Well I watched today the first episode of 2022 Tokyo Mew Mew.
The storyline is based on the manga and I can't belive how well treated this serie got then 2013 Sailor moon Crystal.
I am downright jealous of the Tokyo Mew Mew fandom for getting this.
The animation is amazing, the color chart for each character is pleasing, the outfits ate based on the manga and 2000's Tokyo Mew Mew. And the artists has made them even more charming. And the characters got new transformations.
Unlike Sailor Moon Crystal who used the same transformation from the 90s serie for nostalgia bait for the 90s fans over and over again.
I really hope his serie is going to go better then Sailor Crystal who got so much critic and hate. All because it was more focused on Naoko's Takeuichi original storyline, and it wasn't like the 90s anime.

i really appreciate ryoko kui’s subversion of tired anime tropes, mostly a lot of sexual/sexualized ones
the main guy is a freak but not a pervert. just genuinely inflicted with the tism cranked to 100
none of the women are gratuitously sexualized (including the underage ones!!!) and all the panty shots are relegated to senshi, as they should be
the catgirl in the group isn’t some cute ditzy fan service character, but actually acts like a cat in addition to having her own arc and development
any level-headed male in the series respects and listens to the female characters and treats them as people and equals
also despite laios being a kinda blonde white everyman character, he’s easily the weirdest one in the group (and i love him)

people who go through the main tags of big and tumultuous fandoms looking for new fresh good posts to reblog are essential to any circle. they’re like true hunter gatherers leaving the safety of settlement and braving the unknown wilderness to find food for the flock. they risk their lives every day and will come back with a few scratches at best and severe psychological damage at worst

The way that Percy looks at Annabeth when she admits to stealing Hermes keys 🥹
He’s so impressed. Not just because of her skills, but because she stole from one of the gods.
Annabeth is only just starting to break away from the unwavering adherence to the rules of respecting the gods. The first time we saw her do that was talking back to Hephaestus in Episode 5, when Percy was frozen in gold. He’s never seen her willingly do something that could be counted as disrespectful to the gods and he’s so proud of her for it.

The warm lighting as Luke holds Percy at sword point because Percy trusts Luke. Luke would never hurt him.
Then Luke later betraying Percy in the very same woods and hurting him with the same sword as the lighting shifts to this ominous dark purple
i could write an essay on how the writers use lighting as a method of storytelling

so recently i found out that if you steal from tara's nest or are mean to her, she'll blink away and fireball you.
what i didn't know yet was that you can tell gale all about it:
pleasant, ignoring tara's bad behaviour

Loki gave free will to everyone, but once in a while, they would create small victories for Mobius.
When it rained, and there was no shelter for Mobius, somehow a forgotten umbrella would appear next to him.
And when Mobius went to order pastries at a local cafe, he would feel that no matter how long the line was, it always quickened when he stood on the queue.
Loki became the god of stories. And Mobius became the main character.
