Girl, humans are flawed fucking creatures but assuming they want to cause a mass genocide on a group of people bc of liking a tweet is not the hill you wanna die on.

You know what? You don't have to be hesitant about playing Devil's Advocate. I do it all the time and I actively encourage people to point it out when I'm unknowingly echoing misinformation because I do get the wires crossed on quite a few things.

The only thing I ask of people is to not be assholes about it. Not that I'm saying you are but I have had some people pull that and it wasn't an informative time for anyone involved.

So I gladly accept the correction and acknowledge that I am not immune to the rare bouts of groupthink.

“Her self-discovery is a really big part of this series,” Kaling added. “One of the biggest appeals for Charlie and I about doing this was when we started working on the show and Charlie started writing the first script it was like… that’s a big part of it. We didn’t want to ignore it. It’s what’s interesting to people. She’s an icon for young gay women and I think that’s really interesting to us. Her figuring it out is a big part of the show and why it is really fun to do.”

I highly doubt the show, or Velma in the show are going to be like that.

Anyway another hot take: Mindy Kalling isn't a TERF (yet). Casual transphobia still sucks, I think the Candyman joke in V show is very bad but the narrative about her being a TERF only stems from liking 1 Rowling tweet about her not caring about the haters. Not the tweets about blatant trans genocide, just that one #girlboss #fuckmyhaters viral tweet. Yes, the context of the haters that she alluded to are trans people, but that tweet left out that exact context. Also regarding the Candyman joke, Mindy Kaling did not write the episode so idk how much I can blame this on her

Now, maybe she can be a TERF later, but until she wrote an essay about how trans people are stealing her job or whatever I think this whole narrative is just an excuse to dogpile V show without guilt. Imo, if you want to be a hater, be a hater, no need to scramble for a reason to hate a bad show in a social justice sort of way. Also Mindy Kalling has a problem with her Indian characters always getting paired up with white men (the Fred joke makes more sense I suppose...) so just use that lol

Okay it is November 4th 2022 and this is the first work journal entry. I decided to start a separate Journal for work specifically so we'll see how that pans out.

I think the main point is to talk about it because it's not what I want and I don't know what I want so this is the process of finding that out and sort of, getting clarity and figuring it all out in regards two what works and what doesn't.

Last night was an especially hard night and it's been a hard week and it's tough to get through an entire week of 40 hours. So I want to get to a point where I can talk it out I can talk thoughts out throughout work and I can analyze what's going on during my shift instead of waiting till after or until the next day that way everything's still fresh but I'm just not at a point where I'm comfortable doing that even though, potentially I could because I I have that freedom to do it. It really triggered me last night was I was listening to Mindy Kalling's book is everybody hanging out without me and she described her working experience as working a lot of hours but doing a job she loved and she talked about how she didn't even want to go home from work because that's how much she loved her job and I just thought well what a what a dream that would be to have that and I would really like to find that I would really like to have that but I just can't seem to find it.
