TMayNT Day 11: Favourite Splinter.

*It's actually Mother's day here and I had work today so I couldn't spend AS much time on it as I'd have liked.

I like to think that as Splinter grows closer with his sons, Mikey will sometimes notice he needs a cuddle and picks him up/calls his brothers like this and they'll all just come over for a hug.

So Splinter seems to be one of the most controversial changes to Rise. Even people that like the show often are a bit put off by him. I have no attachment to any other version of Splints so I really like how he's this depressed (very reasonably) guy who had fatherhood thrust on him along with a bunch of other trauma and he just tries his best out of the kindness of his heart. And he can be suddenly really badass when he needs to be. I think it's debatable whether his best was "good enough". I don't think anything is exactly confirmed in the show and I don't remember exactly how much of his neglect is canon vs fanon so I won't comment on that. I do remember how he seems to start healing from his trauma and become closer with his sons which I think is sweet.

Hey folks! Sorry its been awhile, been preparing for college, super scared but also excited lmao

Mini art dump, one is just a doodle of my favorite turtle, other two are concept art for a ROTTMNT version of Leatherhead! (Design by me). My friends and I discussed that in our Kraang AU, the Mutanimals find a recently mutated Lou Jitsu, and he joins their group! This would take place around the time the Kraang find the turtles in the ship.

~ TMayNT Day 12: Favorite Splinter ~

He's watching the bullshit that is Kitsune manipulating and brainwashing Mikey, causing the worst distress to his family, the foot clan being literal pussy's to speak against Kitsune because of the horrible shit she would do to them if they tried (Tiger Claw actually has done that but was nearly killed because of it), attempt to summon her demon pall Kavaxas and then ressurect Shredder and open the world to the dead and rule all over it. There is more to this but I don't feel like going over all of it.

TMayNT Day Eleven: Favorite Splinter

It’s rise Splinter! He’s definitely very flawed but that makes him more interesting for me. Plus it lets him have some character development that I haven’t really seen so far with Splinters. So yeah, rottmnt Splints for the win ^^

I never needed an explanation for Raph's alienation towards his family, but this series does an excellent job exploring how being separated from his family right after his mutation traumatized Raph in a way that he is not comfortable sharing with the others.

Apparently when my younger brother was just born my mom found him napping with his blanket fully covering him, and she pulled back the sheet (worried he couldn't breathe or something) to find him fully awake staring at her. It scared the shit out of her and she still talks about it to this day lmao

This is such a funny father and son moment between these two, and I love it way too much.

Not only with Raph trying to get out of hearing a story from his dad that he's not interesting in/in the mood to hear, but also immediately wanting out the second he realizes it's about his dad's love life.
