Let me explain the lil things here.

The golden variants are Crest, they represent your original Hometown however the winged one is a special one, it is basically a status of the gods chosen one's and themselves so having that crest is a pretty big deal.

The silver variants are badges for your second or third location you have deemed home for example owning a vacation house would gain you this pin on your passport card depending on where you choose

CYBERPSYCHOSIS as explained by Mike Pondsmith (therealmaxmike via Reddit)

Okay, so time to (partially) explain CYBERPSYCHOSIS.

First of all, Cyberpsychosis is a disorder that in part depends on the subject's overall internal susceptibility. Just like every person who drinks a lot at parties doesn't end up an alcoholic in the gutter, not everyone who gets loaded up on cyberware is going to automatically go cyberpsycho. You have to have an inherent susceptibility, which (in the TRPG) is represented by the player's Humanity Stat. Humanity is not just a measure of *one* aspect of personality, but an overall measure of several elements including the subject's ability to emphasize and relate with others, their ability to absorb and rebound from mental and physical stressors, their ability to show compassion and flexibility to others, and whether they are able to balance their worldview through other methods.

So, in some ways, I tend to treat cyberware as an addiction--heavy anabolic steroid use being my favorite model. Not everyone who juices ends up crazy mad with roid rage. But those who are more susceptible to the need to take more steroids are more likely to hit a point where they do flip into roid rage. (Take a look at this article from Livescience for a pretty good idea of how roid rage works--notice that it's got the same basic profile as cyberpsychosis).

David's starting Humanity was probably already pretty high. And before things went to crap, he had a loving mother, a career path, and no more hassle than the average poor guy in a wealthy Ivy League school. So he had lots of buffer. But even so, he still, even after losing all that, was able to make friends, build a replacement family, and (after some prompting) even get a girlfriend. And a mentor (Maine) to create a supportive father figure. So he could definitely handle the stress of added cyberware up to a point.

Most people in Night City don't have the level of Humanity to pull this kind of stunt off without going cyberpsychotic. So David is one in a million. And that's why Arasaka wants him.

V is a different case. We don't know V's background, but even if V was a full on Corpo, they were able to hold it together even when they ended up with a dead Rockerboy in their heads (Yah, tell me about it; Johnny Silverhand's been in *my* head for the last three decades.) In fact, having Johnny in their head probably helped V, because Silverhand's rage and attitude probably acted as a buffer for the psychological hits V is taking. It's like having a time share with a guy who's already half cyberpsycho and doesn't mind if V slaps stuff on their shared body; he's already crazy and violent.

So that's a rough explanation of the roots of cyberpsychosis. If I ever get band width, I'm going to start writing/posting some stuff about what I had in mind as I put together the Night City universe. But for now, you'll have to go with what I've got here. Have fun, and remember not to chip mili-spec cyberware, like your mother warned you about.

And no, cyberpsychosis isn't caused by AI net demons. Gimme a break, chooms!

The firefly forest

This forest has once belonged to a realm which the name was forgotten by time where it was said to habitate an humanoid species that resembled dragons, whom used to be incredible crafters and blacksmiths.

The long-lasting peace of this realm had came to an end when Shao Khan came to appropriate its valuable resources and massacre (almost) all its people after they refused to submit. He then merged the remains with Outworld, the forest being the most well-preserved of all the territories that survived the destruction. Centuries go by and some species of Outworld choose this forest as their new domain.

The forest's name comes from the fact that every night, thousands of fireflies light up through the woods. The woods' trees have leaves that varies between green, teal and lime.

In the Eastern part of the forest, there's a vast lake that's visible from the sky.

This isn't an ask but I love how you assign different flowers for each character! My personal fav is Lucien with the "forever mine" red salvia, really great symbolism for his obsession with the MC!

I'm not sure how or why I decided to add in flower symbolism into the mix but I'm glad I did. I pick flowers based on a mix of their symbolism, language and just general vibes really. I didn't immediately share the meanings in case anyone liked digging around for info themselves, like I do lol, but I think this is a good time to share my thoughts because I just really like to share any cool info I find and use haha

You're spot on with Lucien's flower, the Red Salvia just seemed like the perfect fit for his character and his relationship with the MC! But I also wanted to note that the meanings for the other colors of Salvia do fit in with his character too!

Most of the excerpts I put in this post will be from the site The Petal Republic, I really enjoy reading the symbolism and meaning sections of the individual flower pages, check it out if you'd like! It's my main site for picking flowers for their meanings (but not always)

The red blooming Salvia flower is traditionally associated with love and romance and is symbolic of “Forever mine” gestures.

Purple is a very regal color, synonymous with royalty, success, and good standing.

The pink petals of a flower Salvia plant in the language of flowers are symbolic of love, femininity, gentleness

The blue flowers of a Salvia are often aligned with friendship and family and symbolic of thoughtful gestures such as sentiments of “missing you” or “thinking of you”.

All these aspects tie into his character one way or the other! You'll see more of it as the story unfolds. [Also a little sidenote, I used it to make the little logo for the game too which you can see in the top left of the character bio pages, mixed with another symbol. I may have stuffed a lot of obscure meaning into small things lmao its a trend with me]

Conversely, I picked both Laplace's and Stuart's flowers mainly for their "negative" meanings, but the positives can fit them too.

Candytuft for Laplace because it can mean indifference, which is Laplace's default state. Other symbolic meanings of the candytuft include sweetness and stoic beauty. Also they're often depicted with/compared to fairies, and depending on who you ask fae and daemon can have a lot of similarities.... also why they are tiny at 4'9" lmao. And the appearance also just fits somehow.

I picked Begonia for Stuart, on the basis of "other meanings" section which somehow perfectly translated his role in the story, it's kinda crazy how it all fits.

Warnings of misfortune: Traditionally, a begonia flower stood for an omen of something sinister in the near future. Most people don’t subscribe to this meaning today, but it is the reason why begonias are still so popular as gifts in hospitals. 

Caution: In some cultures, begonias are used to symbolize vigilance. You can give a begonia (of any color) to someone as a way of telling them to take care and stay healthy. 

Harmony: Another typical meaning of the begonia flower is harmonious communication. They symbolize diplomacy, kindness, and peaceful transactions between individuals or businesses.

Some sort of idea for the Kid Icarus Sequel + Birth of Phoenix Pit

So i have this idea or prediction that Pit will have his wings burned like before... This time he fell to his death, but many years later he rose from the ashes, becoming Phoenix Pit; a much stronger form of himself fueled with fire powers

Now how does this go?

Okay, imagine this

during a battle with Hades, Pit encounted the God of War named Ares, but he's not like the other gods, he's a merciless one, it was said that Ares is the most brutal God according to Palutena, judging by the fact Ares never spare any lives at all and only cared about one thing: war . Ares despised Palutena and the other Gods and declared war on all of them except for Hades because he sided with him. We all know that Ares is also the bad guy because of his aggressiveness and mercilessness

Hearing the news of Ares declaring war, Palutena sent Pit to convince Ares to stop the war but Ares refused. Pit was left with no choice but to fight Ares, but he was too strong for Pit that he easily lost to him, following Pit's loss, Ares ignored Pit's plee and declared war... Just as planned. Ares called Pit a weak angel... A weakling that is worthless... which... Hurts him so bad... But Palutena adviced Pit not to listen what Ares said to him since his words are nothing but bitterness and knifes that could pierce a heart

Palutena and Pit tried to stop him, but he's more powerful than they ever thought. Not only that Ares declared war against all of the Gods but he made almost all of the humans Pit was supposed to protect turn against Pit and Palutena themselves, the worst part that even Ares made 1 half third of Palutena's army go against their own Goddess and their own captain

The war grew more brutal than ever, with the humans and 1/3rd of Palutena's army now on Ares' and Hades' side, the mission becomes more difficult for Pit to handle. The remaining army of Palutena who remained on her side fought back but they weren't lucky enough to survive Ares bloodshed attack

Pit started to lose hope because of Ares and he felt... Weak...just as what Ares said to him...

He witness his Goddesses Palutena kidnapped by Ares. He became helpless without her, but luckily Viridi was there to help him along with Dark Pit, she uses the power of flight on Pit to help him get through and fly to Ares' lair

It didn't go as planned... Pit though he won, But Ares was still standing. Ares using the power of flight himself that he got from all of the Gods he have imprisoned flew high

Pit begged Viridi to fly, using the remaining duration. It didn't take long for Viridi to grant him the power of flight to follow Ares and defeat him

But right before Pit could ever reach him, his wings burned up but he kept going. He was so close... But Ares have another plan, with his great might....

He used the fire powers he extracted from one of the Gods and made his wings burn even more... But what's worse he made Pit's whole body burn burst into flames, Ares threw Pit from high above to the ground like a meteor

At the end... Not only Pit lost his wings... But his life as well... And Pit is no more...What's left of Pit is nothing but his own ashes, leaving remains such as his laurel crown and his own weapon he weilds. Ares, took that victory and brings the rise to the darkest era, bringing eternal darkness and despair, sharing his celebration with Hades

Many years passed ever since the rise of the Darkest era Ares has brought in... The Phoenix which Pit fought before found his ashes, his lifeless ashes

Felt pity for the poor angel, the Phoenix weeped, allowing his tears to fall on the Angel's ashes

Then suddenly... The ashes began to glow, causing the to float then form around a soul of the fallen angel, a warm feeling surrounds a soul that lost life in a war

What comes out from the ashes is an angel, more stronger than before. Pit came back, only to appear... Different... Yet... Steonger

Pit is no longer like his former self, he has changed just like the Phoenix. His wings grew back with snow white yet radiant colorful feathers, similar to the ones on the Phoenix's wings, his hair now blonde which becomes flames, his attire changed too, to show that he is renewed, reborn with a flame adorned on his tunic, his eyes now in vibrant colors that glow in the dark...

Pit has become more stronger than before, now with the power of the Phoenix's flames, he no longer fear fire...With the flames engulfed on his radiant wings, he flew fast, he doesn't even need the power of flight anymore nor fear his wings burning up... The fire became a part of him and is THE power of flight for him with no limits, yet he couldn't fly unless he activate it himself

It is the gift from the Phoenix to him

Pit, who has now become Phoenix Pit must finish what he last started while he was still weak before, and must bring back the light again, and save Palutena and the other gods that Ares have imprisoned.

He is reborn as someone much stronger than himself, he is Pit no more now he has risen from the ashes

((So I know i did have a lot of old rps (which i won't delete) but since I have returned from my long brake, I've decided to follow more of the lore I've got for the rewrite I'm trying to do(will it ever see the light? Who knows?) Either way unless im.rping with someone who would be effect by said lore in which case their would be need to be a talk other wise this is the the lore I'm following:

1) qrow and raven were sold to a group of trafficker as children by their mother and have been branded (it is hidden)

2) qrow does not like blind folds (spent the whole time blindfolded)

3) qrow was a sickly child and while mostly grown out of it when she gets sick, she gets sick

4) the clan didn't want her only raven, when they were "saved" but raven refused to leave without her.

5) the clan had try to off her more than once

6) qrow was adopted for a year (a failed murder attempt had her saved by some passing hunters)

7) when she lost her adopted parents she wonder the woods alone dragging what little she could keep from her adopted parents before reunited with raven

8) she spent most of the time with the clan gathering stuff, making a pillow nest,, working on the weapons she had from her adopted parents (harbinger) and spending what little time with raven

9) qrow half regrets the gag gift she gave raven, cause it set raven up to like puns and bad jokes

10) she fell in love with ozpin upon hearing his voice and fell harder from sight and actions

11) ozpin and qrow married whe she was 20 ( she was a fourth year)

12) she's the summer maiden

13) qrow is the white queen chess peice and has much responsibility given to her by oz. For she was put in a position to be the most useful

14) adding to the above qrow is in charge of a group meant to hunt down Rouge hunters and has top clearance in every kingdom (this was a vote thing but oz made sure to stack the odds in her favor)

15) she and ozpin have a son name Yin (he's eight when the fall happens)

16) qrow owns (oz set it up) many homes though all of remnet, which act save safe houses. Though despite that qrow owns one building in vale on her own. And its an apartment complex that mostly is used by the people who work for her (as stated above)

17) qrow knows she'll be teaching any new medians that apper before she dies.

I really hate this headcanon that Dum Dum is 80+ years old because he said he enjoys Samurai and has very slightly similar looking facial features to an NPC in Johnny's memories.

Not only are Johnny's memories wholly inaccurate, you really think a lowly ganger is gonna have the means and eddies to keep himself looking young like Rogue or Kerry?

For me, personally, that is a stretch.

Also, the comment that he has been with Royce since the beginning. I don't think he means since the beginning of Maelstrom given, even if the Samurai thing was correct, Maelstrom was an entity a very long time ago (est. 2020).

(I personally took this as the beginning of their tenure in the gang, perhaps they joined at similar times.)

If both of these things were true, then Dum Dum would have to have been chromed out by the time of Johnny's memories in 2023 which he obviously is not.

On the note of early Maelstrom - many of them were ex-vets following the Second South American War and if you're familiar with its lore, most of them came back augmented to an extreme case and suffered from violent bouts of PTSD related "cyberpsychosis".

(Before 2077 Maelstrom's initiation consisted of starting and winning a fist fight with a rival gang. This has since either been retconned for 2077 or their practices have changed over the years. If we are applying current practices, initiation would follow the conditioning and installation of their optical cyberware.)

Neither of which this supposed NPC looks to have the characteristics of. I don't think a ganger would live to be 80 regardless, given the highly violent environment they're often found in.

Im not an expert on lore but that's just my thoughts on this conspiracy I keep seeing.

Ethan used to be in the Black Dragon from since he was born til he was 19. His parent were the best he ever had, despite the fact that they were sometimes gone on mission for long periods of time.

It was Erron Black who was in charge of mentoring him and looking after him when his parents were gone (Ethan started to call him "Uncle Erron" at one point since his parents and he were in pretty good terms). Erron taught him everything about shooting stuff and saw how of a Natural Eth was at it.

When he was old enough, he was able to go out on missions and was placed as a sniper.

Life was going well for Ethan...

But then the incident that caused Ethan to have his scar happened and his parents both died in the process. Devastated, He then ran away and was reported missing by Kano a few days later.

Meanwhile, he joined the army, got along with the kombat kids and now uses his skills of sharp shooter for the good of others.

To this day, the scar of this tragic day remains, as well as the tattoo on the top left of his back that reminds him of where he comes from.

Fun fact: He didn't get his hair completely done until after he joined the SF. Before that, it was just black hair with a single purple streak on the front.

thinking about how the extra area added on to a pacifist run of undertale, the true lab, is about alphys's past mistakes. how it ends with the story reaffirming that, despite the pain she's caused, the thing that matters is that she has now made the choice to do the right thing. she's still worthy of her friends' love.

thinking about how undertale doesn't expect the player to get a pacifist ending for the first time. how it's more likely than not that the player will kill toriel the first time they battle her, how lots of players don't initially figure out how to end undyne's fight without killing her, etc. what it expects — not even expects, really, but hopes — is that the player, if they care enough, will use their canonically acknowledged power over time to make up for those mistakes.

no matter how many neutral runs a player has done before committing to the pacifist run, the thing that matters to the characters, to the story, is that you've chosen, now, to do the right thing.

compared to alphys, the player honestly gets off lightly, in that you're the only one (other than flowey) who really remembers any harm you might have caused. and any direct guilting the game could have done about it is long past at this point. instead, as undertale often does, it makes its point via parallels: alphys caused harm, and she knows it. she has committed to being better. in doing so, she has unlocked for herself a better ending to her story. and she deserves it. she's forgiven.

those structural narrative parallels are all over undertale, if you know where to look. and that's one of the things that makes it so fuckin' good.
