I'm leaving royal watching. Karma never gets the Harkles and I'm so heartbroken about this. They've got fabulous PR right when the takedown was about to happen. He's the ultimate victim now that people will forget Charles has another son. I'm done.

Honestly, I think karma has hit them pretty well since 2018.

Let's face it, they were put in their place back in 2018/2019. Look at the Prince of Wales event where they were ushered to the side and not allowed to join the more senior royals. Not only that but neither TQ nor PP attending Archie's christening and PP was available.

They signed Netflix and Spotify but within a couple years Spotify dropped them and let it be known they were a nightmare to work with. Netflix is probably waiting out their contract. They might have "new" projects in the works but they are at the beginning stages and will never see the light of day.

Meghan had to preform her own parade march at the last IG to try and compete with Catherine from the coronation.

Harry might be getting invited to some events but they are B-C list events. I mean that flying award was bonkers.

Hollywood won't touch them. Not one red carpet invite. Not one yachting in the South of France invite from the billionaires. The same billionaires that would have invited back in 2018 but Harry wasn't allowed to accept.

I think karma has come nicely for them.

Timeline: Part 7 - October 2017

There are three installments of the "Meghan's PR Timeline" today, which will see us finish out 2017: October 2017, November 2017, and December 2017.

One particularly interesting observation about this period of time is that from mid-October to mid-November, there are actually whole days without a single item or piece about Meghan. It's very strange because from about the end of April 2017 to the end of September 2017, we were being bombarded DAILY by stories about Meghan.

Is the missing coverage because those pages, stories, and articles were scrubbed in 2018/2019 when Meghan's PR was cleaning up her image?

Did Meghan finally get the ring in early October and no longer needed her PR to pressure Harry and force him to propose?

Or is it the quiet before the storm (i.e., the engagement announcement)? Meghan decided to drop coverage to get more bang when the engagement was announced?

10/1/2017: Toronto Invictus Games Closing Ceremony. Meghan, Doria, Jess, and Markus arrive early and are in a box. Meghan arrives first and is caught directing photographers where to go and what angles to use. Harry arrives later. Meghan leaks that Harry and Doria met at the closing ceremony and they get along fabulously.

10/2/2017: Harry returns to London via Heathrow Airport and it's listed in the Court Circular. Meghan teases an engagement to E News and says that her friends have become Harry's family.

10/3/2017: Meghan merches her shoes from a September 2017 papwalk. She also tells Elle Magazine that she and Harry are unofficially engaged, and everyone knows.

10/4/2017: Meghan modernizes the monarchy if she marries Harry. Charles is in Malta.

10/5/2017: Ronan Farrow's Weinstein expose is published by The New York Times. Meghan merches her Invictus Games clothing - Opening Ceremony Outfit, Closing Ceremony Coat.

10/6/2017: Carole Middleton and Doria Ragland are the same.

10/7/2017: Charles's letter to Tony Blair about the hunting ban is published.

October 7th is the first day with no Meghan stories or Harkle coverage since early summer.

10/8/2017: Meghan has moved to London and is being driven by a royal chauffeur.

10/9/2017: Harry's ex Cressida makes the news for being connected to Harvey Weinstein. Jess Mulroney sources an "all about Meghan's bestie, Jess" story.

10/10/2017: Meghan's PR takes a dig at William and Kate, asking why they never hold hands. Kate makes her first public appearance since announcing her third pregnancy, implying that she is on the mend from HG.

10/11/2017: Meghan's 2011 film, Dysfunctional Friends, resurfaces. Her character is a photographer for male underwear models. Meghan tries to be a fashion influencer, gets linked to Julia Roberts, Naomi Watts, and Greta Lee as a major "power dresser". She also merches the nail polish she might wear for the wedding and/or the engagement announcement.

Meanwhile, Harry attends the 100 Women in Finance Gala Dinner. Kate's aide, Rebecca Deacon, receives the Royal Victorian Order. Buckingham Palace announces that Charles will lay wreaths at the Cenotaph for The Queen during the Remembrance Sunday service, and The Queen returns to London, ending her summer Balmoral haloriday.

10/12/2017: The Queen's first day back in London/work following summer holidays. Harry has #1 sexiest celebrity beard. (No, they're not talking about Meghan. They mean the actual hair on his face.)

10/13/2017: Meghan and Harry leak that they're house-hunting in the Cotswolds for a marital home and merch a few properties in the Daily Mail. Meghan also teases wedding speculation and Soho Farmhouse's newest financial report reveals that they lost $34.48 million in 2017 (hence the Harkle sponcon throughout 2018)

10/14/2017: Royals living in the US - forgotten Spencer cousins who call the American Pacific Northwest home.

10/15/2017: Meghan confirms that she is finished with Suits when Season 7 wraps in November. #MeToo movement begins and James Middleton, Donna Air split is revealed.

10/16/2017: Meghan leaks that she and Harry are already engaged but won't announce it until Suits filming has ended. Harry attends the WellChild Awards. Also, Harry tells people that he doesn't want a formal pageanty Cambridge-like wedding.

Meanwhile, Harry accompanies William and Kate to an engagement celebrating the release of Paddington 2.

10/17/2017: No new Meghan or Harkle stories, but Eugenie is papped in Los Angeles; William and Kate announce the baby is due in April; and Camilla gives a landmark speech on osteoporosis.

10/18/2017: Meghan leaks to the Daily Mail that she and Harry had tea with The Queen at Buckingham Palace on October 12th, and it's the first time Meghan met Her Majesty.

A little bit about Bo's family!

Eileen Spurlock (She/Her) - Widowed

Career: Head of Department (Salaryperson)

A career-minded woman, Eileen found herself with an unexpected and unwanted "situation" after a drunken closet romp with a co-worker at a holiday office party. She missed out on a promotion while on family leave and has held a grudge against Bo ever since. She was unable, and frankly unwilling, to bond with the boy which resulted in him acting out in order to get any sort of attention from her. She kicked him out of the house shortly after he became a teen.

Not long afterwards she remarried and had Meghan. Bo only met his sister once; his dislike of children comes from the realization that he was replaced with her.

Meghan Spurlock (She/Her) - Single

Aspiration: City Native

Traits: Romantic, Overachiever, Foodie, Snob

Career: Food Critic

Meghan only met Bo once whenever she was little and doesn't remember much about the encounter. She's a recent high school graduate who's naive, spoiled, and a bit stuck up... but she's not really a bad person. If she ever finds out who "that sim" was, then a lot of her opinion about her mom might change...

She doesn't talk to her uncle, mostly due to her mom insisting he's a useless bum.

Dennis Spurlock (He/Him) - Single

Career: "Freelance" aka Busking, sometimes selling song rights

While Eileen's sights were set firmly on soaring to the top in a business career so she could line her pockets, Dennis simply wanted to become a musician. He dropped out of high school and moved to Del Sol Valley with stars in his eyes, but quickly found that life there was harder than anticipated. It got even harder whenever he found himself supporting both himself and the young Bo.

Dennis had never had issues bonding with the boy despite his difficult nature. Their shared love of jokes, mischief, and pranks helped them through the tough times and made it easy to make up after any spats. It broke his heart whenever Bo took up stealing, but he understood why he did it.

Dennis has long wanted to tell Meghan about Bo, but Eileen won't let him be around her enough to let that happen.

The joke about Vajj Scratch wearing the slutty dresses in a muslim/christian African nation is that you normally take your cue, as Kate does, based on what the clothing is that the national costume is..covered up, modest, etc. In Markle’s case, I think she thinks they would envy her…they don’t. First, they are ashamed of her, because in their world having the money to buy the kind of colorful clothes that they can wear means you have money. Wearing little tiny dresses means you have no $ for clothes. Two, if you are that skinny, only poor people in the bush are skinny; fleshy women are the kind of real women they admire. Three, she has no real hair, to do up, to make into fabulous updo’s with dramatic coverings or to beautify yourself. That is all real beauty in their country…they would never see markle as a beauty. She has stringy, greasy wigs and hair pieces that are flat and do not make her look good. The jewelry she wears they would pity her not to have big bracelets, and necklaces (so they gave her some). Her tiny little rings and bracelets make her look ridiculous to them…they would think Harry must save lives or something else, because he does not have money to make his wife look like she can have expensive taste!

Meghan’s attire on her Nigerian trip has shown very clearly that she has no respect for her hosts or the culture and customs of the country she is visiting; she simply wants to make it all about her, 24/7. I do wonder who said something or put their foot down to make her cover up in the few outfits we saw with sleeves etc. 

I’m afraid that I don’t know what Nigerian beauty standards are, so I can’t comment on the rest of your post. I can say that the other high ranking women that I saw looked gorgeous. I loved their clothes (I love colour in clothes and modest dressing). They made Meghan look even worse by contrast, imo.

Tom Bower has all of the details about the Beckham v Sussex fallout. The Beckham even loaned their Beverly Hills mansion to Meghan before the wedding! Details on the fashion freebies and favours demanded, the delicious fact that what Meghan wore didn't sell, Harry refusing to meet David in Australia when he flew in to support Invictus...

This is amazing stuff. Of course, he's currently writing a biography of David Beckham so his sources will be impeccable.

Thanks! I think we knew or suspected this is how it went down. I’m glad it’s confirmed that Meghan wearing an item had little effect on product sales. Also glad they confirm most of the “sold out” products involved very small quantities. Very awkward having this come out as she’s hustling for new deals. Also, wow, that Australian tour was even more of a disaster than I thought.

A prior anon suggested that their desperate flight from the family was motivated by a general sense of failure. I feel like that’s correct. The press was hyping them so much that people thought they were wildly successful, but all that hype was not reflected in polling number, product sales, or charity donations, as many of us pointed out at the time.

Now it’s coming out that their “wins” (because Harry getting Beckham to the Invictus games was a huge win for him at the time) were not all that either.

This is in direct contradiction to the "reporting" by Tom Quinn in the Daily Mirror, who came in loud and wrong with the usual made-up nonsense and speculation that characterizes British royal coverage. "He misses his old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited, as they don’t get on with Meghan...Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security," Quinn asserted.

Quinn's fabulations, while quoted widely in the tabloids, are part and parcel of his many transparent attempts to inflict reputational damage on the Sussexes, and particularly on Meghan. The narrative the tabloids are attempting to create is always that the Sussexes are on the brink of divorce and Harry is just dying to crawl back to Britain: so it's nice to see American journalists coming in with some actual fact-checking.

I have little hope that this embarrassment will stop Quinn from continuing to publish lies. Like the rest of the "royal rota," he seems to have no shame. But it should be remembered that American reporters like Simon Perry at People and Erin Vanderhoof at Vanity Fair have real access to the Sussex team; Tom Quinn and the Mirror do not.
