While writing the Flapjack review, I really wanted to include a joke about Candy Wife being the ex-wife of the Kandy Man from Doctor Who. But as much as I want to avoid admitting it, the overlap in my audience between cartoon fans and Whovians is pretty slim. And what are the chances every Whovian knows about a one-off villain from the 80s that isn’t allowed to appear again due to copyright troubles involving Bertie Bassett?

High if they’re anything like me, but still.

kelly's dc / marvel verse + that bing ai tho

The general premise is that Kelly is still a surgeon in his day to day life, but not as active as he usually is in his normal verse because he has a new hobby. For years he’s been messing with heart mechanics, implant technology, and different chemical drugs. He’s not really out for world domination, he just wants to do some experimenting to see if the things he comes up with actually work.  So far, he’s figured out a cyborg-ish way of pumping adrenaline into the heart and bottling it up (injectible or pill form for the squeamish) for a good power boost (like xanax but to make u tirelessly stronger). He sells that info (not often the actual product; he isn’t a door to door salesman ok) and let’s other people take a stab at making it so they can beef it up or whatever. That way, they’re more likely to take the fall if they get caught. 

Until he gets set up by:

mcu // SHIELD. He gets a sweet ankle monitor, selective freedoms, and is forced to be their go-to field medic/in-house surgeon. In exchange, he doesn’t have to get locked up for [ REDACTED ] years in prison for alleged bio terrorism.  

dc // SUICIDE SQUAD. His research is confiscated and instead of doing time in the pit, he gets thrown on board as their personal medic. He isn’t a fan of being surrounded by dangerous criminals who have actually committed the crimes they were being taken down for ... but he also isn’t a fan of prison.

A Dalek, Cyberman, lce Warrior, Zygon, Terileptil, Sontaran, the Kandyman. And the Master as portrayed by Roger Delgado with his TARDIS, in the shape of the Melkur from ‘The Keeper of Traken’.

Some *very* forbidden biscuits.

Great fun to put together, interpreting such colourful and characterful designs.
