Self Empowerment… . Self Empowerment is not simply building confidence, it is the training to increase the mental, physical, spiritual, political, social, or economic strength that is on the inside and the outside of the person. This is much different than building self confidence where you believe in your...self, this is training in the arts to make everything that you are, all of the elements of your personality, stronger and more efficient towards your path of enlightenment. . In Budo, the teachings are to make yourself better, while making everyone around you better. This is not just fighting technique, but in all areas of life. This also stems from Kamae as kamae is a reflection of who you are and if you are not refined correctly this will show in your kamae and gives you a major weakness that your enemy will prey on. . Don't let the negativity given to you by the world dis-empower you. Instead give to yourself that which empowers you, and share with the world that of what you have found. . ⛩ #KansasCity #SelfEmpowerment #Ninja #NinjaTraining #Ninjutsu #NinjutsuTraining #Ninpo #Bujutsu #Budo #Jujutsu #Jujitsu #Aikijujutsu #Aikido #Kenpo #Kempo #Karate #Karatedo #KarateLife #KarateTraining #Taijutsu #MartialArts #MartialArtsLife #MartialArtsTraining #SelfDefense #SelfDefenseTraining #TraditionalMartialArts #JapaneseMartialArts https://www.instagram.com/p/Co-uSg4P5sD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Stepping into my third tournament with GKR (Getting Kicked 'Round) :-)
Stepping into my third tournament with GKR (Getting Kicked 'Round)(2013), I had all the confidence of a karate panda who just binge-watched kung fu movies. The stage was set, my karate stance was on point, and my expectations were high enough to touch the moon. 🐼🌕
But, oh boy, my first match was like a scene from a comedy sketch gone wrong. I guess I confused 'karate' with 'karaoke' because my moves seemed to hit all the wrong notes! And the judges' decisions? Let's just say, I was as puzzled as a cat at a dog show. 😺🐶
Now, I'd like to think my post-match face was a mix of determination and slight embarrassment, but it's possible I resembled a confused emoji more. 😅 But hey, life's a dojo, and sometimes we learn more from our 'oops' moments than our 'ta-da' moments, right?
So, if you ever find yourself thinking 'Did I just challenge Bruce Lee?', remember my tale of humble hilarity. And if all else fails, at least I've got some solid material for the next family gathering! 🤣🥋
“Life is what you make it,” a quote by Peter McWilliams, has been my guiding principle since childhood.
My life has been a journey of sweat, kicks, and numerous gold medals. ✨ I started playing karate with my dad in 2011, just a playful kid with big dreams.
By 2013, I had won my first gold in Kata and a silver in Kumite at a district tournament. That's when everything changed – I became serious about this sport.
The victories kept coming: two golds at the JSKKOI State Championships, then representing Maharashtra at Nationals in 2016 (bringing home two more golds and earning the title of “Best Karate Player of the Year”).
Even the pandemic couldn't stop me. 2020 was all about training harder than ever, with one goal in mind: representing India. And in 2022, that dream became a reality – I won gold in Kumite and silver in Kata at the JSSKOI Nationals. 🇮🇳
From 2016 to 2023, I participated in seven JSKKOI National Championships, winning nine golds, three silvers, and two bronzes. This karate kid is still hungry for more. My next stop? The WKF Karate 1 Series A – let's go!
But it's not just about the medals. My love for sports led me to IISM to pursue a Master's in Sports Management. This place isn't just about academics; it's about opportunities, like snagging an internship with the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup!
A huge thanks to IISM for their constant support and for helping me turn my passion into a career.

Kamae is more than just postures and stances. Kamae comes from the inside out, as does all of the wonderful things that we do in life such as love, compasion, your personality as well as your fighting spirit. . Kamae is the opportunity to embody and unify the mind, body, and spirit/attitude all toward a common goal. . The warrior's kamae are natural reflections of directed intention. This is not a form to be set as law, these are principals to be set and formed towards kamae. . Kamae (構え) is alive, it breaths and changes with everyone of your movements. Don't practice kamae in a fixed ridged way, you are missing one of the most beautiful lessons of taijutsu. . ⛩ #KansasCity #Kamae #Ninja #NinjaTraining #Ninjutsu #NinjutsuTraining #Ninpo #Bujutsu #Budo #Jujutsu #Jujitsu #Aikijujutsu #Aikido #Kenpo #Kempo #Karate #Karatedo #KarateLife #KarateTraining #Taijutsu #MartialArts #MartialArtsLife #MartialArtsTraining #SelfDefense #SelfDefenseTraining #TraditionalMartialArts #JapaneseMartialArts https://www.instagram.com/p/Co3DpYvP_DG/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Martial Arts is for everybody. People train for many different reasons but the common goal is to be a part of a community, who sweat together but also grow together in their learnings.
Finding the right dojo makes all the difference.
Life will give you what you fight for. Dare to do something different.
