Retha Johnson 75

Mrs. Retha Ann Johnson age 75 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Villages of Wilkes.

Funeral services were October 1,   at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Hays with Rev. Jamie McGuire officiating. Burial was   in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 28, 1944 in Wilkes County to Robert (Bob) Judson Johnson and Vallie Ester Blevins Johnson. She was a lifelong member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Hays.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Sue Johnson Pruitt, a sister in law; Grace Johnson and a brother in law; Bill Blevins.

She is survived by two daughters; Sherry Hall Wallace and husband George of Franklinton and Sandra Hall McGuire and husband Jamie of Millers Creek, five grandchildren; Cassandra McGuire, Tori Wallace Cortez and husband Johnny, Alix Wallace, Colin Wallace and Nikki Wallace, a sister; Mary Ellen Blevins of North Wilkesboro, two brothers; Rev. Cheslie Johnson of Hays, Perry Johnson and wife Sue of North Wilkesboro, and a brother in law; Ervin Pruitt of Hays.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4650 Cabin Creek Road Hays, NC 28635.

Mary Lou Lunsford Sheppard, age 71, of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Regional. She was born June 21, 1948 in Wilkes County to Grover and Maie Hendren Lunsford. Mrs. Sheppard was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Bower Sheppard; granddaughter, Kayla Dubuque; grandson, Anthony Sheppard; brother, Coy Lunsford; and sister, Pauline Jarvis.

Surviving are her children, Beth Wood and spouse Jeff of North Wilkesboro, Mary Sales and spouse Donald of Ronda, Billy Sheppard and Kim Young both of Wilkesboro, Shane Sheppard and spouse Shelia of Purlear; grandchildren, Alicia Wood, Curtis Wood, Nicole Gwyn, Bill Hairston, Donavan Sheppard, Catlin Foster, Mason Foster; sisters, Irene Johnson and spouse Commie of Moravian Falls, Juanita Greene of Mulberry; brothers, Clyde Lunsford and spouse Debra of Moravian Falls, Billy Lunsford and spouse Vicie of North Wilkesboro; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

John Paul (J.P.) Robinson, age 47, of Ferguson, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Mr. Robinson was born May 16, 1972 in Wilkes County to Johnny Wake and Ettie Sue Watts Robinson. J.P. loved fishing, cooking, old cars and shooting guns. Most of all he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faith Robinson; his mother; sister, Sandra Wyatt; and a brother, Ronald Robinson.

Surviving are his sons, Jessie Lee Robinson and spouse Haleigh and Darrell Lee Knight all of Millers Creek; his father, Johnny Wake Robinson of Millers Creek; sister, Linda Robinson of Millers Creek; brother, Fred Allen Robinson and spouse Vallerie of Millers Creek; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Tink.

Funeral service was  September 30, at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stanley Wyatt officiating.

Mrs. Hallie Christine Bullis Church, age 82 of Boomer, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Westwood Hills Nursing.

Funeral services were September 29,  at New Light #2 Baptist Church on Vannoy Road with Rev. Jim Belcher officiating. Burial was in the Church family cemetery.  

Mrs. Church was born December 8, 1936 in Wilkes County to Mamie Lee Adams Bullis. She was retired from Charmette Beauty Salon where she worked as a Hairdresser. Mrs. Church was a member of New Light #2 Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her first husband; Walter Church, and a son; Kimberly Dale Church.

She is survived by her husband; Buford Nichols of the home, three sons; Kevin Church and wife Geneva of Millers Creek, Lang Derwin Church and wife Linda of Millers Creek and Scott Dowell Church and wife Patsy of Millers Creek, six grandchildren; Shannon Church, Tasha Wdowiak and husband Andrew, Walter Church and wife Jessica, Nathan Church, Matthew Church and Daniel Church, three great grandchildren; Westson Wdowiak, Aubrey Wdowiak and Kyle Church, a sister; Crystal Roberts and husband Doug of North Wilkesboro  and two brothers; Harvey Bullis and wife Brenda of Hickory and Ricky Bullis of Millers Creek.

Mrs. Wyatt was born May 4, 1945 in Ashe County to Conley and Effie Darnell Jenkins. Mary was a devoted pastor's wife for 40 years, was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Wyatt is survived by her husband; Rev. Roy Hampton Wyatt whom she was a faithful wife to for 58 years, three daughters; Lisa Wyatt Smith and husband, Dexter of Ash, Anita Wyatt Caldwell and husband Timothy of North Wilkesboro and Valerie Wyatt Key and husband Matthew of Millers Creek, twelve grandchildren; Timothy Wayne Moose, Jr., Daniel Lee Moose, Laura Michelle Smith, Matthew Forrest Prevette, Jennifer Ashley Key, Andrea Nicole Moose, Emilee Faith Prevette, Joshua Garrett Mosteller, Madison Lynn Caldwell, Brianna Hope Key, Landon Michael Caldwell and Carrie Ann Alyssa Key, six great grandchildren; Jordan Alan Miller, Philip Matthew Moose, Hunter Lee Moose, Liam Matthew Prevette, Samuel Ryan Moose and Jeremiah Wayne Moose, a sister; Midge Allen and husband Jim of Millers Creek and a brother; Roger Jenkins and wife Lola of Hiddenite.

 Alma Wiles, 94

Alma Elledge Wiles, age 94, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Regional. Alma was born May 24, 1925 in Wilkes County to James Spencer and Lura Harrold Elledge. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Moravian Falls and was previously employed with Martin Marietta Aviation and Missile Builders as a secretary. Mrs. Wiles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Franklin Wiles, Jr.; siblings, Cecil Elledge, Lexie Fraiser, Ruth Ledbetter and Faye Elledge; and nephew, Dennis Fraiser.

She is survived by her nieces, Deborah Fuller and Kellie McLaughlin; and nephew, James S. Elledge.

Graveside service was September 27,   at Mountlawn Memorial Park.  

Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Jackie Leonard Rogers, Jr. better known as Little Jack, age 34 of Purlear passed away September 23, 2109 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Funeral services  were September 28,  at Purlear Baptist Church with Pastor Jamie McGuire officiating.  

Mr. Rogers was born February 6, 1985 in Concord North Carolina. He was a Brick Mason by trade. Mr. Rogers was a member of Purlear Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents; Jackie Rogers, Sr. and wife Debbie Reed Rogers, three sisters; Deanna Carpenter of Purlear, Elizabeth Belush and husband Matthew of Kannapolis and Kayla Smith and husband Jon of Boone and three brothers; Scott Richards and wife Carla of Hays, Mark Rogers of Wilkesboro and Daniel Rogers and wife Diana of Massachusetts.

Mrs. Geraldine Brooks Rhodes, age 73 of Hays passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services were September 26,  at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Shumate officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.  

Mrs. Rhodes was born May 11, 1946 in Wilkes County to Amos Brooks and Lettie Billings Brooks. She was a Homemaker and Poultry Farmer and a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. Geraldine was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Gladys Wood and husband Eli, Hazel Brooks, Edna West and husband Royal, two brothers; Arvie Brooks and Garness Brooks and a brother in law; Daniel Brown.

She is survived by her husband of fifty five years Otto Lonnie Rhodes, Jr. of the home, two daughters; Lisa Rhodes Hall and husband James of Ferguson, Denise Rhodes Wilson and husband Rick of Hays, five grandchildren; Joshua Hall, Nathan Hall, Elizabeth McCann and husband Brigg Adams, Rebekah Wilson and Reece Wilson, a sister; Arlene Brown of Salisbury and three brothers; Harlis Brooks and wife Darsie of Winston Salem, Jerry Brooks of Roaring River, Roger Brooks and wife Barbara of Roaring River and two sister in laws;  Annie Ruth Brooks and Shirley Brooks.

 Susan Holland, 65

Mrs. Susan Love Holland, age 65, of Conover went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Susan was born on December 24, 1953 in Statesville. Her father, Larry Edward Love (L.E.) preceded her in death.

Susan was a graduate of Wilkes Community College and worked for several years in North Wilkesboro in banking and data processing. Until her illness became too advanced, Susan worked at Connections, a psychosocial, rehabilitation clubhouse of Catawba Valley Behavioral Health Care, an ongoing community support program in Hickory. Susan contributed much to the Clubhouse and designed, edited and produced a monthly newsletter for the community. Known for her generous heart, Susan was a loving daughter, devoted mother, caring sister and kind spirit.

She is survived by her mother, Geraldine Love of North Wilkesboro; her son, Eric Holland of Greenville; three brothers, Steve Love of North Wilkesboro, Roger Love of Salisbury, and Randy Love of Rockingham; a sister, Dr. Sandra Swaringen of Wilkesboro; two nieces, Dr. Shanna Swaringen of Chapel Hill, Dr. Megan Swaringen of North Wilkesboro; and four nephews, Bradford Love of Knightdale, Wesley Love of Salisbury, Andrew Love of Raleigh and Brian Love of Rockingham.

A private graveside service was held on August 26, 2019 at Arbor Grove Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro with Pastor and Friend Michelle Staley officiating. Memorials may be made to Arbor Grove Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro or to Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Miller Funeral Service kindly served the family with compassion, comfort and support.

 Mary Lovette, 78

Mary Jo Lowe Lovette, 78, of Moravian Falls, died peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 23, 2019.

She was born Aug. 25, 1941, in Wilkes County to Perry Roosevelt Lowe Sr. and Mary Revis Lowe. She graduated from Pembroke State University with a degree in home economics and taught school in Wilkes County for 20 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 40 years and Daughters of the American Revolution for 27 years. She was lover of genealogy and was often called the Lowe family historian.

She was a long-time member of the Moravian Falls Methodist Church until its closure and spent her final days as a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church in Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by three older brothers: Clyde R. Lowe, Perry R. Lowe Jr. and Caney Lowe.

She is survived by a daughter, Revis (Ann) Lovette Felts and husband Todd of Wilkesboro; son, David E. Lovette Jr. and wife Kim of Hope Mills, N.C.; and five grandchildren: David E. (Ty) Lovette III, Ben Lovette, William Lovette, Meredith Felts and Olivia Felts.

Memorial service was Sunday, Sept. 29 at Miller Funeral Home Chapel in North Wilkesboro.

Mr.  Timothy Odell Teague, age 60 of North Wilkesboro, died Friday, September 20, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health - Wilkes Medical Center.

Funeral services were September 25, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Lane Roark officiating.  Burial was in Mountlawn Memorial Gardens.  

Mr. Teague was born July 24, 1959 in Wilkes County to Clint Isaac and Dessie Marie Handy Teague.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Clint Isaac Teague.  

He is survived by his mother, Dessie Marie Handy of Hays; his son, Gary Teague and wife, Christina, of North Wilkesboro; his grandchild, Kendall Teague; his three sisters, Diana Kilby and husband, Larry, of Roaring River, Nina Bozeman and husband, Billy, of Wilkesboro, and Darlene Patrick of Virginia; and his three brothers, Denny Teague and wife, Debbie, of North Wilkesboro, David Teague of Hays, and Curtis Teague and wife, Myra, also of Hays.

This Roman aristocrat was the 1st pope who was given the epithet “the Great” and besides Gregorius I (540-604), the most important pope of Christian antiquity.

Three different covers are available: the theatrical artwork, the promotional press-kit artwork, and new artwork by Andreas Marschall (pictured above). Each variant is limited to 1,000, for a total of 3,000 copies. They’re available for pre-order exclusively from Movie 2 Shop for €37.99 (around $40) each.

I picked up the habits in the Padalecki household really fast. Luckily Andrea the manager send me the eating customs and morning/evening routines of the boys as soon as it was clear I would start working as the nanny. Tom had to be at 8 am at the preschool. Jared would spend the first half of his day practising lines and playing with his kids in the other half.

As soon as I had Tom dropped off, I went grocery shopping with Shep. He sat happily in the seat of the shopping cart while I put the groceries in the basket.

“What do you want to eat for dinner Shep?”, I asked the two-year-old, expecting an answer like ice-cream or waffles.

“Dunno. What do you like?”, he asked back.

“Well, my favourite food was always the goulash my granny made.”

“The do that”, he said with a surprising stern voice.

“Goulash is it then.” We walked through the aisles until we had everything I needed. I paid and packed everything into the trunk of Jared’s Jeep. Lucas wanted to drive me, but I rejected thankfully.  Soon we reached the house and I parked the car in the garage.

“I wanna bring somfwing, too!”, the little one exclaimed, suppressing a yawn.

“Of course you can carry something. But I thing then it’s time for a nap. Don’t you think?”, I carefully handed him a small bag of carrots, which couldn’t take any damage if he would drop it.

“No!”, this time he didn’t manage to hide his tiredness and an even bigger yawn slipped out, “I’m not tired, (Y/N/N)!”

“Let’s get the groceries in. We can talk about it later.”

“Okay, ” He rubbed his eyes and carried one of the paprikas into the kitchen.

“Well hello, little man! What are you doing here? Where is (Y/N/N)?, a familiar voice rung out.

“I’m here!” Heavily packed with the bags I stepped into the kitchen and launched them onto the counter.  

“How was Tom?”

“They are both angles. Shep helped me shopping. We decided to make goulash for dinner if that’s okay.” I said while sorting everything into the cabinets.

“I’m not a very picky eater. So, it’s great with me.”

I brought Shep after a small snack and an even smaller discussion to bed and headed than up to my room to write a little bit for my book. After an hour, by now it was already shortly after 3 pm, I told Jared that I was going to pick Tom up from preschool and that Shep hadn’t woken up yet.

The afternoon was my free time as long as Jared was home. I finished another chapter of my book and read a little bit. At 8 o’clock my smartphone alarm began ringing, that was my signal to start preparing dinner. When I entered the living room I saw Jared laying on his back his sons climbing on top of him. Without disturbing their family time I sneaked into the kitchen. Just like my grandma told me, I cut the vegetables and the chicken into little cubes. I was so preoccupied with my work. Juggling 3 pots on the stove at once I didn’t notice that Jared had sneaked up behind me, looking into the pot with the stock bubbling in it.

“So that’s goulash?”

“Verdammt, Jar! You can’t creep up to someone like that!” I had nearly dropped the spoon I was holding.

“Verdammt? What does that mean?”

“Damn it”, I whispered into his ear, so his sons couldn’t hear it, “It’s german. I curse in german so the kids don’t pick it up that easily.”

“Okay, that’s clever. But you haven’t answered my question. What exactly is goulash?”

“Originally it is a Hungary soup but the recipe somehow travelled to Germany. It’s mostly meat and potatoes but I spiced it up with a few vegetables. I also use chicken instead of beef, it’s less chewy”, I explained.

“Wow. Sounds delicious. Can I help you somehow?”

“I’m nearly finished but it would be great if you could lay the table. I already put out the plates and the cutlery.”

“On my way ma’am!” He saluted playfully and does what he’s been told.

I finished the dish and carried it to the dining room. Tom, Shep and Jared were already sitting at the table as I set the pot on the table. Anxious for his reaction I waited for Jared to take a bite.

“Wow. That’s good!” He exclaimed, “Hmm. You definitely have to cook this more often. Am I right boys?”

“That’s delicious (Y/N/N)!”, Tom said happy eating. The dinner mostly went quiet, I helped Shep eating his potatoes and chicken. This evening I went to bed satisfied exhausted. Despite the reassuring, Tom and Shep could barely hold their eyes open and as soon as I had tucked them in they were fast asleep.

“Jared? If you need me, I’m in my room.” I informed him.

“Why don’t you stay. I was going to watch the new episode.”

“Uh. Sure.” Insecure I sat down at the other end of the sofa. But 5 minutes into Supernatural I was slouched on the incredible comfortable seat, desperately trying to keep my eyes open. My vision went blurry and I could hear Jared chuckle before I dozed into sleep. The next thing I remembered was a steady up and down, in my doze I also noticed the warmth of a broad, firm chest.

Jared p.o.v.

It took only ten minutes until (Y/N) fell asleep. I waited till the commercial break to carry her upstairs. As I was walking, I noticed how she nuzzled her face against my chest. To be honest I didn’t want to leave her alone. She looked so relaxed in her sleep. With a soft smile, I laid her down on her bed and pulled the sheets to cover her.

“Good night (Y/N/N)”, I whispered as I turned around.

Two weeks later

“If anything happens, call me”, he fiddled with his bag before checking if he had everything.

“It’s okay Jared. I know what I’m doing”, I tried to calm him, “And it’s not like there have never been without their parents.”

“Yeah, yeah. You’re right.”

“See you, dad.” Tom hugged his father tight.

“See you kiddo. Be nice to (Y/N/N) while daddy is working.”

“Bye, bye daddy” Shep stretched his arms out to his father, who pressed a big kiss onto the little one’s forehead.

“Bye, bye Shep. See you in a week.”

The week flew by in, what seems like just a blink of the eye, and soon I packed the bags for our one week visit to Vancouver.

One week later

Jared couldn’t pick us from the airport, out of obvious reasons, so as soon as he three-year-old Thomas spotted his dad, still in costume, he ran into his arms.

“Hey, big boy? Where are Shep and (Y/N/N)?”

“At the car. They are sooo slow!”, the three years old exclaimed.

“I heard that!”, I laughed.

“Hey, (Y/N). Wanna trade?” Nodding I gave him his other son and sat Tom back on his feet.

“You must be (Y/N). I’ve heard much about you”, said a familiar voice behind me. Quickly I turned around, just to face Jared’s colleague Jensen Ackles.

“I-I hope just good things.” I could feel a blush creeping up my neck.

“The best.” With a wink in my direction, he turned to Jared, “One scene and then the day is wrapped. Come before Rich gets angry.” And right in this moment latter came out of the door, of which I assumed, leads to the studio.

“You are obviously invited to watch, (Y/N)”, Jared said with a grin.

During the one week that I spend on set, I met Misha, Ruth, Mark and so many other fantastic people. A deep friendship formed fast between me and Ruth. At the end of the week, I was as sad as Tom and Shep when we had to go back to Austin.

All-digital Scottish Design Awards Mark A Night To Remember

A difficult year has been lent some perspective by the 2020 Scottish Design Awards which highlighted the creative beacons which have done most to light our way out of the dark days of lockdown.

The only awards programme to combine the architecture and design spheres the event is sponsored by Urban Realm and The Drum magazines as a mechanism to showcase the full scope of the creative sector and the value it can add in terms of enhancing all our lives.

Not to be outdone the architecture component of the evening continues to build presence thanks to the efforts of Page \ Park who secured a Grand Prix courtesy of their achievement at Leeds Playhouse.

While much of the leisure economy remains stuck in the doldrums, Page/Park bring some much-needed joy to a struggling sector with a colourful approach.

Explaining their decision, the architecture panel, chaired by Marina Strotz, president of Birmingham Architectural Association, explained: “There’s a willful and charming use of colour which a lot of architects shy away from. It’s welcoming and not too stuffy and will encourage diverse audiences. There’s a big wow about it and it’s socially important.

“The ceramic patterning brings something creative and innovative back to the street. It’s a happy, joyous building. The most striking piece of design.”

The chairman’s award meanwhile was received by GRAS Architects for their work at Kyle House, singled out for its ‘timeless richness and charm’.

Oliver Chapman Architects walked away with the practice of the year award having contributed two of the finest projects in this year’s programme; The Egg Shed in Ardrishaig and the Flitch House, Edinburgh.

This year the design field was dominated by Playdead who rocketed past the competition to earn a Grand Prix for their work on Basecamp Moon, a bespoke film commissioned by the Luxembourg Space Agency to inspire future exploration.

The design panel, chaired by Helen Fothergill, head of collections at Aberdeen City Council Art Gallery and Museums, had this to say: “It’s beautifully filmed and hangs together really well. It’s got everything. There is so much rich design on so many different levels. They do well to bring something fresh and excel on all fronts. How they mixed film and animation seemed correct for the processes they were trying to explain.”

Other big winners on the night included Freytag Anderson who walked away not only with the Design Agency of the Year accolade but also the chairman’s award for Rapscallion Soda, which is transforming perceptions of the soft drink sector through punchy packaging.

John Glenday, editor of media partner Urban Realm, said: “The Scottish Design Awards have capped a remarkable night to remember with a cavalcade of awards, commendations and presentations that kept conversation flowing – even if the only wine flowing was our own.

“As the first all-digital presentation in the history of the award’s, this year’s event saw us conquer a new domain and in the process communicate outstanding design to all corners of the country. Truly this has been our most democratic award yet.”

Architecture magazine Urban Realm bought the rights to the Scottish Design Awards from B2B marketing publication The Drum in March 2018 for a five-figure sum.

The architecture judging panel was chaired by Marina Strotz, President Birmingham Architectural Association; together with Brenda Jones, member of the Scotland board and national advisory board of the Association of Women In Property; Patrick Macklin, head of the Interior Design Department, the Glasgow School of Art, Dr Penny Lewis, architecture programme leader, University of Dundee and University of Wuhan; Riccardo Andrea Marini, founder of MARINI – URBANISMO and Robert Townshend, principal of Townshend Landscape Architects.

The design judging panel was chaired by Helen Fothergill, head of collections at Aberdeen City Council: Art Gallery and Museums, together with MT Rainey OBE, director at Charlotte St Partners, HAYS and Clearchannel, Rory Campbell, design director at Analogfolk, Neil Cooper, chief design officer at Brilliant Basics and Chloé Templeman, creative director at Design Bridge.

Drummer Michele Rabbia and guitarist Eivind Aarset had played many duo concerts, and Rabbia had also worked with trombonist Gianluca Petrella in other contexts, but this recording marks a premiere for the trio.Spontaneously improvised for the most part, and with mysterious detail flowering inside its soundscapes, Lost Riverkeeps revealing new forms. Rabbia’s drumming is freely creative and propulsive, and enhanced through his use of electronics. Aarset’s flowing playing will delight listeners who have enjoyed his Dream Logicproject and his contribution to recordings with Nils Petter Molvӕr, Tigran Hamasyan, Andy Sheppard and others. Petrella’s role as a principal instrumental voice will surprise those who know him only as a great “jazz��� soloist with Enrico Rava and Giovanni Guidi; his broad range is very well deployed in Manfred Eicher’s widescreen production in this recording, made in Udine in January 2018

چیست؟ رهبری از دید 33 مدیر برجسته دنیا

فرهنگ لغات وبستر رهبری را به‌عنوان «قدرت یا توانایی هدایت افراد دیگر» تعریف کرده است، اما اغلب مردم رهبری را چیزی فراتر از این تعریف می‌دانند. از هر کس بپرسید که رهبر بودن به چه معناست، احتمالا هر بار جوابی منحصربه‌فرد می‌شنوید؛ چون هر فردی ایده‌ی خودش را در مورد رهبریدارد و نیز هر رهبری به شیوه‌ی خود تیمش را هدایت می‌کند. بعضی افراد فکر می‌کنند رهبری به معنای راهنمایی دیگران برای تکمیل یک تکلیف خاص است، و بعضی دیگر باور دارند رهبری یعنی انگیزه دادن به اعضای تیم‌تان تا بهترین عملکرد را از خود نشان دهند. اگرچه تعاریف متنوع هستند، کل نظرات وجوه مشترکی دارند: رهبران افرادی هستند که می‌دانند چگونه به اهداف برسند و چطور افراد را در طی این مسیر تشویق کنند. در این مقاله از صاحبان کسب‌وکار، مدیران و متخصصان پرسیده شده که به نظرشان رهبری چیست و در پاسخ 33 تعریف مختلف از رهبری ارائه شده است.

«رهبری توانایی بیان و دنبال کردن چشم‌انداز تجاری بدون هیچ عذری است. رهبری به معنای استفاده از شهود برای هدایت خود و تشویق تیم‌تان برای همراهی است. رهبری یعنی گوش دادن به «صدای درونی»، حتی زمانی که وضع موجود خطرناک، ترسناک و چالشی به نظر می‌رسد.»
