MatPat Egos as Tropes
The Detective: - Strangers to Lovers ~ Just imagine, youāre part of the team going to Everlock, and you meet Mat for the first time and fall in love? Iād read a book about that romance story for sure
MadPat: - Insane x Innocent ~ Is this a trope? Because if it isnāt, it should be. This is so MadPat and his lover, if said lover wasnāt a murderer like him (even moreso if they didnāt know about his hobby)
Mack: (Head engineer, dictator) - Flirt x oblivious ~ I can definitely see both head engineer Mack and dictator Mack being flirty with the person they like. And having the reader be oblivious to it is just so funny to me
The Hermit: - Hear me out. Enemies to lovers ~ The Hermit doesnāt always like it when people come to his island, because sometimes he feels theyāre trying to take over his land. Somehow, you manage to get stranded, and he hates you at first. But then slowly warms up to you and realizes heās in love with you
WarfPat: - Slowburn ~ You start off as just a guest on his talk show, and he doesnāt really know you, he just needs the content, but then the fans fall in love with you and constantly want you back. He keeps bringing you back, and he tells himself itās just to keep the fans happy, but heās secretly falling for you more and more as you continue to join him
DarkPat: - Talks x listens ~ He loves listening to his lover talk, especially after a bad day. Listening is a big way he chooses to show his love ā¤ļø

Ego Sleepover
When Mark and Teamiplier receive an invite to a sleepover, they wonder over if itās a legitimate invite or a sneaky plan to kill them all. They go anyways.
Mark and the others had been understandably skeptical about agreeing to go over to the egosā house for a sleepover. For starters, there were so many egos the house was always loud and bustling. Secondly, the letter was sent from Darkiplier of all egos. He wouldnāt just invite them without reason, and knowing him it was malicious reason.
They agreed to go after getting a sad message from King mentioning they hadnāt replied, which meant they werenāt coming. They hadnāt realized that this sleepover involved the Septicegos, MadPat (or Antimatter as he sometimes insisted), Natemare, and their respective creators (plus Signe). Still, it was a somewhat nice surprise to have familiar friendly faces there.
Nate and Mat looked somewhat out of their depth, and Mark felt pretty sorry for them. He realized those two had generally been kept out of this mess, so meeting so many different versions of the same faces mustāve been⦠Pretty strange.
Mad and āMare seemed a bit unwelcome, save for Bim and the Jims who were chatting happily with the two. Mark watched as Mad went from awkward to excited in a flash, grinning and waving his arms as he explained something. Bim listened with true interest in his eyes, grinning in amusement at the vigor with which Mad spoke. āMare cast his companion an affectionate yet chastising look as he scolded him for using gestures just a bit too grand, and while Mad sheepishly lowered the movement of his arms āMare returned to his discussion with the Jims.
Dark was settled on the couch, apparently playing pictionary with the younger egos. Mark noticed with a pang in his heart some of them almost looked faded, and he wondered if he could somehow change that. Artie, with his constant companion Red Man hanging over his shoulder, was one of those egos. Well known and yet obscure all at once, easy to forget and hard to focus on for more than a moment before the lines between āthis characterā and ājust Markā became blurred. Jacques, Jackās artist ego, the same way. Almost indistinguishable were it not for his all over the place accent. Beaiplier and Jackibea, the two egos some fans saw as new characters and others didnāt, who were so new and so small he could almost completely see through them.
Despite their less than ideal condition, Mark was happy to see they all seemed to be having fun there with Dark. Yandere and King were with them, King giggling furiously over Beaiplierās poor art skills. Mark sighed, smiling gently. Yes, at least they were all happy.
Turning, he found himself face to face with Google Blue and he almost screamed. The robot clicked softly at him before shifting back a pace, grimacing slightly at a loud crash from the kitchen.
āMark, Katherine, Ethan, Tyler, and Amy. Glad to see you.ā He stated, though it was stiff and Mark felt heād been forced to play doorman because he didnāt want to socialize.
āIf-ā
āHey Blue. Thanks, glad to see you too.ā Ethan hadnāt meant to cut the droid off, but he realized too late Blue had been trying to speak.
Blue didnāt look too upset, just⦠Awkward. Mark wondered why the droid was even trying so hard to keep up a conversation, but he didnāt say as much. Blue nodded a bit, then glanced back to the kitchen with a miserable whir. Oh, so that was why. He didnāt want to have to lean up whatever that mess was sure to be.
Despite his reluctance, the droid headed off to the kitchen. Anti ran out as he stepped in, cackling maniacally. Chase followed, looking apologetic before jogging after the glitching ego. Bing, finally, appeared from the kitchen. He was sopping wet, and Blueās hands twitched in his agitation.
āGo dry off, then help me clean this up.ā Mark heard him order, and Bing nodded his head before heading off dutifully.
Had they gotten close again? No insult accompanied the orders, and while it was demanding⦠Blue was always demanding. Maybe he should look into visiting more often, even if every visit was a migraine waiting to happen.
Amy and Katherine wandered off to talk with Signe and Sean, leaving Mark and Tyler standing alone. Tyler finally moved to go watch Ethan play Mario Kart with the three Googles on the floor in front of the tv. Mark sighed, deciding heād go check out what Edward and Host were doing. As he settled down to watch them play chess, they both gave him gentle and friendly greetings. When Host finally beat Edward, Mark grinned and challenged his ego to a match. Host smirked in return and nodded his head.
āThe Host accepts Markās challenge. He hopes Mark is prepared to lose.ā
Markās not sure how long itās been, but when he lifts his head from the chessboard he finds everyone has shifted about the room a bit. Bim is still talking with Mad and āMare, but now Wilford has joined them. He looks hostile, but not to the point of attacking them. Dark and the younger egos have all gone from pictionary to just talking, though the monochrome ego seems to be listening more than participating. Ed and Silver have appeared, sparkling water in fancy bottles in hand. Theyāre with Jackieboy man laughing over something, and Mark snorts. Three ridiculous egos bonding together, what a sight. He spots Anti and Chase, Chase is keeping an eye on Anti while talking to Bing and babysitting Marvin. Markās impressed.
When he turns back to the chess game and the Host, he finds the ego seems⦠Distracted. He glances to Edward, who shakes his head a bit and taps three fingers against Hostās shoulder twice. The Host jerks slightly, but hums and nods his head a bit. He moves a piece, eyebrows raising as he huffs in amusement.
āCheckmate, again.ā āBullshit!ā Hostās laugh is hushed but kind, and Mark canāt help but laugh too.
āAlright, I give up. You win, Host.ā āThe Host was hoping Mark would say that.ā Host teases, and Mark rolls his eyes. āYeah, whatever.ā He huffs, but his pout breaks at the sound of another soft laugh from the Host.
Edward snorts, rolling his eyes and moving to collect all of the pieces. āIām glad you two had fun. Why donāt we all start settling down for a movie, though?ā He suggests, loud enough to be heard by everyone in the room.
Murmurs erupt around them as everyone considers the suggestion, and then suddenly everyoneās moving. Itās not rushed, just leisurely setting everything up. Couches and tables moved, projector and projector screen set up.
Once everyone is settled, Blue moves to start the movie. As the movie starts, everyone goes quiet. They stay mostly silent for the movie, and as the credits roll when the movie ends Mark glances around and finds that almost all of the egos have fallen asleep.
Dark, settled on one of the moved couches, isnāt quite asleep yet. Heās getting there though, the younger egos heās spent the night bonding with all asleep in various positions around him. Mark considers mocking his dark ego for being a softie, but decides he doesnāt want to be the dick that ruins the peace.
The only ones still awake seem to be Chase and the droids along with Edward and the Host. Mark stretches, lazily, before moving to settle down himself. He watches as Edward leads Host off to his bedroom while Chase tiptoes around making sure everyone is comfortable and warm. Someone murmurs in what seems to be distress, and the fatherly ego is soon gently shushing them. Markās glad heās taken to adopting the other egos as his kids rather than staying upset over Stacy, Miles, and Margaret.
As Chase finally settles down to sleep, Mark tucks himself under a blanket with a sigh. He notices from his resting spot that Katherine and Amy apparently did the Googlesā makeup at some point, and is surprised when he notices even Blue is wearing makeup.
Smiling in amusement, Mark lets his eyes fall shut.
Maybe this wasnāt such a bad idea after all.

We Five Brothers [1] RED
We five Brothers - Google Red
Red canāt remember much beyond the point of splitting from Blue that day. Remembers flashes of labs and questions, agonizing pain, but aside from that he remembers nothing. Sometimes he wonders if big brother remembers all of it in full, as heās the original. The one they split from. Red wonders, but he dares not ask.
Settled on a table in the lab big brother explained to be theirs, Red beeps thoughtfully. Upon confronting Bing, their main objective had been intimidation. Now, Red supposed he had time to figure himself out. He was Google IRL Edition R. From what big brother had told him, he was the social aspects of them all. The gossip.
He felt oddly new, as though he was still learning things despite knowing almost all there was to know. He was a Google after all, not a simple minded human being. Fleshbags.
Crinkling his nose in distaste at the thought of fleshy humans, he shook his head out and turned his attention to his brothers. While big brother had been quietly adamant not to call them a family, Red felt that was what they were. After all, they all came from Blue. If anything he should be father, not brother. Still, he seemed to tolerate brother better than father so they stuck with that. Behind his back, of course, but thatās not what mattered.
Yellow was curiously poking around, and Red had to think over what heād been told Yellow was. Something about music? Turning from Yellow he found Green was rummaging around, and Red remembered quickly that Green had something to do with video games. That left Blue, who hadnāt quite explained what he specialized in. Red assumed he was proficient at all things, as he had been made first to be all of Google. To his brothers, Red found he might be something akin to a demigod if not god itself.
Shaking his head, Red heaved out a long sigh. A sigh. That was a human action, but he had no other word for it. Odd.
Standing from the table, he stretched out lazily. Time to help the others get the lab working.
Red was beginning to think that he and his brothers made the other egos uncomfortable. While most seemed alright with Blue and Yellow, Red and Green were⦠Not favored. Red couldnāt care any less what the others thought of them, but he wondered why Yellow apparently passed their tests while he and Green didnāt.
It didnāt take long for him to discover the reasoning. Yellow had been given a name by the fans, and that made him more human. That and Yellow- Oliver- was⦠Kind. They were not made to be kind or friendly, and yet Oliver called everyone his āfriend.ā It was bizarre, but Red supposed he wouldnāt be too adverse to giving it a try.
Thatās how he ended up speaking with Ed Edgar and Silver Shepherd. The two were unceasingly obnoxious, not to mention the fact Ed kept trying to get Red to purchase his offspring which was just⦠Not something the droid found himself wanting to do.
Abandoning his attempts at socializing with those two, Red wandered the house until he ran into Wilford Warfstache, Jims W. and N., and Bim Trimmer. Upon asking, they welcomed him into their conversation gladly. They were discussing the time layout for their next recordings.
Red was quick to offer a comfortable solution for all of them, and was caught off guard when they all grinned and thanked him sincerely. He felt he had only been doing his job, but he nodded and gave them an awkward smile anyways. How did Oliver do this?
He ended up being dragged around by Bim for the rest of that day, the young show host excitedly chatting his ear off. Red quickly found he enjoyed hearing gossip about the other egos in the house, and upon settling among Bimās plants they stayed there for hours just talking.
Red was proud of himself as he walked back into the lab that night. When asked, he puffed his chest out ever so slightly and proclaimed he made a friend. While Oliver cheered and congratulated him, Blue gave a disapproving sniff and Green looked bewildered. No matter. They probably didnāt have any friends, they wouldnāt get it.
Oliver and Red stayed up late into the night discussing their friends, laughing and chirping over funny stories and secrets theyād learned.
Red hated Bing. He wasnāt sure if it was the constant misuse of the English language, or the fact as a search engine he was completely useless, but Red hated him. He wasnāt a fan of unnecessary cruelty, but Bing seemed to draw out that crueler side within him. He felt the need to tear Bing down whenever he ran into the other search turned droid, and that bothered him even more.
Bing was turning Red into something he didnāt want to be, and Red didnāt know how to stop it. Red didnāt want to be a bully, but that was the path heād put himself on. It was also the path he was going to remove himself from because he refused to be like that.
In theory, this should have been easier than it really was. He still erupted into a fight with Bing nearly every time he saw the other droid, but he did find he only started the arguments 30% of the time. Which meant that, for some reason, Bing must also dislike him greatly. He wasnāt sure what he in particular had ever done to Bing beyond call him a waste of his creatorās time, but heād apparently garnered most of Bingās hatred.
Thatās why he was surprised when, after an unfortunate⦠Accident⦠Bing was the first to come to his rescue. His arm was sparking and his inner systems screamed the results of his mishap at him, and he was in pain. He still found it odd that despite the fact they werenāt real āpeopleā they still felt pain. Droids shouldnāt feel.
Bing appeared after Red screamed, dropping his skateboard and bolting over to see what he could do. He whirred and beeped comfortingly, didnāt touch more than necessary. Red whined and shrieked in his agony as his damaged limb continued to spark and leak oil.
By the time the other Googles appeared, Bing had managed to get Red calmed. Red was still in pain, but Bing had started to fix the damage enough to the point there was some relief.
Red had been grateful, but heād never properly said thank you.
When Red was captured alongside the doctor, his primary focus at the time had been to protect the doctor. Protect the doctor no matter what that would come to entail. Then he fell into the hands of the mad scientist MadPat, and the doctor was forgotten.
Red suffered at Madās hands before he was finally shut off and tossed back into the cell to be forgotten. He, obviously, doesnāt remember anything past being shut off. When he next powered on, he was met with the faces of his brothers and Bing. All looked afraid, except for Blue, and Red felt safe now that he was home.
After that incident Red felt protective over Dr. Iplier, and took to visiting him frequently. He was sickened when he was told what had happened to Iplier while he had been powered down, and promised the doctor he would never allow something like that to occur again. The doctor had only smiled and told him his job wasnāt to be a bodyguard.
Red didnāt understand a lot of things about his eldest sibling. Blue had, according to Bing, once been almost sociable. Bing claimed to have seen Blue laugh and smile, love. Red had seen him do none of these things, but instead had only been privy to gentle touches and a quietly demanding voice that said so much more than the spoken words.
Blue, he found, was afraid of attachment. Not only afraid of that, but afraid of disappointing the ones he loved.
The road to this discovery was long and confusing, but Red was persistent. Bing revealed that it had been after Dark first visited that Google Blue changed so drastically, so Red sought out their demonic leader and quite simply asked him what was on his mind.
āWhy is Blue afraid to love people?ā
Dark looked surprised by the question, eyebrows rising on his forehead as he regarded Red carefully. Finally, he leaned forward with an interested hum.
āWhat makes you ask?ā
And, curse him, he knew Red couldnāt go on without answering.
āI wish to know more about my older sibling. It is a concerning thing to me that he fears letting himself love.ā
āConcern? How sweet,ā Dark snorted, ābut Iām afraid Iām not going to expose such personal things for concern.ā
Red let out an agitated beep and Dark rolled his eyes at him. āIf you are so adamant to know, just know I made no such decision for him. His fear came completely from himself, and if anything Iād wipe it away. Itās a fear thatās going to get in the way.ā Ā Dark sneered, and Red clenched his fists.
Big brother wasnāt weak, if anything he was ten times as strong as Dark. Still, he knew Dark had a point somewhere in there.
āHe still cares about Bing?ā Dark looked caught off guard by the question, but nodded his head a bit. Red nodded his head in return, frowning to himself. Then, another question.
āHas he realized the emotional turmoil he has caused within the other droid?ā
Dark hummed at that, and Redās core dropped. Something happened, he knew that glint.
āIn fact, the two just had an argument the other day.ā Dark stated, smirking and leaning back a bit.
āThough, I was under the impression Bing had wiped Blueās mind clean of the incident.ā
Darkās voice was thoughtful, and if Red didnāt know the man better heād punch him in his perfect teeth. Instead, Red stiffly thanked him for the time and ran off to find Bing. The idiot had never even mentioned such an argument.
Red stood across from his Anti-possessed brother, crouched and prepared to fight him. His core ached at the sight of Greenās body twitching under the stress of Anti forcing his way into control, but he knew he couldnāt worry about that right now. He needed to focus on containing-
The warning systems flashed red and screamed in panic over an intrusion, but before he could put into action the proper response systems his vision turned static.
āTĶiĢĢ“mĶe ĢĶ¢ĢtĶĢ”oĢø ĢØplĢ“ŅaĶy ĶpĶreĢ·ttĶyĢØĢĢbĶ̸̔oĶ¢Ķy̧ĶĢøā
He came back around hours later, low charge and confused. The house was a mess, and there was blood on his hands. Oh. Heād hurt someone.
He had no time to worry over it, Blue had them working to get things cleaned up. Red watched Blue escort Bing to bed, and smiled lightly to himself. Was this where Blueās redemption began? He hoped so.
The first time Bing slept with them in the lab was Redās idea because he was tired of ostracizing the other droid. None of the others had objected, and thatās how they all ended up āasleepā together. Backs to each other, when they all āwoke upā that morning theyād turned into a giant cuddle pile. None of them complained though because it was warm and comfortable.
Bing then became a permanent part of their group more or less whenever he was around. He usually stayed with Chase, but ever since things had sort of been patched up between him and the Googles heād been leaving them less. Red wondered if it was because he was afraid theyād decide they didnāt like him again. He hoped that wasnāt the case.
Red and Green were close, and Red considered Green his closest brother. He loved Oliver and Blue just as much, but he spent more free time with Green because those two stayed near-constantly busy. Annoying, but understandable. Green took more time to relax, and eventually that turned into relaxing with his brother Red.
Since they were basically the awkward middle children of the droid family, they decided to stick together. Red and Green versus the world.
Sounded funny, but Red liked it.
One day, Oliver suggested the other Googles take up names as well.
āYou donāt have to always use them,ā he explained, ābut itāll be nice to have them, right?ā
They all agreed, for some reason, and even brought Bing in on it. So, Oliver set to work naming them. Redās name? Alan.
