New graphics, who 'dis? - Goblin edition

Last installment with all my Goblin kids, they are the nest batch in my altaholic addiction and overall the new graphics are I think going to treat them well. I've also found after talking to several friends that the 'crystal' default setting in the creator isn't kind to ANYONE.

New on the left, old on the right.

L'devah Fhey - looks the same, if only a bit older.

Troy Maerten - I LOVE IT. He actually looks more like the half elezen that he's supposed to be.

Duq Tribeless - All my dark skinned kids are looking SO MUCH BETTER.

Edelweiss Journey - She looks good, the same. Won't really need any changes.

Clematis Journey - Edel's sibling. I've never gotten him to look the way I want him to, until now. He might need some tweaking just to see what the options look like but otherwise yaaay.

Blu Dalmasca - I think the crystal lighting just isn't nice to him here. I'll have to see if he needs any changes under different lighting.

Garaav Nioremont - Overall I like it. some small changes might be needed but it will take getting him into the actual game to see.

Blilly Lee Black - He's one I could never get to look right, but also the only character not a complete OC. Difficult with someone based on a character from another game, but I think he might actually finally look the way I want him to be with the new graphics. Also even as accurate as this hair is.... I think it needs to change, all I can think of when I see it is fucking Asahi...

FFXIVWrite2021 - Prompt 25 - Silver Lining

There was an upside for everything if you looked hard enough for it. A lot of people had a difficult time seeing that, but L’devah was not one of them. Yes, her tribe had fallen apart. Yes, her family was scattered to the winds of she didn’t even know where. But if all of that had never happened, she wouldn’t have found how much she loved working with Chocobos and wouldn’t have her job at the Bentbranch stables. 

Even now, if her family was able to reconnect, she hoped that they would settle nearby, that way she could keep her job and still be with them. Devah smiled at the thought and started daydreaming of when it would all happen.

FFXIVWrite2021 - Prompt 7 - Speculate

This time of the year was Devah’s favorite. Every morning there was a crispness to the air, that matched the yellow, orange, and red leaves that lined the paths. The forest was a riot of warm colors, even as the wind blew in cold with the promise of the season to come. 

She tugged the scarf she knitted up to cover more of her neck as she sat on the fence around the Bentbranch stables. Devah loved being in the Shroud. It was so different from the bare rock, sand, and sad stumpy trees of her youth. She felt a tug at her heart wishing that her clan could be with her. She had barely been able to get to know them all when their nuhn said he couldn’t do it any more and everything fell apart.  There were so many times that she wondered where they all were, what they were all doing, wondered if they would be a family again.   

Devah often speculated on where they could be, her day dreams of going to find them sometimes got so ridiculous that she would start giggling making the others around her look at her oddly. It wouldn’t stop her hoping and dreaming through. She could feel it deep down that one day they would all be back together.

FFXIVWrite2020 - Prompt 18 - Panglossian

L’devah had no idea what either of them were saying half the time. The Ishgardians seemed to speak an entirely different language, using words that took more syllables than the entire sentence she’d reply back with. Perhaps it was an Ishgardian thing considering how long all of their names were. 

She petted along the chocobo’s neck, keeping the bird calm among all the strangers. The group of Ishgardians had come down to Bentbranch to possibly begin a trade program for breeding to possibly preserve the wild population of chocobos in the Dravianian highlands. It seemed to Devah like a fabulous idea and was one of the first to volunteer to show the delegation from the North around their humble but renowned stables. 

The man laughed as did the woman next to him and Devah laughed along nervously, as if she understood what they said, she knew how important it was going to be to make a good impression. “If you would like I can show you all the hatchery? The chicks are impossibly cute and always brighten my day!” 

The man chuckled. “My dear your panglossian outlook would be light even the most minacious squall.” 

That was a good thing right? She glanced between them, keeping the bright smile on her face. “Oh, well, thank you! The chicks are just this way.”
