I am thinking very soft thoughts about Adaman x Melli and it all ends in sad because both are too dumb and stubborn to actually confess and just keep up the bickering until they both die

Adaman 

the moment you feel something coming on, he’s insistent that you rest

he’ll continuously be warming soup for you

oh how he worries

but he puts on a smile and takes care of you to the best of his ability

he asks Mai to take on some of his duties/tasks so he can be with you at all times, and she’s happy to do so

but not before a slight argument about it

the cuddling will be nonstop

and you bet his and your Pokémon will be joining in

he keeps you SO warm

the forehead kisses are constant

he’ll even read/share bedtime stories with you if you’re willing to listen

anything you need, he’s on it

and once you feel better, he’s resuming his leadership duties

but he’s not taking his focus away from you

he’s got you by his side

“And don’t think for a moment that I’m gonna stop pampering you because you’re better… because I’m not.”

Volo

Volo is very much a wanderer

but when you’re sick, he’s staying put

he hates to see you in such a dreadful state

and he can’t bear to leave you until you’re feeling better

while you nap, he’s out collecting herbs and medicinal leeks 

he’ll make your favorite soup

and he’ll hand feed it to you

he’s a deranged; touch starved lunatic, so you bet he’s holding you at all times

his Arcanine will be your pillow (and your heat source)

and Togekiss is your entertainment

while he’s searching for herbs and leeks, he’ll also be hunting for little trinkets for you

because his poor, sick s/o has to have something special

this man has an ABUNDANCE of stories to share with you

and he’ll share ALL OF THEM, even if you don’t ask

once you’re feeling better, he’ll pack up and head out

you WILL be getting a kiss on the cheek (or lips) before he departs

“I’ll be back soon, y/n. If you start feeling ill again, I’ve left the recipe for the soup I made on the table.”

Melli

you’re sick, and Melli does NOT like that

he distances himself from you

and not just because of how gross you sound

but he’s TERRIFIED of getting sick himself

he’ll speak to you through letters delivered by Pokémon

and they’re very sweet letters

but once Adaman finds out that he’s ‘too good’ to take care of you…

you can hear that scolding from across the Diamond Clan settlement 

Melli will slowly approach you

and he’s absolutely disgusted

you can 10000000% tell that smile is forced

but once he settles in

he’s trying his best to help you

he’s hesitant to cuddle with you

but he assumes there’s no other choice

and once he feels how hot you are, he holds you a little tighter

since he’s here, he may as well be close to you

he apologizes for being rude, something he would NEVER do for anyone else

and he’ll send Pokémon to Adaman to request recipes for soups

you’ll probably end up making them yourself, though, because Melli can’t cook at all

he’ll learn eventually

once you start feeling better, Melli does indeed get sick

because he’s always running from illness, his immune system is a bit weaker

but you’re there for him regardless

💙 — When you finally give up the joke and tell him that the person you’re dating is, in fact, him, it’s like you just clicked the off switch. I mean, the tears are definitely still flowing but he shuts up instantly and stares at you like you’ve grown a second head.

⚫️ — I mean yeah, he’s also upset you’re apparently not single but all he can think about is how much he must have offended you and AUGH you’re so handsome and sweet and he was so clueless please don’t take it personally he doesn’t really know what’s gotten into him!!!

⚫️ — Probably the one you have to drop the joke the fastest with because you were NOT expecting this reaction at all and between all the sobbing and shouting you’re starting to worry about when the last time he actually took a breath was.

⚫️ — You end up needing to rub his back and scream your own apologies to him because you were only joking, the person you were dating is HIM!

⚫️ — At this he’s now just crying for a different reason, because he’s so lucky and you’re so handsome and he doesn’t know what he did to deserve this.

⚪️ — “Oh! Okay then!”

⚪️ — You’re a bit surprised by his unfazed reaction for being absolutely piss drunk, but after delivering that line he immediately pivots on his heel and speedwalks the hell away.

⚪️ — You call his name at first, and when he doesn’t respond and also looks DEAD SET on leaving whatever event you guys are at, you have to run after him calling his name all the while.

⚪️ — Drunk Emmet thought process: Dear lord, I’ve made a horrible mistake. I am extremely embarrassed. I’m going to immediately vacate the area and probably never come back.

⚪️ — You practically corner him because he is so, so fixated on leaving out of sheer embarrassment when you explain you were just messing with him and the person you’re already dating? That’s him.

⚪️ — By the look on his face, he practically needs one of those little buffering wheels above his head, because he is thinking HARD about this. His entire worldview has shattered. The earth has stopped turning. His wig is gone.

⚪️ — Eventually he just… climbs into your arms and lets you take him back to where you guys were. Both extremely embarrassed for a totally different reason now while simultaneously being in complete and total awe that sober him scored someone like you. Woah.

How's the Pokemon reader insert community? I know it's somewhat active...? I'm currently writing something for Adaman and I don't know if I can get it into a presentable state, but it really helps my process if I can get people to beta read parts of it and talk about writing/ the characters I'm writing for in general.

Adaman: So, you’re some sort of recovery agent sent from the future to retrieve Warden Ingo and Lucas?

Fraise: Yes, that’s the status of my mission, recover Ingo Trevithick and Lucas Damon and see them safely back home. However, at the moment I am currently assisting Mr. Trevithick in finding a suitable Warden candidate for Lady Sneasler in his absence.

Ingo: I won’t leave until I know someone is watching over Lady Sneasler.

Adaman: And Irida is fine with this?

Ingo: We discussed it, she’s upset but she knew this day was coming...

random things about the phantom thieves outfits (from Shadows in the night) because I can.

Shadows!Rei's phantom thief outfit comes with a cloak he can detach when he wants to do more tricks and acrobatics. When he has it on, he is more stealthy.

Shadows!Giratina is a ferret because that's the closest I could get to a mix between a cat (like morgana) and a worm (like origin forme Giratina). They also have origin form Giratina's mask for their mask.

Shadows!Akari's mask is basically the Zoroark mask from PLA. Currently in mh mind, her outfit is a light red and white version of Beni's ninja outfit, though her injured arm has a bit of leather armor on it.

Shadows!Adaman's outfit is based on the idea of the rogue spy/agent. (There's a joke about no time to die to be made here)

Shadows!Melli is a theater kid. His outfit is similar to both Skull's snd Fox's in my mind. Definitely punkish

Shadows!Cyllene is a ronin samurai in her phantom thief outfit.

Shadows! Ingo and Emmet have bauta masks with little cowcatchers (those things on the front of some train) on the pointy part of the bauta mask. They also have coats similar to their canon appearances in bw (and pla)

Shadows! Irida gets a pirate design cause I thought her design could easily translate to a pirate
