Sendai Station pedestrian deck. Before heading to Minamisanriku, I took part in a stand protesting against attacks on Palestine.

2024.3.11
March 11th, 2024 is,
I'm spending my everyday right now, With rehearsals
Thank you for your hard work today everyone as well😌🪽
Its been 13 years since the Great East Japan earthquake
My deepest condolences go out, to the victims of the earthquake
After 13 years all of todays elementary students, are children who haven't experienced the earthquake, right
I hope that their daily lives like this, will continue to be protected
And if it happens again, When a major earthquake occurs, I hope you will be in a protected environment
that, is what I think…🌏
Therefore, I also think that adults need to continue to pass on and communicate about this, about the fact that something like this happened on March 11th in 2011,
How sad and scary the experience was,
how the cities changed,
What it was like to live without, Gas, electricity, or water,
And then how, Tohoku is continuing forward like this,
Keeping in mind, "Everyone, Do Your Best For Tohoku!" The cities will continue to change, There are more wonderful buildings, (I want to also go to the Minamisanriku 311 Memorial) (The building looks really wonderful just from the photos)
The power of natural disasters is great but, the things produced from human power are great, Tohoku's spirit wont lose,
Its wonderful to live each day to the fullest,
There are a lot of things, that I want to convey…!
Before I joined Morning Musume, I have talked about what I experienced, in Miyagi several times in the past
Thank you very much for reading, a blog like this every year✍🏻
In the same year, in September of Morning Musume, I was able to meet the world where I live as a Morning Musume, I'm really happy about this!
From now on, without change, I cherish the times where I can smile with everyone😌🪽
No matter what I'll always end up giving special treatment to Tohoku,
Lets have a hot live there again!
It seems like the weather will be bad tomorrow but… I certainly hope that your day will be calm🌻

I attended an academic conference in Minamisanriku Town, Miyagi Prefecture. This was organized by "Lifelong sciences: Reconceptualization of development and aging in the super aging society," a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) project that I am involved in. Various research presentations and symposiums from diverse research fields were held from the perspective of “Lifelong Science.” It's interesting to learn about research in areas I'm not familiar with, such as cognitive science. The meeting was held at Hotel Kanyo in Minamisanriku Town, and it was the first time in several years that the research conference was held with an overnight stay. The food and service were very good. Sea urchin, Abalone!

Fisheries along the southern Sanriku coast in Japan’s Tōhoku region were devastated by tsunami in 2011. Seven years since the disaster, many have rebuilt port and other basic facilities and have used recovery efforts to improve and streamline operations. Catches have largely rebounded, but communities continue to struggle to attract young people to local fishing industries.

During the 2011 Tohuku earthquake and tsunami in Japan, a young worker named Miki Endo, aged 24 was a savior who protected thousands during the crisis. The brave soul who was working at the Crisis Management Department at Minamisanriku town continued to broadcast warnings on the loudspeaker to help people evacuate to safety until the waves washed down her office, killing her in the process.
