... Been double-crossed by your own Uterus? Welcome to the club. Periods are already annoying enough, but when you leak through your clothes on a heavy day, it just makes everything that much worse... Not only is it embarrassing, but bystanders aren't always understanding. - It's so easy to say menstrual cycle is a beautiful, God-given gift that celebrates your feminity, so what's there to be embarrassed about, right? But get this, when you are spotting a bloody map of Nigeria on your perfectly laundered white skirt or that your fave jeans, pride is the last thing you'ld be feeling. - Honestly, is there any woman out there who can confidently say they've never had an embarrassing menstrual staining story? Let's talk, comment down below ⬇️😩🤒😳 . . #digitalart #digitalillustration #menstruation #menstrualcycle #uterus #period #woman #female #gender #creativewomen #periodart #melanin #blackgirlmagic #endperiodstigma #periodstruggles #periodmemes #menstrualcramps #onmyperiod #pmsproblems #menstrualproducts #selfloveart #bodypositive #bodypositivity #bodypositivityart #oderatheartist (at Period Pains) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cge-v0Dsaep/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

In India, 23 million girls drop out of school early when they start menstruating, and many end up facing acute health problems.
Right from being treated as “untouchables”, to being forced into early marriages, the taboo around menstruation has adversely impacted lakhs of women for centuries. Only 36 percent use a sanitary napkin's bare essential of menstrual hygiene.
Highlighting this, a UNICEF study states that 71 percent of adolescent girls in India remain unaware of menstruation until they get their first period.
To promote menstrual hygiene and awareness, Parkshala has conducted menstrual hygiene workshops and Sanitary Pad Drives!

Controversial Topics
So I post a lot of controversial things solely because the things I post about shouldn't be controversial. They should be normal conversations and normal topics. Such as.
Gay marriage should just be called marriage. Nothing else.
A trans person should be called a person. Nothing else.
A gender nonconforming person should be respected. Nothing else.
Abortion should not be murder. We shouldn't be getting mad at women for getting one.
We shouldn't be using religion to justify our option.
Guns should be for protection and hunting. Nothing else.
A black person should not be treated any less than a white person.
Racism should be nonexistent.
Everyone should be vaccinated.
Pitbulls shouldn't be categorized as aggressive.
How we raise our kids shouldn't be up for debate.
Buying menstrual products should not be taxed.
Birth control should be free.
Health care should be free.
Mental health screening should be free.
Mental health shouldn't be awkward to talk about.
These are my opinions. Either your with me or against me. Either way keep scrolling. 😄

Funny Period Names
Every month, when Aunt Flo visits you and you get all these cramps, mood swings, rushing hastily to the washroom and experiencing a Niagra Fall whenever you cough or sneeze. Ahh! It gets difficult sometimes. We girls start menstruating in our early teens. On average it starts when we are 12 years old and goes till you turn 45 (although it differs for every woman). We get used to this monthly routine and the most shocking and surprising thing is that nobody refers to it with its actual name, menstruation, unless they work in medicine or the health sector.
There are a lot of euphemisms that are used to describe Periods. Today, period names are clever, subtle and funnier than ever.
Chum: Heard girls saying “I’ve got my chums”? It is an Indian favourite and commonly used by a lot of aunties. You might have heard this one from your mother or elder sister.
Aunt Flo: The tight-lipped English word got really famous in the last few years. Aunt Flo pretends like your much-loved aunt is coming to visit.
Time of the Month: Mostly used word in public and social gatherings and understood by mostly everyone.
Code Red: This captures the urgency during the periods. You know, the feeling when you know it has arrived and you check your handbag to realize you haven’t carried an extra pad so you make a beeline to the bathroom or towards your period sister.
Shark Week: The heavy flow days, feel scary and girls like to compare it to the blood and gore of being devoured by a shark.
Red Rum: Once you've seen it, you can never forget the image of the doors opening and hundreds of gallons of blood spilling out.
At Saathi, we create sustainable products in a responsible way. Using environment-friendly products such as menstrual cups and 100% compostable and biodegradable sanitary pads is a good step towards a greener planet.

MENSTRUAL CUPS, made of silicon or similar materials, are small vessels as the name suggests. They are reusable alternatives to tampons and pads which makes them eco-friendly & affordable. These are to be inserted into cervix which is safe as suggested by doctors. They come in different sizes. Once you get a hang of these, you will never go back to pads or tampons. @_everythingmillennial_ #_everythingmillennial_ #menstruation #menstrualcups #sanitarypads #tampons #menstrualhygiene #menstrualproducts #13reasonswhy #happyperiod #ecofriendly #tampons #saynototampons #saynotopads #whymenstrualcups #periodproblems #periodhealth #periodsbelike (at Mumbai, Maharashtra) https://www.instagram.com/p/CB-h18yDRfQ/?igshid=3c6t1r487zys
