i dont rly post abt her too much lately bc pillars is not as much on my mind constantly but paprika is one of my characters of all time among my ocs... like her (and my kotor oc Dane) were instrumental in getting confidence in making fun characters and exploring concepts bc before that i just stopped and then i started writing an elaborate wow oc lore thang that i showed to like 3 ppl lol but w paps and dane i actually started to have fun w it again and unafraid to show em off

Please tell us that Matvey is getting what he deserved. As in alone and miserable looking at his daughter being successful. (Once again, fuck people who beat their children. Everyone deserves a second chance but still. I have a bad feeling he didn’t change even if there were chances.)

I... don't think he has changed at all. I kinda WANT him to, just so I can use him more as a character in Tatiana's life because I like his design, but in all reality I do not see someone like Matvey ever changing even if given many chances, which he was.

So he is probably the same bitter asshole that hurt Tatiana and drove Anatoli away. Honestly, I can see Calina leaving him because of his controlling nature, and possibly she got pregnant again and did not want him to hurt this other child or possibly her once Anatoli left their lives.

I don't think he would be miserable though. If anything, he is probably happy to not have a family. I have this idea in my head that his family was extremely traditional, so once he got married he felt obliged to have a kid that he didn't want. And once Alyona died, he was just so angry and upset that he was "saddled" with Tatiana that he started changing and taking his anger out on her. The same anger that his father took out on him when he was young. (He was offered to let Tatiana stay with the rest of the Qwartz family but he took that as an insult and kept Tatiana out of principle instead of love).

And that abuse he had as a child is not an excuse to his actions, but an explanation. Matvey chose to continue the cycle of abuse that his parents placed on him. And instead of being like Neon's parents, who changed after losing their first kid (or at least were willing to change if Neon gave them a chance that he was obviously not obligated to give them), Matvey doubled down and probably got a lot worse.

He probably doesn't even know Tatiana is the same person as his son as I don't see him keeping up with news and also just flat out refusing to see his "son" as a woman, still deadnaming Tatiana and complaining about both his sons being miserable traitors to the family whenever he talks about Tatiana or Anatoli to any friends he might still have (probably also abusers who tell him he did nothing wrong and all the blame is on the rest of his family, only furthering their toxicity).

So yeah. Matvey is not going to become some nice guy or have a change of heart. I can see Tatiana and Anatoli meeting up at some point and maybe thinking of inviting their father over so they can talk and see if he changed. Or maybe at some huge get-together Neon suggests Tatiana invites her father as he is inviting his own parents and that maybe her father changed (which she would only agree to if she and Anatoli talked because even though Matvey didn't change, it looked like he did because he treated Anatoli better than Tatiana, but that was only because Anatoli was not trans, and it wasn't much better).

Well he didn't change, and I can see him making some incredibly asshole-y comments or causing a scene that gets Purl to try and fight him (Purl you are strong, but I'm sorry he is going to destroy you) which either has Tatiana or Joust step in to break up the fight/fight Matvey. Honestly, I would love it to be Joust because when they were younger Tatiana would fight Joust's dad for being abusive to him and this would be Joust's way of finally repaying Tatiana back (not that she ever wanted to be repayed, but Joust has always wanted to make it up to her for how awesome and supportive she was).

Okay, sorry! I am rambling now ideas I want to play with one day when I have time! Long story short! Matvey is not changing and is not miserable unfortunately. He has a successful business making specialized clocks/watches that help timekeepers stay grounded when messing with times, but also fixing old clocks and watches. Something that Tatiana and Anatoli were supposed to learn how to do, but neither wanted to carry on the family business (even though Anatoli kept his watch and passed it down to Cyril).

@jelly-mean submitted: Hello. Found a moth I suspect is of the genus Anomis...maybe species lyona, or flava? Could you help? Found in Kenya, East Africa.

A. lyona is found in Asia, so it's unlikely it's that one! There's such variation in markings among individuals I'm not sure it's possible for me to narrow it down to an exact species just from a photo. A. flava is possible but the markings don't look quite right to me. I think A. auragoides is more likely. But there could be another similar species I'm unaware of, too! Pretty little friend either way :)

💙Happy Monday, everyone! I've been away as I continued exploring Hex Break, my personal concept art project in the shadows.

📺I feel that many of us have been brainwashed to expect concept art sketches and explorations to look already amazing since day one (thank you social media), so I wanted to show the reality behind it.

So here it is! The process of creating Lyona in all its glory.

🔸I usually start concepts with a short character description, gather some references, and then start sketching with a more clear idea. I knew from the start I wanted Lyona (and the remaining characters) to wear a school uniform in a fantastic setting, plus some fashion as usual.

🔸So after researching, I started scribbling basic school uniforms for all students, to later find out a fitting outfit for a girl like Lyona.

➡️FUN FACT: the final idea was inspired in my home country's school uniform! I kept the colour palette as an homenage to Uruguay 🇺🇾 ✨

so everyone wakes up to find rowan has passed in his sleep (jeremy quit dnd) and theyre like lol that sucks ig and then go downstairs. the bartender tells them that general stryker wants to see them and anne and atlas get really drunk before leaving. they go meet general stryker who wants them to go track down 2 guards who didnt come home last night and sends joseph smith with them. cori tries to shake josephs hand but he doesnt allow handshakes before marriage. they head into the woods and get attacked by an awakened tree. atlas is too drunk to fight and just stares at the tree. joseph prays every round but has a -2 in religion so it does nothing. anne cori and elias are the only ones actually doing damage. atlas then gets one-shot by the tree because atlas is dumb and only has 9 hit points. he goes to this weird shadowy plane where shadowy figures of gods approach him and they dont speak but he has this feeling of knowing everything and nothing all at once. joseph prays him back to life. i allowed this for comedic reasons but in the future i wont unless its funny because there are actual spells used to revive people. they eventually kill the tree and anne notices a poison ivy leaf drawing carved into the side. they see smoke in the distance and find the 2 guards very very dead. one is sort of crucified against a tree using poison ivy vines and the other is face down with a poison ivy leaf carved into his back. they take the bodies back to lyona and then head out to continue their journey to get info and supplies from sole.

HEEEELP really funny you decided to just have him die in his sleep. crying. sounds like a fun session!!!

Which Arachnikid/Nueva York employee/JJK gang kid is the strongest? (Inspired by the one ask about who the strongest NSRtist is) (Side topic, but who could defeat Matvey?) (Or can they work together to beat the shit outta hate sink Matvey?)

For Arachnikid it is a toss up between Hobie and Pav probably. Pav's powers of the mind and ability to change the world can be devastating, but also Pav can be pretty susceptible to attacks.

Hobie on the other hand has sonic booms that could deafen people but also just be hard hitting moves or pure energy. Something like that would be able to mess with Pav's powers if Hobie could hit him.

I think Gwen would also be a good contender for strongest because of her vibration powers. Similar to Hobie but instead of going through air, her powers go through solid matter (like the earth or something). So her powers are kinda a compliment to Hobie's where they can both make up for each others' differences.

Nueva York employee is probably Miguel or Jonathan. Miguel for pure strength and endurance. He is absolutely beating Jonathan. However, the nature of Jonathan's spot powers can be used in very creative ways and make him hard to hit. So as long as Jonathan doesn't run out of spots and doesn't get hit, he can defeat even the toughest opponent over time.

JJK I think that would be Suguru maybe? Just having the ability to take other people's powers and use them against that person or others is a really powerful tool to have. However, the drawback of actually having to siphon those powers makes Suguru very vulnerable as he tries to get those new powers.

Otherwise it's most likely Kento who is the strongest. Even if Satoru can make a bunch of matter and change things, as long as Kento can cut/break whatever is thrown at him into 7:3 splits, then he is pretty strong for the most part. (though just like pure power wise, I would say default is Satoru being the strongest as I can see blue having the ability to make matter out of nothing, which is seen as an impossibility for even the strongest space elemental).

As for Matvey, if there are enough people then anyone can take him down really. You just have to be willing to permanently lose someone during the fight because if Matvey is going down, he is taking as many people down with him as possible (he is one to make a simple fight into a fight to the death).

Alone I don't think there is anyone who can take Matvey on by themself. Really you just need to overpower Matvey with numbers and hope you are coordinated enough to not get in the way of each other or getting multiple people trapped in time bubbles.

Just know that Matvey is an absolute prick and is willing to kill if threatened. He doesn't care if it's his family or a kid. His sense of self preservation is very high. So if people just want to attack Matvey because of his past actions, and not because he is actively doing something wrong, then they have to be willing to take the chance that some of them might not make it out of the fight (or will be forever disabled resulting from the fight).

Thankfully Matvey is just being a sad old man, so most of the cast will never actually have to meet him at all. I'm sure if Tatiana or Anatoli told people about how much of a shitlord their father was to them, plenty of people would WANT to hurt Matvey, but it's not worth it at this point because of high cost that fight would have.

ly/iriam was the princess' bodyguard first, then when the princess accidentally unleashed the curse, lyriam tried to kill her, and lysander killed his sister to protect the princess and replaced her as bodyguard. (was lysander ill afterward because of the curse? idr)

either lyonel or lyona also died... they were very young (toddlers) maybe twins?

the princess was supposed to conduct a ceremony/ritual of blessing on her birthday (a revival of one that hadn't been performed in a while?) but it went wrong and unleashed a curse that spread as a contagion from the princess... it physically manifested as a huge red scar somewhere on her body that was slowly eating away at her and causing her pain and exhaustion... she was always falling asleep and struggling to stay awake longer...

in the dream she was pondering on all of this while sitting in a chair on a lawn under a blanket, dozing off and on, surrounded by rich court people sitting apart from her and whispering... there was a little girl who kept coming by to see her and play with her, but something happened to the little girl i think... i don't remember what but i remember her crying... and maybe not being allowed to play with the princess anymore... i think the princess encouraged her to behave 'badly' somehow

no one there knew she was a princess, she was traveling in disguise because news of the curse had spread. the lawn she was dozing on was in the court of a queen she was trying to get an audience with...

was sitting in a tree near my fiance(?) in the swamp while he hunted

he had me flash him my naked cunt

his friends passed by in boats underneath us and he told me to keep quiet. because if they saw me i would be ruined

and he jokingly tracked them with his gun until they were gone

i think i pretended i was going to call out to one as a joke and he pointed his gun at me...

after his friends had gone i heard someone else coming

it was the boy i had flirted with earlier (don't remember enough)

he seemed angry

and he had a gun

he shot my fiance out of the tree

then i must have fallen

the boy was carrying me back to the house

he was shouting at me to wake up, calling me aunt sarah, asking if i was okay

my eyes were open but i didn't respond... maybe i was dead

he tried hitting my head against something... to wake me?

his face was bruised and bloody (it hadn't been when he shot my fiance)

he gave up on waking me and just started dragging me by my feet back to the house

then i was in the house, perfectly fine, with my little sister and ?uncle?fiance?brother?

but i felt like i wasn't safe with them, like they knew something i didn't

i saw my nephew standing in the hall (face bruised and bloody) he wanted me to come to him

i stood up abruptly and followed him while my sister and ?uncle?brother?fiance? were still talking

they stopped and watched me go

i kept seeing him through windows and in high up places i didn't know how to reach, telling me to come find him

my little sister was following me and telling me that i was always getting strange ideas and she thought they weren't good for me

i turned away from her, hurt, and followed my nephew

an employee comes along and politely shoves me out of the way (he's huge) and begins to wrestle with the many snakes and kill them? he just takes armfuls of them at once and then breaks their necks. this is clearly his job. it takes a long time. the snakes keep slithering out of his grip and biting him. in such a way that they tear the sleeves of his uniform so that his arms are now bare. he's very very big. and strong. i stand there and stare
