until the new website and app are ready to be relaunched, we will roll back to the previous versions in the coming days.
To address some of the queries that this may raise, please let me reassure you that all historic purchase, order and release data from the previous website was backed up and the Big Finish team has also carefully recorded all purchases made through the new website since then.
All this information will be merged and made available, via the familiar interface of the previous website and app when this is restored.
There may be a brief outage while we migrate the date back to the previous website and app, to ensure everything is checked and double-checked before the website is brought back online.
You will be able to login to the “previous” website and app with the same password you used before.
All purchases made on the new website have been logged and will be honoured in your account when the previous site is reinstated. No additional changes will be made to the pricing of pre-orders, multi-buy discounts or postage; whatever you have paid for/downloaded remains yours.
Once all the above has taken place, we will publish a revised schedule for the postponed August releases, plus some sales promotions.
I hope you will understand that the changes made to our website and app were undertaken with the sincere ambition to make things quicker, easier and more efficient for our customers. Clearly that ambition has been momentarily thwarted.
The rollback to the previous versions of the website and the app are not permanent.  While familiar, the Big Finish website and app cannot remain as they were while our audience grows, and new listeners discover our great and ever-expanding catalogue of audio dramas. We need to adapt, and we cannot do that without upgrades to the technology that underpins our online store.
That said, we have listened, and we have learned.
In the future, I promise we will seek out more involvement from our loyal customers up front and we will be clearer about what we are trying to achieve when it comes to website and app development so that you are prepared when they inevitably regenerate into something bigger and better.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Very best wishes
Jason Haigh-Ellery

Doctor Who: The Sirens Of Time (BF001) Review
Celebrating @BigFinish's 20th Anniversary: #DoctorWho - The Sirens Of Time #Review
Tumblr media
Back in the dark days of the end of the last millennium, things looked bleak for Whovian fandom. The TV movie was a still divisive but fading memory and the prospects of any new “Doctor Who” were but a distant dream. Into this dark space, Big Finish shone a bright light of hope. Founded in 1996 and making a name for themselves in adapting the Doctor Who spin-off Bernice Summerfield for audio,…
