During the Joseon dynasty of Korea, there were professional historians called Sagwan (사관 史官) who seated themselves in a corner of the court all the time and recorded everything Kings did and said on a daily basis.

Therefore, those historians were regarded as a stalker by the kings and understandably many kings hated the historians so much for invading their privacy. (LOL)

The historians’ first draft of records were called Sacho (사초 史草), and even kings were not allowed to read them in order to protect the Sacho’s political impartiality. The Sacho records were compiled as annals only after a king passed away. In such a way, the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty (조선왕조실록 朝鮮王朝實錄) comprise 1,893 volumes covering 25 kings from 1392 to 1910.

Goo Hae-Ryung 구해령 (played by Shin Se-Kyung 신세경) is a female historian being pointed at as a freak, because she tries to fight gender stereotypes as her work is often looked down on.

Yi Lim 이림 a.k.a. Grand prince Dowon 도원대군 (played by Cha Eun-Woo 차은우) is the second in line to the throne. Even though he's never been out of the palace, and also has never been in a romantic relationship, he captivates the public with great ability of writing romance novels. His love with Gu Hae-ryung, the honest historian and legal stalker, makes him realize the heart-throbbing emotion as well as the true world outside the palace.

Crown Prince Yi Jin 이진 (played by Park Ki-Woong 박기웅) cares so much about his younger brother Yi Lim. He will be depicted as an ideal monarch of Joseon dynasty who fights against greedy nobles for the starving and sick people.

In addition, Min Woo-Won 민우원 (played by Yi Ji-Hoon 이지훈) is Goo Hae-Ryung's senior who happens to be the son of this drama’s villain, the first vice-premier Min Ik-Pyung.

Song Sa-Hee 송사희 (played by Park Ji-Hyun 박지현) is her colleague historian with firely ambition.

This drama is supposed to take place at the beginning of the 19th century, but I think it is entirely fictional because the royal names of the princes are not the same as the actual historical names. An alternate history, maybe?

According to news articles, it is the story of planting a valuable seed of social change, confronting the old belief about discrimination between men and women as well as between nobles and commoners. OK, It has a good intention in tune with the times of #Metoo and feminism, but the problem is... is it entertaining?

Currently, many Sageuk drama with good and ambitious intention have flopped in TV ratings because of the lack of entertainment value. (I’m watching you, Haechi, Nokdu flower and Different dreams) I hope this drama is not only righteous but also funny and entertaining.

從未有結婚打算，《與神同行》李政宰愛情生活變低調是為了她還是她？

第一次看李政宰，是在電影《下女》中。戲中他飾演一個高高在上的有錢人，為了滿足私慾，不理太太懷孕依然向女僕伸手，發展不倫關係，最終造成慘劇。還記得戲中的李政宰，不論是表情還是舉手投足，都散發出不可一世的財閥氣焰，不但讓人難以親近，甚至讓觀眾看得反感。現實中，他的愛情路上同樣出現了 2 個重要的女人，但受改變的卻是他自己。

當憨厚內斂遇上調皮開朗

2000 年拍攝《純愛譜》，讓李政宰認識了女演員金敏喜，2 年後男方宣布跟交往了 8 年的女友分手，其後就跟女方在一起了。先撇除金敏喜是否以第三者姿態闖入這段關係，可以知道的是金敏喜為李政宰帶來了從來沒有過的快樂。

當時，李政宰和金敏喜二人愛得高調，從兩人所拍下的照片可見，李政宰對女方的眼中盡是疼愛；而個性調皮的金敏喜，亦似乎為李政宰帶來許多快樂，令原本個性憨厚的男方，臉上都能展露出甜絲絲的笑容。

緣分盡了又來了

14. If you can live anywhere in the world where would it be ? Why?

I’ve moved to Paris this year and sadly I haven’t been able to really know what it’s like to live here as with covid restrictrions, everything is closed and with my studies I had to much work to do anything anyway in the first months and now everything is still closed so first I’d like to discover this city life and everything it has to offer a little more! I’ll probably stay here for a while in the future since most of the french fashion world is here. Other than that I loved living in Rome so I wouldn’t mind going back there (the food is just so good and despite being full of tourists and quite dirty - especially since i was there in summer- it’s just so “charming”, it’s unlike any other place i’ve been to). But for a place I haven’t lived in yet, I’d like to try either the north of italy (because pretty, nice food and also great fashion stuffs) or scotland (although i’m not too sure about the weather lol). I’ve also been trying to learn korean and I have a korean friend so i’d really like to spend some time there (both for the language and because they have such a different fashion tradition/industry that i think it’d be really interesting to work in/discover!)

After watching run on after rookie historian goo hae ryung, i’ve really loved shin se kyung recently but I don’t really have a fave actress or someone who’s career i really follow (but a few years ago i used to be reallyyyyy into dianna agron)

Now that’s just impossible to answer but it’s howl’s moving castle (or a period drama like pride and prejudice or far from the madding crowd. Or some classic french comedies with Louis de Funés like “La Folie des grandeurs” or “Hibernatus” or...)

Plot:

The woman gives birth to a baby girl named Ji Eun-Tak (later played by Kim Go-Eun). 9 years later, Ji Eun-Tak lives with her mother and is able to see ghosts. One night, her mother suddenly dies. On that night, she meets the Grim Reaper.

In the present day, Ji Eun-Tak is a high school student. She still sees ghosts and hears their whisper of “Dokkaebi’s bride.” She now lives with her aunt’s family, but she is mistreated by them. On her birthday, Ji Eun-Tak sits by the sea with a lighted birthday cake. At that time, Kim Shin suddenly appears in front of her. Kim Shin does not know why, but he can hear her voice and appears in front of her against his will. Coincidentally, Kim Shin lives with the Grim Reaper at the same house.

- One of must watch k-drama, this will make you cry at the same time have a romantic feeling and excitement.

- In terms of visuality, I’ve ranked Goblin second because it was really good. In terms of computer graphic effects, even the camera position and lightnings to evoke emotions to the audience were great.

Trivia:

One of the most remarkable scenes to me even to the audience in the Korean drama Goblin is the sword that was stubbed into Kim Shin(Gong Yoo)’s chest, but did you know how that it was made? According to what I have searched online, “the show’s crew said in Saturday’s episode.

To create the illusion of being impaled, Gong was required to wear a suit, crafted by the art team and pasted with pieces of the sword. Computer graphic effects were added later to shroud the sword in green smoke.” – Rumy Doo , https://www.thejakartapost.com

# 3 Legend of the Blue Sea

Plot:

Sometime during August, 1598, newly appointed governor Dam Ryung (Lee Min-Ho) stays for a night at an inn run by Mr. Yang (Sung Dong-Il). During that evening, Mr. Yang shows Dam Ryung a captured mermaid named Sim Chung (Gianna Jun). Later that night, Dam Ryung releases her into the ocean and, before she swims away, Sim Chung reaches out her hand to Dam Ryung which he briefly holds.

In the present day, Joon-Jae (Lee Min-Ho) is a smooth talking conman with magician like abilities. He works with Nam-Doo (Lee Hee-Joon) and Tae-O (Shin Won-Ho). For their next score, Joon-Jae impersonates a prosecutor and swindles a large amount of money from a wealthy suspect's mother. Joon-Jae then travels abroad and stays at an oceanside resort. Meanwhile, Sim Chung is swept up in a tidal wave and washed ashore near the oceanside resort. She sees Joon-Jae.

- If you love mermaids like me then this drama will be the best to watch.

- I admire Jun Ji Hyun when she acted as Se Hwa and her eyes were full of emotions and when it came to Sim Chung I liked it to because she made me laugh when she had no clue about the outside world since she was a mermaid.

- It was true that this drama has a top-caliber production elements, because when you watch some of the behind the scenes of legend of the blue sea in YouTube you can see there that it’s not easy for the whole team in order to produce this Korean drama.

- If you are a fan of Nam Joo Hyuk then you should watch this.

- In terms of visuality I really like the CGI effects in this drama the fact on how they make effects on the water thing it was so awesome and it seems realistic for me, I love it.

- If you watch this k-drama there are so many stunning visual scenery one of them is the Realm of the Gods in water country…. This scene was so remarkable and so lovely.

# 5 Mama Fairy and Woodcutter

Plot:

In the Goryeo period, Sun Ok-Nam was a fairy. She came down to this world and took a bath at a waterfall on Gyeryong Mountain. While she took the bath, a woodcutter took her fairy clothes and hid them. Because of this, Sun Ok-Nam could not go back to Heaven. She then married the woodcutter and they had two children together, but her husband died from falling off of a cliff. Sun Ok-Nam tried to find her fairy clothes, but she still could not locate it. Needing her fairy clothes, she decides to wait for husband to be reincarnated. Now in the present day, she makes coffee at a cafe on Gyeryong Mountain and waits for her reincarnated husband. Finally, after 699 years, she gets a feeling that one of the two men visiting her cafe from Seoul is her reincarnated husband. Sun Ok-Nam is not sure which one of the two men is her husband. - This story is really nice to watch because it is full of mystery and plot twist about the fairy and his reincarnated husband. But she is not sure which one of the two men is her husband. So she decided to follow them to Seoul to find out.

- It was also fun to watch because there were a lot of CGI effects used in this drama, and I think it was nice in some part but there are some parts also of the drama that are not really good for me, but all in all I like how the drama was created.

- Oh! What am I curious about in this drama is why do they decide to put ______hahaha !! guess what??? like that inside the egg.??? If you want to know what was it, and know more about this drama just watch this k-drama.

let’s say that my current favourites are; the princess’ man, and jealousy incarnate!

2: least favourite kdrama

least favourite… hwarang, strong woman do bong soon, and drinking solo. i just dislike these. but if we’re talking one i like but wouldn’t have at the top of my list… then moon lovers.

3: first kdrama i watched:

it was boys over flowers!!! wow!!! the memories… the tears… so iconic… i couldn’t watch lee min ho in anything for a long time because go jyun pyo broke my heart!!!

4: last kdrama i watched:

i’m currently watching school 2017 (!!!!!!!!!!!! kim tae woon i loveth you) and also watching an oldie drama called the woman who still wants to marry. it’s based around female friendship and i’m at ep 11 and still going!

ha! i honestly am such a sucker for the main leads doing sweet things like looking after the female lead when she’s hurt- even if it’s buying her medicine, looking after her when she’s drunk. just thoughtful things in general. and i like it when the female lead does the same for the male lead. like just doing lovely things for the other :(

i am also a whore for long hidden glances and petty silly jealousy or crushing babbling nonsense (not like scary jealousy tho) and honestly who doesn’t love a good hearts racing, cheeks blushing cliche moment?

when drama’s do parodies of other famous drama’s idhfud they just take the mick it’s so funny

food, everywhere, yummy ramen, yummy spicy rice cakes… yummy… yumness…

oh and a good crying scene… shed those dramatic tears my boy!!!!

boys over flowers!!!! watching secret garden makes me sightly sick now oahiduhfa the main lead :////// plus bof has lee min ho and his perm and i live for that look

15: weightlifting fairy kim bok joo or cheese in the trap?

now what cruel person… i want to say cheese in the trap just because i love baek in ho so much and it was such a thrill at the start… but i’ll have to go with weightlifting fairy… there’s more pro’s in this drama… like the fact i actually finished it when it was airing…

16: jealousy incarnate or oh my ghostess?

definitely jealousy incarnate, lee jong suk is really brilliant as lee hwa shin and even though i have to admit that i didn’t watch the side stories, and mostly only the stories of lee hwa shin and pyo nari… it’s still better than oh my ghostess in my opinion. the latter show made me uncomfortable- mostly due to the fact the main lead was falling in love with a mix of two people. it just made me a bit itchy :(( and sad :(( because then the romance is a bit of a mess

17: descendants of the sun or w: two world?

hmm.. i actually did start descendants but dihfiadhf for the life of me could not get past the first two episode, maybe it was the dramatic love song at the end of their first meeting that had me both scratching my head and stifling laughter. but i’ve heard good things about w, and did want to pick it up until i heard the ending went a bit lopsided, so to save myself disappointment, i did not watch it.

18: moonlight drawn by clouds or legend of the blue sea?

okay so this is tricky… mdbc is critically… probably a better drama but despite it’s flaws i really have to say legend of the blue sea. i watched it the whole way through, and i really love the soundtrack (which im actually listening to as i answer these) and the main characters, and it made me laugh a lot even if i did cry a little over the greatness it could’ve been :((

19: strong woman do bong soon or shopping king louie?

okay so this is an interesting question… probably the friendship between park do kyung and all his male friends from oh hae young again… their loyalty was heart warming, but grimsie and kim shin from goblin were cute friends too.

i have a few!

oh hye won and her friend ji soo from secret love affair. i really loved their friendship, how ji soo was a pillar of support for hye won, she was a real friend.

i really truly love the friendship between the three main female leads in the woman who still wants to marry- it’s so warm.

oh hae young and her friend in oh hae young again are also very sweet, i’m really glad hae young had a friend she could talk to.

oh and the friendships between shim cheong and all her cute oddball friends in legend of the blue sea :’((( that was pure stuff right there

and let’s not forget the kids and family on the block in reply 1988, its honestly so lovely :’((

i feel like there’s almost always a sidekick friend in kdrama’s but never are they good friendships that make me feel things :( sometimes the friend is just a prop

29: favourite actor/actress duo? (one male, one female)

oooh… this is hard… if this was bollywood it would be easier because i would’ve just said kajol and sharukh khan… but here… lemme think… now that i think about it… i really liked gong hyo jin with so ji sub in the master’s sun. i also really liked park hyun sik and lim ji yeon together in high society. but otherwise… my brain is frazzled!!

how could i forget minah and namgung min in beautiful gong shim :((( they had such great chemistry

but lets be real jo jung suk and gong hyo jin in jealousy incarnate were hilarious.

32: do you watch drama’s with 30 plus episodes?

oh boy oh boy… i think i did watch one? but skipped a load of it to watch one couple… i mean i’ve thought about it? especially with father is strange… but it’s a pretty rare case. i know i’ve started some but couldn’t get through them all :(

42: favourite kdrama kiss scene

ihfr’iue ye’qewu the kisses in coffee prince… are truly something… 10/10

54: recommend 3 fluffy AF dramas

efrhiptfuohf’rgh let us see… this is hard because kdrama’s don’t like being complete fluff… but the woman who wants to marry is a wild bit of fun :((

my girlfriend is a gumiho is a really nice watch, wouldn’t call it 100% fluff because… i cried a little

oh and splash splash love is short and sweet without being too silly :’)

and i guess my only love song is a load fluff, you can enjoy its strange antics and not take it too seriously!

Kisum got more widely know after appearing as a contestant in Show Me The Money 3. She got attention for her looks for her resemble to Sulli.

Prior to this Kisum was known for appearing on the "Blue Flag, White Flag" game on G-Bus TV. Around the same time she was performing as a duo with Se-A.

In 2015 Kisum was part of female rap survival show Unpretty Raptor’s first season. She won for herself the 5th track that the girls were competing for. In the end Kisum made it as a semi-finalist of the contest.

Kisum has also reveled that she almost debuted in a girl group after training for five years.

Besides being rapper Kisum promotes as actress. She officially started promoting as actress in 2016, but had appeared in a supporting role already in 2015 in “Webtoon Hero - Tundra Show”. 2016 she had another supporting role (Park Na Rae) in web drama called “My Runaway”.

Random trivia:

Block B’s Park Kyung said in Radio star that Kisum is his type and that he thought that Kisum was interested in him. He explained that the reason was that Kisum called him "oppa” right away. Kisum answered by asking what was she supposed to call him then.

During Unpretty Rapstar Kisum formed a special relationship with another rapper Cheetah right from the start. Kisum called Cheetah her mom and Cheetah called Kisum her baby.

Also during Unpretty Rapstar Kisum became close friends with AOA’s Jimin, their goofy personalities matched well.

At first Kisum was afraid her fellow Unpretty Rapstar contestant Jessi. Before their 1:1 match Kisum taped Jessi’s pictures around her home. This helped her overcome her fear and she said that she wasn’t afraid at all when they were on stage. She also said that she doodled on the pictures.

Kisum took part in Match made in Heaven returns. When they were forming pairs every male in the episode wanted to pair up with Kisum. Kisum chose to pair up with Eric Nam and even in the end they successfully formed a couple.

Kisum has said she has girl crush on Mamamoo, to which Hwasa answered that she has girl crush on Kisum.
