The way that Percy looks at Annabeth when she admits to stealing Hermes keys 🥹

He’s so impressed. Not just because of her skills, but because she stole from one of the gods.

Annabeth is only just starting to break away from the unwavering adherence to the rules of respecting the gods. The first time we saw her do that was talking back to Hephaestus in Episode 5, when Percy was frozen in gold. He’s never seen her willingly do something that could be counted as disrespectful to the gods and he’s so proud of her for it.

[SPOILERS] Y'ALL CALM DOWN!! I was just as shocked as the next book fan over the 4th pearl, but do y'all not watch the previews at the end of each episode??? Percy literally says "Hold fast, Mom" as a parallel to when he lost her the first time. We're still gonna get our devastating separation scene. Idk if they're gonna lose a pearl or have to use it on someone else, but we're still gonna get it. They're not gonna miss an opportunity to take us across the coals

My favorite thing about this week's episode of pjo is the epic boss battle music playing in the background when Percy was driving the car. The way the music makes it so a 12 year old driving a car and crashing into things has the same sense of danger as a fight scene, the triumphant music when Percy manages to make a turn without crashing, the way the music stopped the moment Percy ran into the wall. An excellent choice

Ok no Hermes saying “Do you know what that feels like? To be so close to someone you love, knowing neither of you has any choice but to keep hurting each other? I know you do” to Percy and then making him have a flashback to sitting in the back of a car in front what I’m assuming is a school looking sadder than a 10 year old has any right to be was absolutely CRIMINAL

The fact that they chose to put the lotus flowers into the air of the casino to keep people at the hotel when casinos-pumping-oxygen-into-the-air-in-order-to-keep-people-playing is literally one of the longest-running Vegas myths, thus combining a Greek myth with a Modern myth?

I was thinking about the “four pearls” situation and the payoff just hit me.

The difference is so significant because in the books there is already no hope. We know there are only three pearls and four people. But giving him the hope of saving his mom is a devastating blow because can you imagine how heartbreaking it’s going to be when Percy inevitably loses or breaks the fourth pearl? His reaction? Walker’s acting?

They basically just made it a lot worse for us, y’all 🤡.
