Yeah since her flying spies are gone and she's busy having a temper tantrum, now is the best time to plan some sweet sweet REVENGE!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...Well, if we can't call in any help, we may was well start planning that instead.
Tumblr media
Hamoponi and I are ready to go whenever you are!
Tumblr media
Agreed!
Tumblr media
Yep, let's get to it.
Tumblr media
Alright, we need to start planning who goes where.
Tumblr media
May I make a suggestion?
Tumblr media
Mayumi-chan, Hinata-san's father and grandfather are currently searching for Matsuda. Why is it that, during all this time, Matsuda has been desperate to remain out of sight?
Tumblr media
We have plenty of people on our side, do we not? I say we have some assist them in this search.
Tumblr media
And then we can persuade him to tell us what we knows about all this.

Summary:
In the distant past, the Guardian of the Milky Way galaxy named Lanancuras began to harbor a desire for more power. Because of his connection to the galaxy, he was able to absorb parts of planets and add them to his strength. As a result, he began invading the worlds he was assigned to protect. In the wake of his destruction, a following of creatures from across the galaxy pledged allegiance to Lanancuras and became known as the Kadrians. Taking notice of his ever-growing power and followers, the other Celestial Guardians confronted him; however, he had become too powerful, and they were defeated. Unable to subdue Lanancuras, the Celestial Guardians each gave up a part of their power and combined it into a single new Guardian, Mushra. In a final desperate attempt, they used Mushra's core by transforming it into a powerful card with which to seal Lanancuras in a prison. The prison was created from the remains of planets that had suffered under Lanancuras' tyranny. Because planets are themselves large beings, their combined strength (along with the power of the card) was able to restrain him. Thus Lanancuras was successfully sealed in a large meteorite.
The meteorite was sent off into the galaxy to be sealed forever. Meanwhile, the way Lanancuras had increased his strength had consequences on the planets of the Milky Way On Earth, around the 22nd century, it was in the shape of a virus that merged with human DNA and destroyed the humans that way. In order to eliminate the virus, scientists worked on combining human DNA with the DNA of animals and other creatures immune to the effects. They succeeded and created a sentient race known as Enterrans (a race of engineered Earthlings) which are based on humans, insects, reptiles, birds, sea creatures, wild beasts, and phantom beasts. Eventually, a cure was found and the human race survived.
However, due to Lanancuras' influence, the Enterrans fought their human creators as well as the robots that worked with the humans, driving the human race to a near extinction state. Luckily, a scientist named Dr. Daigo Tatsuro placed his 4-year-old daughter Yakumo in a sleep chamber in hopes that she would save the human race and find the human sanctuary Shinzo and bring peace back to Earth which was then renamed to Enterra. When the meteor that Lanancuras was imprisoned in struck Earth during the earlier parts of the Human-Enterran War, its fragment had struck an infant Yakumo giving her abilities that she would later discover.

Lovers and Liars | Draco Malfoy

Chapter Four
Chapter Five: Elegant
Three years before, Lorelei Morrigan had walked with Pansy Parkinson into Ollivander’s Wand Shop in Diagon Alley, helping her friend to find a suitable wand before the start of school. The two girls had been spending their day at Diagon Alley together, shopping for their school supplies alone after their parents had sent them out with more than enough money to get whatever it was they needed.
Both their parents couldn’t really be bothered to take them themselves. Lorelei had already gotten a wand about a week prior, when her parents had taken her to famously exclusive wandmaker Keiko Inoue, famed for her rather extensive collection of available materials.
Ollivander’s was the last stop on Pansy’s list, while Lorelei had already finished every stop on hers. So, she ventured into Ollivander’s with Pansy as mere moral support, knowing that Pansy Parkinson was often rather temperamental with those who worked in customer service.
The two eleven year-old girls walked into the wand shop to find that it was currently empty, apart from Mr. Ollivander manning the counter. The old man looked up with curiosity as they walked in. He seemed to immediately recognize them as he smiled to greet them.
“Welcome, ladies,” he said cheerfully.
“Hello, sir,” Lorelei said respectfully.
The wand maker nodded appreciatively. Pansy, however, unaffected by hesitation all her life, approached the counter eagerly.
“I’ve come to get my wand,” the dark-haired girl announced assertively.
Ollivander glanced behind her at Lorelei, who just smiled, fully aware of the experience Ollivander would be more than likely to have with her.
“Well, you’ve come to the right place,” the shop owner said with a forced smile, maintaining some sense of sarcasm in his compliance.
“I want something powerful,” Pansy announced with determination. “And beautiful, and effective… Something that can’t be beaten.”
“I’m afraid wands aren’t quite that simple, Miss…?” he stopped as if to ask her name.
Pansy rolled her eyes, offended by the fact that he didn’t recognize her immediately.’
“Parkinson!”
“Ah, yes,” Mr. Ollivander nodded with a certain regret in his eyes, “Of course… I believe I can find something suitable. One moment.”
He disappeared into a vast display of shelves upon shelves of wands, searching for one to offer to Pansy. Lorelei watched as she found humor in the situation, wondering just how badly this would go. She looked at her friend, finding that she still seemed rather satisfied with herself, as if she’d ‘won’ somehow.
After a short period of consideration, Mr. Ollivander returned with at least four different boxes, having found a decent amount of wands that might suit Pansy.
“Here you are, Miss Parkinson. Try this,” he suggested, pulling a shorter wand from its box.
“And what exactly do I do with this?” she demanded impatiently.
Lorelei sighed as she watched with her arms crossed, embarrassed by her friend’s behavior.
“Give it a wave,” the old man replied.
Pansy practically stabbed at the air with the wand, frowning as it yielded no result.
“What’s it made of?” she inquired.
“Aspen, with a core of dragon heartstring. Nine and a half inches.”
Pansy began aggressively hacking with the wand, until Ollivander interrupted, unable to watch any longer.
“Alright, alright, why don’t we try another one, hmm?” he suggested, taking the wand as Pansy just scowled.
He carefully returned it to its box, carefully taking another one from the pile of wands he’d selected. He found another, a longer, dark-colored wand.
“Perhaps this one will be a better match,” he provided, watching as she took it. “Chestnut, dragon heartstring core. Thirteen inches.”
As soon as Pansy took the wand, she brandished it proudly with a forceful flick. Lorelei looked up in surprise as one of Ollivander’s books whizzed up into the air, hovering at least two feet above the wooden countertop as he watched with satisfaction.
“Wonderful,” he remarked as Pansy laughed lightly in disbelief, looking proud and excited. “I believe a wand has chosen you.”
Pansy readily handed over the amount that Ollivander asked as she took her new wand, happy with the purchase. The shop owner eventually turned to Lorelei, who stood behind her friend.
“Will you be needing a wand as well, Miss…?”
“Morrigan,” she stated. “Lorelei Morrigan.”
“Lorelei Morrigan?” Ollivander stared at her, carefully examining her features. “Daughter of Eoin and Heloise Morrigan?” he concluded.
“Yes, sir,” she nodded.
The old man just smiled. “I remember the day I sold little Heloise Ackerley her first wand… How sweet she was, really...”
Pansy irritably rolled her eyes as soon as the conversation topic shifted from her.
“I haven’t actually spoken to your mother since, but she has grown into quite the elegant woman,” Ollivander recalled. “I’d be happy to help you find the perfect wand for you today.”
“Oh, I’ve already got a wand,” Lorelei told him, “But thank you.”
“May I ask the wandmaker?” he wondered with immense curiosity. “I’ve heard your father favors Gregorovitch, if I’m not mistaken…”
“My parents took me to Keiko Inoue,” Lorelei shared.
Pansy frowned, bored, as the look on Ollivander’s wrinkled face turned to awe.
“You… You have a custom Keiko?” Ollivander questioned.
“I do,” she replied.
“May I please see it?” he begged, immediately ashamed of his curiosity, “Forgive me…”
“It’s perfectly okay,” Lorelei promised, drawing her wand. “Here you go…”
She unsheathed her wand, handing it up to him as he took it even more carefully than he would one of his own wands, as if terrified to even scratch it. He nearly gasped as he held the instrument in his hands, amazed by the craftsmanship.
“Incredible. Absolutely exquisite,” he whispered. “I’ve never seen anything like it before… Potent, but elegant…”
Pansy crossed her arms as she waited for her friend.
“Made from cherry wood, I see. Thirteen and three quarter-inches. Quite elegant. Very rare in the west,” Ollivander observed as he held the wand in his hands. “And the core…?”
He carefully lifted it up to his ear, almost as if to listen to what it had to say for itself. His eyes widened even more as he listened.
“No. It can’t be,” he murmured, lost in the possibility, “It can’t be.”
He was petrified, as if with fear.
“Basilisk horn. However did she manage it?”
“It wasn’t cheap,” Lorelei explained. “But, when she handed me that wand… I don’t know. It’s difficult to explain, really,” she admitted.
“Please,” he said excitedly, “You must share with me. Please,” he pleaded.
“I don’t know. I just sensed it, you know?” she thought.
“Indeed I do,” Ollivander agreed. “That’s a very special wand you’ve got there… Treat it carefully,” he advised her.
“Thank you,” she smiled, taking it back.
Lorelei and Pansy left the store together, as Pansy demanded that they go and get something to eat. Just as the girls headed off, someone else appeared behind them, having been waiting in front of another shop. The young boy looked around nervously before entering Ollivander’s shop, looking only for one thing.
“Hello, Mr. Nott,” Ollivander said in surprise as he saw who he entered his store. “How can I help you?”
“That girl. The one who just left your store,” Theodore said finally.
“Miss Parkinson?”
“No, not Pansy,” Theo shook his head, “The other one. The one with the red hair. I’ve seen her before, but I don’t know her name.”
“Ah. That’d be Lorelei Morrigan,” Mr. Ollivander nodded.
“Yes! Her,” Theo realized. “Do you know anything about her?”
Ollivander studied him for a moment before providing an answer.
“I know very little about Miss Morrigan, unfortunately. However, I can say that I know her wand,” he responded thoughtfully.
“How would that help me, exactly?” Theo said inquisitively.
“Well,” the elderly man began, “Specific wands are said to be suitable to witches, and wizards, with different qualities. Such is the foundation of wandlore,” he explained.
“Wands can tell you about their owners?” the boy deduced quickly.
“That’s right,” Mr. Ollivander nodded, impressed by the child’s thoughtful and inquisitive nature.
“And what can Lorelei Morrigan’s wand tell you about her?” Theo asked him.
Mr. Ollivander thought for a while.
“Well, you see, Miss Morrigan’s wand is made from cherry wood. Rather uncommon, especially among English wizards, although certainly not unheard of. Cherry is a very fascinating wood. Prized among the wizards in Japan.”
Theo held onto every word he said with determination, trying to analyze every factor of the information that he was provided with.
“Many people see the beauty in cherry wood before they see the power, the potential. It has the potential to be a very lethal wood, especially when paired with a wand core of dragon heartstring,” Mr. Ollivander informed him. “The core of Miss Morrigan’s wand, however, is much rarer, much more powerful, and much darker than dragon heartstring.”
“What is it?” Theo questioned.
“Basilisk horn,” Ollivander said simply.
Theo looked up at him with a sparked curiosity in his eyes.
“Like Salazar Slytherin’s wand?”
Mr. Ollivander smiled, genuinely impressed by his knowledge. “Yes. Exactly so.”
“Does that mean she’s a Dark witch?” Theo asked in confusion.
“No. No, certainly not,” Mr. Ollivander assured him, “Wands are never quite that simple… Basilisk horn as a wand core would be more likely to choose an individual prone to more forceful, or aggressive magic, but Dark magic is not necessarily a given. Basilisk horn wands, as legend has it, supposedly only choose Parselmouth wielders, although I’m not convinced that this is true.”
“What else?” Theo prompted.
“Well… Basilisk horn wands are, I’m sure, fairly Dark in nature, coming from such a powerful Dark creature. The core is said to be highly powerful and highly intelligent in wands… I have heard that they can act with sentience, casting spells of their own accord in order to protect or serve their masters, and their respective agendas,” Mr. Ollivander recited his knowledge. “The basilisk horn wand would never choose a wielder who doesn’t strive for greatness… or, great evil, I admit. But at the risk of buying into old wives’ tales, the wielders of Basilisk horn wands are said to be less susceptible to most poisons.”
“Do you judge people by their wands?” Theo asked consequently.
“I wouldn’t necessarily use the word ‘judge’,” Ollivander considered. “But they do tend to be insightful indicators at times.”
“And what about my wand?” Theo asked him.
“Let’s see… Walnut, phoenix feather core… Twelve and three quarter-inches. Very pliant. You, sir, must be a clever and inquisitive individual, in my opinion,” Ollivander remarked candidly. “Walnut wands don’t choose unintelligent wizards.”
Theo considered this, seeming to be less impressed by this particular discovery than most would be.
“And, what would you make of both of these wand owners? Together?” he thought. “Their personalities interacting.”
“Well…” he said softly.
Ollivander took a while to consider the question.
“I’m not sure I’d want to imagine that,” he confessed truthfully.

I think if I said who my favorite characters in media were, it wouldn't surprise anyone here. Instead it'd be like that explains so fucking much while saying nothing. So fuck it.
A list of favorite characters from every hyper fixation I've ever had.
YuYu Hakusho (I would recommend both the manga and anime bpth are very good times.)
Yusuke Urameshi Keiko Yukimura Kazuma Kuwabara (I love Kuwabara he's great- He's amazing good guy.).
Since we're on Yoshiro Togashi's work anyway-
Hunter x Hunter
Killua Zoldyck Leorio Paladiknight Knuckle Bine
Detective Conan
Shinichi Kudo (I too am irresponsible and full of hubris I would have followed that criminal too at his age.) Ran Mori Heiji Hattori
Shaman King
Yoh Hao Asakura
It's equal but I lean more favorably towards Yoh. Favorite Yu-gi-oh series and protagonist
Yu-Gi-Oh GX
Judai Yuki (I don't think this says anything. I'm just correct, actually.)
Bleach
Orihime Inoue (Always forever sweet lady amazing girl.) Captain Unohana Oldman Yamamoto Toshiro Hitsugaya Kenpachi and Ichigo (I like them both to about the same degree.)
Naruto
Naruto Hinata Neji Shikamaru Sakura Ino Tamari
Oh, wait Akamaru. Yep that's every- oh and Shino! Wait and Choji. Probably Tamari's entire team, too, and can't forget Neji. In fact there we go he's up where he belongs. Naruto has a huge fucking cast. Most of them are interesting chaaracters. Bleach has a fucking huge cast as well.
Code Geass
Lelouch Euphemia Suzaku Akito from Akito the exiled (this is also correct).
Boruto
I'm committed to what I like-
Boruto Shikadai Chocho (this is just correct too actually I don't look in this fandom so fuck it I make this rule now) Himawari Inojin.
One Punch Man
Garo (I said he could beat Saitama in the manga and my nephews made fun of me because he's never won anywhere else. But that shit was a fight in the manga instead of a one hit out.) Metal Bat (I have a character type leave me alone. Yes, I recognize having Kuwabara, Knuckle Brine, and then him here sets a pattern. But I'd argue it's a good one.)

It was the first thing I enjoyed reading. I don't think I have to explain this but I liked everyone that appeared frequently in this.
Deadpool (mostly due to the Spider-man team up comics and the movies.)
W.I.T.C.H
Irma Hay Lin Will Taranee Cornelia Elyon
Totally Spies
Alex Clover Sam
Martin Mystery (A show nobody knows)
Martin
Invader Zim
Dib Gaz Tak
Gravity Falls
Dipper Pines Pacifica Mabel Stanley
I was typing this up during that whole other thing people may have seen. I don't know what this list can tell anyone about me. It is funny to go over for me personally because a lot of the characterization stuff I like from Milgram can be found in most of these series. Which is proably why I have trouble actually picking favorites in regards to Milgram since all of the characters have traits I enjoy.
But yeah that's a little bit about me I guess. I do enjoy a lot of the characterization I see in Milgram. This is much more casual and generally being written up to give some idea of my likes. Though most of these are good watches, reads, or plays. Most are pretty well known but I would recommend Spiral since it's not that talked about in general.
Well, that's it.

Let's Read: A Requiem for Char: The Red Comet of My Youth - Chapter 4
by Shūichi Ikeda
Tumblr media
This post will be an overview of the third chapter, Friends Connected by Gundam. Below are links to the previous chapters.
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3
In this chapter, Ikeda discusses his relationships with some of his fellow voice actors while recording Mobile Suit Gundam. This includes Tōru Furuya (Amuro), Fuyumi Shiraishi (Mirai), Hirotaka Suzuoki (Bright), Katsuji Mori (Garma), and Keiko Han (Lalah)
Tumblr media
He begins with Tōru Furuya, the voice of Char’s eternal rival, Amuro Ray. Ikeda recalls how they didn’t talk much at first outside of the studio, one of the main reasons being that Furuya didn’t drink at the time.
Interestingly, he comments how that early distance between them actually was a benefit to the work.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ikeda: In the scene where Char and Amuro meet for the first time, there is a contrast between the tense Amuro and Char's relaxed attitude, and I think this scene also utilized the tension of the time in a positive way. Toru-chan and I's actual relationship certainly resembled the relationship between Amuro and Char.
He continues by discussing the recording of Zeta: A New Translation.
Ikeda: It has been 20 years since I first performed in the Mobile Suit Z Gundam series, but when I stand in front of the microphone with Toru-chan, the atmosphere of those days mysteriously comes back to me. Without any discussion, the relationship between Amuro and Char immediately returns. I am happy to see that Toru-chan is still in good health, and that he has not changed at all.
Tumblr media
Finally, a bit of a humorous note at the end - while Furuya didn’t drink during the time he was recording Gundam, he began doing so within the past ten years (as of this book's writing in 2007), to the point where he even surpassed Ikeda in alcohol tolerance.
In Ikeda’s words, “I never thought I would lose to Amuro-kun in such a way.”
Tumblr media
Next, Fuyumi Shiraishi, the voice of Mirai Yashima. Ikeda had acted alongside her in Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3 and was honored to have the opportunity to do so again for Gundam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He mentions how, despite how often Director Tomino would come in with specific requests on how to perform a scene, the two never clashed, and Shiraishi would just respond with a cute “oka~y!”. However, Ikeda believes she gave priority to her own inspiration for the role.
Ikeda describes Shiraishi as a “cute younger sister-like older sister”, despite being one of the senior members of the cast at the time. He fondly remembers her as a great senior who was bright and playful and always kept the studio in a good mood.
Tumblr media
Now Hirotaka Suzuoki, voice of Bright Noa, and also the voice of the main character (Banjou Haran) from Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3, which is where he and Ikeda became friends.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ikeda explains that while he didn’t often like drinking with people his own age, Suzuoki was different. While it's easy to complain, whine, and lick each other's wounds at drinking parties with people of the same generation, Suzuoki never did so. In his words, "He drinks with I, a man of the Zeon army while serving in the Federation. For the two of us, it didn’t matter whether it was Zeon or the Federation."
On a night drinking after the recording of Zeta: A New Translation, Ikeda remembers saying to him,
"You (Suzuoki) can't go first. I (Ikeda) am two months older than you, so keep your turn."
In reference to the fact both had grieved together for the passing of Yō Inoue (voice of Sayla Mass), a few years earlier. Tragically Suzuoki passed away in 2006, a year before this book’s publication.
Tumblr media
Next, Katsuji Mori, the voice of Garma Zabi. He and Ikeda actually met many years before the recording for Gundam while both were still in junior high school and co-stars on a TV drama written by Genzō Murakami. Mori was already a star in the anime world thanks to his roles as Gou Mifune in Speed Racer and Ken Washio in Science Ninja Team Gatchaman.
"Why is Shu-chan Char? (Laughs)" "Why is Mori-san Garma? (Laughs)"
He remembers they had such an interaction upon seeing each other again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ikeda: I am sure Mori-san did not expect to be told by me, a younger man whom he has known since he was a child actor, that "he was a spoiled kid". He is a reliable "kid" who took care of me, who was unfamiliar with anime.
Tumblr media
Finally, Keiko Han, the voice of Lalah Sune. Ikeda had worked with her in dubbing the overseas drama series Man from Atlantis and was excited to meet her again on the set of Gundam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ikeda: Han-san is a very unusual voice actor, and her tempo is slightly different from my performance. This created a mysterious atmosphere that flowed between Char and Lalah, and it made for an indescribably soft performance. We did not plan this beforehand, so the way they deviate from each other differs from time to time, but it gives the work a good flavor.
Outside of voice acting, Han is also an astrologer and authored many books on the subject. Among the voice actors, it is famous that her fortune telling is often correct.
“Ikeda-san, next year will be a good year for you.”
Ikeda: Han-san says this every time she sees me. I don't know if it is lip service or if she only tells me when my luck is good, but at any rate, my pragmatism and Han-san's ability to see beyond the mystical may be a surprisingly good match. At least when Han-san was asked to play the role of the lover, she seemed to be very compatible with my performance.

That's all for my summary of chapter 4. Thank you for reading!

Sai No Ohanashi (Tale of Sái) is the title of a small yet cheerful booklet contained in the rare preview edition of the 1998 Shift game XI - Devil Dice in the west. Part of the Game Yaroze project - not to be mistaken for Net Yaroze -, it was one of the most successful SCE puzzle games of the time, deserving of two sequels and multiple ports to different Playstation systems over the years. The characters also went on to become one of the most recognizable mascots of the Sony game universe alongside Toro Inoue or Boku from the 'My Summer Holiday' series, still used by many players as their PSN avatar. These illustrations were created by children’s book author Dan Yaccarino, while the text was authored by Keiko Hidaka. I had posted this years ago on Eastern Mind but thought it was about time to make cleaner scans and replace the Japanese text with English instead.

Keiji Sada and Yuko Mochizuki in Tragedy of Japan (Keisuke Kinoshita, 1953) Cast: Yuko Mochizuki, Yoko Katsuragi, Masami Taura, Teiji Takahasi, Keiji Sada, Ken Uehara, Sanae Takasugi, Keiko Awaji. Screenplay: Keisuke Kinoshita. Cinematography: Hiroshi Kusuda. Art direction: Kimihiko Nakamura. Music: Chuji Kinoshita.  Tragedy of Japan is the Criterion Channel's title for Keisuke Kinoshita's film, but I prefer the one used on IMDb and elsewhere: A Japanese Tragedy. Not only does that title echo Theodore Dreiser's An American Tragedy, but it also particularizes the story better. What happens to Haruko Inoue (Yuko Mochizuki) and her children is not a microcosm of recent Japanese history but a product of it -- one among millions, including those told in Kinoshita's many films. The film also demonstrates something of Kinoshita's tendency to overreach, often with distracting innovations such as the oval masks that frame scenes in You Were Like a Wild Chrysanthemum (1955) or the color washes that creep into The River Fuefuki (1960). Here it's an unwise use of extensive documentary footage of the war and its aftermath as a frame for the fictional story. The contrast between the raw actuality of news footage and the artifice of movie storytelling works to the disadvantage of the latter. Which is unfortunate because Kinoshita has a good story to tell about Haruko's attempts to survive and to provide for her children and the unforeseen consequences of her efforts, as well as the problems faced by Seiichi (Masami Taura) in his ambitious pursuit of a medical career and Utako (Yoko Katsuragi) in her disastrous involvement with her English teacher. None of Haruko's good deeds, it seems, go unpunished, as the skirting of the law that she found necessary is held against her in more peaceful and prosperous times. Despite the mistaken attempt to fold these stories into a larger historical context, this is one of Kinoshita's better films, marked by some very good acting and genuine human dilemmas.
