Vikram vedha

You know Santhanam, the character played by Manikandan? I loved his character and i remember being shocked when he shot at Vikram. Then when he tries to talk he says 'sir na-' and promptly gets head butted by a gun.

I always used to think that he was out of the loop like vikram and the scene he entered was very discriminating against Vikram, like he had the IG at gunpoint and the others too.

I guess this is just me defending him.

This the exact second he gets knocked out. (But seriously, if the force needed to knock out a person was used, Vikrams hand in the middle of the gun and his head should definitely be broken right?)

Salman Khan's new song Billi Billi from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has been appreciated for being a crowd pleaser and entertainer. ETimes spoke to the choreographer of the song Jaani, who revealed that working with Salman changed his perspective on several important issues in life. Jaani also reveals his experiences of working with Ram Charan and SS Rajamouli. Read on... How will you describe the experience of choreographing Salman Khan in Billi Billi from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan?

He is amazing and it was fun to work with him. He feels no tension about the steps. He learns the steps on sets and performs them. Sometimes, if there’s something in particular that we need to tell him then we go to his house at Galaxy Apartments and brief him about it. I think there were 300 to 500 dancers in the song. Our DOP V Manikandan has shot the song beautifully as well.

Having worked with Salman Khan how do you rate his skill as a dancer? I worked with Salman Khan in Jai Ho but I was working under Radhika Rao back then. I worked under Prabhudheva Sir on the Seeti Maar song. Billi Billi is my first-time choreographing Salman Khan on my own.

He has rhythm in his body. He always suggests that whatever dance steps he does should be easy for the fans to emulate. He wants the songs, even if it’s an item song, to have dignity and grace. So that when the item song comes on TV people shouldn’t change the channel. They should be able to watch it with family. He thinks about people and which steps would look good if people perform them. Both of us think that our dance steps should be easy to do for everyone from a child to an old person. We used to gym together. I have learned a lot from him. From him, I've learnt how to stay down to earth and how to behave with people who are less privileged than me and how to respect women.

How did you sign on to choreograph Billi Billi song?

I got a call from Sharmila ma’am who is handling the film's production. She said, Bhai wanted to meet me. Then Bhai told me to come over to discuss things. I have choreographed five songs in this film. We did the first song in Hyderabad. And slowly I did all songs one by one. There’s one big song that I have choreographed for this film where Ram Charan makes a cameo appearance. Ram Charan sir gave me my first chance in a film. I was supposed to do Magadheera with him but missed out on that. Later, I got to do the film titled Racha (2012) with him. You also worked with SS Rajamouli after that. Rajamouli sir is my Guru. When I started out as a choreographer, I had gone to the shoot of one of his films. He liked my style and picked me. He taught me the importance of timing and framing in choreography. How many shots to get as per minute of the song? I did Maryada Ramanna, Eega and Baahubali with him. We call him Nandi Sir, which means ‘very close’ and we call him ‘Jakanna’ too.

Rilevamento quantistico dei gravitoni

Un esperimento per confermare i gravitoni. Il gravitone è una particella elementare ipotetica ma un nuovo esperimento propone un metodo per confermarne l'esistenza. I fenomeni fisici a varie scale possono essere descritti con le quattro forze fondamentali: la forza elettromagnetica, la forza (nucleare) debole, la forza (nucleare) forte e la gravità. Con quest'ultima abbiamo una certa familiarità eppure ancora non l'abbiamo pienamente compresa.  I suoi effetti sono evidenti, come interazioni tra oggetti aventi una massa. Mantiene i pianeti in orbita attorno al Sole, la Luna in orbita attorno alla Terra e gli esseri viventi e gli oggetti inchiodati sulla sua superficie. E su scala più ampia, è fondamentale per la struttura dell'Universo. Uno dei primi tentativi di descriverla fu fatto da Isaac Newton, che affermò che la gravità è proporzionale alla massa degli oggetti e inversamente proporzionale al quadrato della loro. Più di cento anni fa, Einstein rivoluzionò la nostra visione associando la gravità ai cambiamenti nello spazio e nel tempo. E molti dei sui effetti, come la dilatazione del tempo, le onde gravitazionali o i buchi neri, oggi sono stati confermati. Tuttavia, mentre questa forza può essere spiegata in senso "classico", la fisica quantistica riesce a spiegare solo le prime tre attraverso l'interazione di particelle: il fotone per la forza elettromagnetica, il gluone per la forza nucleare forte, i bosoni W e Z per la forza nucleare debole ma la gravità non ha ancora una sua particella definita. Ha solo il gravitone che, però, per ora rimane teorica. Collegare la gravità alla meccanica quantistica è ormai diventato uno dei sacri graal della fisica. In teoria, le onde gravitazionali che attraversano frequentemente la Terra, provenienti da colossali eventi cosmici come fusioni di buchi neri e stelle di neutroni, sono costituite da un numero enorme di quei gravitoni. Ma i rilevatori, come LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory), non possono rilevarli e, anzi, finora l'idea di individuarne uno è stata ritenuta impossibile.. Ora, però, un team di ricercatori guidato dal professore di fisica Igor Pikovski dello Stevens Institute of Technology suggerisce una nuova soluzione che prevede l'accoppiamento della tecnologia di rilevamento fisico esistente (risonatore acustico) con il rilevamento quantistico, che raccoglie informazioni a livello atomico.

Lo studio è stato pubblicato su Nature Communications. La proposta La soluzione proposta, spiega Pikovski, "è simile all'effetto fotoelettrico che ha portato Einstein alla teoria quantistica della luce, solo che le onde gravitazionali sostituiscono le onde elettromagnetiche". Il segreto sono i passaggi discreti di energia che vengono scambiati tra il materiale e le onde gravitazionali quando vengono assorbiti i singoli gravitoni. "Dobbiamo raffreddare il materiale e poi monitorare come cambia l'energia in un singolo passaggio e questo può essere ottenuto tramite rilevamento quantistico", spiega il ricercatore Sreenath Manikandan. "Osservando questi salti quantici nel materiale, possiamo dedurre che è stato assorbito un gravitone". Una delle innovazioni proposte dal team è quella di utilizzare i dati disponibili dall'osservatorio statunitense di onde gravitazionali LIGO. Il nuovo approccio è stato ispirato dai dati sulle onde gravitazionali rilevati sulla Terra e reso possibile dal fatto gli scienziati hanno recentemente iniziato a creare e osservare effetti quantistici in oggetti macroscopici. "A quanto pare, questa misurazione può essere eseguita", afferma Manikandan, "ad esempio utilizzando un dispositivo simile alla barra di Weber". Le barre Weber sono barre cilindriche spesse e pesanti (fino a una tonnellata) che prendono il nome dal loro inventore, Joseph Weber, originario del New Jersey. "Ora che sappiamo che i gravitoni possono essere rilevati, è una motivazione in più per sviluppare ulteriormente la tecnologia di rilevamento quantistico appropriata.
