Joong can sing and his best friends are amazing singers too so like how’s he gonna react if you aren’t as good

When you get there he’s really excited and stuff and he lets you pick the first song

And you just pick one that you both know

But you pick more of a rap-style song so that you can just scream it without him judging too much lol

Even that ends up making you nervous though bc... Joong is a professional rapper

But you actually end up really enjoying yourself bc he’s being just as wild as you are

At the end of the date you don’t really understand why you had been nervous in the first place bc karaoke really is all fun and games

Plus Joongie would never dream of making you uncomfortable even if he was low-key like “I’m dating the world’s most tone-deaf person”

especially if it’s just you guys and he doesn’t feel pressured to be mature in front of his bandmates

Let’s face it, if Ateez could turn into a girl group.... he’d do it in a heartbeat

The reason he would choose these songs is because he’s obsessed with girl group choreographies

So you wouldn’t even have time to focus on singing with him bc he’d be like

and you’re just watching him and laughing hysterically

until he tries to get you to dance with him and it’s like... dear god no

But it actually is super cute and soft bc he’s gentle and like guides your movements and stuff

So overall, I think for Seonghwa, karaoke isn’t even about the singing

Yunho is already insane though

So when you get to karaoke he’s already picking super difficult songs

like difficult even for him

So your nerves will melt away in seconds

Because he’ll start off with some crazy vocalists and then end up screaming for the notes he cant hit

And when it’s your turn, if he doesn't hear you being as crazy as he is he’s gonna be bitter

like “I just put my entire lungs into that song and you can’t even yell a little bit?”

Will definitely make you do a duet

And it’s a super romantic song right... not anymore

Even if it’s notes he has no problem hitting, he’s gonna do some terrible singing just for you baby ;)

He’s really intuitive about your feelings so when he told you he wanted to take you to karaoke he knew you were nervous about it pretty much immediately

wants to have fun with you though so he’s constantly assuring you that it’s not a big deal

says super cheesy stuff like “even if you’re the worst singer in the world and make me lose hearing in my right ear, I’ll still love you so much bb”

Him saying that actually helps though bc nothing you do could ever be as embarrassing as that lmao

Even if you are a bad singer, he’s gonna hype you the whole time

4. Do you write original stories as well?

I do, actually. I plan to publish my own YA fantasy novel one day and I can't wait for the world to fall in love with my characters and hate some of them to the core. Problem is, it's obviously hard as fuck and the courage you need to have, the strength you need to put into such projects is something still unknown to my person and I don't think I'm ready to really start on my original book.

5. What fanfic of yours should everyone have read?

I'm kinda biased for this, don't you think? Mh, probably Joye (the last hours short story). I really worked hard for that tiny tiny story and it didn't get the hype I thought it would:(

6. What is a fandom you will never write for?

Probably Harry Potter. I'm a huge fan, the main story (the books) have so much meaning for so many people it's unbelievable and I don't think I'm even the slightest bit of good to add something to that world yk. It's hard to explain but I just believe it's better off without me trying to rewrite the story in any way.

The ff I'm obviously more attached to rn is a Noisy Neighbor by @noodlecatposts (I legit wrote an elogy for that fic and Jess deserves an award for how well written it is). Then literally anything by @nomattertheoceans cause she was the first ff author I got to know when I restarted reading ff last year and her Feysand stuff always cheered me up and she also deserves the world for all the effort she puts into her works. And lastly (just cause I don't wanna list them all) is a very nice person on Ao3 that I love with all my heart and soul and who wrote what I think it's the best thing ever on that app. I'm talking about the mighty @pitterpatterpot who had the most astonishing idea with A Lion's Pride. Honestly, if you consider yourself an Aedion stan and you haven't read that fic yet, you're not. It's just art in its purest form.

Another one of these! This time, I was tagged TWICE by the wonderful @sassypandacandy (go read her books,, i love them). I’ve gotta answer the questions, come up with my OWN questions, and then tag 11 people to answer, only I’m not going to tag eleven people because I still don’t think I quite KNOW eleven people yet. Also, because I got tagged twice with two different sets of questions, I’m going to answer both sets in one post, and then just come up with eleven questions of my own, because it takes me yonks to come up with questions and I’m lazy. Eso si que es, y’know?

What’s the first thing you remember writing?

A four-page story about a Diplodocus when I was… definitely before I was ten years old. Maybe like five or six. I was very proud of it.

What’s the last thing you wrote purely for yourself?

Actually, I pretty much always write for myself, so the last thing that I wrote/started to write… ooh-er. That’d be the Warrior Cats fanfiction I’ve been working on. :P

Are you a WIP playlist person or a WIP aesthetics person?

Playlist, probably. I tend not to make playlists specifically for WIPs – instead, I’ll assign songs and soundtracks to specific characters and scenes – but I’m still better at throwing together playlists then making aesthetics LMAO

What’s a book you wish you’d written?

Uuuuh… maybe it’s just because I’m young (barely an adult), but I don’t have anything where it’s like “ah I wish I’d used that idea” or “wish I’d written this book”. I still have a lot of writing ahead of me, hopefully, so all my ideas I hope to actually get out some day. (Assuming that’s,,, what the question is asking me)

What’s your favourite book adaptation?

Ironic because it doesn’t follow the books that closely, but I love the How To Train Your Dragon films very much.

Which of your characters would you like to have a conversation with? What would you like to talk about?

The downside to Pandemonium’s Bane being filled with eccentric personalities and cooky characters means that there’s actually few of them I’d LIKE to have a conversation with, because most would be too dickish or too annoying for my tastes xDD That being said, I think me and Plue are on very similar wavelengths, and we have a lot in common (such as both of us wanting to write), so I wouldn’t mind chatting with her for a bit if I had to.

Which of your WIP worlds would you most like to live in?

The Power of Ages stories are mostly set in one universe (the Nimbus System) so I guess I’d have to go with that one by default. There’s Neil’s dimension, I guess, but it’s destroyed, so…

Have you ever written anything inspired purely by a song? If so, what song was it?

I haven’t written anything inspired just by a single song, but I HAVE got certain scenes or character backstories based off of songs, or even the concepts they’re based around. I have a whole battle between brothers planned out to the soundtrack that plays when Shifu fights Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda, and listening to the Iron Man soundtracks helped me with both the conception of a new character and her placement in my roster (and yes, she does invent things and fly around, although there are also some major differences)

Have you ever written poetry? Do you still? Why or why not?

I… haven’t written poetry. And the reason for that is… I mean, I guess it doesn’t really jibe with me? Granted I haven’t considered it heavily, but it was always my least favourite aspect of learning English at school, and I just never fell in love with it the same way I fell in love with writing conventional narratives.

Who would direct an adaptation of your writing?

I ain’t big on directors, so IDEK. I guess in terms of the rewrite of Maelstrom (my current main WIP) I’d pick Sam Raimi, who proved with his Spider-Man films that he can blend fun superhero narratives with slightly darker elements pretty well.

How do you motivate yourself when you don’t feel like writing?

Mainly by having multiple projects to work on! That way, if I ain’t feeling what I’m working on, I can switch over to another one, and bingo bango, I can keep writing. (Hypothetically. Sometimes it ain’t that simple, obviously.) I also use music, and I also take advantage of being in situations where it’s like, I’d rather write then do the alternative. Do you know how much writing I got done in lessons? So much. :P

What scenes are the worst to write?

The ones that I haven’t planned out – sometimes I have very specific ideas for how I want scenes to happen, and I’m excited to get to them, but other times they’re just obligatory because there’s certain information I have to convey. That makes it a challenge to write it in a compelling way, because why should the reader care if I don’t?

What can you say is a thing you love most about your writing?

I’d say I like the dialogue/character interplay/narrative description-y sort of stuff. I think I’m good at giving everything levity, and keeping it breezy and entertaining even if I myself find the writing process to be a bit of a slog. Plus, it’s funny to read back over, and it’s also funny to watch my discord quote a line and then keysmash at it. :P

What is writing advice that you take to heart?

It’s from Aaron Sorkin’s writing masterclass – the idea that a story is defined by the main character’s INTENTION, the OBSTACLE facing them, and the TACTICS they use to overcome it.

How do you keep yourself from quitting writing together?

Honestly, it’s not like I have to try that hard! By this point I’m desperate to tell these stories that I have in mind, so I have a sort of innate compulsion to write because I wanna get it all out there. I’ll get back to you if that compulsion runs out, but for now, I see myself writing long into the future.

What is the strangest thing you’ve searched up on the internet for writing purposes?

Probably the capabilities of medieval-era people to recognise nuclear technology. (And for the record, the answer is “pretty low”.)

Your OCs are trapped on a deserted island, what would they be doing?

I WANNA say they’d try and work as a team, but, uh. It may not go so well. Dante and Plue would probably be the most practical. Gaia would be good at grunt work but not focus on the task at hand, Rose would be functionally useless but good at moral support, Jacen would try to organise things but Gaia would just push him in the sea for jokes… I reckon they’d escape eventually, I suppose, but it wouldn’t exactly be a clean-cut affair, you know? xD

What is your biggest inspiration for your WIPs?

I actually have various inspirations – I think collectively my biggest inspiration is the MCU, in that it’s a bunch of interconnected stories set in the same universe about different characters and also there are superpowers. xDD

A habit you have when it comes to writing?

Not doing it (thank you writer’s block)

A fact about your world and/or characters?

I have debated killing of MANY of my characters, but have only actually come to concrete decisions one way or the other with a few.

hmmm idk what to tell you about making them too light or too dark, because that’s a very specific thing that really depends on the picture. BUT i know that the dodge tool is my bff for brightening up dark pictures while still retaining some of the darker elements you want in them (aversely, the burn tool will help darken parts), messing with the exposure can also really help, coloring can also help too, selective color is my bff especially with blue shadows and orangey skin...this is kind of a broad answer, i’m sorry, but if you needed help with something specific, let me know!

I remember you answered an ask and said you drew tears when you edit right? Is there a reason you don't use CC tears?

i answered this like two weeks ago but i can’t find it so whateveR i’ve used cc tears a few times but there’s only like three of those in existence and my characters have cried a LOT. i feel like it would be kinda weird if they had the same tears every time. also there are just some variations that i like to customize myself by drawing, like sometimes they’ll be full on sobbing, sometimes just one single tear...it just depends on the situation, that’s why i draw ‘em.

Would you recommend buying a macbook for playing sims?

if a macbook is what you already have, then yeah, i’d say it suffices without many problems. if you’re specifically going out and buying a computer with the knowledge that you’ll be playing sims on it, then mmmmmm i’d probably say no...but it also depends on if you’re like gonna get REALLY into storytelling and cc n shit or if it’s just casual gameplay with a mods folder that’s like 5 gb or less...if it’s the latter i think it should also be fine. but yeah it just depends on what kind of gaming you’re planning on doing.

hi hello so maybe I am just a blind bean but may I ask how in god's name do you get your images to be so crisp? I have everything set up, but it seems as if when I do my thing in Photoshop, everything turns out lookin like a blobfish. OMG well it’s mostly just resizing, smart sharpening, and most importantly topaz clean (see above) that makes them so crisp. i also use the sharpen tool on sims’ faces, and the smudge tool when something is particularly pixelated or whatever. everything i do is listed in here! UR NOT A WUSS *hugs you in spanish*

I know i'm good and giving characters depth and backgrounds and coming up with a rough story idea. but i rush things and i'm not great at putting it into a good story so ya. OMG ;_________; it sounds like you are a good writer already, and it’s awesome that you recognize your strengths while also acknowledging that you need to work on some things as well. i try to do the same and i think that’s what keeps me level headed. it sounds like you just need to dedicate some time to planning, that way you start to realize all the nuances of your story that come together to flesh out that initial rough idea. you seem to have a positive attitude, so that’s great!! you’re already getting better and better, i know it <3

Am I the only one who's like... really mad about pets being NPCs? I just feel like being able to control them was the best part. I don't really feel like the EP is worth it without them. Like, don't get me wrong, I understand that the team worked really hard on it, but I feel like they didn't do it as well as they could have.

hmm i’m kind of meh on that front because like on one hand i did like controlling pets and the novelty of the fact that you could just see their different interactions firsthand, but ultimately i think i’m okay with not controlling them because it makes it more realistic for me and honestly they’re probably more likely to take care of themselves a little bit more if they’re automated, because i’m just thinking about ts3 pets and how i literally had to make them go pee outside otherwise they’d pee in the house...even if they were well trained and stuff lmao. plus there might be a cheat or mod that lets you control them, like there was in ts2? so don’t lose hope yet.

Ok I gotta rant. GoT does NOT deserve the hype/amazing ratings. Like, sure the cinematography is pretty great and they have ok actors but the freaking script is so mediocre I actually think I could write a better one. Me. A 16 y/o tiny child. There are so much better shows out there! Hell, even Supernatural has a better script than GoT

whenever ppl agree with me about how much GoT sucks i grow stronger and stronger even the actors are iffy at this point. watching daenerys act is painful, jon snow is wooden as hell, it’s just bad. ur 16 yr old self has more potential than these writers tbh. it’s just completely mediocre; it started out as something great because it followed the same layered storytelling pattern as the books, but it’s diverged from that completely because the writers got too caught up in the hype. and you’re right, it doesn’t deserve that hype! omfdkjsgkj i’ve never watched supernatural but i haven’t heard good things. that’s a low bar

like honestly i dont wanna sound like the worlds grumpiest old man but just.... i keep seeing all these posts about “if someone shows you a video/sends you a song/starts talking about something theyre in to you Really Should Watch/Listen/Hear them out” and absolutely, like real if you get a song sent for example its not to force it on to you or nothing its just a kind gesture and a “hey this is good maybe you’ll like it too if you wanna listen” kinda thing which is like??? totally fine and what pals do lmao  but also personally i feel there is a line where a certain thing just do not interest you and maybe you dont want to listen to that certain song sent or whatever and its not a personal attack or diss against the one sending you the content/wanting to talk to about a certain subject but i feel it often gets taken in that sort of way??  which oki fair enough if youre very in to something and open up and share its a bit personal on some level, but honestly if you say share your fav 20 min long youtube clip maybe the one you sent it too wont find it as funny or just do not have the energy or are in a state to actually sit through it.. you cant force something upon someone which is like.. my entire point lkdagn sometimes you might simply just not have the energy to get involved in a discussion or dive in to stuff youre not super hype about, and there are a lot of those times you politely tell the person that “thats nice tho its not really my thing and i cant really contribute to this discussion” and call it an end there but STILL get bombarded with content that you simply do not have the energy or want to go through at the moment or maybe ever becuse its?? simply just nor cup of tea??? we all have our own fav clips or fav songs or fav whatever like thats just how it is  like friends doesnt have to be in to the same fandoms or the same music or shows or books, but theres like a line you can cross and make them uncomfortable with you gushing about something they have absolutely no idea how to respond too, i probably have done it a billion times and i bet you have too it happens if youre very passionate about something sometimes its hard to stop talking about it (believe me i know)  but like... what at least personally makes me super uncomfortable are people sending stuff and literally sit around and WAIT for me to watch/read/look at it when ive told them “aw well might not be my thing/not really up for it” because it just puts pressure on you to engage in something and Rate And Comment on stuff you literally do not have the energy or want to be involved in  again listen im not saying getting a song sent with a “this is real good :^)” message is like The ENd Of The World thats how you find new good stuff and maybe something you really enjoy and pals who apparently also enjoy it you feel, thats normal human fucking interaction sending each other The Good Content what im saying is (and again i cant speak for anyone else it just rubbed me a little bit in the wrong way reading like five of these kinda posts in a row) if someone isnt interested in the same things you are its not a personal insult or attack on your taste or likes. its the furthest from, and you cant expect everyone to like everything you do because thats just not how it works not even between pals tbh so you cant sit around and literally WAIT for this person to return with a ~review~ of something that they clearly werent very in to to begin with because that is, to be honest, the most stressful shit ever and personally it makes me so so uneasy (and especially when it comes to like.. personal work?? like writing or art or whatever because then its like youre asking me to review something Super Personal and what am i to say if its not up my alley you feel??? if i havent asked to get updated or like “please show me when its done” of course) and the content doesnt have to be bad not in the least but some things just dont interests you and thats how it is if i send someone a vip or whatever of art i never sit around and expect Praise or a Review on it, and like sure i get the want to share stuff youve done with others like of course!!! and you should advertise for yourself and show off your works (most people here have it as their fucking income source so like of course)  but idk this turned out longer than i intended it to and its just ramble at this point but OKI  summan av kardemumman: dont force stuff on to others, i get that a compliment is nice to get and i get that its nice showing off something youve made or something you like or just the want to share a youtube vid now and then but like...
