Charlie Colin Dead: Train Founding Member Was 58

Charlie Colin, a founding member of the group Train, has died at the age of 58 after he slipped and fell in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium.

While circumstances around his death are scarce, sources told TMZ that no one found Colin until his friends returned home from their trip five days ago. His sister confirmed his passing to Variety.

it's wild to me that people don't see things going badly as deserved punishment for wasting time or making mistakes that caused them.

like of course the extra miles you have to walk now in the rain are deserved, you little fuck up, you missed the bus with your indecision and now you pay the price for your incompetence.

of course the class you wanted to take is sold out, idiot, you lagged and lingered and hemmed and hawwed about it instead of getting off your ass and committing to take it, and now you deserve how upset you are because it was your own fault it delayed in the first place

of course you deserve the fact that your knees hurt because you spent time walking to the store three times up and down the stairs, you incapable child, you kept forgetting things and you need to learn the consequences so maybe next time you'll actually fucking remember.

and somehow when I tell people this it's ME who's fucked up????? This is basic punishment theory for a mistake!! this is the most baseline stuff you do for children! if you mess up, you get consequences! You do something bad, you deserve to get upset and miss out on something you wanted, because you only get good things when you deserve them or do something good - if you don't get a good thing because you did something bad or made a mistake, you deserved it, because you need to learn to do better byb remembering how bad you feel right now and knowing that you WILL feel that bad again if you make the same mistake twice.

Orchid would be lying if she said she hadn't been counting the days until she returned home, to her pride and her lions.

One day, fell away into months and soon years since she'd last seen her father.

She barely even remembers his laugh, as loud as he was big. The largest lion she'd ever seen with her own eyes.

The young lion, heir to the West Marsh Pride, has been sent to a smaller pride to train. Orchid can still remember how the old king looked when he first said it, heartbroken to see one of his children leave despite knowing she'd return.

“It'll only be three years.” She heard Queen Hearth, her father's wife, say gently. “They'll return soon. Sooner than you think.”

But that was years ago, long enough that she barely remembers the ruddy color of the queen’s coat.

Three years have come and passed. Her journey home would begin soon, but she wouldn't be alone. She'd have Eclipse and Devine, her two wives.

Just one more day. Just one more month. Soon she'd be under the rainforest canopy once more with her father, truly ready to become Queen Orchid of the West Marsh Pride.
