bear with me here, I'm fresh off the research presses, lacking of sleep, and with the motor control skills of someone who somehow survived the electric chair. this one might be formatted a little different

KUPRUM AND FOZZER AKA KUPZER/FOZRUM/ I COULDN'T EVEN BEGIN TO THINK OF A FUNNY NAME ASIDE FROM RA RA RASPUTIN WHICH SUCKS BUT WHATEVER

lets cover the basics

kuprum maxlol. hope aspect, prospit sway. redditor, essentially. extremely powerful psionic, trizza simp.

fozzer velyes. heart aspect, derse sway. gravedigger, cemetery tender. former revolutionaire, now royalist, tragic victim of doc scratch being a fucking kidney stone of a man. fozzers route made me a little bit sad tbh.

into the dynamic.

while having some things in common, they've also got a few key differences i believe may be conducive to a rivalry, and a few that aren't.

-royalism. both know where their loyalties lie. with fozzer thinking there couldn't be a better system out there, and kuprum generally just being the number 1 trizza fan on Alternia. he seems to believe that he's going to be the gold to power her ship, and honestly if all goes as is designed, i dont doubt it, considering the purpose of the moiraillegence he has with folykl. he knows what happens to the greatest psychics, and is "sincerely thrilled" (>mfw car battery and loving it) to have that happen to him.

fozzer... hm. his opinion on this, i suppose, could go one of two ways, or possibly could cause some conflicting opinions if you wanna take bits of both.

He could be like "ah_yes_fellow_loyalist_I_too_am_thrilled_about_it_or_some_shit" yknow, in agreeance, or, he could hear some of kuprums weird bullshit about getting brainfucked tentacle ways and be like "woah_that_is_an_EXTREME_PERVERSION" but honestly, I'm going to go with the latter. in which case, we have our

respect

from fozzer, at least, the part of the relationship that keeps a rivalry from being just straight up platonic hatred (other than the concupiscent feelings of course, among one or two other things). on kuprums end though? I don't exactly see that being enough for kuprum. I think he'd need a little more.

now, I imagine fozzer, as someone who digs in the fucking hard ass dirt all goddamn day, may possibly be jacked as shit. and I imagine the exact opposite for fucking omegalul headass. then again, he does have that big ass backpack and also carries his moirail around everywhere, but there's also the fact that the muscles used to carry a backpack and the muscles used to do active work with a shovel and maintain a graveyard are very different, as one set is for lifting with your back and shoulders and the other is for warfare against the Dirt And Rocks so that the very ground beneath you yields to your attempts to surgically implant a forever box in it.

I'm not sure if kuprum subscribes to alpha male strength brainrot though. in fact I'm pretty sure he doesn't, considering the little prank he and folykl pulled on those blues. but if you think otherwise, be my guest to incorporate "why is this burgundy physically stronger than me" i guess, which would be conflicting feelings of both respect and

rivalry.

this is getting a little bit long, so sorry about that.

i can see their rivalry being mostly stoked by the fact kuprum is a shit-stirrer, maker of problems.

list of shit that could possibly stoke some annoyance

-pranks. his pranks tend to be uhhh. in the spirit of alternia. can range from mildly infuriating, extremely inconveniencing, or downright dangerous.

-general reddit behavior. speaks for itself

-motherfucker likes to delve out roasts like he works at arbys, he HAS the meats, (not the oblong meat product kind like diemen) and could possibly cause one to develop some beef about it.

i can, actually, believe it or not, also see fozzer retaliating with a subtle jab when provoked, maybe.

summary.

in summary, despite the counterpoints ive brought up, i think these two could possibly form a rivalry that would make sense. if not, i can at least see some sort of unrequited pitch-pining. possibly from kuprums side, believe it or not. vriska at aradia style.

Nepeta and Tavros

SORRY THIS ONE TOOK SO GODDAMN LONG!!! IT SAT IN MY DRAFTS FOR A WHILE. hoohoo!

so i did a little reasearch for this one, because at first i had deemed it NOT plausible. HOWEVER, sometimes i change my mind as im writing or seeing things, so we'll give it a shot and see how it goes. be warned, this one gets a little passive aggressive, not at you, but at andrew shitty. so, this time we're gonna do things a little differently (and to celebrate my first off-anon ask, im gonna include some screenies!)

first, lets establish a few changes to the timeline.

based on this specific block of text. I can get a lot out of this. "if you didnt listen before, something bad might have happened to you" let us imagine, for some reason she did not listen and ended up on team one of the teams, i imagine being introduced to such by terezi. the insertion of nepeta into their FLARP sessions, PERHAPS, would have created a wildly different outcome to the cliff incident. i could go on and on about this scenario and it's nuance, but you're here to read about possible pitch chemistry, not me ranting about timelines and shit. so, with that being said:

nepros/taveta. aka ONCE AGAIN I CANT THINK OF A NAME. BULLCAT? CAT AND BULLY SHOW? WHATEVER.

TAVROS

tavros would find nepeta's skills on the roleplay scene to be pretty fun. and i say this because:

she IS better company, better in every way. he would have FUN with her! they perhaps wouldnt be the most.. how do you say.. typical kismesisitiude (i can see a red-black vacillation) and her catlike mannerisms/love for animal nature(possibly?) could PERHAPS be the driving force for these pitch feelings. the "respect" part of it, i mean. as for the annoyance.... it could perhaps come from tavros's allergy? (not a good enough reason.) or perhaps after getting to know eachother they find things to hate. (ie, imagine tavros's interactions with john when fighting for the ring, except. with nepeta. and make it in character for her.) maybe later into their session is when these pitch feelings would happen. likely after tavros' death?

i think she WOULD have sufficent reason to find tavros to be a worthy pitch partner if he was just WRITTEN better. his fiduspawn skills, his zookinetics/zoolingualism(whatever the FUCK thats called), the fact that he can be. kind of obnoxious and a little (insert however you would label the fucking FIASCO with jades grandpa). honestly the bread and butter of a pitch relationship between these two would really have to rely on perhaps a specific incident or misunderstanding that leads to a bit of resentment that over time turns into something else. there would of course have to be SOMETHING endearing of course, (fact pulled from, say, mindfangs games with her pitch partners or galehk and tagora from the friendsim games) and this could possibly come from the fact he's not a fucking MANIAC when it comes to rp. nepeta doesnt like to rp with vriska because shes so fucked up with it, and tavros is a pretty decent source of some good old rp fun that doesnt involve (cough cough terezi cough) a fake infant big-cat getting fake dropped from the claws of a partially-fake dragon.

i CAN see some funny shenanagins of her pushing his shit off a table and whatever, but if we're bein honest i think mr Tavros "sick fires" nitram would be the more antagonistic party!

RATING: 2/10 IN CANON. IF HUSSIE WASNT A BITCH COWARD WHO COULDNT WRITE THOUGH, OR MAYBE IN AN AU, I'TD RANGE FROM A SOLID 5(1/2)/10 FOR CHEMISTRY WITH, OR A 7/10 FOR SHENANIGANS AND TOMFUCKERY.

overall i think it would work more in the red or pink. but, with sufficient fuel or more backstory to lay out some antagonistic events, or misunderstandings, then some proper kindling hostilities could be there. its got the juice for the positive aspects of a kismesisitude but... i dont think either of them could really push the other to the point they get mad. in a scenario where they could, and things ended up different, i can see it happening MAYBE, but overall, even though this has the tendency to be a really fun ship, as it is in canon it just wouldnt hold.

cute though! and it made me think pretty hard.

are there any rvb fics you still think about all the time? like i dont think a week goes by without thinking abt qed and how it def changed me on a molecular level, do you have any fics like that?

oooh good question. the most important fic is at the bottom of this post so just scroll to the final paragraph if you only want one, true recommendation of the only rvb fic that really matters.

QED is fantastic though its more of @shotgunslap's thing than mine. the partner to that is also obviously QoQ, the only rvb fic ive been able to make almost all my friends read. i think about the south/north characterization every day of my life. caboose and carolina mean so much to me, etc etc. thats a pretty easy pick though so im cracking into my ao3 bookmarks to look for more niche picks.

i know there was actually a lot of rvb fic that was just posted to tumblr that i think ive gone back and tried to reblog at some points but i never organized it, i should have archived it, people who wrote good femslash and rvb women liked to just post it under a readmore on their tumblrlog and you have to go digging through decades old tags to find it now

okay. the big one i actually do still think about all the time forever and ever is saltsanford's stuff about epsilon/wash's relationship. this is the big one i still think about that centers on their backstory, but also, put my guns in the ground, which is one of the Big fandom tuckington longfics, also has such good washpilon stuff in it and they're so fucking juicy. when tucker asks wash how many times he's broken his ribs and he says four and epsilon says "actually it was five" before realizing How Bad of a Move that would be. Hello? Hello?????? i want them to be forced to reimplant and have weird mind brain trauma sex SO BAD sorry im normal. this is another one that takes place during/after the chorus era

on the spectrum of fics that i actually dont yet feel ashamed reccomending, primtheamazing, who wrote QoQ, also wrote some other good stuff. i am a HUGE fan of this fusion fic, the punchline to the tucker/caboose fusion is HYSTERICAL. this one where grif forgets who simmons is due to temple shennanigans and flirts with him is also very like. trope-y but i like that shit so this goes here too

ok. now onto the stuff that it is actively embarrassing for me to be recommending. but. prim's logrimmons fic is hysterical and was the stepping stone to creating the lolixgrimmons mind palaces with my friends so its worth it just for that. but also its really fucking funny. so is the one where locus has to listen to them have sex and gets himself caught

the truly embarrassing one for me to have here is the piece of softboy grimmons content i participate in. sadly i do enjoy s15 content sometimes for the softboy grif sensitive emotions exploration i will admit to being a hypocrite there and i really liked that one and reread it frequently (just realized this is written by the QED person so! you might already know of it)

and then finally. the most important red vs blue fanfiction of all time, guns are for shooting. it has it all. sarge. washington. sarge again. kismesisitude. grif and simmons acting like rosencrantz and guildenstern (are dead). locus being invisible and getting caught by lopez with a bag of flour. it's written by the person who wrote QED.
