@miseria-fortes-viros I have a separate big brain project dedicated to finding the "real" Henrietta (spoiler: there isn't one) and I agree that Maggie took inspiration from local place names in her naming conventions! Plus other Maggie Things™ like Catholicism and art lol
Here are my theories:
Blue Sargent = Blue Ridge Mountains + John Singer Sargent. I think we all realized that when she obsessed over Sargent in the dreamer trilogy. But in case it wasn't obvious enough, BLLB is a reference to Carnation Lily, Lily Rose, an absolute banger of a painting by him.
Lynch = Lynchburg, VA + David Lynch (the Twin Peaks guy, but also a traditional artist who often waxes poetic about the nature of art and imagination.)
Ronan = Saint Ronan, a high born Irish saint who exiled himself from his home, performed miracles, and sort of fell in love with a male peasant. There's parallels is all I'm saying.
Henrietta = the name Henry (which means "ruler of the estate" + popular British king name) + maybe a play on Harrisonburg, VA, which is either where Maggie grew up or the biggest city close to where she grew up
Singer's Falls = Singer's Glen, VA - About 15 minutes north from Harrisonburg, matches the description in the book pretty well of being mostly farms
Adam Parrish = Maxfield Parrish + Adam from the Bible + Adam Miller, one of the first Europeans to settle in the Shenandoah valley, and the remains of his home is another short field trip from Harrisonburg. His property was nicknamed "Green Meadows" and I think that old timey farmer tradition is what inspired Maggie to call the Lynch Estate "The Barns." Might be more common on the east coast or Ireland or something but where I grew up farms and properties don't have nicknames, so it felt like an ah-ha moment for me.

In conclusion, if you're insane then we're insane together <3

Flashback:
Within the lush city of Lynchburg in Virginia, Captain Man and Kid Danger were on a mission to stop the Toddler, The Time Jerker and Dr. Minyak. They had a ravishingly, devilish, brilliant plan to steal from Target. The three had joined an alliance. However, just as Captain Man and Kid Danger were locating their target, they stopped briefly in Starbucks to devise a plan to stop their evil foes. Many civilians outside were still unaware of the dangerous situation. “We located the signal of our targets, at well—target”, Kid Danger reported to Captain Man. “Excellent work, Kid Danger, just—” His voice trailed off at the sight of an extraordinary beauty. She wore the Starbucks uniform, her hair flowed freely with ease as she walked, and her eyes sparkled joyfully. Captain Man had gotten distracted and approached the beautiful waitress serving drinks and food. “Hey, couldn’t help but notice heaven’s missing an angel”, Ray winked with a flirtatious smirk. “Hm, nice try, sorry buddy, my shift hasn’t ended yet”, the waitress smirked. “Well, I imagine a woman like you is worth the wait.” He flirted.
“Aren’t you captain man, the hero of small view?” the waitress asked.
“Yes, yes I am.” He smiles heroically “, the one and only, and you are?”.
“Y/n, L/n”, the waitress smiles dreamily.
“If you’re ever interested, I’m available at anytime, anywhere; here’s my number.” Captain Man leaned against the wall, putting his hand behind his head. “Captain, the mission, we’ve gotta go” Kid Danger said annoyed by Captain Man’s “distraction”.
“Well, if you ever in danger, you know who to call” Captain Man smiled in a flirtatious remark.
Present day:
Captain Man, whose real name is Ray Manchester, was busy preparing for a special date that he had planned months in advance. He had decided to cook a delicious meal consisting of Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta, a healthy salad, breadsticks, and a glass of cold water. To ensure everything was perfect, his assistant Schworz had been tasked with organizing transportation for his date, Miss Y/N, via the man-copter. As Captain Man was finishing the meal, he couldn't help but feel excited about the evening ahead.
The man cave had been tidied up, and everything was in its proper place. The table was set with an air of romance, with candlelight and a beautiful vase filled with blue orchids as the center piece. As Captain Man heard the man-copter descending, he couldn't help but feel his heart racing with anticipation. Fortunately, the elevator functioned correctly and made it safely to the ground floor.
As Miss Y/N stepped out of the man-copter, Captain Man greeted her with something special behind his back. He approached her flirty and offered her a bouquet of blue roses, saying, "For you, the rose of my eye," with a charming wink. Miss Y/N was wearing a stunning dress that she had designed, which only added to the magic of the evening.
As Captain Man pulled out Y/n’s chair to allow her to sit, the two started to have dinner. Y/n thought she would explain her future dream. “I’ve always wanted to explore the world, to see the world and become a fashion designer”, she heartfeltly said. “I’ve wanted to be one since I was 10; fashion is my passion”. Ray admired Y/N's passion and commitment to her dream. Suddenly, he surprised her with a platter of chocolate cookie crunch ice cream cake, which excited her. As they finished, y/n, to her dismay was rather sad to go. Schwoz arrived in a sleek man-copter, the blades whirring loudly as it hovered over the landing pad. Y/n couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness as she prepared to leave her new friends and the exciting city behind. However, her departure was interrupted by Captain Man, who pulled her aside for a private conversation.
As he looked into her eyes, he confessed his feelings for her. "Y/n, I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I've had my eyes on you since the moment we met. I know our time together was short, but I feel like there's something special between us. I've fallen for you, and I can't stop thinking about you."
Y/n felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment, but also with a sense of excitement. She had never had anyone confess their feelings to her so boldly before. Before she could respond, Ray pulled her into a sudden, passionate kiss. It was her first kiss, and it left her breathless and dizzy.
As they said their goodbyes and she climbed into the man-copter, y/n couldn't help but feel a sense of longing in her heart. Even though they were separated by distance, she and Captain Man kept in touch as often as they could. And every time he looked at the blue orchids, she had given him as a parting gift, he thought back on the time they spent together and wondered what the future held for them. Despite the presence of Kid Danger and the constant danger they faced, y/n and Captain Man remained connected by a deep, unspoken bond.
Anyways that's all I have for now:

Dating Sim Tropes
tagged by: nobody but I felt inspired, saw @crushng and @boywar do it
Name: Charlie Peterson
Profession: an artist. frequently an existential nightmare. sometimes a chef.
Favorite food type: he’s a finger foods kind of guy. Chips and dips, cupcakes, sandwiches and fries - food’s always been a comfort to him, and he likes to graze best. Not to say he can’t appreciate a good sit down meal. Sometimes he even likes making them.
Favorite alcoholic drink: Charlie’s not much for beer and wine, though he does have a few he’ll reach for in social settings. He’s more for cocktails on good nights - from mudslides to Lynchburg Lemonades - and straight whiskey on the bad ones.
When does he drink?: Socially, frequently. He rarely says no to an invite out and he’ll have two or three drinks alongside dinner or while sitting at yours and snacking. Privately, he’d rather not discuss. But there’s a reason his tolerance is so high, and if you spot him alone at the bar you might be surprised by the size of his tab.
Favorite trait in a partner: Loyalty. If you’re true to him, there’s little he wouldn’t do for you. Often to his own detriment. All he truly wants is someone who will choose him with the same steadfastness and care that he would always choose his partner.
Favorite spot for a date: Charlie loves a good arcade, a movie with snacks, video games at home… he doesn’t require anything fancy. His favorite thing to do is just spend time with you. He’ll take a tv marathon with popcorn and brownies any day.
Ideal gift: Has he been talking about something? A new game, a new sketch pad? Maybe the latest and greatest in kitchen technology? Show him that you pay attention and it doesn’t matter how big or small, he’ll crumble. Something personal of your own will also melt him. Something that’s significant to you, given because he is too.

Chris Chitsey "Life is Hard, Whiskey is Easy"
Tumblr media
Native Texan, Chris Chitsey, made a name for himself on the competitive, Texas honky-tonk circuit before graduating to success on a national level in the early 2000’s. His smooth evocative voice and energetic stage presence quickly established Chris as one of the latest Texas exports to find national acclaim. Rooted in the smooth Texas country style, Chris began his music career, as a high schooler, on the stage of his father’s Bar-B-Q restaurant and entertainment venue in the heart of Austin, TX. Raised on a steady diet of George Strait, Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley & Alan Jackson, Chris’ future had taken shape. After becoming the main attraction in Central Texas throughout his college years, Chris inked his first record deal two years into his college career at Southwest Texas State University. His self-titled debut album had three songs hit the top spot, including “At A Time Like This”, “John Wayne Rides Again” and “With A Body Like That”, which held 18 weeks on the CMT and GAC Top 10 Countdowns. Chris completed his undergraduate degree and went on to earn a master’s degree, all while maintaining his focus on his music career. Chris’ journey in the country music business has been a true testament to his talent, persistence and dedication he brings to the table. His star power, world-class voice and imposing personality have brought him the national acclaim that country music fans knew was coming since the beginning. His skill as a commanding and confident entertainer is apparent every time he takes the stage, carrying fans on one of music’s most enjoyable journeys. His versatility is evident in the wide range of singles he has released. Chris is a dreamer and his highly touted success is more than he ever could have envisioned. After many years of working the road, Chris charted his fourth #1 single, “Lonely In Tucson,” in February of 2015 on the New Music Weekly Country America Chart. He followed that with two more #1’s, “Superstitious Heart” & “Just Don’t Know It Yet.” Summer of 2023 brought on a monumental change to Chris’ entire organization, with a new 8 single record deal on Sony/Orchard/Clinetel. First single out of the box, “Last Time I Saw You”, garnered significant praise, landing Chris his seventh #1 worldwide single. Chris has teamed-up with a true American Icon to kick off 2024. With a knock-out video, filmed at the Jack Daniel distillery, in Lynchburg, TN, the January single release of “Life is Hard, Whiskey is Easy”, promises to be Chris’ best work yet. You will find the entire Chris Chitsey single collection wherever you download/stream your music. Whether on stage or in the recording studio, Chris exudes his passion and dedication to the country music industry. It’s that kind of dedicated work ethic, combined with God-given talent, that has made Chris Chitsey a timeless success. Chapter 1 Fieldwork
Tumblr media
* What is the history of the item?
Chapstick was invented by a pharmacist in Virginia named Dr. Charles Browne Fleet. In the 1890s is when Dr. Fleet composed his original formula and product. In 1912, Dr. fleet sold the product and the product rights to John Morton. Morton then adapted the formula and invented the idea to mow the formula into tubes that can be pushed up to release more product from the tube. in 1936 when the company started getting more popular, Morton started focusing on marketing, commissioning the design from a local artist. in 1963, the company was bought by A.H. Robbins Pharmaceutical company and the brand went international in 1972. A.H. Robbins Pharmaceutical company owned Chapstick for over 50 years until in 2019 it was bought by GlaxoSmithKline.
* Where was your item made or manufactured?
Initially, Chapstick was manufactured by John Morton in his home kitchen. When the business grew it was manufactured by Morton Manufacturing company in Lynchburg, Virginia. When the company was bought by A.H. Robbins Pharmaceutical company, they took it to Richmond, Virginia, where it is still being manufactured today.
* What impact does the item have on your life?
This item makes my life easier by providing me comfort. I like to keep my lips moisturized but not always with lip gloss due to it being sticky so this product provides comfort. In the winter months it is especially important to have Chapstick handy because the harsh weather can lead to dry, cracked lips which would affect one’s overall comfort ability. Chapstick last longer than lip gloss so my lips stay hydrated for longer periods of time without having to reapply. Lastly, just like you have sunscreen in your moisturizers to protect your face from harmful UV rays, Chapstick has SPF built-in to protect you as well, which is important to me.
* Who are the people directly involved with making or manufacturing this item? What is life like for them?
Because this product is manufactured in Richmond Virginia, I’m guessing just regular working class people. Although I do know working in factories they do not always pay the best and have bad conditions. Although their materials may be outsourced from other countries.

Whiskey glasses song

Whiskey glasses song full#
#5 Jack Daniels – Miranda Lambert “ Daddy always said he was wrong for me / And in the end, he’d only bring me misery,” Lambert sings against guitar strums in the opening lines of “Jack Daniels.” She takes another verse of teasing the real subject of her song: He was “ born and raised in Lynchburg, Tennessee,” and she says that “w hen I’m with him, I get meaner.” The song builds and builds in pace and volume until Lambert admits what she’s really talking about when she sings “ I fell in love with Jack Daniel’s again.” It’s a deeply playful song, and hard to listen to only once. To see a list of The World’s Best Drinking Songs (see which George Jones Hit tops the list) see our blog HERE For a list of the Bartender’s Best Bottles of Bourbon click our Blog HERE For a list of Most Drinkable Ryes see our Blog HERE Here is The Boot’s List: Top 10 Country Songs About Whiskey David Allen Coe “Jack Daniels if you Please”Īnd OF COURSE speaking of “Tennessee Whiskey” – we are partial to George Jones version of the song, which now somewhat of a country standard – so many artists have covered it.Cole Swindell “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey”.Asleep at the Wheel “The Letter that Johnny Walker Red”.

Here is our list of forgotten great tunes (you can see The Boots full list and article below!) We do think that there are a few good songs that The Boot left off: Over here at The George Jones, we serve A LOT of Whiskey – and we are partial to Tennessee whiskey (which is why #1 on The Boot’s list is no suprise to us!).

Pets are more than a pet, to me, they are family members. You raise/rear your children and a pet right along side. They are there through so many of your life events. Good, bad, sad, your faithful…
