How will the group and the fandom recover from this AMA mess?
Have you noticed the constant repetition of our leader RM all over social media? Namjoon? The guy who has made it pretty clear since the start of their hiatus that he's uncomfortable with being the leader? The one whose most recent album reeks of anger, resentment, and disillusionment? The one who recorded an album where the only commonality with K-Pop is the use of the Korean language? Okaaaaaaay.
Something feels off about what is going on with this AMA award. Why is there so much pressure to vote for Namjoon when he clearly isn't the one who's most popular in the US. Hell, he's not the most popular anywhere. And why the focus on him being the leader? I get the feeling HYBE is behind this campaign - everything feels too fast and too coordinated. We know they've been manipulating fans via social media for years, and now they even have a professional PR firm to do their dirty work.
Of all the members, Namjoon has shown the least enthusiasm about returning as a group. Right Place, Wrong Person wasn't written to appeal to BTS fans. If anything, Namjoon was eschewing all things BTS and Kpop industry. All this focus on the fandom calling him "our leader" (oh, that's so weird) is nothing short of guilt tripping him back into his old role. Equally, by encouraging ARMYs to vote against Jimin, he is being pushed back into his role as chief BTS cheerleader rather than a successful soloist.
If Namjoon wins, he'll be in a very awkward position when it comes to Jimin. He's had an extraordinary year in the US thanks to the love and support of his fans. Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be for RM to receive an award he and the rest of the world know he didn't deserve and was given to him out of a sense of obligation and pity? And if Jimin wins, he runs the risk of receiving even more rancor, rage, and backlash from ARMYs. Either way, both RM and Jimin stand to lose good will and support from the fandom. Why? Have they not signed their solo contracts yet? Is Hybe trying to damage their reputations by pitting the two of them against each other?
Finally, screw ARMYs for being obsessed with BTS returning to what they once were. Those days are over.

Rollingstone Article about Jimin - Well Written.
Jimin, the birth of a muse
New
BY. Isak Choi

Only those with their own stories can become the main characters of the stage. Jimin's story becomes even more ecstatic in his second solo album [MUSE] (2024). The title song <Who> entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 31 weeks (as of March 4, 2025). Jimin is writing a new history for K-pop by repeatedly making reverse runs on the Billboard main chart, which is the dream and symbol of success for all musicians around the world. The 31-week entry is the longest entry record for a K-pop soloist, tied with PSY's <Gangnam Style> 12 years ago. Even though it was released during his military service and there was no full-scale promotion, Jimin left his own mark with his sweet and commanding vocals and performance.
The title track of his first solo album, [FACE](2023), <Like Crazy>, topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart as soon as he debuted. Following Kyu Sakamoto's <Sukiyaki>, which became the first song by an Asian musician to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1963, Jimin has renewed the top spot for the first time in 60 years as an Asian soloist. With two solo albums that he personally led from composition to performance and visual creation, he proved his clear presence as an artist and his outstanding intuition to continue to survive as a superstar in the competitive global music market.
But the real reason [MUSE] is special is not just because of its high score. In this album, Jimin shows courage to face, determination to confront, and strength to overcome. In an era overflowing with stimulating and temporary topics, Jimin has returned to the basics and solidified his own world by burning with a pure and pure passion for music and the stage. Poet Rainer Maria Rilke wrote in <On Music>, "(Music) is something that is in our deepest self and goes beyond us and breaks through." Jimin, who has started a new chapter as a soloist, has been playing music that powerfully goes beyond himself throughout. That is why his presence flows into the deepest self and creates an unforgettable resonance. This infinitely human narrative makes Jimin's stage even more splendid.
The birth of Jimin
If you ask, 'What kind of musician is Jimin?' I would like to introduce this anecdote. After he finished preparing to release [MUSE], he practiced on stage every day with a microphone, even though he could not perform for at least two years before enlisting. He probably would have to start over from the beginning to wake up his muscles in order to precisely implement the performance of <Who>, which he meticulously perfected by watching the rehearsal video over a thousand times, after his discharge. Nevertheless, Jimin persistently focused on the essence until the very last moment. The reason he was able to quietly head towards the fundamentals without being distracted by the fluctuating reality is probably because Jimin is a person who sees far ahead. A person who knows what to do and where he is going is never trapped in the present.
Jimin once said about his first album activities that it felt like "peeling off my skin." This raw expression lets us guess how unfamiliar and intense the atmosphere must have been for him as a veteran singer and a rookie soloist standing on a new stage. For over 10 years, he must have experienced his life completely changing as a singer and as a person before he became 'Jimin'.
Jimin is a gambler. His life has been a series of battles with the reality before his eyes and with himself, and most of them seem to have been successful. However, Jimin's way of winning, as seen in [MUSE], is clearly different. Until now, he had accepted reality as an opponent to compete with, and had achieved extraordinary victories in a world of fierce competition and proof. He expanded this fierce journey and determination into music and included it in his debut album [FACE]. He created the world of soloist Jimin through a narrative of overcoming the emptiness and irritation of reality that makes him shaken by alcohol and winning freedom and purification. However, in [MUSE], harmony stands out more than confrontation. He absorbed and embodied the vivid reality he experienced while producing and promoting his first album and used it as a driving force to break out of the shell. This may be the reason why the intro title of [MUSE], which took a whole year and four months to complete carefully and purely, is 'Rebirth'. The fact that he started producing his second album during the latter half of the recording of his first album and ended up creating an album with such a different approach proves how rigorous he was in the process of reinterpreting his music and life, and how quickly he is growing as a musician.
The rebirth is proven on stage. Performing the title song <Who>, he shows his transformation from BTS Jimin, who has the power to "eat up the stage," to a conductor and protagonist. In a performance centered on theatrical movements designed with live performance in mind, he intersects with numerous characters and creates sparks of relationships and emotions. His role as the protagonist and leading the breathing of the stage is so precise that it brings about catharsis. Jimin's vocals, which have a special tone and texture that sticks in your ears, have long been likened to 'stardust', but in [MUSE], they go further and show explosions and orbits. The rebirth of soloist Jimin shows how much effort and attempt he made to be honest with the belief that 'singers speak through the stage' in a new reality where he has to reset the expressions and movements he has become accustomed to for 10 years.
The official activities of the title <Who> can be said to be all about the stage of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' in the US, which was filmed in advance before enlistment. The performance time is 3 minutes and 12 seconds. It is a short time to watch a couple of short videos that you can't remember anything about when you turn around. However, Jimin's stage leaves an impression and aftermath that will never evaporate. This is because it contains all the time he went through like a war to complete [MUSE]. Including this stage, the music video, and the dance practice video, Jimin watched the rehearsal video over 1,000 times for just three shots to complete the elaborate performance. He spent a long time of 1 year and 4 months creating an album whose promotion is uncertain before enlistment. This is probably because he knows that the 'class' of music is only the challenge to surpass oneself and the 'layering' of absolute time. Art is history contained in a moment. [MUSE] contains Jimin's determination to capture the infinite without being confined to the reality of limited time and unfamiliar crossroads.
The Birth of a Muse
If you can see the direction of soloist Jimin in the production process, you can see the world in music. [MUSE] is made up of scenes of colorful emotions that only Jimin can describe. Like an omnibus film, this album, with each story and point of view different, tells the story of absolute joy like a carnival, a sad emptiness like the shadow of a big city, and persistent love that spreads through the whole body like awe, with Jimin's expressiveness. If the first album [FACE] was black and white music that swept from the abyss of Jimin, not as an idol, but as a human being, [MUSE] contains a feast of love and inspiration that he explores and expands as an artist. The ecstasy and confusion, passion and drama that these vivid colors and contrasts create is Jimin's world.
The biggest reason Jimin's music feels so colorful is probably because of the tempo. Before his solo activities, he expanded the sophisticated and bold rhythm and expressiveness that he showed through his performances to the entire album. Just as Adagio (very slow) brings sadness and Fortissimo (very loud) brings excitement, tempo in music leads to emotions and narratives. Jimin's solo album has unique emotions that ripple from his own speed, gliding, jumping, and exploding across the stage. In contrast to [FACE], which focused on establishing his identity with music with a unified mood, [MUSE] changes the musical and narrative genres of each track as if he were going on a fun adventure. This time, Jimin shows his competitive spirit, completing the emotions of each track with careful interpretation and expression, and proving his wide spectrum as a musician. In the music that started from the resonance of his origins, you can feel not only the emotions of Jimin as a being, but also his muscles and temperature.
The first track, <Rebirth (Intro)>, which sings of the joy of love with a fairytale-like sensibility, encapsulates Jimin's world. The first album [FACE] showed Jimin's Birth as a soloist. In the second album, he moves on to 'Re'birth. This song captures the moment Jimin opens the door to a new dimension called [MUSE] and takes his first step. The sharp gaze that faced the abyss of the self in [FACE] changes into a light of wonder and optimism, like an innocent being that just hatched from an egg and looks around the world with curious eyes. The black and white world where ash and fire burned becomes a fresh garden full of spring flowers. <Rebirth (Intro)> captures the peak of seasonal changes from [FACE] to [MUSE], and lets Jimin immerse himself in the mystery of life called music. The Muse in Greek mythology is interpreted as a being that gives creative inspiration. The 'muse' in [MUSE] refers to the mysterious world of creative inspiration that Jimin swims in.
<Rebirth (Intro)> is similar in form to the first track <Face-off> from the first album in that it encapsulates the theme of the album, but in essence, it is connected to the double title <Set Me Free Pt. 2>. This song contains a narrative of liberating the self suppressed by fate and being reborn as a new self. In the music video, Jimin, who was locked in a circular prison and danced a primitive dance and yearned for salvation, finally achieves freedom and enters the world of light. <Rebirth (Intro)> is the story of Jimin being liberated from that circular prison. The "pitch-black me" expressed in the lyrics enters the world of [MUSE] for "true love" in order to be reborn and "sing while making eye contact with you." The main character of [FACE] was the 'past me'. In [MUSE], it evolves into 'the present of you and me'. Through the connection of these two seemingly disparate dimensions, Jimin's true world as a musician is born. As a side note, the development where you and I emerge from the pitch-black past and find ourselves shining is quite romantic.
The pre-released song <Smeraldo Garden Marching Band> is a serenade dedicated to his fans, his other muse. It may be a bit complicated, but [MUSE] has two axes of 'muses'. The muse as creative inspiration explained above, and M'US'E, which embodies the 'fans (US)' within 'Jimin (ME)'. This song was inspired by the Beatles' <Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band>. You can see the influence in the long title that ends with 'Band', the track video that was filmed live with live sound, and Jimin wearing a black suit, which is the first thing that comes to mind when talking about Beatles fashion.
However, what is essentially connected to <Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band> is the 'Lonely Hearts Club'. The Lonely Hearts Club refers to an advertisement posted on a bar bulletin board in search of a special someone to fill the loneliness. <Smeraldo Garden Marching Band> is a song about someone sitting alone at a bar table in a big city on a dark night, drinking beer and looking around, and leading them by the hand to 'Smeraldo Garden'. The background of the track video is reminiscent of the Alpine meadows in the movie <The Sound of Music> (1965). In a fairytale-like world where children sing and dance, pollen flies during the day and fireflies light up at night, Jimin sings with love and blessings like a wedding singer. The featuring of Loco, who expressed honest love, is added to convey Jimin's heart of wanting to gift perfect happiness to his fans through music.
In fact, the real pre-released song on this album is the last track, the fan song <Closer Than This>. Released right after Jimin's enlistment, this song conveys a warm message that he will always be by his fans' side, like the moon, his symbol, even at night and during the day when the moon is not visible.
<Slow Dance> sung with Sofia Carson is the only duet song that has been included in Jimin’s solo album to date. “What if Jimin, who has a high and soft vocal range, sang a love ballad between a man and a woman?” If you’ve been keeping an eye on his journey, you’ve probably asked yourself this question at least once, but Jimin has come up with some very interesting results. <Slow Dance> is a romantic band-sound R&B song about a man and a woman in love holding hands and dancing together, vowing to be together forever. When you listen to the song, you imagine a young couple dancing leisurely, looking into each other’s eyes in a warmly lit dance hall among many people, as if they are the only two people in the world. As the main character of this classic scene where the man leads and the woman gives in and dances in pairs, it was inevitable that Jimin would have to think about the role he should play as a male vocalist. The answer he, a romantic Busan man, found was perhaps to be the one who loves more. Jimin savors the lyrics more gently and delicately, conveying the fullness of love. With the sweet harmony of Sofia Carson's soulful vocals, the song creates a very modern and sophisticated mood despite being a classic story.
Sofia Carson's dreamy voice reminds me of the lover's cruel whisper in <Like Crazy>, "I think we could last forever. Trust me." <Slow Dance> is like a happy lucid dream that Jimin in the <Like Crazy> world struggles in the vast loneliness and doesn't want to wake up from.
<Be Mine> follows the lineage of Jimin's 'know-what' songs. It is an Afrobeats song with a lyrical Latin melody that contains a faithful courtship to share love from sun to sun on a tropical island with a hot temperature. It was as popular among fans as the title song <Who>. This is probably because it accurately captured the wish of 'I wish he would do a song like this once'. <Be Mine> is reminiscent of BTS's solo song <Filter> included in [MAP OF THE SOUL: 7] (2020), which is the ancestor of the 'know-what' lineage. It is a seductive and sophisticated Latin pop song, and it received an explosive response that literally turned the fandom upside down when it was performed at a concert. The passionate climax unique to Latin melodies, the exotic percussion sounds that hit deep into the heart, and the unpredictable development are a perfect fit for Jimin, who has a special sense of rhythm. But while <Filter> focused on expressing a seductive atmosphere, <Be Mine> is dedicated to expanding Jimin’s strengths as a vocalist into the genre. Jimin’s solid voice, which adheres to a tight and realistic sound, creates a groove and gives a refreshing and cool feeling.
Sexiness is probably the charm that Jimin can express most easily and overwhelmingly. That is why Jimin is wary of a seductive mood in his solo album. Although <Like Crazy> contains seductive lyrics, it feels like a means of self-defense to hide an intense lack. <Be Mine> is the song that Jimin finds easiest, and therefore requires the most complicated thinking. Fortunately, Jimin seems to have found the answer to how to handle his special weapon.
The title <Who> is a song about emptiness. Emptiness is a longing for something that cannot be reached, a longing for something that has already been lost before it can be had, and yet a completely contradictory emotion that remains absent. Jimin is good at expressing complex emotions. This is because he has an outstanding talent for separating and embodying even the smallest beats. Also, his delicate and unique vocals create unique resonances depending on the composition and harmony, just like an instrument. The spectrum of emotions that he can convey is wide. However, the reason why <Who> has ranked in the upper ranks of the Billboard Hot 100 chart even after 7 months of its release and has broken countless first and best records is not because he has the exemplary conditions to express emptiness. It is because he deeply understands that emotion. <Who> is filled with the despair and wandering, patience and maturity that he confessed in [FACE]. And true music always captures the hearts of the audience.
The music video is reminiscent of the night streets where the main character time-leaps into the future at the end of the movie <Back to the Future> (1985). In a street full of flashing neon signs, screaming protesters, and gusts of wind that can blow away cars, Jimin dances as if he can't hear anything and acts out his loneliness in the crowd. The reverse performance in <Like Crazy> makes his loneliness even more fateful. In <Like Crazy>, Jimin is trapped in his own darkness and rejects all those who reach out to him, so he becomes alone. In <Who>, he approaches first. The pair choreography, which is the climax of the <Like Crazy> performance, where they dance as if facing mirrors but end up not being able to touch each other, is reversed, and he breaks the barrier and goes inside. However, he is unable to find 'Who' in the end, and is left alone in the night streets, completing the emptiness.
Jimin's vocals are particularly outstanding in this song. As a song about an active journey to find 'Who', he shows off his singing style that is as if he is speaking firmly. Jimin controls the chaos of tension and pleasure where sharp guitar riffs and synthesizer sounds boldly collide with his powerful and unique vocals. At the climax where he exclaims refreshingly, "Who is my heart waiting for (Who is the one my heart is waiting for?)", he explodes with the pain of not being able to find 'Who', adding a sense of realism to the song's narrative. The retro sound of early 2000s pop style combined with Jimin's unconventional vocals also allow one to feel an interesting sense of the times. He even released an acoustic version remix recorded right before his enlistment, breaking all the attempts he had made as a vocalist through <Who>.
The Birth of a Game Changer
For a solo singer who started out as a group member, the second album is more important than the first. The first album shows identity, and the second shows direction. In less than two years, Jimin has released two albums that are like his alter ego, in which he personally participated in the composition and arrangement of the songs. Not only has he solidified his own identity and direction, he has also achieved unprecedented commercial success. While making ample attempts as a soloist, he has also expanded the group’s narrative by incorporating symbols of the BTS worldview, such as the Smeraldo flower, as the main concept. And despite all this, he is only 29 years old. As a new game changer in the global music market, Jimin’s future is limitless.

In regards to my last reblog. The most nefarious part about all the gaslighting Jimin fans faced is that it for some time it did succeed in making Jimin stans quieter. They created a culture where loving Jimin too much meant you were a solo and would be attacked so his fans were never too loud in fear of being labeled and cancelled. The other members stans never faced this.
I remember in 2020 how loud V’s fans were on Reddit calling him idol of idols. They would insert it everywhere on general kpop sub reddits. I was one of the few who would refer to Jimin as rookie bible (since that was the name the media gave him) but there was never enough of us that would refer to him by his titles. I see a similar pattern now with JK where his fans are all over the internet referring to him as main pop boy, biggest soloist and biggest global artist. The idea is that if you say these names enough in public areas, they stick. Yet the media has referred to Jimin as “rookies bible” “it boy” “‘main pop boy” and outside of our PJM circles we never publicize those terms with him. PJMs did a good job with Jimerica for example but that energy needs to be everywhere.
We need to not be afraid of taking space in other areas. I bet you most non Jimin fans don’t even know he has charted the highest and most consistently on spotify in the most countries. He is the most successful global soloist and we need to start referring to him as such. He has too many titles to count. We should start using them.

I'm sorry but I can't take this seriously. How does someone who has no success whatsoever in the US (or anywhere else for that matter) gets an US award? It doesn't even make sense that he got a nomination in the first place considering the AMAs themselves said they choose the nominees based on chart performance, mainly in the Billboard charts.
Jimin had one of the best years anyone in k-pop has ever had in the US in 2024. He has a solo Hot 100 number #1. Has the longest charting k-pop song in the Hot 100. He is the longest charting k-pop soloist in the Artist 100 chart and the only one to ever top it. He has the longest charting album by a k-pop soloist in the Billboard 200. He was the best selling k-pop soloist in the US in 2024. He is the only k-pop soloist with 2 songs having sold 2 million units in the US and only one of three k-pop acts to have a song that sold 4 million (BTS and Psy being the other two). In the US Spotify charts he holds the record for most streamed k-pop song and album and is the most streamed soloist (and soon to be most streamed k-pop act overall surpassing BTS). All this and there's still a bunch more I'm not mentioning.
And RM has what exactly? His highest placement in the Hot100 is #36 and that's with Megan's song he's only a feature in because none of the songs from the album he released the same year even entered the chart (mind you Megan has 3 number #1s and 40 entries so you know who's carrying who). Same thing with Spotify US, he only got an entry with Megan's song but none for his own songs including the one he recently released that only lasted one day on Global Spotify. But he deserves this US award because...?
Because armys were sorry they don't give a shit about his music and that he has no accomplishments while Jimin has countless. So they decided to give RM a pity award and guilt-tripped everyone into voting for him like it's an obligation while harassing anyone that wanted to vote for Jimin because apparently that's anti behavior.
Are they really proud of this? Is RM? Will he look at a shelf of US achievements that is completely empty aside from this one award and tell himself he deserved it? Deserved it more than his bandmate he knows should've and would've gotten it instead if their fandom wasn't so infested with people who are so bitter about his success and people who hate him simply because they blame him for a couple they made up in their minds not being together they way they wanted?
Is this RM's real achievement? Not being a threat like Jimin? Being so irrelevant and unsuccessful that people can't even be bothered to work against him? Winning only because bitter fans wanted Jimin to lose?
What a thing to celebrate...
i get you, anon. it hurts especially because it's still so fresh. i tried to keep my expectation low, but when you invested a lot, it's going to sting no matter what. what hurts even more is how armys are celebrating the 'win' as if we didn't witness what had happened or as if we didn't know how jimin deserves that win the most; as if jimin was an enemy that deserves to be eliminated and disposed. it sucks. this is the lowest of the low that you can expect from them.
from the start of the nomination, RM's nom has always been mysterious (i think i got an ask abt it but idk where it went) because afaik his album (except that collab with megan) didn't do much in US aside from those reviews and awards (w/c are more on the filmography rather than the music). we can't exactly pinpoint where his nomination came from. i'm not opposed to the idea that it was bought, bc again, it seems like it sprouted out of thin air, but we don't have the enough data for now; so i guess only time can tell.
RM and armys can convince themselves that he deserves it and that he earned it all they want. but they cannot convince us and other people who really saw jimin's impact and doubts AMAs credibility; especially since compared to jimin, he's had far less support, numbers, and popularity. it's a pity award; no sugar-coating could change that. the meaning and worth of that award is RM's burden to carry and prove, and judging by how he is celebrating his 'win', he's loving every moment of it. let's see how far he can go.
it's valid to be angry, upset, frustrated, and sad. a lot of things had been said and many more will be said. it's going to be an endless back and forth, but it's up to us how we're going to get through this. needless to say, armys will gloat all they want. we can't fully stop them, but let's clock them from time to time; they deserve it 😉. however, trying to fight them all the time will be emotionally exhausting and a waste of energy in the long run (but you do you), so let's pick our battles.
the best way to treat this experience is to see it as a pivotal moment in jimin's career and to us as his supporters. it's another obstacle that we need to conquer and surpass in order to be tougher and wiser. (god knows we still have so many to face.) we can fight fire with fire while also being level-headed and patient. go on and do whatever you feel will help release those negative emotions as long as it'll give you a little comfort. but please, let's not forget to give ourselves more time to regroup. definitely no time for regrets though because we worked for jimin 101%.
for me (and i'm sure to other pjms), this isn't exactly a defeat. jimin may not have gotten that physical trophy and title, but we gained and are gaining so much more from this experience. our fandom is growing stronger and united, armys (and the members) are showing their true colors clearer and louder than ever, we're gaining better insights on how to advocate for jimin effectively, and so much more. no amount of awards should stop jimin from conquering the world. no amount of awards and mediaplay should steal jimin's spark when he has us supporting him. he deserves the love and support. don't give his antis, hybe, and armys the satisfaction.
let's reflect, give ourselves time to breathe, and try to channel our emotions to something more productive. we have songs to streams, polls to win, and jimin to welcome back (!!!)
i'm proud of jimin and i'm proud of us (he's going to be proud of us too). let's keep moving forward, onwards. steadily.
#proud of jimin and us 🫂#nothing is wasted#we voted for love and that's the best thing we can do for jimin#jimin is coming home soon#i can answer this ask better but this is how far my energy can go now ✌️#jimin#park jimin

Oh my god this sentiment!!!!
"think deep down they know if JM leaves, they are fucked. I know a lot of people say RM might be the one keeping the group together but I am willing to bet it's JM. If he chooses he had had enough, I don't think BTS will cease to exist. Yeah others leaving will create a dent but I think JM leaving will break the group. I don't think he will be the way. He is too much of a good guy. He knows the legacy the group brings but it would be interesting to see".
I remember having this convo with an Army once and they got so offended that I would feel that way. Honestly when I first got into BTS, it was because Jimin was trending on Twitter. I only checked him out after I consistently saw him trend. After that I realized he was a part of group called BTS and that was it for me. I have watched BTS and their content for a long time now and there are few things I can hundred percent bank on.
BTS have an amazing chemistry as a group. Regardless of what happens behind the camera, they are able to put it all aside and work as a team. There is a great sense of pride of being a team and they genuinely like each other.
Yes they are close but they get jealous of each other. I don't know the level of jealousy but there have been a few throwaway comment from the guys which points to this.
No matter what anyone says, Jimin is the emotional centre of the group. He is the person they go to when they need to hash out things but he is also the person that calls them out when they are being shit. He is the one who will have a chat with the leader of the others are struggling. He is the one who will tell people when things aren't working and they rely heavily on him. I see this as a disadvantage for Jimin because he is constantly in a giver and fixer role and he might not be getting the same back but I think we gotta remember he is a leader behind the scenes. He knows what he wants and he will go for it.
One thing that I wish Jimin did more of us boast about himself. He is extremely talented, extremely athletic, very good at a lot of things and fucking phenomenal dancer but I don't think I have seen Jimin boast about any of this.
All the members have had a role in the beginning and they have stuck to it for years and they will continue to stick to it even when they come back as a group. The chances of them bringing up Jimins success especially the first Korean soloist to top Hot 100 will not be brought up even though they will bring up Sevens success. I genuinely don't know why they do that but this has been a common recurrence.
I personally don't think the boys are distant as people make them out to be. When they come as a group, we will see a similar dynamic.
The above paragraph about JM being the one that can break the group, I whole heatedly believe this shit. Like I truly think that if he was to return tomorrow and say to the group, I am done, they will have to walk away. I have many reasons to believe this. Firstly, it's very obvious to me that he is highly intelligent emotionally as well as intellectually. Because he is so highly emotionally intelligent, he is able to balance the group. He can be anything to anyone of them so he centres them. He shares a very good relationship with all of them and he values his relationship with them all so he goes out of his way to keep it. He isn't jealous at all of the boys so he doesn't let that get in his head. He might have little jealously over their skills but not them as people. He also doesn't need loud declaration that he is amazing or he is the best. He of course likes it because who the fuck wouldn't but that's not the only driving factor.
This is going to be so bold of me and I could be wrong and I will most likely be wrong but it will be a JK vs JM show and it will continue to be that way for a while. I think the boys have known this for a long time. They can see the metrics and judge it accordingly. From what I can see, JK has always been pushed as the centre member. They have always wanted him to be the popular member. I have never understood why but I am assuming they feel that he has more years possibly being the youngest. He is also a great singer and stable so I am not surprised. I still think it's weird that they would focus on one person in a 7 member group but it kind of makes sense. But JM has always been an anomaly. He is incredibly charismatic so that makes him stand out. He is good looking which is JK is too by the way but Jimin captures more eyeballs. But most importantly not only is he a great dancer and singer, he has a natural star quality that the rest of them including JK need to work hard to show. He has sensuality that a lot of people don't possess so it's not a surprise that the competition is between the two young members. My only surprise is the lack of musical success for V but that might change once he changes his tune. This is a space I am keeping an eye on. Honestly I am also interested to see where Hobi lands because he has a lot of potential too. Overall though, it's always been those two from the beginning. And seems to be those two now too. I would be interested to see how they would both fare if they got exactly the same roll out.
Look what I am trying to say is that I am not being mean to the rest of the members to agree with the sentiment above. Maybe that will be change but I don't see that happening. I have always thoughts that JM is a glue to the group, I felt that while watching the AYS EP three as well. He has something and that shows in their content as well as peoples reaction to him. Yes he gets a lot of negative hate but only people like Jimin who stand out get this type of hate because deep down a lot of people are insecure about him. Yes a lot of them act like he has no impact but deep down they know that he has too much impact. We all know it, Army know it, solo fans know and the company knows it too. I am just unsure why the company is being stupid but I hope one day Jimin tells us why!!
you absolutely devoured this. i have nothing to add

BTS prioritizing ot7 literally stunts jimin as a soloist. Jimin needs to continue stepping out of his comfort zone and surround himself with people who value his ideas and I fear him being in BTS does not allow that for him. Half of the members don't even want to dance anymore and if they feel like they're too old then that's them- jimin has so much untapped potential I don't think people realize. So yes BTS disband!!! Or go on an unspoken hiatus indefinitely!!!
i mean everyone can keep drawing this life and career plan and path in place of jimin all you want, he will always end up being the one setting his priorities and its a pill some of you need to swallow at one point. Me personally i believe that as much as jimin thinks of the group as a priority as much as he also cares so much about music art dancing and those are things he won't stop doing or completely give up on..the rest will be for him to figure out and for the group to figure out, there is no point in forecasting things before they even happen.
Jimin for me has the most potential out of all the members but it's also for him to decide where he wants to put that potential and in what context he wants success. It can be as part of a group, on his own, both..whatever he wants to do i'm in. For now because of a consistent discourse he kept holding it's both, so it will be selfish of me to want part of it out for the sake of a plan "I" drew for "HIM".
I'm not ready to give up on a jimin telling his own individual story and working on his own albums as a soloist but i'm also okay with the jimin i stanned and liked even before this whole chap2 in the group context who was also shining (and i refuse to hyper focus on my universe or smth or do that much over a song because it doesnt have choreo) a combination of both is fine by me with jimin taking his time not feeling forced in any way and releasing his own music when he is inspired. The only realistic issue with this is going to be the label management with 6other members planned and a group and its smth i wish he can figure out too but i'm in for the ride in all cases.

Chameleon Park Jimin 5 (continued)
My Chameleon Park Jimin (PJM) Series - Parts 1-4 - discusses the emotional, physical, & professional growth, adjustments, and changes Jimin has endured and experienced during his BTS journey, as I see it.
BTS had started as a small group at a new company, both trying to break into the KPop industry. This was an industry that did not welcome the daring attempt after decades of the 3 main companies monopolizing the KPop scene. For my writing, we are now at the time when BTS was an undeniable success and was accomplishing new opportunities and achievements that were beyond even their wildest expectations, and were beyond what the KPop industry had ever done - and still has yet to reach. BTS had earned worldwide success, not just KPop or Asian success, but global, historic success. Unfortunately, life, as well as the industry, continued to throw challenges BTS’s and Jimin’s way.
Catching up with how we got here...
The Covid pandemic had obliterated BTS’s previous plans (~4 minutes) for touring and enlistment, so at their Festa 2022 dinner, the guys finally announced their new plan (~5 minutes). Stunned fans found out that the group would be taking a "hiatus", where they would be exploring their individual lives and solo musical experiences before reuniting as a group. That was enough of a surprise, so the planned, staggered military enlistments would not be announced until a later time.
During the dinner conversation, Jimin was obviously distressed and expressed his identity as a group performer and seemed weary (30 seconds) about being forced into the solo realm. Jimin’s reluctance to be a soloist at this time was not because he didn’t feel he could do the work. He had already proven what a hard worker he is. It wasn’t because he wasn’t interested in independent creative work. He had already shown his dedicated involvement in contributing to all 3 of his BTS solo songs as well as to the choreography and staging for his BTS solo performances.
Jimin had been officially credited with co-writing and co-composing his very first BTS solo song, LIE (2016), which was the most successful solo song from BTS's Wings album. In fact, all of Jimin’s BTS solo songs and performances have been extremely successful and well received. His performance for LIE has been used by idol trainees as a standard of stage performance. (Note: Jimin sings while dancing when performing, whereas most trainees do one or the other but rarely [if ever] both together as Jimin does.)
The reason for Jimin’s concern about the solo situation, I feel, was because he loves “family”. He loves connections with people, and even with the difficulties and challenges, I believe he loved the constant companionship and collaboration with his bandmates (set to mark). I feel he loved the team functioning together and living together for as long as they did.
However, Jimin is also always a team player and, as I’ve described in previous posts, he would do whatever was needed or asked of him. As a perfectionist, he would do whatever he was required to do to his fullest effort, even if it meant working alone as a contribution to BTS’s continuing progress. Still, the disruption of his "family" made him sad - not to mention the reasons for the disruptions that we'll get to later.
Throughout the time described in my Chameleon PJM parts 1-4, the 7 members of BTS had grown extremely close. They had been through a lot together. They had spent a lot of time working, traveling, laughing, crying, and performing together with unified minds toward the goal of succeeding as a group. As stated, they also had lived together for most of that time.
Even when having their own rooms was possible, JHope and Jimin remained roommates (Scroll down to “On Living With Him” paragraph). When the limited number of rooms required at least one pair to share space, JHope and Jimin agreed to do that at each residence. Not only were they drama-free, pleasant roommates (Set to mark ~30 seconds) with each other, but Jhope may have been understanding, kind, and/or wise enough to see that it was possibly something that Jimin needed.
During the Covid quarantine, while Jimin was going through some issues (described in his 1st solo album FACE) and eventually sorting them out, all the members had moved out of the shared dorm to their own homes. Jimin too moved into his own place, which he explained was difficult for him at first. He said it was so solitary and quiet that he could hear his ears ringing (in BTS’s Beyond the Star documentary).
Previously Jimin had lamented several times about being lonely. He once drank to comfort himself at a time when BTS was successful enough to have their own hotel rooms but when the team members were also struggling emotionally. He told them that he was lonely in his struggle and didn’t feel it was a good idea for them to have their own rooms at that time (about BTS’s Bring the Soul docu-series).
Later, Jimin came to the realization that it wasn’t so much that he hated being alone as much as he was afraid of being left behind. He said he was often left alone as a child, even at Christmas, so perhaps he had developed a fear of abandonment. He was constantly threatened to be dropped from the trainee program when he had first arrived at BigHit, so maybe that created, or at least heightened, this problem.
Whatever experiences or feelings caused Jimin's reactions, they did eventually need to be addressed. Interestingly, Jimin said during the time that is explained in his 1st solo album, FACE, that he had been forced to face himself and his life. Perhaps this was one of the issues that was confronted and tackled.
Throughout BTS’s time together, Jimin had made a concerted effort to have a specific and special relationship with each member. In addition to his continual rooming situation with JHope, Jimin’s efforts to create bonds were intentional, and I feel this ability and skill to cultivate relationships (~30 seconds) helped the group emotionally as a whole.
If you recall, Jimin came late as a trainee, but only after a short time being there, his contributions and presence caused the group, as well as a few key staff members, to insist that leadership allow Jimin to debut with their team. They insisted even though Jimin had only had a short time to train and be involved with the members, all who had already been there much longer. Jimin's ability to connect easily, as well as the contributions he displayed, probably inspired the newly-met members to fight for his involvement.
In BTS’s Beyond The Star documentary, creator BangPD described how he was convinced by others, against his own considerations, to permit Jimin, the recent trainee, to debut with BTS. Jimin’s exclusion, according to RM (~1 minute), would have been “a disaster” for BTS’s future. During the next 10 years, Jimin had not only proved his insistent supporters right, but also became a valuable support and confidant to every member, who at different times said Jimin was someone they had turned to for comfort and conversation during stressful or difficult moments.
During the hiatus, the group was now living separately, working separately to explore solo work, and were planning to stagger into the military for their mandatory duty. During the Festa 2022 dinner (~4-5 minutes), the guys had said they felt closer since they didn’t see each other all the time and had space and privacy. However, the effort to maintain closeness in relationships would now have to be more deliberate than before.
The new group circumstances, along with Jimin’s already established bonds with each member, as well as his extroverted, nurturing personality, may explain why Jimin made a point to personally support each member in their solo efforts.
Jimin showed up in person at the start of each members’ solo promotions, even if they were overseas: JHope’s Lollapalooza concert in Chicago, U.S., Suga’s initial world tour concerts in New York, U.S., RM's album drop day at the HYBE office with a cake presentation, JK's early promo performance in New York, U.S. (no official company pics but the U.S. leg of their later travel show was filmed during the same visit.), and V's music show performance and fanmeet event, in which V requested for Jimin to participate.
The only reason Jimin likely did not attend something for Jin was because, before Jin’s early enlistment, Jin only had time to release one single collaboration with the group Coldplay, where he flew many hours to perform only once in Argentina at a Coldplay concert. Even though I don’t know this for a fact, I would suspect that Jimin did something to support Jin for that performance. What I do know that he did for Jin was to make the first of many changes to his WeVerse profile picture that featured Jin, throughout Jin’s military service and his later solo album release, up to the present time.
In addition to Jimin attending everyone’s promotional events in order to maintain personal bonds, the group did divide tasks to make sure there was always at least one other BTS representation at each other’s introductory promotional activities or preparations.
The group's and Jimin’s supportive efforts also helped to maintain the visual link for fans to BTS as a group in the midst of their solo adventures. All of these actions, along with social dinners and outings, some of which fans learned about later, helped Jimin spend time with and remain in contact with his bandmates before they would all be separated for a while by military time and distance.

Someone tell these dick head anons that traveling can be for several reasons, even jkkrs knows about it. So there's no need to come like your pea sized brain got a gotcha moment. These people literally operate in 2d world it seems. Or are they too dumb to even understand how a real world works ?
1. THE MAIN REASON FOR THEIR TRAVELING IS THE TRAVEL VLOG THEY ARE FILMING. THATS WHAT FANDOM AND MEDIA KNOWS AND THATS WHAT THE OFFICAL EVENT THEY ARE TRAVELING FOR YOU MORONS. BUT THEY CHOSE TO DO IT WITH EACH OTHER KNOWING HOW THEY WILL BE SEPERATED FOR SOME TIME TILL THEY FINISH THEIR SERVICE, MAKING AS MUCH AS BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES WITH EACH OTHER BEFORE ENTERING MILITARY. YOUR DENIAL IS A PERFECT COVERUP FOR JKK... KEEP DOING IT...👏👏
2. DEAR UNEDUCATED BITCHES, ONCE YOU START ENLISTING PROCESS YOU CANT TRAVEL OUT OF THE COUNTRY UNLESS ITS FOR WORK RELATED. DO YOU THINK JKK CAN JUST GO FOR A LOVEY DOVEY TRIP, EVEN AS PRIVATE ? NOPE. SO THIS SCHEDULE IS A PERFECT COVER UP FOR THEM TO TRAVEL AND SPENT TIME TOGETHER BUT ALSO FINISH THEIR COMMITED WORK SCHEDULES. IF YOU ARE A TKKR READING THIS, MAYBE ASK TAE TO FIND SOME JOB ABROAD, SCHEDULE IT IN THE COUNTRY JENNIE IS CURRENTLY IN AND TRAVEL THERE BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY HE CAN HAVE A FOREIGN TRIP WITH HIS GF AS HE ALREADY STARTED MS PROCESS. IF YOU ARE AN INSECURE JKKR/ JKKR COSPLAYING AS TKKR/ HOMOPHOBE... PLEASE RESPECTFULLY F OFF 🙏🏾
3. DOES THESE SHITWIPES THINK IF THEY TRAVELED A WEEK TO JAPAN THEY CANT TRAVEL TO ANY OTHER PLACES, TOGETHER OR ALONE, ANYMORE ? NOPE... JIMIN AND JK ARE BOTH VERY IN DEMAND.. MOST SUCCESSFUL BTS SOLOISTS, UNLIKE YOUR FAVS WHO COULDNT EVEN CRACK A TOP 50 IN BB, WHO HAVE MULTIPLE COMMITMENTS EVERY DAY. JK WAS WORKING NON STOP FOR MONTHS AND JM WAS LITERALLY FILMING TILL THE DAY HE LEFT FOR JAPAN WITH LOVE OF HIS LIFE. AND GUESS WHAT? THEY STILL CHOSE TO TRAVEL WHEN THEY COULD.
4. ONCE THEY COME BACK TO SEOUL, THEY'LL BE BACK TO VERY HECTIC SCHEDULES, PROBABLY EVEN MORE HECTIC. NO, THEY ARENT GONNA SIT BACK AND CHILL LIKE SOME OF YOU ALL THINK. THEY ARE FILMING CONTENTS FOR COMING 2 YEARS...JM IS WORKING ON A MV AS FAR AS WE KNOW, DOING PHOTOSHOOTS, FILMING FOR DIOR AND TIFF... WHILE JK IS HAVING HIS OWN SCHEDULES ABROAD AND IN KOREA... BOTH OF THEM WILL BE TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY ACCORDING TO THEIR SCHEDULES. MAYBE THIS IS THE ONLY WEEK THEY ARE BOTH FREE SO THEY CHOSE TO SPEND IT TOGETHER. UNLIKE YOUR JOBLESS ASS, THEY ARE BUSY.
5. THEY ARE FILMING TRAVEL VLOGS IN JAPAN WHICH IS EDITED TO JUST 20 MIN EPISODES SO YOU ARENT GONNA SEE HOW THEY SPEND THEIR WHOLE DAY IN JAPAN LIKE THE LOVELY COUPLE THEY ARE. THEY COULD BE HUG IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, MAKE OUT IN A CLUB, FUCK IN THEIR HOTEL ROOM.... AND ALL WE WILL BE SEEING IS A 20 MIN EPISODE OF THEM PLAYING IN SNOW, SNOWBOARDING, CHATTING RANDOM THINGS AND EATING. THEY COULD ALSO BE FILMING MULTIPLE SOLO GIGS TOO... IF THATS WHAT YOUR DOUBTS ARE. THEY CAN FILM A DANCE PERFORMANCE, PROBABLY ATTEND MAMA, DO A PHOTOSHOOT OR WHATEVER THEIR JOB IS. UNLIKE YOUR UNLOVED SELFS... THEY HAVE LOT OF LOVE TO EACH OTHER BUT AT THE SAME TIME ARE PROFESSIONALS.
6. AFTER THEM SPENDING TIME WITH EACH OTHER, AFTER THEY FINISH THEIR WORK COMMITMENTS... PROBABLY A WEEK OR 2 BEFORE ENLISTMENT, THEY'LL GO TO THEIR HOMETOWN... MEET THEIR PARENTS, FREINDS AND FAMILY AND SPEND TIME WITH THEM. I KNOW YOU ALL CANT RELATE AS YOU ALL DOESNT HAVE A LOVING FAMILY OR REAL FREINDS...SINCE ALL YOU HAVE TIME FOR IS TO DRAG AN INNOCENT BOY BECAUSE HE'S DATING YOUR FAV.
7. THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF TAKING YOUR STINKY ASSES HERE TO WHINE BECAUSE YOU ALL DIDNT GOT WHAT YOU WANTED. JKKRS KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING, JKK DO THEIR THING, YOUR FAVS DO THEIR OWN THINGS... NO ONE REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR WHINNINGS... MAYBE GO AND OVERDOSE LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO WHEN YOU SEE JKK, MAYBE JUMP OFF FROM A CLIFF OR ADMIT YOURSELF TO ASSYLUM. NOTHING WILL CHANGE THE WORLD, JIMIN, JUNGKOOK, THEIR RELATIONSHIP, THEIR CAREER OR THEIR FANS.
I hope I put some kind of light in to your non existent braincells. Now take your stupid self from here... you look like an unwanted trash bag here.
Dear sky, please don't censor anything 🙏🏾... I really want everything to pierce through their eyes and brains if they have any 🙂 And just post this whenever they come back with any new discoveries or theories lol.. I've included almost everything I can.. let them get mad when they aren't getting the attention and answer from you everytime.
Hello,
Your time to shine because the haters are back!
I'll just keep reblogging this over and over.
Thank you for sharing these FACTS!

when you say some members will not because no clear identity outside of bts, who are you referring to?
As someone who loves all the members, The only member I can think of that might not make it as far as others as a soloist is maybe Jin.
Not for lack of talent or skills, but because he doesn't seem like he wants it? He seems very content being part of the group. Maybe in the far future he'd so more fun shows like RUN Jin, or maybe he'd try out other things, but he doesn't seem as interested pursuing music specifically as. soloist. He's working on his album and I might eb completely wrong, but even so far with everything he's been putting out, he doesn't seem the most comfortable with all the additional things that comes with being a soloist. He doesn't seem at all comfortable with the attention being on him alone.
JK sometimes gives me that impression a bit, especially in interviews (as does Jimin) but he's able to bounce out of it and is very interested in becoming a global artist (as he's said), and is very well known as a soloist around the world now, so I do see him being able to do this alone long term. Though based on things he's said, he might not enjoy doing it on his own long term.
Jimin is very marketable, especially in the West and is a great dancer with a big fandom, although I also think he's not the most interested in being a soloist long term. He's very introverted and unsure in all his solo activities, and maybe that's just me, but outside of Like Crazy, I've yet to see a a change in terms of creativity for his solo work. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but I guess since both albums involved so many of the same people as BTS albums, that's why I'm getting that vibe. That could change, in the future though.
Now for Rap Line, I think every single one of them are open to the idea and all of them are very likely to be successful. They all seem very interested in pursuing genres and themes outside of the music BTS as a group puts out. All their solo works indicate this.
RM puts out banger after banger (doesn't get the deserved promo or hype, he deserves so much better) but I do see him succeeding and doing well if he focuses on making music to the audience that would actually appreciate it.
Yoongi did phenomenal with his tour. he seems like he can roll with the punches and do anything he sets his mind too. he has a clear identity as a soloist and always has. He even has people wanting him to pursue acting, and of all the members, he's definitely one of the ones to succeed at that.
Hobi also knows what he's doing. he knows what messages he wants to share and what themes he wants to pursue. His phenomenal street dancing also helps and his lalapalooza performance was a major success. This isn't even going into his photoshoots and interest in the fashion industry.
All rapline have been creating projects as soloists for years, longer than BTS has been in the mainstream. They're less uncomfortable with being in the spotlight alone, more like they'd enjoy the challenge and enjoy the change.
For Tae, he's been doing projects outside of bighit for years too. Pursuing genres that others ( as well as BTS as a group). He definitely would also love the opportunity to share the messages he wants, with the genres and tone he wants. He has a creative mind. Outside of that, he's clearly the most interested and involved in the fashion industries, not to mention his interests in photography and acting. I definitely see him (other than young who hasn't exposed actual interest) success as an actor as well as as a singer. He'll build a loyal fanbase that appreciates him for his craft even if it's isn't trendy or pop.
so yeah, I can see some members not have a clear identity outside of bts, but that could come with time, Jin seems to be the only one I can personally see who might not pursue music specifically as a soloist.
What were your thoughts? Who were you thinking about?
(please ignoring grammar and spelling errors lol)
Hi! I actually agree on most of the things you said, this was a great insight!!
I think Jin doesn’t have a clear identity outside of bts, and not just because he hasn’t debuted as a soloist yet but also because if I think about Jin as an artist without bts, not many things come to my mind. His solos through the years, always playing safe with ballads. I’m sorry he doesn’t wanna pursue acting anymore (and I can’t even blame him, hybe and the ot7 agenda probably made him lose all interest).
This is gonna be so controversial, but I also think Hobi shines more in the group that ouside the group, and he does have his identity, his perfect skills and everything but I just think outside the group he wouldn’t have much longevity.
Agreed with Namjoon and Yoongi.
Jimin well, no clear identity outside of BTS, he shines much better in the group than outside the group. Even though he got pushed in the west, I still think he would rather play safe and stay in the group than venturing in a solo career, I don’t see longevity here either.
With Jk I’m a bit in the middle, he knows what he wants outside of bts and he knows what kind of artist he wanna be and what kind of music he wanna produce, but I also think he’s very veeeery attached to the group and would be bored performing alone in the long run. Could be wrong. I think he also takes too much into consideration what armys may think of him.
We all know what I think of Taehyung. To this day, the idol with the clearest identity outside their group.

I think Jin is the ultimate proof that marketing or narratives matter so much to people that they will disregard things they see with their own two eyes just to nod along to prevailing sentiment
Taehyung is the member i dislike the most in BTS so this isnt an emotional bias and yes he's had some hairline work done compared to Jin who I think has almost no surgical procedures done but I still think objectively he's ten times more attractive than Jin. However armys (outside Tae biased) will swear to you that Jin is the ultimate visual. Same thing with Hobi and Jimin regarding dance.
It's not that Jin isn't handsome or Hobi isn't a good dancer but people need to be fr. Hobis dances never go viral like Jimin's. Same for Jins visuals compared to Taehyung. First time BTS fans who haven't been mind rotted yet would all say that. Similar to what you said, I find Jins visuals so cold and lacking any kind of - well to be crude - sex appeal or it factor. He's a bit ken doll-ish. Which is fine! It's not a failing in any way. It's just annoying when people try to tell me that Jin is somehow the greatest visual when in practice I only see people mostly thirsting over the maknae line or writing odes to Jimin and Tae's faces but yeah Jin and the other members told us he's the most handsome so it must be true. Just like they told us Hobi is the best dancer 🙄
Amis are too susceptible to hybes marketing and mediaplay. "JK is the most successful member". "BTS have a lot of power in hybe because they are shareholders". I wish people could be more honest and objective and look at actual evidence instead of following whatever they're told
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But also, calling yourself Worldwide handsome and reinforcing an aesthetic superiority upon yourself, works. Branding works, promotion and narratives works, that how the world is.
J-hope IS a great dancer and performer, and Jin IS objectively very handsome, especially for Korean standards. But they are forgettable, they don’t cause abrupt sensations. I would describe their individual brand as pleasant. A skilled dancer and a comfortable package to look at, its safe and true. What I think both lack from our perspective, because they have fans and they sure see something that we don’t, is charisma. That “can’t stop looking at you” feeling, bordering on becoming obsession is what Jimin has that no one will ever be able to replicate.
Jungkook is perceived as hot, and he is exploiting it now more than ever. But he also is pretty engaging with fans, he knows how to keep audiences entertained doing just silly things ( I am talking about his lives and reactions to things). He is a walking meme and armys love that.
Taehyung, the idol, looks like a real life video game/anime character. His features are striking and make a lot of people spill poetry because is what he causes. He is a stirring person, he makes people talk…except for his music, which is very unfortunate.
Armys are not only susceptible to Hybes Marketing, they were fundamentally built to be that way and to never question what members say. Members words are sacred and that is very convenient because it gives the company and the group a certain sense of control of what they would like to be and what they sell. That’s not bad, is business. But what you can try but not always succeed with is having a 100% control of public perception, and that’s how Jimin comes and disrupts. His role and how he should be perceived, and this is micro level still because he is only building his solo fandom and soloist brand and that takes time and investment, but the thing is that he has the ability to draw attention, you can’t stop looking at him, he fucking shines, and I am not even talking as her fan, I was an army, I have seen how he is perceived by social media or the fandom and he is not someone that you can cast aside. He just has it, and it can’t be learned. You learn how to be charming, you don’t learn how to be charismatic, you born with it.
You see people gushing about maknae line and it’s because they are damn good products, and pardon my deshumanizing way of expressing myself, but I am talking about the idol persona, not the human behind. I am talking about the marketable side. And it’s not about beauty or talent because we see how the firstly mentioned members are, but at the same time, they are not.

I think you shoud open your eyes. Tae is at the same level of Jimin, he is even better (I mean, more popular). Jk broke all Jimin's records, Jk is more successful than Jimin and Tae will follow Jk path. Tae has already that record on youtube, his album will get more sales than Face, I think he will break Jimin's debut on spotify. Also, Tae has more fans. So army have to choose, they will always choose Tae and not Jimin
You think?
Taehyung may have more album sales since Hybe deleted 750k+ Jimin’s sales and his album can be No1 on Billboard 200. He may have fastest album to reach 100, 200,… million because he has 2 songs released 4 weeks before. Also 2 versions of his title song won’t be split.
But he won’t be No1 on Billboard, I think even in top10. Just because he is the most popular on social media, it doesn’t mean he is the most successful soloist. He isn’t on Jimin’s level.
Each member has his own records, now JK broke all Jimin’s records because of the biggest push, but Jungkook and Jimin had the most records since the very beginning and their songs are the most liked outside of the fandom, that’s why I say they are both the most successful soloists. Taehyung could have their numbers only with a western collab.
Armys will always choose Taehyung, they dropped Jimin a long time ago, but Jimin has dedicated fans who love him.
