I love it when two things I love but are way not related collide with each other. Case in point: I Art Deco (duh) and I love Industrial & Deathrock music; this is Lead into Gold's 12" single for Idiot/Blackened Heart, Hatred on legendary Wax Trax Records. This is (and still is Paul Barker's project). Paul is best known as the bass player for Ministry & Revolting Cocks back in their heyday. The Art Deco album art are from two Chicago Bridges. One bridge with the female subject, if sketchy sources are correct, is the Ogden Bridge, which was totaled in 1994 (this single came out in 1990). The Ashland Avenue bridge is still there but google maps doesn't show any artwork anywhere. The artist for both is Scipione del Campo, who did many other Chicagoland pieces in the same style.

uhhh....stream Lead Into Gold
So when I went to see Skinny Puppy, the opening act (which I knew NOTHING about) blew my tits clean off. Apparently it's the side project of a former Ministry bassist with ocassional collabs with friends, and??? They literally?? Made me legitimatelly cry??
Not that "Oh yay my fav band wooo!!!!" cry, because as I said, I literally knew jack about him, but just like. Deep Tissue Sound Massage. Deep relief beyond words....
I can't find a setlist, but after digging around and listening, I know he played "The Sea The Sun The Past The Sum" and "The Eternal Present." A lot of his new stuff (although he's been laying down these dreamy industrial tracks since the 80s.)
This is the one that kept rattling around my noggin after the concert, so I'm linking both the youtube and the spotify because I'm feeling like a real proselytizer, lol.

An experiment in letter writing, meant to evoke the distinctly sweet homoerotisicm of Victorian and Edwardian literature. Follow the correspondence of two professors, in the months before one of them makes a decision he'll never be able to take back.
A visual novel with a cute mechanic: Slide the letters back and forth across the screen, to experience the time the letter is written, and when it is read!
About 10,000 words in length,
Some ability to play in-browser,
Donate or play for free,
Two scientists, one of them arguably quite mad!
Get the game over here on itch.io!
