It’s early for off season trade predictions, but I’m nothing if not delusional.

Draisaitl to the Bruins for Ullmark, especially if the oilers don’t get past the second round.

Watching them play the Canucks, it’s very obvious that goaltending just isn’t up to par and it’s their Achilles heel in playoffs. Oilers are going to have to give up a big name to get a good goal tender and Draisaitl only has one year left on his contract after this season.

DAMN. That's big.

I'll be honest, I think that's a massive overpay by Edmonton. They'd only do that if Draisaitl explicitly told them he's not re-signing with the Oilers.

Ullmark's on a decent contract, yes, but given Swayman's imminent extension, a lot of players might find themselves priced out of Boston. I've heard DeBrusk is going to UFA and that Boston is going to have to sell low on Ullmark because they simply can't afford to keep everyone. Plus, there was a rumor that Ullmark was going to LA for Pierre-Luc Debois, but that didn't end up working because Ullmark refused to waive his no trade clause. The rumor is that the going rate for Ullmark won't even be a first-round pick, it'll be a second/third and a prospect.

I don't think Edmonton has better assets than, say, New Jersey or Toronto, in any trade of that style, barring a massive star swap a la Draisaitl or Marner which would be a massive overpay. Additionally, Skinner is definitely mid, but he's not bad enough that he needs to be moved off immediately. The worse goalie contract right now is the Campbell one. That's a yikes.

If I were betting, I'd say Edmonton is going to try to land a goaltender in the offseason, for sure, but I don't think they'll be able to secure Ullmark.
