LPS Tickles: Removing Invulnerability
Summary: Scout removes Russell's invulnerability and tickles him.
Russell has never been ticklish, and many pets have tried and have all failed to get even a chuckle out of him. That was until Scout Kerry created a device to remove his invulnerability so that she and Minka, who was suspiciously observing her, could prove that everyone has a tickle spot.
Minka didn't want to do this to her friend, but Scout said that the pets could get revenge on him for all the times he's tickled them. Making him ticklish like the rest of them was going to be easy. Minka nervously approached Russell, with Scout following her closely.
"Um… R-Russell?" Minka said nervously, reluctant for whatever was going to happen.
"Yes, Minka? Wait…" Russell noticed Scout pointing a mysterious device at him. "What is she doing?"
After a blast of light, Russell and Minka had no idea if Scout's device worked. She set her device aside and approached Russell and held his wrists above his head with her tail.
"Now, to see if that worked," Scout said, positioning her fingers at his sides.
"I know what you're gonna do, but it's not going to work because I'm not ticklish," Russell said, trying to get himself free.
"We'll see about that," Scout said as she started tickling him. Russell, instead of being unfazed, tried holding in his giggling, as he was now vulnerable and therefore, ticklish.
"Not. Gonna. Laugh!" Russell said as he tried holding it in.
"Being stubborn, are we?" Scout said as she moved to his tummy, playing it like a piano. Russell let a few giggles out, proving that her device worked.
"D-d-dangihihit!" Russell said through his giggling.
"It worked!" Scout said cheerfully as she continued to tickle him. "Kitchy kitchy coo!"
"Hahaha! Stop it! That tickles!" Russell protested through his laughter as Scout further teased him.
"Tickle, tickle, tickle!" Scout said, tickling all over his tummy, looking for a sensitive place to tickle.
"Cut it out!" Russell continued to protest as the tickling was becoming unbearable. It was hard to refrain from bursting into laughter, but he managed to do it.
"Scout, maybe this isn't such a good idea. Remember what happened last time one of your devices was successful," Minka said, concerned about what was happening to her friend.
"Minks, he's laughing mildly, but I know a way to get him to really laugh," Scout replied as she got a feather and positioned it at Russell's stomach.
"You got me to laugh, but do you need to amp it up?" Russell said nervously. "According to my friends, feathers tickle more than anything!"
"Ooooh! Thanks for telling me," Scout said as she tickled every way possible on his tummy with the feather. That did it.
"Quit it! HAHAHA! KNOCK IT OFF! STAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIT! SCOUT, THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHISN'T FUHUHUHUNNY!" Russell was laughing hysterically as he was being mercilessly tickle-tortured by Scout.
"How about this?" Scout said as she tickled with a feather duster, causing more laughter.
"STAHAHAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIT! I'M SEHEHEHERIOUS! CUHUHUHUT IHIHIHIT OHOHOHOHOUT!" Russell continued to protest through uncontrollable laughter as his tummy was shown no mercy by the tickly feather duster.
"Oh, come on. I really wanted to get genuine laughter out of you, since I succeeded with Sunil and Vinnie," Scout said as she tickled more.
"JUHUHUHUHUST STAHAHAHAHAHAP TIHIHIHIHICKLING ME AHAHAHALREADY! THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHIS TOHOHOHORTURE!" Russell protested through his laughter as he squirmed on the floor.
"Coochie coochie coo! Coochie coochie coochie coo!" The tickle words Scout was using were driving Russell crazy.
"NOHOHOHO MOHOHOHORE! I CAHAHAHAHAN'T TAHAHAHAHAKE IHIHIHIT! STAHAHAHAHAHAP! THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHISN'T FUHUHUHUNNY! THAHAHAHAT TICKLES SOHOHOHOHO MUHUHUHUHUCH!" Russell continued to protest through his laughter, but he wasn't pleading for mercy like his friends.
"Not a pleader, huh? I can fix that. Tickle, tickle, tickle! Coochie coochie coo! Coochie coochie coo! Coochie coochie coo! Coochie coochie coo! " Scout was using the tickle words as she continued to tickle him. He started to lose it when Scout started blowing raspberries on his tummy.
"NOHOHOHO MOHOHOHORE TIHIHIHIHICKLING! PLEHEHEHEHEASE MAHAHAHAHAKE IHIHIHIT STAHAHAHAHAHAP! I DOHOHOHON'T LIHIHIHIHIHIKE THIHIHIHIHIS! HAHAHAHAVE MERCY!" Russell started pleading for mercy, which is what Scout was going for.
After twenty minutes of nonstop tickling, feeling like hours for Russell, Scout drew her assault ti a close, released him and gave back his Invulnerability.
"Y'know, I think I needed a good laugh," he said, hugging his midsection. "Just make sure you give me a heads up next time you want to hear it, okay?"
"I promise," Scout said. "I just wanted to prove that everyone has a tickle spot. Especially yourself, even if I have to remove your invulnerability to tickle you."
"At least now you know what it feels like to be tickled," said Minka. She was right, he did need to know what tickling felt like.

That's a wrap on 2024's Met Gala. What was the theme this year? Gardens of Time, in conjunction with the Costume Institute's exhibit "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."
My personal Met Gala Winners:
TIE: Designer Harris Reed of Nina Ricci and singer Tyla in Balmain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tyla has a leg up because her dress is made of sand molded to her figure coupled with an hourglass to represent the sands of time.
Tumblr media
Runner-Up: Demi Moore in Nina Ricci x Harris Reed
Tumblr media
As always Colman Domingo leads the fashion pack. He is wearing Willy Chavarria.
Tumblr media
Second is Barry Keoghan in Burberry. He's wearing an espresso coloured jacket ::wink::. With girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter in Oscar de la Renta.

This year's chairs - Anna Wintour (as always), Chris Hemsworth (disappointing), Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and the never disappointing Zendaya Coleman who wore two looks: Dior and Givenchy (with a Philip Treacy headdress).

Week 11 - Physical Photobook Research
This week, I continued my research of photo books by taking a look at Let's be Nikki / Russell Ferguson (August 15, 2001 by Hatje Cantz Publishers). A photo book that looks at the photography of Nikki S. Lee and her exploration of different subcultures and demographics.
This thematically had elements that related to my project, as she looked at multiple youth groups. I found the photos told a story of a place and each person's way they expressed themselves. It showed a person in their environment and how this relates to who they are as a person. I especially liked the candid shots that showed people just going about their lives. It feels natural and relatable and it's beautiful to make art out of the mundane.
For the design of the photo book itself, it was very minimal. The sizes of the photograph never touch the bottom or top of the page, and therefore, there is a lot of negative space. I feel this brings a lot of attention to the images, especially due to the colourful, vibrant details inside them. It helps balance them and gives the eye a rest. The captions were also very minimal but helped give context to the images, even in small doses. I want to play with the use of negative space in my final photo book itself, but I do want to have a lack of this pace for my more detailed images.

Minka is Ticklish!
Summary: Russell tickles Minka to get her to laugh.
Minka and Russell had the whole day to themselves since the other pets were with Blythe. Russell was groaning with boredom, distracting Minka from her artwork.
"Ugh! Russell, could you keep it down? Your groaning is messing up my masterpiece!" she shouted, irritated. Russell rolled his eyes and approached her.
"Oh, lighten up! It's not like you don't get bored, too," he said, teasingly smirking. Minka scoffed and went back to painting. Russell was bewildered. Usually  Minka wanted to help him with his boredom, but this time, she was focused on her artwork, so now he had  nothing to do.
Or do I? Russell thought to himself. He went over to Pepper's prop box and grabbed some ropes and hid them under his chair. Then he jumped on Minka, causing her to drop her paintbrush. Thankfully, her painting was left untouched.
"Russell! You're lucky my painting is safe!" Minka said angrily.
"Minka, I'm bored and I need you to help me overcome it," Russell said, wiggling his fingers in the air.
"Fine, what do you need me to do?" Minka sighed, irritably.
"Just go to that chair and close your eyes," Russell replied politely. Minka went over to the chair and, after some hesitation, closed her eyes. Russell grabbed the ropes and started tying her wrists and ankles to the chair.
"Um… Russell, what are you doing?" Minka asked as Russell was finishing tying her up.
"Okay, you can open your eyes now," Russell said, and with that Minka slowly opened her eyes. She saw that Russell had tied her to the chair with rope.
"Russell, mind telling me why I'm tied up?" she asked, finding that she couldn't move.
"I'm gonna entertain myself the only way I know how," Russell said, approaching Minka with a feather. He started to stroke it up and down her side, making her giggle.
"Cut it out! That tickles!" Minka said through her giggling. Russell saw this and tickled her tummy, making her burst out laughing.
"Coochie coochie coo!" he said as he tickled.
"RUHUHUHUSSELL! YOU'RE TICKLING ME! STAHAHAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIHIT!" Minka said through her laughter. Russell continued to tickle her tummy and enjoyed the sound of her laughter.
"Wow, Minka. Who knew you were so ticklish," he said, relishing in his friend's ticklishness. Minka continued to laugh as her tummy was shown no mercy.
"PLEHEHEHEHEASE STAHAHAHAHAHAP IHIT! THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHISN'T FUHUHUNNY! NOHOHOHO MOHOHOHORE!" Minka pleaded through her laughter. Russell withdrew the feather and used a feather duster on her tummy.
"Tickle, tickle, tickle!" Russell said as he tickled Minka with the feather duster.
"STAHAHAHAP! HAHAHA! I'M TOHOHOHO TICKLISH FOR THIHIHIHIHIS! CUHUHUHUT IHIHIHIT OHOHOHOUT!" Minka said through uncontrollable laughter.
Why didn't I think of this sooner? Russell thought to himself as Minka continued to laugh as he tickled her. He decided to go for her ribs, which were her worst spot. As he continued to tickle her tummy with the feather duster, he used his free hand to tickle her ribs.
"I know you're ticklish here," Russell said, continuing his assault. Minka was overwhelmed with hysterical laughter, even Russell had never heard her laugh so hard.
"PLEHEHEHEHEASE STAHAHAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIT! THAT TICKLES! THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHISN'T FUHUHUHUNNY!" Minka pleaded through her laughter as she was shown no mercy. Russell withdrew his hand from her ribs, but continued the assault on her ticklish tummy.
"Tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle!" Russell teased, focusing the most on Minka's delicate tummy.
"STAHAHAHAP! THIHIHIHIHIS IHIHIHIHIHIS TOHOHOHORTURE! PLEHEHEHEHEASE NOHOHOHO MOHOHOHOHORE!" Minka said through her laughter as her tummy was tickled.
After twenty minutes of nonstop tickling, feeling like hours for Minka, Russell stroked her tummy with the feather again and then let her go, allowing her to catch her breath.
"Y'know… I needed… a good laugh," said Minka between breaths, even though she had her arms wrapped around her midsection. The tickling might have been torturous, but at least Russell got her to laugh.

As you may recall, Matt Ferguson designed gorgeous new artwork for Studio Canal’s 4K re-releases of four classic John Carpenter films - The Fog, Escape from New York, Prince of Darkness, and They Live - last year.
30x40 quad posters of Ferguson’s art are available now through January 17 for $60 each (or $190 for the set of four) in the US from Grey Matter Art and £50 each (or £150 for the set) in the UK from Vice Press. The timed editions are signed and numbered by the artist.
Ferguson issued the following statement:
Last year I had the distinct pleasure of being hired by StudioCanal to work on the 4K John Carpenter classics. I conceptualized and made all of the key art for the films. It was a dream job for me and I am really happy the art came out pretty much exactly as I intended. My ideal versions of the art are the UK quad size, it's the way the art was intended to be viewed and also my personal favorite dimensions for movie posters, so I am really happy that we are getting to make these available to people.

* Sometimes it’s not possible to tell which of the sisters are on screen in any given shot, so I’m just making one calculation for when any of them are on screen. I don’t like it, but it’s the best accurate option I have. ** Includes the Sasaki characters from the anime. Yui is just Moira with a different name, and Takeo is somewhat David but more Kevin, so I’m counting him towards Kevin. *** Includes their appearances as illusions in Emma’s mind in Astonishing X-Men.

11/29 (Additional) Book Deals
Good morning, everyone! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! :)
Apologies for not posting more last week, I was trying to take some time off of the internet and decompress a bit before diving into what is sure to be a rather stressful month. Last week also marked the 15 year anniversary of my dad’s death, so that’s always a weird time for me, as well. I’d love to hear how you all are doing! How’s life? Can you believe it’s already almost December?? How’s your weather?? We’re still getting warm weather here off and on, go figure.
In regard to the books (which is why we’re all here), there are a ton on sale, so seems like an awesome time to stock up on both new and backlist releases for really great prices if you need to get some more books to read! Also, I will link to and repost my deals post from last week because I’m pretty sure those are also still on sale, so lots of options. :) The Book of Koli is one I always recommend, and I’ve really enjoyed books by H.G. Parry! Also, I haven’t read them, but the entire Cursebreaker series (A Curse so Dark and Lonely, etc.) is on sale as a bundle, so if you’ve been wanting to read that it seems like a really good deal! There are just basically a lot of awesome books available to choose from, including some super new releases, as well as some really popular backlist titles (like The Fifth Season!), so definitely have a look. :)
Anyway, I hope you all have a truly wonderful day, and happy reading to all!
