Anyways, the babadibidip in Lakshmi's Pulse Remix (out on streaming now) always reminds me of Groove is in the Heart for some reason...

Lakshmi means a bunch to me... Lakshmi's Trial was a big big big hurdle for my anxiety for a long time, I somehow made it all the way up to her (this was when stormblood was current) when my brain decided Duty Finder is actually the scariest thing in the world and I cannot do this, waiting for the duty to pop was just too scary. It took months of spending all my in-game time on botanist and solo leveling samurai instead until I finally found the courage to continue the msq - but I did and Lakshmi always makes me think of that :)

I can't promise you that Paper Lakshmi will help you in a moment like that - but she will always wait for you until you're ready!

I enjoy that in ffxiv that Primals aren't really a threat anymore almost solely due to the Warrior of Light. Like there aren't any in Tural or were introduced in Dawntrail, (partially for lore reasons if I remember right, something about less aether than Eorzea) and they're kinda replaced by Vidraal.

Like yeah, it's died out since the Grand Company of Eorzea is working to improve relations with the Allied Tribes and the Ascians are mostly dead, but like, most people know by now that if you summon a Primal then the WoL's gonna hunt them down. Like they still do get summoned, and the Summoner corps of Ul'dah and people like Fordola and other Scions take care of some of the weaker ones, but it can't be on a grand scale otherwise it'd bring down the WoL on top of them an no one wants that.

We are literally the natural predator to them by now.

Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, Leviathan, Ramuh, Odin, Shiva, Belias (From the Summoner questline), Phoenix, Bahamut, GOOD KING MOGGLE MOG XII, Enkidu, Ravana, Bismarck, Knights of the Round, Alexander, The Warring Triad, Susano, Lakshmi, Shinryu, Tsukiyomi, The Eden Primals, Elidibus' Warrior of Light, The Lunar Primals, Queen Gunnhildr, Daivadipa, The Magus Sisters, Anima, Asura (From Hildebrand questline), Hydaelyn, and Zodiark.

That's like three dozen, and what's more is that most of them we canonically solo'd and slayed multiple times. Plus we can even summon them ourselves too, and even fuse them together like with Solar Bahamut.

We are the Maker's Ruin after all, making a World Without Gods.

NOTE: It’s not your typical sexy man/sexy woman tournament. I guess it’s more of “who do you think is the sexiest/who is the top sexy man/sexy woman/ which character do you like more and want to win”. It’s just meant to be a bunch of characters compiled for fun.

FFXIV writers unintentionally or intentionally introducing how someone returned from death by a Primal, in this case Lakshmi, would not return the same as they were. To make a nod at what would eventually come next for why Emet-Selch and the Ascian's goal of reviving the world as it was would be flawed from the beginning. They wouldn't even be the autopilot shades in the faux Amaurot on the First. It'd of been a city of immortal, unresponsive mannequins. In the fight with Fandaniel, we see Zodiark is able to make brief shades of beasts of Elpis. Behemoths and Snakes but they are fleeting and only have a singular function before evaporating. I imagine without the souls Zodiark's summoning consumed, it is possible that they'd never return to normal. And if they did, they'd return incorrect or wrong in some manner or another. Either way losing Elidibus as the Heart, Lahabrea as the Will, and Emet-Selch as the Memory. Its no wonder Fandaniel and the lesser seated Ascians abandoned ship immediately after Elidibus was gone.

well. the twitter knowledgeable among us come to the rescue!Thumper's dad's advice just doesn't go as far as it used to, does it? have a picture of Lakshmi to make us all feel better. Lakshmi will love us. she will love us no matter what; she's super generous and inclusive and without judgement and anybody that says otherwise obviously resolved that mechanic correctly.

what the heck happened on twitter a couple of days back? i tripped over a corner of ffxiv tumblr and into a small pile of people complaining about some change or something and last straws and dusting off their tumblrs (good luck! i hope it works out!)

any insight appreciated because i'm sure not scrolling for it myself.

Hey everyone! So we're changing up the streaming schedule for this week. Originally the plan was to stream Tuesday and Wednesday as usual and, since FFXIV servers would be down on Wednesday, we would play FFIX instead in the name of Dawntrail Hype.

But then during tonight's stream it became abundantly clear that what would end up happening would be that we would end up finishing Tuesday's stream with only one zone left in Stormblood, and that sucks as a way to end things before going on a 2 week break, especially in combination with us only playing the first three hours of FFIX on Wednesday.

So yeah we're not doing that. What we're going to do instead is stream on Monday and Tuesday instead of Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday will be Lakshmi up to Castrum Abania. Tuesday will be the rest of base Stormblood. As always, if you're interested in joining in on doing MSQ content at min ilv, keep an eye out for Shizune Dazkar on Aether's Party Finder! Streams start at 7:30 Central!
