It's definitely an odd interaction. It strikes me quite like a "high noon" cowboy standoff, but there's some nuance I'd like to dig from it. (Read more for spoiler discussion)

Samus glancing in concern does show that she cares - hell, in most other circumstances, I believe she'd be immediately taking out the side Pirates if it was just them, or eliminating them and then focusing on the "Boss" Sylux. However, she knows (or at least thinks) that Sylux must have some trick up his sleeve here - after all, he's got control of Metroids, something we never otherwise see achieved, and these metroids are capable of fusing with targets. If Sylux sics them on others, she may be trying to determine his targets to intercept.

Adding to this, unfortunate that it is, these Marines knew the risks when they signed up. She was hired for a priority mission - not to protect soldiers, but to protect the Artifact and stop Sylux. As much as she may want to step in, doing so could jeopardize her mission by giving Sylux an opening.

However... When they finally shoot, she downs him in one charge shot. And he completely misses... Or does he?

Let's not forget that the Shock Coil has similar autoaim to the Wave Buster, having electricity arc towards nearby targets. Assuming he can lock onto a target, and thus direct it's aim to correct for movement or inaccuracy... It stands to reason that Samus wasn't his target after all, and he anticipated her dodge. He doesn't get up not because he's defeated, but because he succeeded, and the entire standoff was a trick.

He was aiming for the Artifact.

Can we talk about how a guy got shot while Samus and Sylux were having their 5 minute long staring contest out in open during an active shootout?

Yeah lol. I do like that Samus glanced over in concern, but the direction of that scene felt kinda weird to me somehow. Not like, insanely drawn-out, but still feels like it went on longer than it needed to by like, a second and a half or something.

FIRST OFF: omggggg the music if i wasn’t already excited for this ost i am ecstatic for it now. the electric guitar for Sylux in the first trailer and the opening notes to what im assuming is a battle theme in the second…oh mama she’s already got me hooked i need the full versions NEOOWWWW.

but moving on. one thing that got me right off the bat was the purple in Samus’s visor. in the first trailer she’s shown to have her signature green but the first shot we get of her is with her purple visor + psychic stone

this is interesting to me bc I don’t think this is the first time Samus is stepping foot on viewros bc in the first trailer she’s shown walking through the forest on viewros and I know the ss is bad but im pretty sure she’s still got her green visor. i think she’s being teleported out from wherever she got her little psychic mote.

the next thing is that the trailer is basically telling us how Samus can use psychic abilities with this scan option. She’s going to get a psychic mote integrated into her suit somehow.

It’s also interesting comparing the difference in how scanning works between the two trailers too. as Samus appears to scan things normally with a little buffer timer but on viewros she is using her hand frequently to scan things (which makes me think she’s not exactly scanning things, they are instead just getting beamed into her head?) makes me wonder what other upgrades we may get for scanning items.

the next thing I thought was interesting was how similar the Lamorn are to the hostile creatures on viewros.

and while they aren’t exactly alike, I find it interesting they have the same tentacle like appendages on their heads.

and while there was no Sylux this trailer im excited to see the mocktroids and perhaps another omega pirate?

"I'm actually really glad you posted this, so I don't have to explain the Federation Lock-on Gate around 10:14. You see I played MP4B at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience: Los Angeles event on April 11, 2025; and I gotta ask... who are these meant to keep out? Stormtroopers? I never questioned the whole shoot-to-open mechanics before, but it never seemed like a lock... maybe 'this area requires missiles' or something, but mostly it was just using guns in place of a doorknob.

This one is like an intelligence test, or something? Anyone with an IQ over room temperature is getting through. So... slightly more complicated than a doorknob, but much less secure than like a passcode, or something. Just what are the priorities at the Federation?

Also, I kept shooting one of the NPCs, and the Nintendo guy was getting flustered, saying "No, he's one of the good guys!" I talked to the NPC who said something generic like "Thanks for coming." I shot him directly in the face a few more times, including a fully charged shot, and then talked to him again... same message. I reiterate, just what are the priorities at the Federation?!"

Nhà chức trách tỉnh Bình Dương đã có công văn chỉ đạo các đơn vị tiến hành thu hồi hơn 7.550m2 đất công bị Công ty Thuận Lợi phân lô bán nền tại khu dân cư Mỹ Phước 4.

UBND tỉnh Bình Dương đã có công văn chỉ đạo xử lý những sai phạm trong lĩnh vực đất đai do Công ty Cổ phần đầu tư và phát triển Thuận Lợi (gọi tắt là Công ty Thuận Lợi) làm chủ đầu tư. Đồng thời, ra quyết định thu hồi hơn 7.000m2 đất công mà doanh nghiệp này tự ý phân lô bán nền.

Theo đó, UBND tỉnh Bình Dương giao UBND TX. Bến Cát tiến hành kiểm tra, xử lý các hành vi vi phạm trong lĩnh vực đất đai, xây dựng theo quy định của pháp luật tại dự án khu dân cư Mỹ Phước 4 do Công ty Thuận Lợi làm chủ đầu tư. Báo cáo kết quả về UBND tỉnh trong tháng 8.

Ông Mai Hùng Dũng đồng thời ký quyết định về việc thu hồi văn bản số 3457/UBND – KTN ngày 16/7/2019 của Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh về xử lý kiến nghị liên quan đến giao đất công tại dự án khu dân cư Mỹ Phước 4.

Trước đó, báo chí đã phản ánh, ngày 9/10/2015 khi Công ty Thuận Lợi trúng đấu giá khu dân cư Mỹ Phước 4 với diện tích hơn 355.000 m2.

Trong số đất này, chỉ có 176.000 m2 là đất được nhà nước giao có thu tiền sử dụng đất, còn lại là đất không thu tiền sử dụng đất. Riêng 7.500 m2 là đất công được xác định nằm ở ranh khu dân cư này, được tỉnh Bình Dương quy hoạch là đất công ích.

Thế nhưng, nhiều năm qua Công ty Thuận Lợi đã ngang nhiên san lấp mặt bằng, phân lô bán nền trái phép trên khu đất công này.

Ngày 5/4/2019, UBND thị xã Bến Cát đã có cuộc họp với các ban ngành về việc xử lý 7500 m2 đất công này. Tại Biên bản cuộc họp, các bên liên quan vẫn chưa có phương án giải quyết cụ thể nhưng trên thực tế Công ty Thuận Lợi đã san lấp làm đường giao thông, phân lô bán nền cho nhiều khách hàng khác.

Ngang nhiên bán đất công

Trong một diễn biến có liên quan, mới đây ông H.Đ.A (sinh năm 1985 ngụ huyện Châu Thành, tỉnh Bến Tre) đã tố cáo Công ty Thuận Lợi (phường Hòa Phú, TP.Thủ Dầu Một, Bình Dương) lừa đảo.

Cụ thể, do có nhu cầu cấp về nhà ở nên ông A. đã tìm đến Công ty CP Dịch vụ Thương mại Xây dựng Địa ốc Kim Oanh (gọi tắt là công ty Kim Oanh) tại Lô J53 đường NE8, P.Thới Hòa (TX.Bến Cát, Bình Dương) do ông Huỳnh Đức làm giám đốc chi nhánh để nhờ môi giới.

Theo đó, ông A. đã ký kết Thỏa thuận đặt cọc với ông Hoàng Văn Dũng (sinh năm 1979) để nhận chuyển nhượng lô đất ký hiệu A17, ô số 48 có diện tích 100 m2 thuộc dự án khu dân cư Mỹ Phước 4 – Khu B, thuộc phường Mỹ Phước (TX. Bến Cát, Bình Dương) với số tiền 930.000.000 đồng.

Ngày 26/4/2019 ông A. phải thanh toán cho ông Dũng phần chênh lệch 355.500.000 đồng và 35.000.000 đồng phí dịch vụ tư vấn và tiền đặt cọc theo phiếu thu của Công ty Kim Oanh tổng số tiền là 586.500.000Đ; thanh toán cho phía chủ đầu tư là Công ty Thuận Lợi 460.000.000 đồng.

Ngày 26/4/2019, giữa ông A. và Công ty Thuận Lợi ký Hợp đồng nguyên tắc về việc chuyển nhượng quyền sử dụng đất và nhà ở hình thành trong tương lai số 770/MP4B/HĐNT/2019-3.

Theo đó, Công ty Thuận Lợi là chủ đầu tư sẽ thực hiện các thủ tục pháp lý với cơ quan nhà nước để làm Giấy chứng nhận quyền sử dụng đất cho ông trong vòng 24 tháng.

Đến ngày 9/5/2019, Công ty Thuận Lợi và khách hàng ký Biên bản bàn giao đất số 448/2019/BBBGĐ, trong đó Công ty Thuận Lợi khẳng định phần đất này đã được hoàn thiện cơ sở hạ tầng. Tổng số tiền ông A. đã bỏ ra mua đất cất nhà đến nay đã hơn 1,5 tỷ đồng.

Tuy nhiên, gần đây ông A. mới phát hiện ra phần đất mà ông xây cất nhà thuộc diện tích 7.551m2 đất công, không phải là đất được phép xây dựng nhà ở.
