Buddy beamed, holding up the store bought egg that they had been assigned for the week,

"Rhodes and I have to raise this egg for a week! Her name is Prisceggla - if Rhodes claims anything else, he's lying," Buddy claimed, "Would you like to hold your Grandbaby Papá?"

Buddy was taking this assignment too seriously.

One had to wonder how much was Buddy being an airhead and how much was done on purpose when they would just suddenly annouce things like this it isn't like Buddy hadn't heard when Bailey just felt the need to tell Buddy about Richard's freak out the other day. It had to be done slightly on purpose even Richard felt that way when he startled at Buddy's announcement when they enter the cafe.

A moment of quite, well Richard was in his office, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee well he was going over the bills for the month looking at the budget for next and what they could add in for upkeep around the building. Stuff Richard would claim to be fun, because to him this was in fact fun for him. Till now when he was left sitting up tryinh to absorb what he just heard hoping his hearing was just suddenly going.

"Que!" he called out trying and failing at sounding calm as he left his desk and made for a b-line to the front of the cafe. Only to be met with, an egg. A store brought egg not one from like Rhodes persay and Richard felt his should fall in pure relief.

"It's the egg project" Richard utters under his breath moving to take a seat at one of the empty table since the relief hit him like a brick as he looked at the egg Buddy was proudly presenting to him in the moment.

Richard simply nodding taking that information at face vaule. Richard didn't bother to ask what they meant anyway too busy soaking in the fact Buddy was just way too into this school assigment. But maybe this was a good time for this assignment to come up if they were fighting over a name alone? The chances of teen pegnavcy might be lower now. Ignoring the fact Buddy still physically couldn't do that and for some reason Richard wasn't as concered about the chances of Charlie making that happen either. Charlie seemed to have the most sense out of the three of them at least.

"Would you like to hold your Grandbaby Papá?"

Richard just lifted a brow at the question, "Mijo?" He asks as if getting ready to break the truth on santa and other beings on that level. "That is just an egg, not my grandbaby. It's closer to being my breakfast than anything familiar." Richard says flatly to his son. Thinking them to just being getting carried away.

Well no he knew they were getting carried away here. Buddy was very much like Bailey when it came to that. Bailey would play along he could see them stealing the egg and dressing it up because his 'grandbaby' can't not be stylish. "Just don't take that thing with you on deliveries, I'd hate for you to break it. The yolk will ruine the leather of your bike." Richard takes note of the expression he is getting from his son. "Mijo, I am not delusion like your father call him to play house with." Richard states before moving out from his seat and heading back to his office. "I need to finish the budget if your going to make your case on the egg being family." Richard had no doubt in his mind, he may not agree but it be rude to just walk away with not letting Buddy fail themself at trying to convince him.

HAPPY TEN YEARS TO THIS BLOG AND JACKET

if you've been here as long as this blog's existence then, know i'm finna yap:

sorry but warning for me and my mental health and my journey here...

i've put off this post for... many reasons (hoildays, stress, perfectionism, anxiety) but maybe i'll keep this rendition and not chicken out or delete it because it's not perfect?

i really still can't believe i missed the anniversary for this! nov 29th huh? (yes i can actually !!! at the time i had just started a new job and that's where all my willpower has been.) but i fondly remember those ten years ago, that nov 29th is just as close to december anyway. so i always lead myself to think it's dec and not nov! details !!!

i don't think it'd make a difference but i do so want to get this in before the new year... (adding unnecessary stressors to myself smh)

it's been quite a ride through addhell. it's weird... to think how much has happened here. it's insane to think about how this one white hair anime boy changed my live in ways i could never fathom

picture it with me, a no one in a group of friends. with nothing but... the ambition of friendship, and the love of writing to fuel him, and a new username ready to take on the world: mymastermine.

that group of friends holds three: me, my would be DIE, and my would be LP. (does... does anyone remember those days of us three causing chaos laughs - tho mostly two, i suppose) we would make our way into the fandom, make tons of things, meet some people, make things with those people and make friends, lose some people, and grow, grow, grow...

there's just been... so much in ten years. ten years guys !!! that's a lot !!! i was a proud senpai and kouhai all at once! i'd found a really cool sensei. i ran into artists who drew things for me and i wrote for them!

i watched the rise AND fall of void els (raise your hand if you're an oger), in real time watched vMM became a cultural phenomenon (you're lying to yourself if you dont think he was - ykb did something irreversible to the add fandom that day i fear 😂 he's still relevant to this day lmFAO thank ykb for ur service), i watched the top LP/bottom LP debates :/, i'd poked my head into the els tag to see yall fighting but then i'd see some cool things too! i've seen so many cool projects and zines -- hell, got to actually take part in one! (cringe as it was - our writing, not the zine but still proud of doing that !!!)

addcest/hellsword (tumblr) isn't what it use to be though. (hell tumblr itself isn't what it use to be, let's be real LMAO) but... i think that i love that hasn't stopped some of us for cherishing and/or still loving add to this day.

i think if you'd told past me i'd be doing this, writing for one (1) singular anime boy, i wouldn't be surprised - couldn't expect it to go any other way i think

i'm not sure how to feel that ten years later i am still writing for him - it's been quite obvious where i felt it wane (but that was more my life and mental health (was in quite few depressive episodes - still am lmao), and joy - or lack thereof at the times - of writing and placing my joy momentarily elsewhere) but... wow i'm still here? LMAO

but i've met so many amazing people because of him... i've made connections, some not quite lasting, but then... there's always someone else there isn't there?

(i met dez and rain-kouhai for the first time recently! i've met more people for add hell between now and maybe 2-3 years ago! can you imagine that??? people still interacting, still wanting to talk about add - i literally can't! i go on twitter kr/jp and go "wow new add fanart" and feel so lucky !!!)

it's just little joys like this that makes me appreciate such things

i guess what i'm trying to say... thank you add for all the connections i've had and made.

BIOGRAPHY

most who see ellis can recognize the aura of privilege around him. growing up with wealthy parents who took care of anything he wanted, or hired someone who could. this led ellis to not having many friends outside of his tax bracket, and a rude awakening for him when the real world didn’t spoil him in the same way.

feeling more and more isolated, ellis turned to writing. and he’s good, very good. so much so that his teachers encouraged him to study it further, even though he expected to coast through university on his parent’s dime with his other rich, deadbeat friends. 

when his parents scolded him for choosing something ‘unstable’, he decided to choose a smaller, out of country university and cut all ties with them. they still send money, and he still takes it but never answers their texts. a loner, ellis is learning to know and trust himself, without his wealth as a safety net.
