was hanging out with someone today and she was talking about how she would shoot the hawks and eagles if they went after her indoor/outdoor cat and i had to struggle to keep a straight face. there is an EASY fucking solution to this problem that doesn't involve killing federally protected wildlife OR your poor damn cat. who got in a fight last night and left fur all over the place.

thinking about how in angel's egg the girl is. well. a little girl (and innocent kid) and is also near pure white in skin tone and hair and is also followed by feathers whenever she runs

#the bird is god the egg is the son the girl is the holy spiritt #the man is judas #the egg is the son (jesus) and he betrays the girl by destroying the egg when she is asleep #the water bottles are offerings to the bird (god)#the man fears god . he thinks god has abandoned them and fears a potential wipeout with the water levels rising every night #thats why he qoutes the bible passages about the story of god trying to destory humankind #thats why he destroys the egg. he is frightened of what may be inside #id say hes also scared of the girl a tinsy bit but that's just my personal understanding of his facial expressions #i think the fish shadows and the other men represent humanitys determination to live and persevere #also how desperation for a better life in times of tough can quickly turn into anger at the wrong ppl #those damn fish arent doing anything! but its the closet thing the people of the town can try and kill to earn back a sense of agency #the towns are going to keep flooding every night anyway though because they're directing their anger at the wrong thing #i still rlly enjoy the reveal that the land is actually noah's ark flipped upside down #again going into my thing of humanitys determination to survive. they couldnt find land so they live on the literal boat #does depend on whether or not you interpret the towns flooding at night god trying to finish the job and destory his creation or if its like #rising sea tide or sm. im personally more inclined to the 1st one tho #especially with whatever the hell is going on with that big sphere eyeball thing #i still dont know what the deal with that thing is after so many rewatches #i fear i never well #if you made it this far . congrats. also watch angels egg #i wanted to compile my thoughts somewhere.. unfortunately i dont think ill ever make a coherent post about this movie #its just too Like That and full of mystery for me to ever be happy with an analysis cuz theres definitely going to be a plot hole in there #somewhere so take instead.. unorganized thoughts of my brain jumping from idea to idea #angels egg #angels egg spoilers

oh punk gig update: it was one of the best nights ive had in a while lmao. the two opening bands (paint fumes and dirty fences) were both really good and then the main band, the chats, was fucking outstanding. they played 4 out of 5 of my favorite songs and the rest of their set list was sick.

#shout out to my nana for saying my dad spends money like water #my dad who struggles with the idea of spending money bc of obsessive compilation thoughts but is making an effort #bc whats the point of saving up all your life just to die. nana? my dad whose wife is literally dying of cancer and is beginning to circle #the drain so hes deciding he wants to start spending his retirement money now while shes still alive. u old witch. people won't fucking FORGET me i can't handle this anymore there's always a friend who wants to go someplace a friend who needs someone to go to the store with a friend who hasn't seen me in a while who wants to hangout, and i can't let those friendships decay i just can't i can't be this kind of asshole again, but it feels so shit it feels like i can't fucking relax cuz there's always something tomorrow something next week and something to do at school between classes and holy SHIT leave me ALONE please fucking stop talking to me i just want to relax and do things i enjoy.

#part of that is of course that ''going home'' isn't relaxing it's just waiting around for the next big anxiety-inducing event #and weekends aren't relaxing either because it's just more parent time #i do think my social battery would increase a little if i ever fucking get to live alone finally #but in the meantime i'm stuck doing community service because if i don't then nobody will #i can't refuse to do something helpful or nice for people when the alternative is going to binge and hate myself in my room #i just want to be far far away so badly #then i'll have an excuse #im well and truly stuck. either i go and i have a dreadful time before during and after.#or i don't and im missing out and im an awful friend.#before you hit me w the ''you're allowed to skip on an event your friends won't hate you!!!!''#i want to skip ALL OF THEM #and friendships are watered like plants okay my friends are legitimate not being friends w somebody who never hangs out #jesus christ i want a pause button i want to be stuck in a time loop for a little while #thinking about tomorrow makes me want to rope #i can go to school 9am to 3pm. but technically there's no class.#then my friend wants to go to the night museums for her birthday #which leaves like. five hours at least in the middle. in which we'll have to hang out.#and she wants to get food.#if at any point of that i go home it's the day my mom doesn't work so. i have to spend some more incredibly unsatisfactory time with her.#god it's making me want to rope even more than usual #vent #broadcasting my misery
