Decided to swipe this military issue rain slicker from dad’s closet. It’s his from the Marines as it says P. I. ROBERTS inside. There are definitely multiple schools of thought on this, but I am of the camp that likes military assigned watches more when they've been used and lived a full life. There are CP2s out there that came from old stock government auction lots that are NOS and never saw any action. This early assigned CP2 saw plenty of action as evidenced just by looking at it. I can only imagine the sorts of things this watch got up to.
