Anyway this is just based off the tons of writing//ask games out there! so rules as follows;

Genuinely don't know what's up with the lack of full-body pics of their costume I can find. Anyway this is Maskmana, who Amato nicknames Pahla.

aaaand this is the MC guy, Amato. let me know if the links work funny.

It's fun to write Amato because I feel like there are some unfortunate similarities between his narration and how I think I write Apollo's narration. He reads kind of like a only-fifteen-speedran-acting-phase Apollo, if he started masking at fifteen instead of fifteen hundred. Hope that makes him easier to understand because I realized I accidentally write them too similar?

“Don’t-”

“I,” Amato snaps, because he saw this coming and gave a warning and he knows people don’t see him as smart but seriously?! “told you so.”

He’ll probably be spending the next week helping the construction workers with clean-up, like he always does with extra structural damage. He’s seen Pahla do it, too, albeit on social media posts and never in person-they’re allergic to him, after all.

But he is going to milk this I TOLD YOU SO for all it’s worth because! He had! TOLD PAHLA SO!!

The five-storey building’s support makes a Bad Creaky sound, and Amato makes his own Exasperated Creaky sound. “Mechabot, scan for anyone inside?”

“Ugh, seri-”

Amato silently shoves the side of Mechabot’s face. Not today, the motion conveys.

Mechabot grumbles again before relaying the scan. “Top floor, not close to any windows, two. One on the floor below trying to climb the staircases.”

Pahla’s already started to fly before Mechabot finishes-probably because they ran their own scans, and Amato groans again-he has got to hammer a few more ‘I told you so’s into their pretty metal head, apparently.

He waits a few precious seconds to watch who they’re aiming to save as Mechabot mutters his own disdainful comment, “I hate that guy.”

“Possible girl. Or anything.”

“Nah, I’ve spent enough time around you humans to know that kind of pride has to be testosterone.”

“Everyone has that.” Amato crouches, gauging flight distance.

“Yeah but Pahla has a staff shoved up—”

Amato smacks Mechabot’s head before he can stop him, a regular toss-up that comes with sharing a working body. He does this before taking off, so he doesn’t throw off his flight by accident.

He ends up going through the already-destroyed-by-stray-energy-blast window on the third storey. A turn down a corridor and he locates the civilian between landings in the stairway. She’s a small child, maybe seven or eight with a hijab that’s already covered in fallen ceiling dust along with the rest of her clothes. Amato offers her a reassuring smile. “Hey, you know who I am, right?”

“…Mechamato?” And gosh, if it’s never a rush to see hope ignite in people’s eyes. It’s sappy and stupid but that’s always the best reward he’s ever gotten, looking at the sheer delight and hope and joy when they realize someone’s here to help.

“Yup. I’m gonna come up, and you’ll have to hold on tight so we can get out, okay?” Amato flies up slower so it’s quieter, but the building gives another jolt and dust falls, like sand plummeting through an hourglass.

The child shrieks and—to Amato’s horror—a massive crack appears on the landing.

He darts forward immediately, firing up the jetpack to max. Amato barely manages to wrap an arm around her before the floor caves. He immediately cradles her for safety as the ceiling shakes ominously again.

She makes a sort of sob and curls her face into his chest and Mechabot’s face. Amato knows his armour is his best defence, but he dislikes it when there are kids to comfort—cold metal and Mechabot is worse than nothing, in his opinion. At least enough curry puff bribes have worn down Mechabot enough to not complain until after the saved person is no longer in direct contact. Now, complaints for scans are still a work in progress.

“Don’t worry,” he says, then dives through the crack.

Amato knows there’s another shattered outer wall on the second floor, blown out and matching the first. A turn through a corridor—dodging a piece of falling ceiling—and Amato flies though the makeshift exit.

As expected, because they’re clearly superior, Pahla is reassuring the two civilians they’ve rescued already on the ground, having surprisingly not ditched yet. One is an older man in a traditional samping and songkok, while the other is a kid maybe a year or two older than the child wearing a plain shirt and pants.

The boy lights up as the older man breathes a sigh of relief when Amato lands. “Amirah!” The boy cheers, running forward.

Amato lowers her gently and says, “Mechabot-”

“I’ve already scanned for injuries, none of them have any.” says Pahla, removing their hand from the older man’s shoulder where it was clasped reassuringly.

The older man makes a kind of scoffing sound. “See, Mechtomato? That’s what you should be doing—following a real man’s example. You shouldn’t be touching my daughter-and you were slow to save her anyway.”

This is in no way Amato’s first time dealing with a hyper-conservative adult, or child, or…person. Nor just Islam, but also Christian, and just…people tended to get touchy when religious touching rules and saving people guidelines got mixed. Amato’s been doing this for over a year now, he’s learned ‘move on and they will’.

“What did you just say?!”

Pahla’s fingers are twitching, like Mara’s whenever Amato does something really stupid and he’s assumed to mean she wants to smack something. Except it’s never him specifically-every time he assumes it is, it turns out to be someone or something else. She never lays a hand on him, and he’s always just attributed it to his physical gender and moved on.

“He touched my daughter, and last I checked Aba’s son-”

“He was saving her!”

“Yeah, and he did it slower than you did!”

Amato checks-the boy, who he assumes to be Amirah’s brother since the father hasn’t thrown a fit about him holding her-has Amirah held tight, a look of panic on his face. Amirah sans plaster dust looks unhurt like Pahla claims, and he turns his attention to the civilian-hero argument he knows isn’t worth it. Not after the blown-up videos, not after the bad press, and he’s sure Pahla knows too because they’re his age and they’re smarter, learning from his mistakes.

So what are they doing——

“You got saved and touched by a—!”

Amato throws a bucket onto Pahla’s head.

The plastic clangs sharply against their metal helmet, the remaining bits of grey water inside dripping off, pooling onto their shoulders and shieldmaiden dress. Jaws drop, Mechabot’s included, and Amato tugs the bucket off.

He doesn’t offer an apology.

The earlier fight with Fontastic had property damage that could’ve been avoided, because they. Didn’t. Communicate.

Amato had tried so damn hard to get Pahla to listen, and they hadn’t, and this whole shitshow could’ve been dodged.

He drops the bucket off to the side.

“I’d say see you around, but I know I won’t. You’re allergic to me and whatever I do.”

If Pahla says anything as he’s flying off, Amato doesn’t hear it.

Amato is Muslim and is the protector of a fictional Malaysian town. Same with the civilians just saved, so there's Muslim touch rules there--boys and girls can't touch, but can be disregarded when lives are in danger.

"But all of the targets are just mere children. I can retrieve the power watches in no time ! "

He points to the files photos on the hologram's screen as he want to persuade his admiral this is not a good idea .

"That the point Kaizo ."

"Because they are kids . The kids who are all same age as Fang , It would be easier for him to interact them ."

"But, it still- "

Kaizo still want him to change the idea but Maskmana cut off him .

"Kaizo."

"Are you underestimating Fang's ability ?"

"......"

"No sir , I believe his can accomplish the mission ."

"It settles then. Besides-"

"I have other mission for you .I think it's better if Fang doesn't get involve in this mission ."

".......Yes sir."

(Hours later in Fang's room)

"Fang ,take these files . You need it on the next mission and-"

Kaizo put a stack of books in front of Fang .

" I want you to master all these language and cultures before I send you for the next mission ."

"Wow, that's a lot."

Fang flip throughs the pages as he examine the books.

"So , when will our mission starts captain ?"

"...... Not ours , It's yours"

"Hmm?"

"This will be your first solo mission ."

"Do you think you can do it ?"

"wha- Yes ! Abang-. I mean- . Captain!"

"I'll send you off once you're ready. Remember the targets face first, that's many of them. "

"Ok?"

" Lets see -"

" Gopal , Yaya , Ying , Petir , Angin, Tanah, Aip?- wait why are the faces look the same ?, Air ?, Daun? And Cahaya???- there's seven of them ?!? -"

Kaizo leaves the room as Fang continue list out the targets info .

There's no point to stop Fang now, soon or later he will need to stand on his feet own .

....... Now he have to get prepare for the next mission.

It's been weeks that Fang have stay on earth and he have receive messages from him that he didn't have time to read .

At first, it is all about the mission progress .

"I have successfully enroll the same school with the targets ." "The power sphera that give them the powers - Ocobot , with unknow reason it will faints whenever it sees me . Which makes me suspicions to them." "Today the targets Pertir , Angin and Tanah still alert to me while the others who didn't have power still remain unknow . The elder sibling seem tell them to avoid me purposely ."

But it starts to change a bit .

" Today I met the target Cahaya and talks to him . He's very smart compare to the others ,he hypes up and become very talkative when he's sharing knowledge. " "The elder siblings seems not please the fact that they find out that target Cahaya become closer to me." "I have solve the problem with the power sphera , the targets have show there trust on me more ." " I have start walking to school with Cahaya every morning ."

He have change the way he address them .

" Aip have gain his power but he's unable to sleep peacefully because of the stress. So I tried to help but it didn't end ......well . "It seems like Api have a fight with Tanah , which is the reason that Api is stress . But they are now ease now as both of them apologizes to each other." "Today Air have active his power but ...... under some reason he need to loss weight before he go to fight Boboibot ."

"Cahaya is very curious about Boboibot and tried to dismantle it after Boboibot is defeat but Tanah and Petir stops him because it's was dangerous ."

It seems like Fang have befriend all of them but what make Kaizo more curious is "Cahaya".

Accorded to the files he read ,he's the youngest among the siblings and his power haven't been discover yet.

But with some reason Fang is attach to him , He's the one always get mentioned in his messages even it doesn't relate with the mission.

Fang's face panicked as I order him to fight with them.

Fang tired to look away as "Cahaya" wants confronts him .

Fang's moves got effected when "Cahaya" yells him through the force field barrier while he's fighting with his siblings.

Fang disobey my order and when against me .

"Cahaya" look very horrified when he witness me to strangle Fang as he tired begged me to stop and......

Are Api and Air seriously just destroy each other's attack and having a fight in the middle of the battle ?

Are they for real ?

Petir surprisingly stronger that I thought but not enough .

To surprise me the most is Fang have snatch everyone's watches and told me to stop the fight as he shows his loyalty to me .

Fang definitely look very regret after saying that he is not their friend, especially " Cahaya " starts to sob and asking him is he lying to him all the time being his friend .

Fang admitted that he have lied to them but definitely enjoy being friend with him that is definitely not a lie and apologies to him that he have find out he an alien in this way and sorry he have to leave now .

...... Kaizo definitely notice Fang is trying to hold back his tears after he have arrive to the ship.

Cahaya appear on the screen .

" Fang don't you dare leave after saying that you're sorry !" " I still mad at you for what you done but -" " I still want you to stay !"

Kaizo can see Fang's eyes light up as he heard what Cahaya just said.

"Lahap, Fang go to the control room ."

Kaizo cut off the connection .

" We have intruders to deal with."

Cahaya really have some guts don't he ?

Knowing he's powerless still have the guts to chase us to the space ?

That's impressive.

Kaizo have approve them have the right to keep the watch . Also tried to recruit them but failed .

" Before I send you guys back to earth-"

"I will need a word with Fang first."

"Privately."

He can feel the sharp glance comes from Cahaya .

" Yes , Captain."

"Wait Fang-"

"Don't worry Haya . He will not harm me now ."

"......Fine. Please be safe ."

(Kaizo and Fang is now in the control room.)

"What do you need to talk Cap -"

" Pang this is no longer a conversation between captain and soldier . But a conversation between a big brother with little brother. So ease up a little."

"Ok? Abang ,what do you want to talk ?"

"You're really attach to the youngest sibling, Cahaya . Don't you ?"

Fang's face flushed by Kaizo words .

"Well..... Yeah I admitted that , so is there a problem ?"

"So, what's he's like ?"

"Pardon ?"

"What's he like when he's with you ?"

"Oh-,that?-um......"

" He's really talkative around me , He's always curios about every things . The stars ,the space , the planet , the - hu, I couldn't even count ! He's someone who seek knowledge if he got a chance ! And-"

Kaizo look at Fang who is very tense just now , relaxed and happy as he keep saying things about Cahaya.

Kaizo make a conclusion . Fang may have befriend all of them but Cahaya holds a special space in his heart and that conclusion -

Also applied on Cahaya too.

" Hey Fang ?"

" Yes ? "

"Cherish him, It's hard to found someone like him nowadays."

"Even without you saying , I will and aways will !"

"And one last thing......"

"Do you think I didn't notice you sneakily hiding behind the door Cahaya ?"

Kaizo opens the door as Cahaya fell on the ground .

"!?!?"

" I understand that you're worry of Fang but -"

"I believe it wasn't half bad to heard what Fang think about you ."

"I'll leave you guys here now."

Kaizo septs out the control room as he leave them some privacy.

They still have a long way to go .

20240129. Mechamato Movie, Japanese dub! :D

So minggu ni ialah minggu pertama Mechamato Movie versi bahasa Jepun ditayangkan kat pawagam Malaysia. Kali ni sambutan agak kureng la makcik tengok, maybe sebab sekarang ni musim peperiksaan. Ataupun sebab Mechamato Movie ni ialah movie sama pernah tayang tahun 2022-2023, cuma tukar bahasa je.

So target audience mainly ialah yang dah tengok Mechamato Movie versi bahasa Melayu, dan jugak orang yang minat siri Mechamato versi Jepun. (Tapi kalau first time tengok pun boleh je, ada subtitle BM, BI ngan BC. Cuma tu la, sape suruh tertinggal banyak keretapi tengok versi Melayu - pawagam, Netflix, Astro First, dll. tahun lepas. Sekarang baru sibuk nak tengok versi Melayu. Dulu taknak tengok.)

Spoiler gila2 kat bawah. Sape tak pernah tengok, pergi tengok dulu baru baca spoiler ni.

Anyway. Perbandingan Mechamato Movie Japanese ngan Mechamato Movie BM:

1) Memandangkan VA untuk versi Jepun rata2 ialah non-Muslim, movie jugak ditayang kepada non-Muslim, memang mustahil la nak jumpa ucapan2 yang karekter2 Muslim ni sebut.

Assalamulaikum & Wa'alaikumsalam jadi "Ittekimasu" (saya pergi dulu) dan "Itterasshai" (selamat jalan) - diucapkan oleh Amato & makpaknya bila Amato keluar rumah.

The meremang-inducing Bismillah oleh Maskmana semasa nak buka jurus silat melawan Grakakus jadi "Kakugo shiro" (bersedialah kamu). Auto jadi tak remang.

Tapi kena faham. Audience untuk versi Jepun kebanyakannya ialah non-Muslim. Islam ialah agama minoriti kat sana. Dan banyak orang kat luar sana masih salah anggap Islam ni ialah... (faham2 sudah). So bagi hakak ni kira jalan selamat la supaya tak dicari point buruk oleh "nurtizen" (keyboard warriors) kat luar sana.

Tapi bila benda ni dibesarkan oleh team Monsta sendiri yang (1) sorang pun tak ada pergi tengok / pantau proses alih suara kat Jepun ke? dan (2) insist nak jugak ada Bismillah padahal benda dah siap ni, I be like "errr..." 🤦

2) Lagu "Temaniku" dinyanyikan balik ke bahasa Jepun dengan tajuk "Tomodachi". Suka versi ni. Hahaha jahat je

3) Lagu BBB (??? Beca Boys) dipotong so tinggal babak kejar-mengejar antara robot suruhan Grakakus dengan Amato + Mechabot versi Mechabeca. First timer maybe tak akan perasan, tapi mungkin perasan jugak sebab sebelum adegan kejar-mengejar ni, memang ada pertandingan beca tercantik dan Datuk Bandar ada umum persembahan oleh BBB (tapi benda ni tak berlaku).

4) Mid-credit scene pasal Boboiboy dipotong dan ditukar kepada secret ending team Maskmana jumpa Bago Go, tetiba abahnya Amato (Aba) muncul (movie BM tak ada benda ni, tapi YT Monsta ada kalau tak silap).

Ingatkan ada la versi Boboiboy kat end credit bila mid-credit ditunjuk secret ending team Maskmana + Aba tu, tapi takde. Hampa makcik. Hahaha

Maybe sebab BBB series, BBBM & BBBM2 tak sampai ke Jepun, idk. Atau maybe belum / kurang popular kat Jepun. Padahal boleh je guna mid-credit tu untuk (re-)introduce Boboiboy, cumanya faham2 je la, kena start daripada 1st season semasa 3-D animation belum canggih lagi.

5) Dari segi voice acting, Jepun ada ekspresi bagus. Tapi benda simple macam "Apakah??" dan "Tingginya!" dipanjang2kan.

So "Apakah??" jadi something like, "What the bloody hell is that???" dan "Tingginya!" jadi something like, "Whoaaaaaa it's too high, I'm falling!!!" (Bukan ayat Jepun sebenar. Makcik bukannya terer sangat bahasa Jepun boleh ingat ayat diorang sebiji-sebiji lol tapi memang panjang. Banyak pulak cakapnya.)

Sama la signature Amato, "Kan?" jadi "Da~yo na!"

So yeah, mulut tak sync dengan ucapan. (Kena faham, re-rendering mulut nak bagi sync dengan ucapan versi Jepun = belanja extra. Tak puluh ribu, juta. Sape nak bazir duit cenggitu 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂)

Ha tu je la yang makcik nak cakap. Memang spoil gila2 la kalau korang tak tengok movie ni tapi pergi cari review dulu.

Dah baca spoiler ni, ha. Pergi tengok. Now. Sekarang. Sementara ada tayangan ni. Dah la tempoh terhad je.
