The Hisui Trio in my AU!! :D

I wanted to make reference sheets for the three, even though i took a ton of inspo from many things but its for investment i promise i promise

Those three are friends in this AU, they are all in the present world and they are like a family to each other tbh, they might get into a few arguments but they talk it out later on.

To be fair i think those three would give each other kisses, not in a romantic way though, its just more of a platonic thing i guess??

The three of them own dragon type pokemon, from gen 4, 6 and 8 (me like even numbers dont mind me), i kinda felt like these pokemon fit them best by personality (im not exactly sure for 100%)

Dropping the lore here :

The only way Adaman and Irida could go back and out of Hisui was by Volo taking them with him by going through portals with Giratina, of course the two of them got frightened at the sight of Giratina showing up right in front of their eyes for the first time but they got used to it later on.

As a gift of gratitude from Volo for still being accepted by Adaman and Irida even after everything he's done in the past, he made and gave a clone of Origin Dialga and Origin Palkia to them so that they could also travel through the portals or around the world without his help (he's getting tired from babysitting them pls let him live).

Adaman and Irida just live with Lucas, Dawn and Barry in Twinleaf Town, sometimes Volo comes by to visit them and hang out with them. Lucas and Dawn dont have memories of Rei and Akari, so they have no idea of what Volo used to be back then, if they would then oh boy they would try to kill him.

{With Dialga} Adaman possesses Steel type powers (or Metal Bending as they say), he uses it a lot for combat but also for reaching high places if he cant go up there or reach it by climbing, he bends the metal into a form of a long rope in order to get up there.

{With Palkia} Irida has Water type powers (or Water Bending), she is not really the type of a person to fight but she rather heals others, it also works on pokemon too, though sometimes she can kick ass once in a while if anyone drives her mad.

{With Giratina and Arceus} Volo has all the elements, including Dark type powers but he never uses those as he only sees the bad in them and never wishes to use them, reminding him a lot of Cyrus {bro hates him more than anything}, with Volo being an Archon, he can summon pretty much every pokemon, including the legendaries and mythical ones, and the ultra beasts, even though the legendaries are gods too and are feared by many, Volo however just sees them as misunderstood creatures/beings, as he has a better bond with them than with his own people.

Volo despises humans, he only sees the bad in them as he has only seen the bad things that humans did, and with Volo being isolated in Arceus's realm and being there for about 280 years (met Arceus at 20), he cant really change his opinion about it, even if he has friends that are different than the rest of the humans, Volo still has doubts that humans are good, unless proven to him. Sure, Volo is the archon and savior of this world and he is trying his best to make the world a better with no wars or catastrophies, he hates humans, but he just wants peace, but he is aware that even if this happens one day then the peace wont last forever, the world cant remain peaceful for eternity, theres always going to be something happening all the time and he will have to deal with it on his own.

Healing Takes Time — Adaman x M!Reader

💎 — Hisui is a dangerous place and injuries ranging from minor to severe are all too common. So Adaman’s not exactly a stranger to presiding over loved ones on bed rest.

💎 — Doesn’t mean he’s good at it, though.

💎 — Mai reminds him that the slow passage of time is just as important as things that happen in the quick, efficient manner that he prefers as well. It’s not a slight from Mighty Dialga being displeased, it’s just the nature of time. But he can’t just stand around when it comes to your health! Yes, rest takes time, he’s aware, but all this waiting feels the same as doing nothing to him.

💎 — Mai basically has to keep him away from you constantly because he’s always fretting over you, which is definitely sweet of him even if it’s not exactly helpful, but it is funny to watch the cartoonish shenanigans of Mai trying to constantly shoo Adaman away from the medical tent.

💎 — Even if what you’re recovering from isn’t serious, you’d never be able to guess that from how he behaves.

💎 — He essentially becomes your primary nurse and seldom lets you out of his sight if he can help it (thanks to Mai being the reasonable one, he usually can’t).

💎 — Once things calm down though, after the first two or three days when your recovery progress is becoming quite apparent, he’s less frazzled and more willing to leave you be. He just can’t help that impatience winning out, though, sometimes.

💎 — He’ll be there to help you with maintaining yourself while you rest, sitting beside your futon while you recover, brushing your hair so you don’t have to, keeping a fresh cold compress on you at all times if the problem is that you’re sick and feverish, changing your bandages if it’s an injury, all that.

💎 — If you’re okay with it, he’ll also happily bring his Leafeon to see you for some good old fashioned grass-type aromatherapy. I know Leafeon can’t actually learn the move aromatherapy, but it’s clearly made of plants and must have some kind of floral/herbal smell.

💎 — And since we know he is a house husband in the making guy with an interest in cooking, you bet he’ll be bringing you all manner of home-cooked meals.

💎 — He’s so dutiful, oftentimes he doesn’t go back to his own tent for the night and will instead fall asleep on the cold floor next to your futon.

💎 — Adaman is very sure to keep you abreast of all goings-on in the clan, usually nothing much of interest, but he does uncharacteristically bring you all sorts of gossip. It’s not that he likes to gossip, but while you’re bedridden he can’t think of much to entertain you with so this is what he’s settled on. And also he probably would like to vent his multitude of frustrations with Melli specifically because you just know 3/5 instances of drama involve some kind of category 5 Melli moment.

💎 — Once you start to recover and leave your bedridden state, he’s still just as present as he was before.

💎 — If it was an injury he’s always making sure you’re not overexerting yourself, and if it’s something that happened to your legs, he’s volunteering to help you walk around so you don’t put too much pressure on the injury.

💎 — For illness he’ll always be on your case about taking whatever medicines/remedies you were instructed to, because your recovery has already taken ages (to him) already, and he’s not sure he can bear seeing you sick for much longer.

💎 — Regardless of the reason you’re bedridden, he’ll always give you a kiss on the forehead when he enters the tent and before he leaves—though if you’re sick, he musters the self control to wait. Ideally he can keep that up, but he might get a little impatient… oh well. He needs to remind you how much he loves you, and if he ends up getting what you have, he knows you’ll care for him just as dutifully as he did you.

I’ve already written for Adaman and Irida comforting the reader here but I’ll include some bits from the wardens in this for you!

News of your banishment reaches the wardens slowly, as they’re not within the sphere of communication. As they return to their village, however, they learn of your banishment, and how Irida is hiding you in their village. And they rush to your aid, heartbroken for the betrayal you’ve faced

Ingo brings you kits, purring bundles of fur that nuzzle into you and mew mew mew for your attention. He shows you how they like to be petted, sitting close to your side to let you not feel alone. He’s here. He’ll protect you.

Calaba knows recipes of times past, passed down to her from her ancestors. She coaxes you into helping her make them, showing you how to prep meat and vegetables and cook them with pastas and breads to create the most delicious of foods you’ve ever tasted. As you eat, she pets your hair and promises you a home in the Pearl Clan, no matter what

Palina offers hugs and kisses to soothe you. She cuddles you closer, pressing kisses to your head as she rocks and sings. Her voice carries so soothingly, that even in your despair you’re able to sleep in her warm embrace. She stays by your side at night, to make sure you’re not haunted by nightmares

Liam doesn’t know how to help like the adults, so he takes to distracting you. He bring you his entire rock collection, and teaches you about each stone. He talks and talks and talks, anything to get you to smile at him, to get your mind off of the worry of how you’re going to solve the problems weighing you down

Gaeric is of the idea that exercise solves everything. He wants to go on runs together, to do push-ups and rock climbs until you’re too tired to worry about anything. But after you asking (or Irida scolding him) he eases down. Instead, he shows off his strength to distract you, having you on his back as he does push-ups or climbs mountains.

Diamond Clan:

The Diamond Clan is horrified to hear of the slight you've received, cast out of the home you thought you knew, could trust, could be safe within. They happily accept you into their village, and the members rush to let the wardens know what happened, leading them back to you

Arezu clings to you during this time, fretting over you even if you have no injuries. She takes you on what is basically a spa day, washing your hair, cutting it, styling it, and giving you clothes and such to model for her. She wants you to have a little fun, to forget your sorrows and relax. Anything for her favorite little faller

Mai has big sister mode fully activated. She mothers you quite a bit, fraught with gentle teasing to make you laugh and smile. She makes sure you're well fed and taking care of yourself on your journey to discover what to do, and worries about you constantly

Melli is furious. He hates you (so he says), but this is outrageous! To be abandoned like that! He vents to you about how terrible Kamado is, how cruel he is to do this to you, validating all your feelings of anger about what's happened. You hug him, and he yelps, groaning as he pats your head and continues on with his ran about how the Great Melli would never do that to you

Iscan cries a bit over your banishment. He feels for you, being so scared and seemingly isolated. You get many a hug from Iscan, who clings to you as though to protect you from anything else that could hurt you. You relish his hugs, his warmth, his protection, even if there are no monsters around. He has a lovely singing voice as well, taught by Palina, and his lullabies are beautiful, lulling you to sleep with ease

Sabi weeps too, once she gets to you. She cries about knowing something bad would happen to you and not doing anything about it. To make it up to you, she's on you like a Komala, clinging to you wherever you go. She wants to play, to make you little gifts and bring you things she and Braviary find while flying around. You have to assure her she's not to blame some, but even still, she wants to comfort you however she can

Melli is the tallest twink frolicking through Hisui

When I saw Volo, I thought he would be the tall guy™ for Pokémon Legends Arceus since his height is emphasised in his concept artwork. I was sorely mistaken. There is another stinky, smelly contender for this distinguished honour of tall guy™--an underdog, if you will.

This thing twinkie is rediculously tall. He has no right to gallavant through the fields of Hisui as such a long boi. For the sake of my self-indulgent fanfictions general curiosity, I decided to guesstimate how long this boi actually was. (Was? Is? He lived in the past. He was.)

The Volussy has a canon height of 190 cm in his concept art. Thankfully, they included some kind of canon height for one of these characters. The Pokémon game designers rarely add info like exact height or age, forcing silly humans such as myself to hyperfixate at 4am on such random details.

Using generator, am gonna assume that Akari is about 135,5 cm based on where she stands compared to Volo in the concept art. My estimates are in increments of 5 because they are a very rough estimate. Pls add more canon heights in the future for characters, Pokémon

There is immaculate HD wallpaper for Pokémon Legends Arceus featuring the literal GOAT Dialga✨️, and Akari standing beside the leader of the best Clan. The wallpaper shows both characters in the foreground which makes it easier to imagine the height difference. Hurrah!

After adding them into the graph, I would venture to say Adaman is somewhere around 170,5. Not in the same league as Volo, but size doesn't matter kings!

In his stinky concept art, sMelli is announcing how amazing Adaman is and for once, he is recognising someone outside himself as amazing.

I adjusted Stinky sMelli's pose to better see the difference between the two. The shoulders are slightly raised because of the pose. His knees are no longer weak and his palms are no longer sweaty.

The top of Adaman's head is somewhere slightly below sMelli's stinky shoulder. Adding him into the graph with this general difference leads me to speculate that this atrociously stinky twinkie is approximately 215 cm. He is well over 200 cm no doubt, which means only Zisu of the Security Corps could possibly rival him. She is super-ultra-mega tall!

I had to make a meme in light of this fantastic revelation

I can now understand how sMelli bodied every guard posted outside the Galaxy Expedition HQ. RIP Beaureguard. He invited himself and shoved his way up the stairs to include himself. He didn't even bring any of his Pokémon with him so I like to imagine sMelli either went for the cheap shots and kicked each guard in the pokéballs, or he threw them aside. He is apparently one of the tallest characters in this game, so I would expect nothing less out of a pissy twinkie like himself.

The insistence that that Irida is a minor is wild to me because that would mean Adaman spent the entire main storyline beefing with a teenager, and Adaman doesn’t waste his time on stupid things.

Anyway, she’s an adult—Rei literally, canonically refers to her as a “woman” early in the game—and there is nothing weird about speculating she and Adaman eventually end up together and have children that branch off into descendants like Barry and Perrin.

GF seems to be pointing in that direction anyway, as Irida suggests she and Mai (Adaman’s sister) talk about Adaman frequently, and Adaman himself starts to make more friendly overtures toward Irida postgame, including him arranging that the two of them should take a photo together (as a “symbol” of Hisui’s bright future — good lord, I could do up a whole post about the implications of Adaman thinking he and Irida being together means good things for Hisui and is a subtle hint at eventual clan unification) and the strong possibility that he asked her to come perform in the Diamond Clan Settlement. (Really, who else but Adaman would have invited Irida to perform the flute among the Diamond people?)

And look at this art from Take, the person who designed Adaman and Irida:

The tension. The closeness. It is easy to read the pair as falling into the enemies to lovers trope by design.

This toes into noncanon land, but I’ll also talk about Masters because it gives us more insight into what their relationship is like postgame. In story mode, Adaman and Irida argue, sure, but there’s also a level of synergy between them that’s very interesting. They finish each other’s thoughts. They bounce ideas off each other. They consult with each other (off screen) and decide to stay on Pasio and place their Pokémon into Poké Balls.

And then, in the trainer lodge, their favorite conversation topics include each other. For those who don’t play Masters, the lodge is an area where you can interact with and build friendships with various characters through conversations. In short, you select from a randomized list of conversation topics, and each character has a three-tier list of possible conversation topics; the more the character enjoys the topic, the more points you score. “Irida” is a top-scoring conversation topic for Adaman, and “Adaman” is a top-scoring conversation topic for Irida. The game makes it obvious that in spite of their bickering, they’re now friends!

In conclusion: Ship away, my friends. The fanfic practically writes itself.

I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS TOO OP!! Warden Ingo is obviously the sync pair that I want most. I want him so I can put him on a team with Emmet and Elesa ;-;

But I don’t know if he will actually appear, and if he does is almost certainly won’t be in the first “wave” of sync pairs.

This may get a bit long, apologies, but these are all of my thoughts. I have been speculating on Hisuian Units for a LONG time, so I have many thoughts haha. I have not spent any gems in months and have 100k+ saved up because I expected it would be a matter of “when” and not “if”, considering the Pokemas community pointing out Pokemon themselves labeling PLA as a mainline game and DeNa’s apparent contractual obligation to include mainline games.

Here is what I think below. You did not ask for this OP, but this is my mountain of thoughts.

INITIAL SYNC PAIRS

Now, I believe Akari, Rei, and Volo will be initial, obvious sync pairs.

The trailer we got shows Dawn and Lucas, and I believe they’re going to be looking at Akari and Rei.

What I’m hoping is that this isn’t used to label Akari and Rei as Dawn and Lucas alts. I don’t think they will, as this would strip them of their names Akari and Rei, and they’re already being introduced as Hisuian Units (NOTE HISUI, NOT SINNOH), but the pokemas community seems to be entertaining the idea a lot, as doing this would “confirm” the popular fanon concept that Dawn is Akari/Lucas is Rei.

And Volo, I feel like is going to be a given unit. A pokemas leak account I follow along with reshared a gif with Akari and Volo in it before the trailer reveal. But also, DeNa treats Hisui as a Region the same every other region has been treated, they will need a standout villain for their Villain Arcs.

AND, this means Hisui will get a free Legendary Sync Pair added to the menu. Just like Zinnia and Rayquaza, Ghetsis and Kyurem, and Hop and Zamazenta. Every region has one, and Hisui will need one too.

I think it will be Volo to get this. And I’m expecting it to either be with Origin Forme Giratina, or Arceus themselves; both are viable for a Hisuian VA narrative.

But if the Legendary Sync pair is not Volo, I am expecting it to be Cogita and Enamorus.

HISUIAN POKÉMON

I’ve been thinking on possible sync pairs for a while. I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t go this way at all, but I feel like Hisuian Sync Pairs will mean for the most part, this is meant to present Hisuian Pokémon too.

I am leaning towards the idea that Akari will get a Hisuian Samurott, and Rei a Hisuian Typhlosion. The promotional merchandise that we got with the game always paired them together.

(And Laventon is paired with Hisuian Decidueye in the merchandise as you can see, so I’m expecting him to be a sync pair eventually, moreso to fit Decidueye into it and round out the trio.)

I am also expecting Irida and Adaman as very initial sync pairs. And I expect their partners to be their eeveelutions.

I expect alts for them later down the line, with Origin Forme Palkia and Dialga. Or alternatively, they start with Origin Form Palkia and Dialga, and get added to the Trainer Lodge with their eeveelutions as alt sync pair rewards.

WARDENS

Going with this theme of introducing Hisuian Pokémon, I am expecting wardens to be introduced with their nobles. (Though Lord Avalugg might not be quite as big obviously… DeNa is good at giving throwaway explanations for stuff like that though)

Pokémon seems to always group their promotional merchandise and Pokémon together with the groups they were initially revealed to the public with. If you notice right now, they always release Smoliv merchandise with Lechonk and Pawmi merchandise. And Cetitan merchandise always comes out with Fidough and Paldean Wooper merchandise, etc.

If DeNa would somehow follow this pattern, that means their first warden sync pairs might end up being Mai with Wyrdeer, Lian with Kleavor, as these were the first (and only) wardens properly publicly revealed on social media.

I want every warden to get a sync pair. Of course a lot of people are probably hoping for that. All in all, that would be 10 sync pairs just for them though, and that is a lot just for the wardens. Considering Galar only has 31 sync pairs right now (15 if we are not counting alts), this could take a LONG time to get all of them, if we ever even do.

And as much as I want Warden Ingo immediately, I want them to go through every area and their wardens chronologically. I want every warden.

But DeNa has to be aware that there is a considerable amount of people that want Warden Ingo as a sync pair specifically. The battle subway theme got its own remix because of their popularity. I hope they play into this marketability and make Warden Ingo’s inclusion a matter of when, and not if.

OTHER SYNC PAIRS

Of course, there are other characters that can be added besides the wardens. I am betting on Kamado being added as he was a promotional figure for the game before PLA was out. And I’m expecting him to have Snorlax. If Cyllene is added, I’m expecting abra. (Not a viable Pokémon at all, but I’m not really expecting her to be added.)

I want Zisu to be added very badly. And she has a Hisuian Zoroark on her team, which would be a great reason to include her if DeNa really does just care about Hisuian Pokémon inclusion.

Beni gets added? Gallade. Miss Fortune Sisters? Gengar, Toxicroak, Abomasnow (but that is 3 sync pairs right there so I’m NOT holding out on them). Pesselle? Crogunk. I’m not expecting any of these sync pairs as I list more of them, but options are there.

ALTS

Every regions gets alts. I am expecting alts from Hisui too.

Firstly, I’m expecting alts could introduce other Hisuian Pokémon. Their selection is small enough that I feel like some alts could be used up to try and achieve this. Overquil and Hisuian Goodra could be used in sync pairs in an excuse to make an alt. Hisuian Zoroark would be high up there on consideration I assume, but I’m really hoping they just include Zisu for that rep instead.

Secondly, I’m expecting a Ginkgo Guild Volo alt. (Or this is the base unit, and Arceus cosplay Volo is the alt) with togepi evo line as his sync pair.

I imagine DeNa could work with the narrative and include festival alts for Akari and Rei, but at the same time I don’t really expect it. Except for a few, almost every Pokemas Alt I can think of is tied to a non-canon themed event as opposed to their actual narratives within their games.

END THOUGHTS

NOW. I have some thoughts on what the narrative could possibly be for the Hisuian event, but I won’t even touch that right now seeing as how long and boring this whole post already is. Perhaps another time.

I am just really excited for more Hisui rep. I’m excited to see these characters again and get to see more interactions from them. I love PLA; it reinvigorated my love for Pokémon and helped me make so many good friends.

Its special to me, and I care about it a lot. So that said, I won’t take anything DeNa does with them too seriously. I just want to have fun with this event and enjoy my Hisui Rep, however much of it we actually get.

I know you didn’t ask for all of this, but I have been hoping for this for months and incessantly snooping in the datamine community hoping for this scenario I thought would be too good to ever truely happen. A letter to my ghosts

Irida thought that space was sacred. Adaman thought it was all about time. There was little they agreed on, but the tragedy of the sky fallers was a shared view. For someone who's displaced in both time and space, there is little to do but to try to move on, find a place to live, forge new bonds.

It was a bad habit he had before Ingo even went missing, but once he disappeared it intensified. Ingo disapproves of his habit, and if he found out about it again, he still would.

Volo also smokes. They have a fancy pipe they like to use.

Volo n Emmet take smoke breaks together. They don't talk much during them, but the presence of the other is enough to make them feel so much more at ease.

Emmet thinks Volo looks ethereal. Which is why I use descriptors like "golden" and for them. Those are descriptors from Emmet's pov (he's the only one who interacts with him, so there's nothing else to compare to though) To him, their beauty is pure and ornate.

Volo is basically rich. They built their wealth over the many many years they were alive. They own many properties and the like throughout Sinnoh, so they're never worried about getting around or having a place to stay, making them the perfect travel companion for Emmet

So, i have this Clanleadership Au in my head that is so overly complicated and that i have no the time, energy or capacity to writte.

Ok, hear me out lovely people on tumblr is a kind of Pride and Prejudice Au, especific undercut because is gonna be long.

First Irida is Lizzy because of course, Palina must be Jane and Akari is a combination of all younger sisters, she is kind of the odd. Gaeric is their father and he is a widow.

Is a kind of Pride and Prejudice Au not a literal thing.

Mister Gaeric still have the problem of only daugherts no real heir in the family so he must do his best to married their daughters. The problem is different than in the original because he think all men in the world are not enought for any of his totally perfect daughters specialy if we talk about Irida wich create a lot of problems with society because he tend to talk without mesuaring his words.

So the DIamonds arrive. Adaman and Iscan comes visit town and they are super rich and in the haunt for good wives, Melli comes with them because we need someone winy enought to be the bitchy sister. So, Iscan and Palina fall in love but Irida and Adaman bump heads, Irida has the impression that Adaman is just too acelerate, always running and never serius down classic Irida and Adaman things, also he is too flirty with every damsel that cross his way.

In some point Iscan invite Palina to his house but Gaeric refuse the invitation because how he dare, but Palina goes anyways and get catch by a rain and get sick. Irida visit the Diamond mansion in order to see her beloved sister and the result is in more fun shananigans betwen Adaman and her. At the end Gaeric go and return his daughters home. Everything goes so well and Irida and Palina are sure than Iscan would propose soon. But sorprise sorprise the Diamonds leave town without a word and Palina is hearthbroken.

Along with all that fun plot the Army comes to town and we cast Volo as Wickan because who else?? He and Irida kind of talk and became aquantance and trash talk Adaman so much because something happend betwen the two long time ago. Also Also Volo and Akari also form a frienship, but is only in the background for now.

So Irida is decide to found out what the hell happen and why that guy reject her sister so she travel to the city with the excuse of studing, she studing herbs and medicine with The old Cabba and she offer her a travel.

In the city she found the diamonds including Adaman sister Mai and they become really good friends, and Mai tell her that Adaman is a good man, for example he saved his friend from a bad marriage, said so he broke Palina and Iscan.

Irida is piss by this and confront Adaman who because this is a PaP Au confess his love and get reject soooo hard. Irida reclaim everything to him, incluing his disagrament with Volo even when she have no idea of what the hell happend betwen the two. This fic in my mind is just an excuse for writte this scene by the way.

So, that happend, Irida comes back to her little town and recive a letter from Adaman explaining why he acted the way he acted. Classic missundersteand concerning Palina and Iscan relathionship and the hole Volo situation. Result that he and Volo were childhood freinds, he was a merchand and Adamans Father a lord but after the father died it became abuntaly clear that Volo is a conman, a burglar, a thieft, and over years and years to stole from Adamans family he lead one of his cousins (Rei) to a life of crime. Adaman get to save his little cousin at time and forgive Volo with the condition that he must go and join the army and do something of his life.

Irida is shock by this revelations, but continue with her life, regreting some of her behavior toward Adaman. Maybe by this point Palina is out of town, the Pearls obviusly leaves in a little town on the mountains and Palina for some reason travels to the beach.

As a friend of Irida, Mai invites her to her birthday, so Irida travels to that even were she encounter Adaman again and sparks fly around them, Irida is having lovely feelins but when things seems promise she recive the news that her little sister Akari run away with Volo.

Gaeric runs to get his daughter back but Irida is frithing becuase well... Volo is a soldier and Gaeric is an old widow, so the family is in complete chaos but out of nowere the police catch Volo, and Akari and Gaeric comes back home safetely.

Everyone is happy, and more when the Diamonds return and Iscan propose to Palina. Adaman also is there but Irida is sure that he must hate her now.

But but but in the final revelation Akari tell Gaeric that it was Adaman who find Volo before the police and save her, but make her promise to never said nothing to her oldest sisters, so Gaeric realized that Adaman and Irida are in love and give her the pep talk.

Irida then runs dramatically to Adaman and confess her feelings and they kiss and live happily ever after. THE END.

This post will be discussing leaked content for Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC concerning a leaked new Pokemon and its possible involvement in the story. So for everyone who actually has been looking into the leaks for Teal Mask or just doesn’t particularly care about spoilers, I wanna talk about my thoughts on Perrin and her side of the story now that we’ve seen all the new and returning Pokemon for this DLC.

In one of the more recent trailers for the Teal Mask DLC, we see Perrin telling the player she came to Kitakami to find and photograph a “certain Pokemon.”

At first I assumed this might be Ogerpon, given that Perrin isn’t a native and therefore may not have as much information on Ogerpon, however the recent leaks gave me another candidate that I think is way more likely and logical than Ogerpon.

I’m referring to the new “Blood Moon” form of Ursaluna that was recently leaked.

One thing that stood out to me about this new Ursaluna since its “reveal” was that it isn’t labelled as a Paldean form or some kind of regional variant to Kitakami, it’s only ever been referred to so far as “Blood Moon Ursaluna.” This, along with one of its leaked dex entries mentioning it drifting across the sea to Kitakami as opposed to being a native variant, makes it seem possible that this Ursaluna may be a unique, one of a kind form rather than a widespread variant, which I think would make it a very good candidate to be the end goal of Perrin’s storyline

Alongside this, Ursaluna would be a very fitting Pokemon to connect with Perrin. Perrin is pretty blatantly meant to be the descendant of Adaman from Legends Arceus, and Ursaluna is a Hisuian Pokemon, which already gives them a reason to be associated. To add to this, Ursaluna’s evolution line in Legends Arceus can be found in the wild in the Crimson Mirelands area, which is where the Diamond Clan lives, which gives Ursaluna in particular more of a reason to be involved with Perrin.

So those are my thoughts on why Ursaluna is probably the “certain Pokemon” you’ll be helping Perrin find in Teal Mask. I was originally gonna discuss Shaymin as well since the leaks apparently confirmed it to be coming back alongside the Sinnoh Starters in this DLC instead of Indigo Disk, however they weren’t included in the regional dex leak which pretty much confirms they’re just transfer exclusives for now. Curious to hear what you guys think.

Adaman:

Adaman loves you, how sweet you are, your endless affections. You press your head into his shoulder, nuzzling not unlike his Eevees, and he falls harder for you.

"Adaman?" You ask him, eyes wide and innocent. He grins down at you like the lovestruck fool he is. "May I kiss you?"

"Of course!" He exclaims, leaning down to seal your lips in a firm kiss. You smile as he pulls back, but Adaman isn't satisfied. "You ask me every time even though I always tell you that you don’t need to ask. Why?"

You cow from him suddenly, eyes casted aside. "Because one day you might not want a kiss from me."

Adaman responds with another kiss, this one even firmer. And then he gives you another. And another. He wraps his arms around you and dips you back further with each kiss. You grip his shoulders, hanging on for dear life as he kisses the breath from your lungs.

"There will never be a time I don't want to kiss you." Adaman murmurs into your mouth. "So don't ever think that again."

You can only nod before he's kissing you once again.

Melli:

The Great Melli does adore the affection you shower him in. You treat him like he's made of something fine and precious, and he loves every moment of it. His boasting takes a turn to include you whenever someone's around to listen. It's kind of sweet, but the other wardens are still tired of it.

"Melli?" You ask him, during a break in his spiel about something Lord Electrode did the other day. "May I kiss you?"

Melli smirks to hide the flutter of his heart. "You may." With a smile, you lean in, pressing a warm kiss to his lips. When you pull back, Melli cocks his head at you. "You know you don't need to ask to shower me in your love. I expect it anyway. So why do you continue to ask?"

You glance away quickly. Melli's brows furrow, and he reaches to touch the hand you have rested between the two of you. You lift it before he can take it, though, using it to rub the back of your neck.

"B-because. . ." You trail off, bite your lip, then glance at him again. "Because one day you might not want a kiss from me."

There's an admission in what you've said, and Melli knows it. He knows what you're trying to say, the insecurities you have tucked away inside of you, some thanks to him, others thanks to people with sharp tongues.

Melli damns them all, himself included, and reaches to cup your cheek. You lean heavily into the contact, cradling his hand with your own.

"I will always want a kiss from you." Melli whispers to you. "I'm the one who should wonder if you'll ever not want a kiss, not you. So, with that said, may I kiss you?"

Your eyes are glassy, but you nod. "Always."

So Melli kisses you, pouring into your lips the affections that he holds for you. Maybe now you'll stop asking and just kiss him. He'd like that.

New Year, New Me, Same old OCs. Here's a list of my protag OCs/Canon Protags with Headcanon Personalities. Not including Kanto and Johto because I still haven't played those games and my perception of Red is pretty solidly colored by @heavenlysphere's portrayal of him (sorry for tagging you, Maverick) and Alola because I kind of... forgot to make one. I'm also including Protags who serve as rivals if you don't pick them.

Marie "Mare" Lillian Birch: My first ever and longest running Protag OC, she's the protagonist of ORAS and also my fanfic An Account of Rayquaza's Chosen. Short and mad about it she has Aura Powers, allowing her to understand Pokemon, and is the Chosen of Rayquaza meaning Rayquaza likes her a lot and lets her use its power sometimes. Despite being somewhat overpowered, she's limited by her strict moral code and deep well of trauma. Her last name is Birch even though she's the protagonist because Norman is her step-father and her mom is Professor Birch's Sister.

Brendan Birch: A real brat of a boy and Mare's cousin, Brendan is desperate to prove he's better than her at literally anything, something he consistently tries and fails at because, despite claiming to be the best battler in his school, he's really bad at battling. Eventually, he finds enjoyment in something he is good at and actually enjoys and becomes a star Coordinator with the help of Lisia.

Detective Annabelle "Ann" "Dawnbreaker" "Dawn" Berlitz: Sole heir to the Berlitz family fortune and protagonist of Platinum, Ann has an obsession with classic noir style detective stories to the point where her goal in life is to become a Private Detective, much to her parents' chagrin, to the point that she wears a trenchcoat and fedora at all times and has a habit of diving into detective monologues. She goes by the codename Dawnbreaker, shortened to Dawn, because she met Looker and thought the idea of having a codename was really cool and all detectives should have codenames. She is the Chosen of Dialga and uses her powers over time in conjunction with her her partner, Lucas', power over space to solve crimes nobody else can as the Time-Space Detective Agency. It's kinda like Ghost Trick except they can only reverse a death under very specific circumstances.

Detective Lucas "Luca" "Lux" Diamant: An incredibly bright boy from Sandgem town, Lucas shares Ann's interest in Detective stories, gaining a reputation around town as a sort of Encyclopedia Brown-type detective, solving small cases like missing shoes or some kid's con scheme. His intelligence got him tapped by Professor Rowan to be his research assistant, a job he quite enjoys. He goes by the codename Lux for the same reason Ann goes by Dawn. He is the Chosen of Palkia an uses his power over space in conjunction with Ann's power over time to solve cases no one else can. He is also descended from Adaman and consequently is cousins with Calem and Perrin.

Hilda Kyoko: A rough and tumble girl from the streets of Castelia City, Hilda keeps the streets of Castelia safe from unwanted troublemakers (gangs, mafia, Team Plasma, etc) as part of the Castelia City Girls, a band led by Roxie (the band would later move to Virbank City and change its name to Koffing and the Toxics following Hilda's departure and Roxie becoming a Gym Leader, leaving Castelia's protection in the hands of a successor band that took up the band's old name). She is the Hero of Truth and Chosen of Reshiram, revealing the truth about Ghetsis to the world. Her connection to N isn't as strong in this universe since Mare serves as his foil instead so the reason she leaves is to track down an escaped Ghetsis, who she believes to have fled the region. She's also friends with Victini who will occasionally lend her its power when it feels like it.

Hilbert Ashton: An ordinary teenager from Nuvema Town, Hilbert dreams of becoming the very best, like no one ever was. A veritable Pokemon Master, one could say. And the first step on that journey is to become Champion of the Unova Region.

Rosa Florence Annie Bridgewood aka Stella Black aka The Riolu/Lucario Girl: A bubbly, happy-go-lucky teen actress whose breakout role as The RIolu Girl aka Stella Black in the first Brycen-Man film has shot her into the spotlight. She convinces her agent to let her go on a Journey with her friend and rival Hugh as a publicity stunt to promote the upcoming movie "Brycen-Man Strikes Back." As part of the stunt all League battles have to be taken on in-costume and in-character as The Riolu Girl (and later the Lucario Girl when her Lucario evolves), with the Gym Leaders being hyped up as sensational villains (some of them, like Elesa, get super into the role while others, like Cheren, put no effort into trying to sell it at all). Most of her battles against Neo Plasma are also taken on in-costume. She is not a Chosen but is best friends with most Legenaries, gaining the favor of both the Legendary Birds an Legendary Beasts as well Victini, Meloetta, Reshiram, and Zekrom. Even Kyurem likes her and Kyurem doesn't like anyone.

Nathan "Nate" Lumiere: An aspiring Cinematographer, Nate is an intern at Pokestar Studios. He finally gets a chance at making his dream a reality when Rosa asks for him specifically to film her battles against the Gym Leaders.

Calem "Cal" Xavier and Serena "Rena" Yvonne: They are a pair, do not separate. Despite not being related, Calem and Serena refer to eachother as Brother and Sister and share a deep bond, essentially being raised together. Calem is the calm and rational one while Serena is the Chaos Gremlin of the two, leading to much siblingly bickering and teasing. Excelling at Multi-Battles, each sibling can practically read the mind of the other making them a terrifying combination in battle but also meaning any matches they have with eachother always end in a draw. Two of the few Protags to actually become Champion and keep the role, they're referred to as the Twin Champions despite Serena being a year older than Calem. Calem is descended from Adaman, making him cousins with Perrin and Lucas, and Serena is descended from Irida.

Kai Riposte: A fencing prodigy and the protagonist of SwSh, Kai prefers fencing to Pokemon battles, going on a Journey to make sure her friend Hop doesn't get into too much trouble. Originally from Spikemuth, a fact her mom insists they keep secret so the neighbors won't judge, much to her annoyance, she doesn't get the big deal about Dynamaxing and almost never uses her Dynamax band.

Juliana Violeta: A quiet girl who is incapable of using first person pronouns (that's not a metaphor she literally cannot use I, Me, etc), she prefers to simply not speak at all, and when she does speak she keeps it short and concise. Despite all appearances, she's actually very friendly and open to making new friends. Nemona, who does enough talking for the both of them, appoints her as Vice President of the Student Council with Penny as the Treasurer (cause she's good with numbers and the position supplies her with certain privileges the can exploit for the purpose of Operation Starfall) and Arven as the Secretary (because they needed a Secretary and it allowed him and Juliana more time to speak). She bonds with Miraidon.

Florian Escarleta: A boy who is even quieter than Juliana. Unlike her, he prefers to keep to himself, being extremely shy and having difficulty interacting with other people. He is very creative and enjoys telling stories but is too nervous to show them to anyone. He eventually becomes Student Council Stenographer, keeping record of everything that happens in the Student Council Room as well as transcribing Student Council Meetings, revealing a surprising amount of wit on his part that he'd never display verbally. He bonds with Koraidon, an impressive feat since it hates everything.
