A really though and touching movie.

But I don’t understand: - The title. - Why she killed Arthur who did this for her and the others victimes.  - Did Luke know about the rapes? Why hurting him for something he is not responsable. 

But yes, definitively must see.

The film is supposed to have a serious subject matter, but it's not handled quite well. I'm not sure, maybe the screenwriter and director didn't take the subject seriously as it should be relevant due to its feminist and toxic masculinity ideas. The tone is dark but not very convincing. Although the performances saved the insufficiencies, of course Mina Kulis is terribly good. She captured that kind of character you root for, but also someone you hate. Also, Finn Wittrock and that brief appearance of Connie Britton make up for the not so appealing overall structure of the film. Luckiest Girl Alive is entertaining for sure, but not as substantial and important as it should be.

I've just watched Luckiest Girl Alive. I believed it would fit halloween themes, but I soon realised that the situations described are worse than any other fake horror film. It was hard not to cry...

Some atrocities are unacceptable and heartbreaking.

So, I watched Luckiest Girl Alive last night on Netflix, and Mila Kunis was absurdly talented in it.

It is about a woman named Ani who is in her 30′s and is living the grown-up life she has always wanted for herself as a journalist in New York - she’s engaged, loves her job, and seems to be thriving at the start of the film. But something that happened in her past, while she was attending a private high school, threatens her perfect present. 

We quickly find out that Ani experienced some great trauma, and that it is clearly still affecting her today, but that she’s not fully processed that. The film is really unique, because it goes between the perspectives of current day Ani (Mila) and her younger high school self, who goes by Tiffani. This part was very, very well done. 

I don’t want to give away too much of the plot in case you want to check out the film for yourself. I really recommend it - it was a good movie. Mila is fantastic in it.
