I finished Love in thoughts | Was Nützt Die Liebe In Gedanken (2004) yesterday and I’m still in fucking shambles man. I feel so fucking bad for Günter because his sister knew damn well he was in love with Hans but still went after him and Hans didn’t bother giving Günter a second/third chance. And the fact that Paul was so infatuated with Hilde, he didn’t even realize how depressed and desperate Günter was.
I JUST WANT HIM TO BE OKAY

so i watched love in thoughts (2004) for daniel bruhl (obviously) and im like. in shock. what did i just watch.
i made the mistake of not researching this film beforehand LMAO i legit thought it was a romance-comedy like every one of bruhl's films from when he was young. imagine my surprise. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE.
like i thought the gifs he was in were fun. i was like "oh cool! summertime academia movie! fun!" and then the ending hit......
im gonna be honest i was so sure paul and gunther were going to get together. like i was 80% sure they were going to kiss because gunther was so infatuated with paul's "genius"?? and then hans came in the picture.......
i mean it was an okay film. i love the aesthetic and the plot's okay. it really does have beautiful cinematography and lighting it was just....shocking.........
