The edible had a fucking delayed fuse and hit me while I was conjugating Spanish verbs hiiii
#man i don’t know how i made it through that textbook chapter i was UNREASONABLY confused#if you’d been watching me you’d be forgiven for thinking i’d never heard of verbs or adjectives before#in my defence they did put -ar verb conjugation; gender agreement and a fuckload of adjectives all in one chapter#i was fighting for my life#i really need a system for keeping track of the verbs i have learned and their conjugations#would a spreadsheet be overkill? i know there’ll be one of those out there but like#i’ll remember it better if i make my own#i could download a spreadsheet of 2000 spanish verbs and i’d never look at it genuinely#i’m thinking one sheet per category. -ar -ir -er and irregular. The vast stretches of lone trees and wild grass of the rural countryside lures the ego overboard, pulling consciousness off course into addiction, delusion and seduction’s disintegrating madness. You barely pull yourself home from there every evening, the sun telling your time, the birds your weather forecast. One day you might not return home at all.
From the Mud is a Midwest gothic inspired horror romance set in a solitary countryside occupied only by two small towns and stretches of untamed nature. You play a troubled cowboy/girl/puncher who‘s ground deep into a maddening, repetitive routine that a string of deaths suddenly upends. The sheriff of the neighboring town along with a driven journalist and an old friend whose bridge you’ve long since burnt comes to town having heard the news. As you’re hunting for the culprit and running from yourself, your quiet life on the ranch is disturbed, forcing you to keep your cards close and choose your company carefully. But the most pressing matter proves to be whether you can trust your own mind.
From the Mud
☆ Interactive fictional psychological horror written in choice script

Lose touch with reality and slowly question everything around you
Remember: you have to choose to get better

Advisory for the story so far: death, gore, profanity, substances
Basics about some of the important RO characters and other below
The Sheriff ☆ Zachariah “Zach” Mallory ☆ a man in his mid thirties
Sheriff Mallory works from his office in Two Rocks, and though his occupation means working closely with other people and seeing to their needs, it would be indolent to describe him as being good with people. At all. Being abrasive and ill-natured, the man does, however, suit the role of authority well. When the angry crease on his forehead soften, you might find there is something else within his tired eyes.
The sheriff has dark brown, chin-length hair and a matching little effort short beard. His sand-colored skin is sun-kissed from being outside, the circles under his eyes almost a purple kind of shade. Under a heavy set of brows sits a pair of dark blue, almost stormy gray eyes. Standing at an imposing height, Mallory is nigh refused anything, and can’t be forced to wear the ugly uniform his rank requires. Instead, he sports a simple white fitted t-shirt and a pair of well-loved denim jeans.
The Journalist ☆ Candy Tillman ☆ a woman in her early thirties
Working for the local news station in Two Rocks, Ms. Tillman has through work experience and excellent mentoring from her predessessor become a hound chasing stories and truths. She is both idealistic and romanticizing (that which shouldn’t), and yet entirely unsusceptable to bullshit. When her facade falters who will accept her then?
The woman with the sweetest name has blonde hair that falls to the middle of her shoulder blades, which she loves to blowout. Her tan skin is contoured by a natural style of makeup, her small, light blue eyes painted. Candy is average height, reaching taller stature with her go-to minimalist pumps. The journalist prefers simple, feminine silhouttes of clothing, keeping up with the times.
The Best Friend ☆ Blythe Abel Goodwin ☆ a woman in her mid twenties
Blythe is your best friend who you grew up with in Ashley and who stuck around when everyone left, though you know she would’ve loved to leave just as much as you once did. In response to the death of her dreams and the narrow-minded opinions of the general inhabitation of the area, she has defiantly become a person of unique and unpredictable character. You’ve known each other through thick and thin, but is there a side to her yet to be discovered?
Your childhood friend is a contrast-filled woman just under average height. Long, black, cascading hair falls from her head down to her mid-back. Choppily home-cut bangs frame her small face. Her fair skin turns rosy in the cold. Blythe’s almond eyes that are sometimes obscured by a pair of reading glasses, are hazel. She wears whatever the fuck she wants.
The Colleague ☆ Ford Wiley Mallory ☆ a man in his early twenties
Ford Wiley is the younger half-brother of Sheriff Mallory and your colleague on the ranch. Working there only half-time, the younger Mallory is dedicated and driven only in the field of his passion; music. His band has only ever played at the local bar, though. Reserved and perhaps somewhat more thin-skinned than most living out on the countryside, Wiley makes do with refreshing optimism. Whether this optimism is genuine or fabricated is yet to be revealed.
Your part-time cowboy coworker has long, wavy brown hair that he sometimes makes an effort to style, and otherwise lets it live its own life. He and his half-brother have little in common, appearance included; Wiley has olive skin covered in freckles. His eyes are dark brown, and he is of average height. The musician’s clothes consist of unwanted (by himself) hand-me-downs from Zachariah and ill-gotten items.
The Old Friend ☆ Sawyer “Saw” Brennan ☆ a gender selectable person in their late twenties (m/f)
You grew up with Sawyer along with Blythe, and the three of you braved your childhood and youth in this godforsaken place for years. But they left when things got hardest, and you haven’t been able to get past it even after all these years. Over the years Sawyer has been away they’ve grown into a person you barely know anymore, and you struggle with their sudden return. Will you be able to understand and forgive them for leaving?
Sawyer has inky brown curly hair, worn long (f) or short (m) and loose, carefully taken care of and styled. They have warm brown skin and sharp eyes to match. Your old friend is tall, fitting their frame into oversized graphic t-shirts and either color matched sweats or baggy jeans.
My intentions with this game: It is not supposed to be a beautiful story, it is supposed to be ugly. Writing this game in the way I am is my taking a step away from perfection and seeing where my unpolished writing takes the story. I have been ruled by fear of inadequacy and a desire for ‘perfect timing’ long enough. If I continue to wait for the ‘right moment’ to create, I will end up not creating at all. My only desire now is to simply create, and continue doing so until I have something to show for it.
Story is written and coded by me
Credits to Cole Meanor for the beautiful photography done for the headers!

Start Me Up: 30 years of Windows 95 - @commodorez and @ms-dos5
Okay, last batch of photos from our exhibit, and I wanted to highlight a few details because so much planning and preparation went into making this the ultimate Windows 95 exhibit. And now you all have to hear about it.
You'll note software boxes from both major versions of Windows 95 RTM (Release To Manufacturing, the original version from August 24, 1995): the standalone version "for PCs without Windows", and the Upgrade version "for users of Windows". We used both versions when setting up the machines you see here to show the variety of install types people performed. My grandpa's original set of install floppies was displayed in a little shadowbox, next to a CD version, and a TI 486DX2-66 microprocessor emblazoned with "Designed for Microsoft Windows 95".

The machines on display, from left to right include:
Chicago Beta 73g on a custom Pentium 1 baby AT tower
Windows 95 RTM on an AST Bravo LC 4/66d desktop
Windows 95 RTM on a (broken) Compaq LTE Elite 4/75cx laptop
Windows 95 OSR 1 on an Intertel Pentium 1 tower
Windows 95 OSR 1 on a VTEL Pentium 1 desktop
Windows 95 OSR 2 on a Toshiba Satellite T1960CT laptop
Windows 95 OSR 2 on a Toshiba Libretto 70CT subnotebook
Windows 95 OSR 2 on an IBM Thinkpad 760E laptop
Windows 95 OSR 2.5 on a custom Pentium II tower (Vega)

That's alot of machines that had to be prepared for the exhibit, so for all of them to work (minus the Compaq) was a relief. Something about the trip to NJ rendered the Compaq unstable, and it refused to boot consistently. I have no idea what happened because it failed in like 5 different steps of the process.
The SMC TigerHub TP6 nestled between the Intertel and VTEL served as the network backbone for the exhibit, allowing 6 machines to be connected over twisted pair with all the multicolored network cables. However, problems with PCMCIA drivers on the Thinkpad, and the Compaq being on the blink meant only 5 machines were networked. Vega was sporting a CanoScan FS2710 film scanner connected via SCSI, which I demonstrated like 9 times over the course of the weekend -- including to LGR!
Game controllers were attached to computers where possible, and everything with a sound card had a set of era-appropriate speakers. We even picked out a slew of mid-90s mouse pads, some of which were specifically Windows 95 themed. We had Zip disks, floppy disks, CDs full of software, and basically no extra room on the tables. Almost every machine had a different screensaver, desktop wallpaper, sound scheme, and UI theme, showing just how much was user customizable.
@ms-dos5 made a point to have a variety of versions of Microsoft Office products on the machines present, meaning we had everything from stand-alone copies of Word 95 and Excel 95, thru complete MS Office 95 packages (standard & professional), MS Office 97 (standard & professional), Publisher, Frontpage, & Encarta.
We brought a bunch of important books about 95 too:
The Windows Interface Guidelines for Software Design
Microsoft Windows 95 Resource Kit
Hardware Design Guide for Windows 95
Inside Windows 95 by Adrian King
Just off to the right, stacked on top of some boxes was an Epson LX-300+II dot matrix printer, which we used to create all of the decorative banners, and the computer description cards next to each machine. Fun fact -- those were designed to mimic the format and style of 95's printer test page! We also printed off drawings for a number of visitors, and ended up having more paper jams with the tractor feed mechanism than we had Blue Screen of Death instances.

In fact, we only had 3 BSOD's total, all weekend, one of which was expected, and another was intentional on the part of an attendee.

We also had one guy install some shovelware/garbageware on the AST, which caused all sorts of errors, that was funny!
Thanks for coming along on this ride, both @ms-dos5 and I appreciate everyone taking the time to enjoy our exhibit.

It's now safe to turn off your computer.

Beast Hyde I love mix my two hyperfixations, and I had a fun time doing this. UwU I appreciate so much you liked this crossover ✨🧡
So, what can I say about this? ✨SILLY LORE TIME✨
I think Rachel in this au plays the roles of Lumiere and Ms. Potts, both at the same time, because she is very bossy and protective as a mother hen, but she can be an excellent hostess with Robert. She will prepare Hyde for the dance scene. This time they were childhood friends, because he needed her to have known Jekyll before he became corrupt, and to give her reasons to defend him and believe that her friend can be a good man again.
Jasper is a wolf because I weren't lose the chance to draw a little of him in his wolf form :3, I put him in a similar role he originally had in the comic, someone who listen, and be simpathetic and empathic, but he´s ferocious to control Hyde when he goes angry and let his insticts take over him. He entered the castle as a royal guard and met the prince advisor, Rachel, and they eventually fell in love. They formalized something during the time they were cursed, he carries her on his back and she warms him when he gets too cold.
And Hyde, well, it's the main course! Before being cursed, he had been the cunning and selfish Prince Henry Jekyll, who manipulated other nobles with his silver tongue and charming appearance, to increase his power and influences (Basically, Jekyll, but instead he is evil and greedy :p) Then all that power turned him into someone who thinks he can do whatever he wants (wink, wink). One winter night, at one of those vile balls he had organized for his pleasure and comfort, an old homeless woman came up and offered him everything she had, a small rose… And you know the story. Jekyll rejected the rose and laughed at the homeless woman, humiliating her. She saw that he had no kindness or true love in his heart and she transforms into a beautiful Enchantress. And she said: "You always act like a predator, waiting for your next victim, stalking for sport, and the only person you care about is yourself. Now, you will be a real predator… LIKE A BEAST" 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 AAAA SO MUCH TEXT This info could be change, I apologize if I had a thypos or bad redaction, i´m not used to writte large texts on the road, but thank you for read all.

Well, what a good month for reading August has been! A few days off can make such a difference!
As always I'll try and tag the writers whose Tumblr username I know, so they know they are loved!
If your fiction is on this recommendation list and you'd rather I take it off the list, or if you know a writer who's on this list would rather not be, please let me know and I'll remove their fiction immediately.
I have really enjoyed these fictions, including not one but two Christmas stories. In August. Because, why not? i hope you'll love them too!
August's Awesome Fictions
WIPs:
Wavelengths & Frequencies by imposterssyndrome @maaikeatthefullmoon and shades_of_eccles_cakes @shadesofecclescakes (rated E, chapters 5/?)
I'm absolutely loving this enemies-to-lovers human AU where Crowley and Aziraphale are radio DJs. They loathe each other. They also can't stop thinking about each other! Of course they end up working for the same media corporation. The humour in this story is sharp and clever, and the characterisation is excellent! It's updated every Monday and honestly the only problem I have with this story is that I receive the notification email on a Monday morning and need to wait until at least the end of the working day to dive in!
You're The Bad Guys by Nebz_AlphaCentauri @alphacentaurinebula(rated E, chapters 8/?)
Human AU set in the Cold War. Aziraphale is an MI6 agent, Crowley is a KGB agent. They're assigned to the same mission in Berlin by their respective head offices. This story is full of suspense! I love the characterisation of our heroes and each chapter leaves me wanting for more! Updated every Friday.
My own WIP And I Did (rated E, chapters 6/13)
A post season 2 fiction where Aziraphale is Supreme Archangel and Crowley is Grand Duke Of Hell.
In my not-a-summary I say that this is a story about faith, about love, and about choices. Which is true. But I have come to think of it also as my apology dance to Crowley. My headcanon about Aziraphale has always been clear and my first fiction was me sharing that headcanon basically. I wasn't as sure about what Crowley would do after the final 15 as I was about what Aziraphale’s motives were. I didn't see Crowley drinking himself oblivious or taking a road of self destruction. But I didn't know what he would do. So I skipped that part and started that fiction from after the failed second coming, but still I didn't think I did Crowley justice. Then it hit me, and that was when I started writing And I Did. I knew what Crowley would do. Crowley would do what Crowley does. And what does Crowley do best? This is a story about faith, about love, and about choices. I try to update every weekend, but I might not be as reliable as I’d like!
Complete stories:
The Truth About Plants & Queen by ShortInsomniac98 (rated E, 11353 words)
Human AU where Crowley hosts a night radio program and Aziraphale calls in. I love how their relationship develops in this story and I loved to see a friendly side of Gabriel! (And I mean Gabriel!)
The Anon Before Christmas by @foolishlovers (rated E, 66732 words)
Ah. Where to begin. Every now and then, you read a fiction that just makes you feel at home. Makes you feel like you’re in safe hands. Like you’re in for a real treat. This absolute gem has very quickly become my favourite human AU. For several reasons. The characterisation of the two main characters is absolutely spot on. I could hear Crowley talking in DT’s Crowley voice and see him moving in DT’s Crowley way, and I could hear Aziraphale talking in MS’s Aziraphale voice and see him moving in MS’s Aziraphale way. The pace of the development of their relationship from enemies to lovers is just perfect. It’s told from Crowley’s POV and you can see how his perspective changes as the story progresses, but the writer is so good that Aziraphale’s change of perspective shows perfectly through Crowley’s POV too. The array of side characters is so good that it actually pains me to call them side characters. I wrote in one of my comments to the fiction that I will forever adore this story’s Bee, and I meant it, but Newt and Ana are equally fantastic (and I loved the other cameos too!). Also, and this is especially important to me, this story is as much a love story between Crowley and Aziraphale as it is a story of true friendship among all the characters. They look after each other, they have each other’s back, they support each other. I am so lucky and privileged to be able to see myself represented in that aspect of the story. Last but not least, this fiction doesn't overstay its welcome one bit. You are happy about how everyone ended up, but still could read more. It’s like you are part of the gang and want to know what your friends are up to. Everything in this story was perfect. I realise I haven’t mentioned what the plot is about, but hopefully by now you might want to find out for yourself!
Planes, Trains & The Apocalypse by walking_contradiction42 (rated teen, 32382 words)
Human AU where Crowley and Aziraphale meet on a plane on their way to Tadfield (via London) for Christmas. Crowley can't stand Aziraphale and only wants as uneventful a journey home as possible. Ha!
I understand there’s a film with a similar title, you definitely don't need to have watched the film in order to enjoy this lovely fiction.
The Bookseller And The Garden by oceantears (rated teen, 13668 words)
Fluff, fluff, fluff! Canon divergent fiction where Crowley is a demon stationed on earth, Aziraphale is an angel stationed on earth, but they have never met until present day. There's no end of the world in sight, only an angel and a demon falling in love and not knowing how to break it to the other that they're not human. I laughed all the way through.
After The End (part one of Nice And Ominous: A Reluctant Eschatology Of The Second Attempt) by beardo @e-rated-beardo (rated teen, 26086 words)
Crowley learns to cope after Aziraphale goes to heaven, with a little help.from his friends. And from the Bentley. I love the writer’s humour and the conversations between Crowley and the Bentley are hilarious.
Series:
Aziraphale’s Diaries by azzfell, @fellshish
This series is hilarious, warm and fluffy. So far there are four stories, all consisting in, yes you guessed it, Aziraphale’s diary entries. In the first story, Empirical study on the principles of snake care (rated teen, 2048 words), Aziraphale suddenly realises he hasn’t paid enough attention to Crowley snake-y needs. He decides he wants to make up for it. Hilarity ensues. Put your cup of tea down before day 6, trust me. In Experiments of an angel who has read entirely too much fanfic (rated teen, 3064 words), Aziraphale discovers fanfiction shipping him and Crowley and decides he wants to test some of the tropes on the demon. Reading Crowley’s reactions through Aziraphale’s POV lens will make you feel warm inside. Drink down at day 10. In How to be a demon: a brief history of the Arrangement (rated teen, 2663 words), Aziraphale recounts some of the temptations he’d had to do during the years, to honour the arrangement with Crowley. The last entry will make you melt. In Adventures of a mystery shopper in the bookshop (rated teen, 3090 words), Aziraphale is worried that Crowley is getting bored, so he wants to help by giving him something to do. Peeps, for this one don’t even pick your drink up. You’ll end up spitting it all over your laptop/phone/tablet.
One shots:
Keep Digging by Appleseeds (rated teen7068 words)
Human AU. Crowley and Aziraphale work in the same office and Crowley is trying to gather the courage to ask Aziraphale out, only to get cold feet at the last moment. In order to try and save his face, he needs to do what the title says. I howled with laughter. Just put down whatever you’re doing and go read this right now. It’s unbelievably hilarious.
But It’s Pretty by Supergeek21 (rated E, 2544 words)
Aziraphale and Crowley have a conversation on why the Bentley is yellow and why the walls are yellow. Things get deliciously spicy.
You've Got Kudos by curtaincall (rated M, 4128 words)
Aziraphale and Crowley both write Good Omens fanfiction on Ao3. Crowley’s stories are sweet and romantic. Aziraphale’s stories are smutty and spicy. They love each other's stories without knowing who the writer is. This fiction was a treat!
The Corset by smitten_obviously @sabine-smitten-obviously (rated G, 1248 words)
A funny and sweet account of that time in the 17th century when Aziraphale decided to wear a corset. I really loved how sweet Crowley is here, without overdoing it a bit! A little gem.
My own little one shot, Angel! Angel! They're At It Again! (rated M, 5566 words)
It's the year 2030. The world never ended. Aziraphale and Crowley are living happily and safely together as a married couple. Everything would be well, if it wasn't that lately Aziraphale has been a bit busy. A bit distracted. Now, Crowley can't have that, can he? He seeks the advice of his girlfriends, who unwittingly give him an idea on how to liven up his marriage. A fluffy and hopefully funny way to the South Downs cottage.
Poems:
To Wish To Fall by ArchangelRemiel @sassysnakedemon
A lovely and sweet poem that explores different ways of falling.
The Devil's Red Hair by lickthecowhappy
I really loved this very emotional poem! Aziraphale has a little souvenir helping him cope in heaven.

I made a video explaining the very basics on how sprite comics are made! I opted to choose Microsoft Paint because it's a simple program that's easily available on Windows.
If you use macOS, the closest fit would be Paint X, available for like $10. Of course, if you're going to pay for a pixel art tool, Aseprite is much better, and that program has an excellent manual. You could also start an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription to get PhotoShop (or set sail and download a previous version from a fun place).
Free tools are available, like GIMP (because I'm old), Pixelorama, Krita, Paint.net, the list goes on.
Fonts I recommended:
Back Issues
Atkinson Hyperlegible
Transcript below the readmore!
Sprite comics are easy. You just need sprites and an image editing program.
Most comics in the BZPower days were made in MS Paint and they were not fancy-looking comics like mine. Most of them looked like this, and it works very well! In MS Paint, you only need to know two tricks:
The eraser tool has a right-click function that only replaces Color 1 with Color 2. This will help you recolor your sprites.
You can copy and paste sprites as transparent images. Click the dropdown under the selection tool and select "transparent selection" to filter out Color 2.
Here's some bonus advice:
People have huge resolution monitors now, so I recommend doubling your comic's size. In MS Paint, select Resize and then type 200 in the percent field.
The most common mistake is unreadable text. Always pick a font that is easy to read and simple. Opt for a "sans serif" font as they're easier to read than "serif" fonts. Here are two good default pixel fonts:
Small Fonts, size 20
System, size 24
If you don't want to use a pixel font, then you can use Arial or Comic Sans. There are tens of thousands of downloadable fonts, too.
For non-pixel fonts, I'm partial to Atkinson Hyperlegible by the Braille Institute. I also like having a comic book feel to my comics, so I use "Back Issues" by Blambot.
Be sure to pick colors that are easy on the eyes. Like, we can agree that this is kinda harsh. These colors are more gentle. Using gentle colors also makes your more colorful characters pop out.
If you're doing colored text on colored backgrounds, you want a high degree of contrast. Notice that when I apply this Chroma filter, you can see why the text is unpleasant to read; the lightness values shown here are way too close. I can make the background darker and the font brighter to help that.
You should also try to have a system when doing dialogue. People will read top to bottom, left to right. It makes sense for dialog to follow that pattern. If you're going to use lines to indicate who's talking, try to avoid making the lines cross. Plan your dialogue, rearrange the characters if you need to, etc etc.
If you're pressuring yourself and not having fun, then you're ruining it. You don't need translucent word balloons, you don't need fancy custom background art, you don't need to be super witty, and you don't need to obey this video! Just have fun. And send me your Bionicle sprite comics.

6 Key Hardware Components That Power Your Computer

Computers have become an essential part of our daily lives, whether for work, education, or entertainment. But have you ever wondered what makes a computer function smoothly? Understanding the core hardware components is crucial, especially if you're pursuing an Advanced Excel Course in Yamuna Vihar or an Advanced MS Excel Course in Uttam Nagar. These components form the foundation of every computer system and are vital for its performance. In this blog, we will explore the six key hardware components that power your computer and ensure it runs efficiently.
1. Central Processing Unit (CPU) – The Brain of the Computer
The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is the heart and brain of a computer, responsible for executing instructions and performing calculations.
Modern CPUs, such as Intel and AMD processors, have multiple cores for multitasking and enhanced performance.
Clock speed, measured in gigahertz (GHz), determines how quickly a CPU can process data.
A faster CPU ensures better performance for applications like MS Excel Training in Yamuna Vihar, where large datasets and calculations are common.
For students taking an Advanced Excel Training Course in Uttam Nagar, understanding how a CPU processes data can help optimize software performance for data-intensive tasks like pivot tables and formulas.
2. Random Access Memory (RAM) – The Short-Term Memory
RAM plays a vital role in ensuring smooth multitasking and quick access to frequently used applications.
RAM sizes vary from 4GB for basic systems to 64GB for high-performance machines.
Modern RAM types like DDR4 and DDR5 provide faster data transfer rates.
More RAM enhances the performance of data analysis tools, including Excel dashboards.
If you're pursuing a Basic Computer Course in Yamuna Vihar, understanding RAM can help you work more efficiently with applications like MS Office Training in Yamuna Vihar.
3. Hard Drive (HDD) or Solid-State Drive (SSD) – The Storage Hub
Your computer's storage solution determines how much data it can hold and how quickly it can access that data.
HDDs (Hard Disk Drives) are cost-effective but slower than SSDs (Solid-State Drives).
SSDs are faster, more durable, and energy-efficient, making them ideal for modern systems.
Many users opt for a combination: an SSD for faster boot times and an HDD for larger storage needs.
For students taking a Diploma in Computer Application in Yamuna Vihar, understanding the difference between storage types can help manage data effectively, especially for Advanced MS Excel Training in Yamuna Vihar projects that involve large file sizes.
4. Motherboard – The Nervous System of the Computer
The motherboard is the central circuit hub that connects all hardware components, ensuring seamless communication between them.
It contains slots for the CPU, RAM, storage, and expansion cards.
Modern motherboards often include built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and audio features.
Chipsets determine compatibility with processors and memory.
If you're enrolled in a Basic Computer Training in Uttam Nagar, understanding how the motherboard works is crucial for troubleshooting hardware issues. Students taking MS Excel Training in Uttam Nagar can also benefit from this knowledge when upgrading their systems for better performance.
5. Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) – Powering Visuals and Performance
The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is responsible for rendering visuals, whether it's a simple image or complex animations.
Integrated GPUs are sufficient for everyday tasks like browsing or working on Excel.
Dedicated GPUs, such as those from NVIDIA and AMD, are essential for gaming, video editing, and AI applications.
GPU performance, including VRAM capacity, impacts tasks like creating dashboards and visualizations in MS Excel Classes in Yamuna Vihar or MS Excel Training in Uttam Nagar.
For advanced data visualization projects in Advanced MS Excel Courses in Uttam Nagar, a good GPU can make all the difference.
6. Power Supply Unit (PSU) – Providing Energy to Your System
The Power Supply Unit (PSU) converts electricity from the outlet into usable power for your computer's components.
A high-quality PSU ensures stable power delivery and protects against hardware damage.
Power wattage should match the needs of your system's components.
Modular PSUs improve cable management, enhancing airflow and system cooling.
For students pursuing courses like Basic Computer Classes in Yamuna Vihar, understanding the PSU is crucial for maintaining a reliable and efficient system.
Conclusion

The Loomis Radio School, Washington D.C. ca. 1921.
The school was located at 401 Ninth St. N.W. and operated with the call letters 3YA. By 1920 it was offering a six month course enabling the graduate to obtain a first grade commercial radio license and by January of 1922 was offering a four year course with a degree in Radio Engineering bestowed on graduates.
The school was founded by Mary Texanna Loomis, pictured in the last photo.
Born August 18, 1880 near Goliad, Texas. She was the second child born to Alvin Isaac and Caroline (Dryer) Loomis. Though born on homestead in Texas in 1880, by 1883 her parents had returned to Rochester NY and then on to Buffalo where Alvin became president of a large delivery and storage company. Little is known of her early years, but appears she had a fairly middle-class up bringing. She seemed well schooled, with an early interest in music and language (she mastered French, German and Italian) Her early years were spent in Buffalo, NY and she later relocated to Virginia.
During the early years of World War I, she became interested in the new field of wireless telegraphy. There was a family precedent; her cousin, Dr. Mahlon Loomis, had conducted early wireless experiments with moderate success and may in fact have been the first person, in 1865, to send and receive wireless signals.
Mary soon became proficient enough in wireless telegraphy to be granted a license by the United States Department of Commerce. Thoroughly fascinated with the field now called “radio”, she decided to turn her expertise into a career. Also, she wanted to do something that would honor her pioneering ancestor. Her idea was to do this by founding a radio school.
Though radio was indeed, for many years, a profession dominated by men, Mary Loomis around age 40 took no notice and in 1920 founded the Loomis Radio School in Washington, D.C. and it quickly gained an excellent reputation. Ms. Loomis set high standards for the school and it attracted students not only from the United States but Europe and Asia as well. Loomis enjoyed teaching as much as she enjoyed radio itself. In an interview, she said, “Really, I am so infatuated with my work that I delight in spending from 12 to 15 hours a day at it. My whole heart and soul are in this radio school.”
As president and Lecturer of the Loomis Radio School, Mary authored a definitive book on radio, named “Radio Theory and Operating.”
By January 1922 the school was offering a four year course with a degree in Radio Engineering bestowed on graduates. Loomis also intended that her students understand more than just the inner and outer workings of radio. In addition to a radio laboratory (with equipment constructed almost entirely by Mary herself), the school maintained a complete shop capable of teaching carpentry, drafting and basic electricity. She reasoned that many of her graduates might find themselves at sea, or in other challenging situations and she wanted them adequately prepared. “No man,” Ms. Loomis said, at the time, “can graduate from my school until he learns how to make any part of the apparatus. I give him a blueprint of what I want him to do and tell him to go into the shop and keep hammering away until the job is completed.”
The school appears to have been in existence at least through the early 1930's, but it has not been possible to find information after that.
In an interview given to H.O. Bishop of the Dearborn Independent in 1921, Mary was asked: “What sort of young men are taking up the radio profession?” to which she replied:
“The Kind who have grit and want to get there! Virtually all of them are ambitious and enthusiastic over the possibility of visiting every nook and corner of the world. My students are not only enrolled from various sections of the USA and Canada but from many foreign countries, such as Sweden, Ireland, England, Poland, Russia, Austria, Rumania and the Philippines. One of the brightest pupils I ever had was Prince Walimuhomed of Far-away Afghanistan. He was an extremely modest young man, keeping his real identity a secret until after graduating. He said he had no idea of earning his living by working at radio, but just wanted to know all about it. He does. You have no idea how much happiness I get out of the success of each individual graduate. My boys keep in touch with me from all parts of the world. Scarcely a day goes by that I do not get some trinket or postcard from some remote section of the world. I have made the wonderful discovery that the only way for me to get happiness for myself is to make some one else happy. I find that I am making these young men happy by teaching them every phase of the radio business so that they can earn a comfortable living for themselves and their dependents and at the same time, see the great big beautiful world.
As far as we can figure out, Mary Loomis left Washington D.C. around 1935 and moved to San Francisco where she worked as a stenographer. She died in 1960 and is interred at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma, CA.

scale of 1 to 10 how buff is astrid in your off the coast au???
(for science purposes, of course)
dragonsoffthecoast!astrid infodump pretty please?? relationships with work, he gang, all of that tasty stuff :]
I CAN ABSOLUTELY INFODUMP ABT ASTRID!! (she's at least an 8 on the buffness scale)
i want astrid to have this body type (photo is of monica granda, who is a powerlifter!!!)

BUT to the main stuff abt ms astrid hofferson :)
general info
astrid picks her name to be astrid legally when she's around 12 :) she used that name as her "viking name" back when she & the gang were little kids playing vikings vs dragons. and since it's?? a rlly cool name. when she changed it from her dead name her parents let her pick & it was all she could think of. it means so much to her.
astrid in school, all school from elementary to college/uni, is a try hard. she is going to be valedictorian if it'll be the last thing she does. if she's not at least top 3 her eye is twitching. she is also very active in sports!! track & field is her JAM!!! esp once she's at uni she does lots of field stuff!! (discus, hammer, etc!!) and powerlifting!!
when she initially came out as trans it was a little rough with her parents (they were a bit distant at first) but they got over themselves & were super supportive as she transitioned :) that's their daughter!!!
she always is wearing her headband, it's yellow & blue to match stormfly's crown. tuff & snot made it for her.
relationships
stormfly is her girl, her best (dragon) friend!! <3 stormfly brings out astrid's playful side and is an excellent confidant for her. astrid is super protective of stormfly. stormfly is in the sanctuary due to having some part of her crown (the spines that stick out of her head) being cracked (they are very important for nadders!!!) and as she healed, astrid was her human. they also both tend to be the ones reigning their friends in (altho stormfly can get carried away when she plays sometimes!!)
hiccup (hirschel) is her best (human) friend. they grew apart when they were in middle school (as did the rest of the gang from hiccup) but in high school she was the first person he revealed toothless to & she (after being convinced to NOT tell any of their parents) did not take hiccup's trust in her lightly. it means a LOT to her. their dynamic is very much like how their friendship is in the shows esp. astrid can get in over her head with how strict she can be abt how to do literally anything & her frustration of others not doing what she would do & hiccup will just dryly vibe check her. she also bluntly (but gently) vibe checks him back (think "so why didn't you?" scene from httyd 1). she's his second in command at work and is in charge when he's not there. hiccstrid is a thing for this au and they do have feelings for each other when they're kids :)
fishlegs (justin) and astrid are super close!! when they're together they're basically the level-headed ones of the group. they bring out the responsible sides of each other lol!! they're each other's confidant and astrid can always rely on fishlegs to be honest (but kind) when she needs advice. they of course have their fun but they're who they go to when they need a moment of calm. astrid is also fishlegs' go to for tasting anything he creates because while she's not the best cook or anything herself, she can give her honest opinion. also they do yoga together!!! fishlegs helps astrid relax (which he understands the struggle of given the fact his resting heart rate is always registered as a panic attack /j). they just rlly appreciate each other.
snotlout (gary) and astrid's relationship should be obvious since that's the one i've posted abt the most but they've been at each other's throats since birth. as kids they were always arguing and it's no different when they're older lol. and obviously they eventually date for a brief period due to astrid developing feelings for him. they are genuine, from both parties, but it's not sustainable for them to stya together. outside of that part, they're still super close and while they will give each other shit the whole way through, they know each other better than anyone else, much to astrid's chagrin.
astrid's relationship with ruffnut (eugene) compared to others in the gang is more strained. astrid falls into a bad habit of treating ruff & tuff like a singular entity a lot of the time (which, in her mind is because one is not without the other and are always causing mayhem together) and this frustrates ruffnut, but ruffnut isn't as vocal as her brother until she feels like she needs to be. however, she does give astrid where credit is due. if only astrid could give her the same credit in return (don't worry, astrid will learn and they do grow closer when they're older, esp once they're in uni)
astrid's relationship with tuffnut (laverne) is similar to how she is with ruff in terms of her tending to act like tuff & ruff are a single entity and not two separate ppl with lots of overlapping interests and behaviors due to being twin siblings (ha. felt). tuff, out of the twin duo, is way more talkative than ruff and he is honestly, despite his snark, very sweet. he's more himself than anyone else in the gang and is the most comfortable in his own skin and astrid is sometimes jealous of him for it. he also is the one in the gang who makes her laugh the most with his silliness, but with how quickly he relays jokes, ofc she laughs more often :)
at work
at the hidden world, astrid is very no-nonsense and is particular abt her sections of the sanctuary, which are the sharp and tracker classes! she ends up with two classes due to the switch of nadders from sharp class to tracker class and she does the primary research for the new tracker class set of dragons!! she also does a lot fo the field work! she loves going out into the woods and helping keep track of dragons and then later help with new species :) she helps tag and track!!! her least favorite thing is sitting at the front desk and having to talk with visitors. she thinks she does alright at the job but hiccup says she "can be scary." but also when she's up front it's snotlout & the twin's favorite time to bother her to get her reactions lol. she's also in charge of making the schedules for everyone by her own decision bc she hates the way everyone else does the schedules.
always has stormfly on her shoulders <3
however once she's at uni her time at the sanctuary lessens, altho she does go back full time during summers! she does work a uni job while there, tho (just either at a coffee shop or smth). after she graduates she goes back to the sanctuary but tosses around the ideas of doing other things (despite what hiccup wants but. that's for them to discuss bc she shouldn't have to do what he wants) she even considers enlisting in the coast guard at some point but decides against it. the gang eventually travel across the country to help with more dragons as well as talk in interviews about dragon conservation & stuff & she becomes one of the main spokepeople :)

Danganronpa : Danger zone
Interview one : Komatsu Yuina
??? - Good afternoon Ms Komatsu, it's a pleasure to have you here, how are you feeling today?
Komatsu - How am I feeling? I've never felt better! This place is fucking awesome!
??? - I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the facilities-
Komatsu - Yeah, they've got tons of cool shit in here, can't wait to take a dip in that pool!
??? - Well I assure you you'll get to soon enough, for now I'm just gonna ask you a few simple questions and then you can get back to what you were doing before.
Komatsu - Awesome.
??? - Good. Could you please state your name, age and occupation for me?
Komatsu - Sure thing! The name's Komatsu Yuina, 20 years old, and I'mm a celebrity!
??? - What exactly is it that you're famous for?
Komatsu - Well, I've got my own show! Basically I do a buncha crazy shit, break a few bones in the process, and earn a fuck ton of money from it.
??? - Sounds... Interesting. How many bones have you broken exactly?
Komatsu - Pfft, I dunno, a lot? I get injured all the time, I'm not exactly counting anymore.
??? - I see, does that not worry you?
Komatsu - Nah, knowing you might get hurt is part of the thrill!.... Still hurts like shit though.
??? - I can imagine. Would you say you have a high pain tolerance?
Komatsu - I mean, yeah, if you're constantly getting hurt you're gonna get a little used to it. It still sucks, but it's worth it.
??? - I see. Do you know how to treat injuries accordingly when they do occur?
Komatsu - 'Course! I know a first aid kit like the back of my hand! If anyone here gets injured, they can come straight to Nurse Yuina!
??? - Noted. I just have one last question for you, if someone were in a life threatening situation, for example let's say, where they were losing a lot of blood very quickly, would you say you'd know how to deal with that?
Komatsu - Uhh... Weird question, but, maybe? It depends really, but I guess I'd try my best to help 'em. I doubt that's gonna be a problem in here though, everything seems pretty safe!
??? - Excellent. That's all the questions I have for you today Ms Komatsu, if you yourself have any questions feel free to ask them now.
Komatsu - Oh, right. What's this for?
??? - Pardon?
Komatsu - The interview, what's it for?
??? - Nothing much really, just a thing we do with all the ultimates that arrive here to get better insight on their talents. Though if you're wondering, this is being recorded, but it won't be released to the public, so don't worry.
Komatsu - Sick. Sooo, am I free to leave now?
??? - Feel free, the door's just over there.
Komatsu - Thanks.

Why some characters are called by their lastname?
I didn't really think I had to post an info page about this, but since there has been some confusion around this, here it is.
So as you watch anime you learn that in Japanese culture, people don't usually call you by your first name. Usually you will be called by your last name and at the end of it they will add an honorific.
And before we get to all the different honorifics, I like to add that my character, Luna was born and raised in Japan, which mean she follows the the tradition of calling others by their last name. Some characters she is closer to, like Bakugo and Midoriya, which means she calls them by their nicknames, Kaachan and Izuchan.
While Todoroki Shoto is still on a learning-to-know-basis, she will call him by his last name, same thing with others in UA or in Japan.
Basically, the way she calls someone shows how close she is to the person or how much she respects the person.
When it comes to her non-japanes classmates, because she is in the international hero course, she will call them the way her classmates have told her to call them.
Now to the honorifics; There are a lot of different honorifics but here are the most common ones:
San (さん) = Mr. / Ms: Adults of equal status, informally and formally
Sama (様、さま) = Sir / Ma'am: Dear customer (o-kyaku-sama), Ladies and Gentlemen (mina-sama), Your Honor (judges), Your Lordship/Your Ladyship (judges of higher courts), Your Grace / Your Reverend / Your Eminence / Your Holiness (religious authorities) Your Omnipotence (deities)People of higher status (including deities, guests, customers)
Kun (君【くん】): Kun is a semi-formal title for a man—primarily men younger or the same age as the speaker.
Chan (ちゃん) = Little: Most frequently used for girls and small children, close friends, or lovers. Occasionally may be used to refer to a boy, but in most situations would be inappropriate.
Tan (たん) = Lil...Babies
Senpai (先輩、せんぱい) = Senior: Senior colleague and student or classmate
Sensei (先生、せんせい) = Teacher / Master (in the sense of "master and disciple") / Doctor / Professor: Used to refer to teachers as well as people who are experts in their respective fields, whether doctors, artists or lawyers.
Hakase (博士、はかせ) = Doctor or PhD: Persons with very high academic expertise
Heika (陛下、へいか) = Your Majesty: Emperor, Empress, Empress Dowager or Grand Empress Dowager
Denka (殿下、でんか)Your Imperial Highness: Princes and princesses of the Japanese Imperial Family
Kakka (閣下、かっか) = Your Excellency: Used to address non-royal heads of state and government and other high-ranking government officials (ambassadors, cabinet ministers, and other high officials such as the United Nations Secretary-General or generals in an army).
