If we thought Riko was mean to Neil and Kevin, BOY WERE WE correct. Unfortunately, poor Jean was an abused puppy who was sold to an even more abusive family.

I usually try to make these funny, but I just want to pause on the lols and say what Riko did to Jean was ✨Literally Insane✨

Now back to our regularly scheduled program:

Jeremy always wanted a dog. And our sweet angel sunshine boy got his wish with Jeany Moreau.

We finally see that some people actually respect Kevin and don't see him as a whiny bitch (Neil's words not mine) (it's because Jean wants to kiss him) (and listen that's okay but I cannot wait until Jeremy gives Jean a smooch).

There's way more to say, but I'm going to leave it at I can't wait until a book two to see Cat, Laila, and Jeremy shine rays of sunlight out of Jean's butt.

I know there's a lot of headcanons that Jean had to hide his French accent because Riko hated it and suddenly he'll let it slip while at USC and it makes him 10x hotter but....

We literally get told that he still has the accent and that it's pretty strong and my heart BREAKS for him. Bcno matter how much he tried to hide and suppress it, it never went away. Can you imagine the rage Riko must've felt every time Jean spoke?? How much pain Riko must've inflicted on him after Kevin left and he was reminded of their betrayal every single time Jean spoke????

Nora saying Neil would probably never have left Jean alone in the Nest if he had grown up there is so devastating to me in so many ways because the Neil we know is all about self preservation - see the whole zombie apocalypse/"i want to go back for you" conversation - and to know that given the circumstances if Neil and Jean grew up together they'd both be property, they'd be each others partners, but maybe they'd also be friends, be made of the same stuff (they already are!!), unable to leave each other behind, be each other's anchors.

(And not mention the implications on Kevin and Jean's relationship bc Kevin would always leave (?) and what does that say about how he sees and understands Jean and his place as property. something something about "i love you, but i can't fight for you".)
