Beata Maria Helena Tyszkiewicz (born 14 August 1938) is a retired Polish actress and TV personality.

Beata Tyszkiewicz has worked mostly on the big screen but acted in several French TV movies, becoming famous through her portrayal of distinguished ladies in costume dramas like The Doll by Wojciech Has and The Ashes by Andrzej Wajda.

She has worked with leading directors such as Agnieszka Holland, Krzysztof Zanussi, André Delvaux and former husband Andrzej Wajda. Tyszkiewicz has appeared in more than a hundred films. Her debut was in Zemsta in 1956. In 1968 she was cast in The Doll, directed by Wojciech Has. The Doll was adapted from the Polish novel, Lalka by Boleslaw Prus. In 1971 she was a member of the jury at the 7th Moscow International Film Festival. In 1995 she was awarded with an Honorable Diploma at the 19th Moscow International Film Festival. Her dad used to do some work in Sears Tower and after 9/11 she spends weeks pretty sure he’d get blown up. She’s more upset about it than she’d ever admit. Her dad used to call her “my love”. (He’s still the worst though, don’t fall for it.)

She has a lot of nicknames for people she loves, and people who annoy her, like Mickey does in the show.

Like, she’s this tragic figure, almost mythical, pinned down by fate. But there’s also all these forks in the road and opportunity that at every step you have to hope things go differently. That’s why she’s so well suited to AU stories. Like in every universe Ian and Mickey find each other and fall in love. In every universe we as readers want to spare Laura, but we also want Mickey to live.

“Family’s Family” That motto Mickey repeats in different ways isn’t a Milkovich trait, it’s a Laura trait. You can’t tell me that Terry would have fostered that sort of devotion and loyalty in his kids (Cousin Joey, Sammy, Aleks, & Zofia are willing to shoot themselves rather than help Terry). That ride or die, get-Lip-into-uni, what-we-owe-to-each-other mentality is Laura, and it sprang up as a response of her not wanting to be like her own parents.

In an alternate universe, we’re all fans of the show “Dysfunction” 😆it’s darker than Shameless but still a dramedy.

Mickey and Mandy graduating high school is important to her.

Laura takes over Terry’s drug business. Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss. She gets out of it eventually though.

Once upon a time there was a picture of the Milkovich house with a cat on the front porch. Do you think I can find it now? No. But anyway, this can adopts Laura.

Terry’s birthday, Father’s Day, the day Terry died... these dates continue to haunt Laura (mostly because of her terrible in-laws, but also a desire not to have her children have terrible daddy issues).

A lot of Laura’s main story would be about women’s trauma, especially the unexplored “Shameless” trauma and abuse of its women characters. Ethel, Sandy, Mandy, Molly, the Russians, Karen, and how all of this connects to Laura as she desperately tries to hold things together and deal with her own trauma.

EP 3x03 would have been a bigger storyline as Laura beats on predators.

At the end of S4 she does see the Levchuks again.

She joins PFLAG and then is like... “what do you mean we don’t threaten or beat up anybody? What’s the point of this? If we’re going to get rid of conversion therapy we have to electrocute someone.”

She can be soulmates with (Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s) Charlie Peters as a treat.

Reader x Lukas (FEH)

A fluffy little piece for the Cupid's Arrow event, as hosted by @imaginesforfe and @fire-emblem-drabbles. This was written for @thisway-imagines, who I get the feeling really likes Lukas. I did my best, and I really hope you enjoy. Happy Valentine's Day!

Lukas

It is no secret to the Order of Heroes (or to anybody with eyes in their head, really), that you are  quite fond of Lukas. And really, why should you not be? He is not only an unbreachable defensive wall, but a cool-headed and analytical man. Indeed, your most trusted advisor in these terrible times.

You know what some say about him. He’s cold and unfeeling. Rumor has it he has no emotions at all. A reptile.

But you lend them no credence. You know him better than that. A shoulder to lean on, a level head to restrain your own temper, and a confidant with whom to share your insecurities. He always listens calmly. He never judges, merely offers suggestions and support in that smooth voice of his. It doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes, either.

And if you wanted more than just friendship with him, well… was that really such a bad thing?

It was bound to happen, you can’t help but muse, as you sit in the library next to him, a book in front of each on you. The two of you seem to go everywhere together. Whether it’s the tactics room, a stroll through the castle grounds, or a good book to relax in the library, you seem glued at the shoulder. How could you not fall for him, really?

You realize you’ve been staring at him for over a full minute now. You tear your gaze from him and fix it back onto your book before he can notice, and silently curse the heat creeping up your cheeks. Much more than this, and it might begin to affect your work.

But surprisingly, it’s Lukas who breaks the silence, as he closes his book gently with a quiet sigh. He can’t seem to look at you, instead finding his gaze occupied by the bookshelves in front of the two of you as he begins to speak.

“I’ve… been thinking recently, (y/n),” he says softly, almost tentatively. You close your own book, worries about yourself set aside for now. This seems important to him. “I know what others think of me. And they’re not wrong. I can be… detached. Dispassionate. Emotionally flat, I believe were the words Canas used. I know I am these things. Clive has told me before that they are admirable qualities, but if I’m being honest, they worried me for a long time.”

It’s a testament to the truth of his words that his voice doesn’t wobble, doesn’t shift. He’s not nervous, merely telling you the facts as he sees them. He seems almost clinical about this. You can’t help but wonder what this all is leading to.

Lukas glances at you and a soft smile appears on his lips. He seems to draw some mirth from your anticipation.

“To tell you the truth, (y/n), back in Zofia, there was a woman. I was involved with her,” he says. You can feel your heart stop in your chest, and the blush in your cheeks recede as the blood flees from your face.

“This emotional detachment worried me. For the longest time, I didn’t know if I loved her or not.” Oh. Oh no. “But now, having been here this long, I finally know for sure.”

Oh. So this is what heartbreak feels like. Nobody told you it would hurt quite like this. Like a dagger made of ice slipped between your ribs. Like something is stuck in your throat, and keeps you from breathing.

Your eyes fall away from Lukas’s face and onto the book on the table. You can’t even read the title. Your vision seems a little blurry for some reason. Maybe this is a sign you’ve been poisoned. Yes. That must be it. You must go find Elise or Maria or Lucius and have them check you. As quickly as possible. You’ll start looking for them in your room. Under the covers. Where nobody can hear sobbing.

But just as you contemplate leaving, a hand, warm and gentle grasps your own and snaps you out of the spiral you were falling into. The hand, Lukas’s hand, squeezes your own reassuringly, and you look back up at him. The ice dagger in your chest melts when you see the way his eyes look at you, when you see the way he smiles, ever so slightly more soft around his mouth than in other times. The dagger is gone, but a new problem arises. Somehow butterflies have made their way into your stomach. Big ones.

“I know for sure now that I do not love her. I never did. I know this because with her I never felt this way. I never felt the way I do when I’m with you.”

“I… I love you, (y/n),” he says, almost hesitant to let the words out, and you feel yourself melt. But when the last one is out, his eyes widen a little. “I love you,” he repeats, almost to himself, and you can see the way he’s tasting the words on his tongue, marveling at such a simple phrase with so much meaning. With so much emotion.

You realize now that he’s actually a little flushed, a dusting of red over his cheeks that you’ve never seen on him before. And his smile has widened every time he has said those three magical little words. It is wider, and softer, and much more genuine, much more alive, than his usual subdued one. He looks undeniably, unquestionably happy.

You say nothing, but simply scooch a little closer to him, and lean your head on his shoulder, letting your eyes drift shut as you hear him chuckling to himself. You squeeze his hand in yours, and his head comes to rest on your own.

This may not be a passionate declaration of love. There are no roses. No loud, showy gestures to make sure everybody knows how he feels.

But this confession is coming from Lukas.

So it’s already much better than any showy display of passion could ever hope to be.

X Festiwal Pieśni Patriotycznej w Wyszkowie

"Pieśni Legionów, żołnierskie śpiewki,

znane melodie, słowa

niechaj nie milkną, by wciąż w nas trwała

tożsamość narodowa"

Śpiewająca lekcja patriotyzmu i historii, która chwyciła za serca wszystkich widzów, odbyła się 28 XI 2017 r. Już po raz dziesiąty w Samorządowej Szkole Podstawowej w Wyszkowie najmłodsze pokolenie, czyli przedszkolaki, uczniowie szkół podstawowych i gimnazjów z powiatu węgrowskiego, gmin: Grębków, Liw, Korytnica Węgrowska, Wierzbno i Miedzna, wyśpiewali przepiękne pieśni i piosenki na X Festiwalu Pieśni Patriotycznej.

 Jak co roku celem imprezy było popularyzowanie pieśni patriotycznych               i piosenek żołnierskich, twórcze uaktywnienie dzieci i młodzieży, integracja środowisk szkolnych i lokalnych, a przede wszystkim promocja dorobku kulturowego placówek oświatowych z różnych gmin. Pomysł zorganizowania festiwalu narodził się w 2008 roku dzięki zaangażowaniu pani  Barbary Kazimierczak - nauczycielki muzyki i edukacji wczesnoszkolnej w SSP                 w Wyszkowie. W jubileuszowym konkursie wzięło udział 73 uczestników              z 6 przedszkoli, 11 szkół podstawowych i 3 gimnazjów.

Komisja w składzie:

Maria Sawicka – nauczycielka historii i emerytowany dyrektor tej szkoły,

Katarzyna Chlebny – kierownik Referatu Oświaty Gminy Liw,

Sylwester Drużba - organista z parafii św. Leonarda w Liwie i instruktor pianina w WOK-u,

Anna Kostyra – wokalistka zespołu "Voci Cantate" oraz zespołu jazzowego "Trochę jazzu”

jednogłośnie wyłoniła zwycięzców:

Podziękowania otrzymali również sponsorzy. Dyrektorzy przedszkoli i szkół biorących udział w festiwalu z okazji jubileuszu otrzymali pamiątkowe statuetki i foldery. Irena Sowińska serdecznie podziękowała także wszystkim nauczycielom, uczniom prowadzącym i zaangażowanym w przygotowanie konkursu oraz Radzie Rodziców za przygotowanie poczęstunku dla uczestników i gości. Nie obyło się bez jubileuszowego tortu, który zakończył uroczystość. Festiwal Pieśni Patriotycznej w Wyszkowie  został wpisany do Kalendarza Imprez Powiatu Węgrowskiego na 2018 rok.Szczególnie cieszy duża grupa laureatów I miejsca festiwalu pochodząca z naszej szkoły. Somewhat of a SOCIAL GATHERING where the knights could court favour rather DIRECTLY (from paying VIPs, of course). Some guys had already tried to flirt with clear implications that Maria RETURNING their advances would see them buy in to her next match. For so-called ‘FANS’, they really didn’t know her at all. Wait, was that why Zofia was DRUNK? More importantly, was that why she was MAKING MOVES? “Ehe~! What’s got you all riled up~?” Not a clue, in all honesty. Dziś chciałabym przybliżyć sylwetkę przedwojennego gdańskiego lekarza, również działacza polonijnego i społecznika, Stefana Miraua, który jednocześnie zapisał się w przedwojennej historii naszego miasta jako jeden z inicjatorów polskiego harcerstwa w Gdańsku.

Stefan Mirau urodził się 2 VIII 1902 r. we wsi Różyny niedaleko Pruszcza Gd. Był siostrzeńcem innego zasłużonego dla Gdańska działacza, Franciszka Kręckiego, o którym pisałam w artykule pt.  „Nie tylko prawnik i bankowiec”. Swemu wujowi Stefan zawdzięczał wsparcie finansowe, które umożliwiło mu  zdobycie wykształcenia medycznego oraz wychowanie w duchu patriotyzmu. Franciszek Kręcki „zaraził” swego krewniaka ideą scautingu.

Stefan kształcił się w szkołach niemieckich – najpierw w szkole powszechnej w Kościerzynie, potem w gdańskim Gimnazjum Miejskim. Już w 1917 r. wraz z Alfem Liczmańskim (1900-1939 czołowym gdańskim działaczem harcerskim i pedagogiem) założył w Gdańsku tajne Towarzystwo Filaretów  będące zalążkiem polskiego harcerstwa. W lipcu 1920 r. sześciu gdańszczan: wspomniani koledzy – Stefan i Alf, a także Mieczysław Tejkowski, Aleksander Witkowski, Jerzy Żuralski i Witold Kopczyński pojechało do Karwi na obóz harcerski. Wyjazd ten zaowocował utworzeniem w Gdańsku 8 VIII 1920 r. pierwszej polskiej drużyny harcerskiej im. Zygmunta Augusta. Jej pierwszym drużynowym został właśnie Stefan Mirau. Po powstaniu pierwszej żeńskiej drużyny harcerek (im. Emilii Plater), której przewodziła drużynowa Zofia Caezar, był także jej opiekunem. Wkrótce jednak Stefan przerwał tę działalność, bowiem w 1921 r. zdał egzamin maturalny, po czym wyjechał na studia medyczne do Monachium, a następnie do Berlina. W 1926 r. ukończył studia. Podjął pracę w szpitalu w Berlinie. Tam zdobył specjalizację z interny, kardiologii i neurologii. Pełnił tamże obowiązki ordynatora, na oddziałach wewnętrznych w szpitalach St.Hedwig i St.Josef. W Berlinie obronił również pracę doktorską w 1928 r.Do Gdańska wrócił dopiero w 1932 r. W kolejnym roku uzyskał zgodę Izby Lekarskiej na podjęcie w naszym mieście pracy w charakterze lekarza internisty. Równocześnie udzielał się społecznie: pełnił funkcję kierownika Poradni dla Matki i Dziecka przy Polskim Czerwonym Krzyżu (poradnia założona w 1920 r. przez Janinę Wybicką, żonę pediatry dr Józefa Wybickiego, wieloletniego gdańskiego lekarza, następnie starosty pomorskiego) oraz lekarza Komendy Chorągwi Harcerzy w WMG. Wygłaszał również odczyty popularyzując wiedzę medyczną wśród swych rodaków. Bezpłatnie badał podopiecznych Polskiego Czerwonego Krzyża, polskich pocztowców, kolejarzy, harcerzy.

Jego gabinet znajdował się w kamienicy narożnej przy ul. Długiej 20/21, u wylotu bocznej ul. Pocztowej. W 2010 r. odsłonięto, z inicjatywy gdańskich harcerzy, na murze przy wejściu do tego budynku tablicę pamiątkową. Poniższe fotografie przedstawiają wejście do wspomnianej kamienicy oraz umieszczoną przy nim tablicę pamiątkową.

Po powrocie do Gdańska, Mirau został działaczem Gminy Polskiej, Polskiego Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Nauki i Sztuki, Gdańskiej Macierzy Szkolnej i Towarzystwa Ludowego „Jedność”. Ponownie związał się z ruchem harcerskim. Należał do Zarządu Gdańskiego Okręgu ZHP, otrzymał nominację na kierownika Referatu Lekarskiego w Komendzie Gdańskiej Chorągwi Harcerskiej.

1 IX 1939 r. pozbawiono Stefana Miraua prawa wykonywania zawodu. 8 IX aresztowano go, uwięziono w Victoriaschule, następnie w obozie przejściowym dla jeńców cywilnych, skąd przeniesiono go do obozu dla Polaków w Nowym Porcie. Dzięki interwencji jego matki u m. in. promotora jego pracy doktorskiej  prof. dr. A. Grothjahna, Max Pauli – szef komendantury obozów jenieckich w Gdańsku – nakazał uwolnić gdańskiego lekarza i zezwolił mu podjąć pracę w swym zawodzie.

Wkrótce jednak zezwolenie to zostało cofnięte pod wpływem interwencji dr Rudolfa Trogera (szefa Policji Politycznej w Gdańsku) w Izbie Lekarskiej. 23 X 1939 r. Mirau został uwięziony ponownie. Do lutego 1940 r. przebywał w obozie dla Polaków w Nowym Porcie. Następnie przewieziono go do obozu Stutthof (otrzymał nr obozowy 7924), gdzie pełnił funkcję lekarza dla więźniów. Jego postawa pełna poświęcenia dla chorych budziła szacunek także SS-manów. Niestety w obozie zaraził się od współwięźniów tyfusem plamistym. Zmarł 24 IV 1942 r. Jego ekshumowane szczątki, podobnie jak innych działaczy polonijnych, spoczęły po wojnie na gdańskim Cmentarzu Ofiar Terroru Hitlerowskiego przy ul. Chrobrego. Symboliczny grób przedstawia powyższe zdjęcie.

Władze miasta Gdańska uczciły pamięć o tym niezwykłym człowieku  nadając w 1945 r. jego imię jednej z oliwskich uliczek (na zdjęciach jej fragmenty).

Ponadto jego nazwisko widnieje na tablicy umieszczonej na ścianie Domu Harcerza przy ul. Za Murami, na której upamiętniono gdańskich polskich harcerzy zamordowanych w czasie wojny.

  Wzór dla potomnych Dziś chciałabym przybliżyć sylwetkę przedwojennego gdańskiego lekarza, również działacza polonijnego i społecznika, Stefana Miraua, który jednocześnie zapisał się w przedwojennej historii naszego miasta jako jeden z inicjatorów polskiego harcerstwa w Gdańsku.
