WIP Wednesday

Feels like fate that I got tagged in this by @imagoddamnonionmason because I actually did jot something down today that I thought was fun and have been itching to share it. Needs refining, language not quite there, but yeah still fun. I really just love writing people taking a break and chatting around food (could you tell?).

From some future part of Lunch Break. Probably not 4, maybe 5? Anyway, spoilers, they're getting along here.

“You’re younger than I thought you were,” She said. He could hear her chopsticks scraping the bottom of the white takeout container as she spoke. “Oh yeah?” He asked, giving her a sidelong glance, pretending to be more interested in dipping his eggroll in spicy mustard sauce than whatever she had to say. “Than I thought Frank Woods was,” She clarified. “Oh, so you have heard of me.” She plucked a piece of chicken from the container and popped it into her mouth. As she chewed she seemed to be thinking it over. “For someone who works covert ops, you’re pretty famous around here.” She used air quotes when she said famous, balancing her chopsticks between her fingers as she made the gesture. “When I saw you in the park never in a million years would I have guessed. But I also didn’t see your tattoos.” “Famous,” He snorted. “I didn’t think you were so easily impressed.” She shook her head. “I’m not, but everyone else won’t shut up about you. Though the secretary pool loves talking about Mason.” “Mason?!” She munched on a piece of broccoli before continuing. “And Adler,” She added. “Mason I get, but Adler?” She made a face and shook her head. “Yeah, well... What do they know,” He said, leaning back and propping his elbows up on the stairs behind him. She was chewing again, but the look on her face told him she had something else to say. “They think you’re trouble,” She said finally. “And you don’t?” She shrugged.
