I see so many modern AUs that have Obi-Wan as like a teacher or something and he always reads romance novels and old history stuff and while I absolutely believe that I think we're missing the opportunity to also have him read really fucked up psychological horror and just general horror novels. Like think of the opportunities:

Anakin: what's happening in your book now?

Obi-Wan: the main character has just realised the ring her boyfriend gave her actually has one of her dead sisters teeth in it :]

Anakin: oh, that's fun :/

Or Cody picking up his book to skim over what it's about and he ends up texting Rex

Cody: i think my boyfriends a psychopath

Rex: i told you so, i've seen what kinda bland shit he eats

Cody: he's british leave him alone, i meant the book he's reading, it's about a woman who talks her girlfriend into giving herself a tapeworm because they're long distance lesbians who can't get pregnant

Rex: you do know how to fucking pick them don't you, what are the pros to you staying in this relationship other than you getting murdered

Cody: have you seen the man's legs?!

Rex: stop being gay and go back to your serial killer boyfriend

sometimes the comics decide to commit violence with their tragic irony, like 12 year old anakin here is with his master out on a mission, having a slight miscommunication about the fact that they are not (yet) bitter enemies, not (yet) divided as jedi and sith. we the audience know, though, what "aggressive discussions" await them both 😭

I would love an AU where Anakin grows up in Tattooine and still extremely force sensitive but he just thinks he has good instincts and being able to tell when someone is lying with 100% accuracy is normal, so when Obi Wan finds him he's like "how could you tell there was an ambush there?? How did you know they were lying???? HOW DID YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THE SNIPER WAS DO YOU THINK THAT'S NORMAL"

and Ani is like "lol idk I just could tell"

aotc where everything is the same but they take their shoes off at the door. fluffy slippers for anakin and obi-wan in padmé's apartment. obi-wan jumps out the window with the slippers on. anakin wasn't late because he was looking for a speeder, he was hopping around trying to get his boots on.

Why High School Musical 2 and Revenge Of The Sith are almost the same film

Okay so we have the main character

who is a part of a community

But he's worried about his future e.g Anakin is worried about Padme dying, Troy is worried about going to college and knowing what to do with his life.

He has a best friend who's got his back

and a love interest

We then have a villain/girlboss

who really admires the main character and will do anything to have them join them.

So Palpatine/Sharpay offers Anakin/ Troy what they want. Anakin wants Padme to be safe and rank of master. Troy wants a college scholarship.

Over time Anakin/Troy loses his morals and begins to enjoy this new power, driving him away from the Jedi/wildcats.

We see this with Anakin giving into the dark side, and Troy loving his italian shoes and new golf job and being rude when his friends are serving him food. Also ditching his friends to play basketball with the scholarship people.

There is also a side plot where Anakin gets false suspicions of Obi-Wan and Padme being a thing, and Troy gets sus about Ryan and Gabriella being a thing.

Anyways now that palpatine/sharpay has Anakin/Troy, they no longer need their original partner/apprentice

Obi-Wan/Chad confronts Anakin/ Troy and have a big falling out

 And Padme/Gabriella are so heartbroken that they have a really dramatic goodbye scene.

Padme dies/Gabriella leaves and everyone is mourning their leaving

Palpatine/sharpay commits the worst offence. Palpatine executes order 66

Sharpay makes the east high crew work during the talent show.

The main difference is that Troy realises his errors and fixes everything, whilst Anakin continues on into the dark side.

Oh and that there’s no singing in Revenge of the sith but you CAN’T tell me that Anakin wasn’t singing Bet On It whilst he was alone on mustafar.
