Minecraft Mob Vote Non-Winners

Concepts for adding some Mob-Vote Non-Winners to Minecraft (well, it's not the first time someone added such back in, there's the Friends and Foes for example) Starting with the 2017 mobs. The Great Hunger, called the Mauler by Friends and Foes, debating on calling it the Mawtrap. The Barnacle, which looks next to nothing like an IRL barnacle, I want to call it something else. And the Wildfire, named as such by Minecraft Dungeons.

Angels & Elytrians

Some well known subjects include o!Philza (elytrian) and o!Sneeg & hc!Grian (angels)

Approximate Transcript +additions :

Angels:

Can size-shift between human size and animal-wing counterpart

Have intricate animal-counterpart masks (to mimic elytrians as camouflage)

Have functional eyes ("normal") on wings, number varies, their "human" eyes have a black scelera (functionally compound eyes)

Extra Angel Info:

Elongated torso to make up for extra limbs (birds::wings, insect::arms) (insect wings are weird don't ask questions about why no extra muscle for insect wings)

Angels cannot regenerate or reattach wings once they have been removed

Elytrians:

"Creatures of Greed"

Cannot size-shift

Eyes remain normal/human and no longer have functional eye-spots on wings

The human body cannot support the added limbs/wing-muscles and therefore can only glide, not fly (insect elytrians grow poorly functioning insect-arm appendages)

Wings attach higher on the back than where angel wings reside; the longer someone keeps the wings attached the more physical mutations occur and the more permanent the wings become

For Both:

Both angels and elytrians are hunted for their wings by humans, however angels are hunted at higher levels because their wings are "pristine" in use; the more hosts a set of wings has had, the less functional the wings become

Project Dragon was a game that was in development for 3 years only to be canceled weeks from its announcement and its entire art and development team laid off. The game (which would have been called 'Everhaven' upon release) was intended to be a multiplayer sandbox rpg taking inspiration from both Minecraft and The Legend of Zelda, with an art style similar to that of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, which some of the team members also worked on along with Crash Bandicoot 4.

According to character design/illustrator Nicholas Kole "Our cancelled project of the last 3 years is officially, truly dead as of today (internal attempts to save it failed), and the embargo on the whole body of portfolio work has been lifted". This means that the only way the game has a chance of resuming development is by raising awareness and spreading the word of it's development. Edit: the decision to cancel the game was made by Forte, a blockchain company that acquired Phoenix Labs last year, who later decided to cancel all other projects so that the studio could focus on Dauntless and Fae Farm, Phoenix Labs' other already established games, rather than take the risk with this new IP.

I advise against sending any sort of hate towards Forte or Phoenix Labs and instead recommend continuing to share love for Everhaven and what it could have been until they realize their mistake.

Structure constructors or something, idk, I never played the Minecraft.

In the nether fortress crafting my Withers, and by Withers, heh… let’s justr say.. inter dimensional societal collapse…

Usual design rant below

I believed veils would work great for the Ancient builders as not only can they hide their identity efficiently, keeping them relatively ambiguous, but also protect from the weather in the generally warmer climates they were largely stationed in, and equally work as face masks against disease and virus‘, all whilst still being able to be stylised in different ways, allowing the shape language to remain distinct.

Other visual inspirations were pirate and sailor clothing for the cold costal tribe, Ancient Greek and farmer attire for the warm costal tribe, and funnily enough: sci-fi desert planet Civilisation concept art for the desert tribes design.

Aswell as ofcourse their own respective structures and the loot within.

The colouration does differ in my head from what I rendered, I believe a lot of the little trinkets and details would have different colors, but I didn’t want the shillouettes to clash or melt into one another in this lineless style so here are the base colors for now, as I tried the former and it didn’t look good.

Look I know they were like a massive imperial force or whatever but you cannot tell me a group of artists inventors and architects that relied heavily on their semi sentient bio-mechanical hellspawn machines (and some necromancy) to do their bidding, bunkering up immediately once the odds were no longer in their favour, could handle a punch or two.

These people probably looked like starving artists, especially after the overworled was turned into a withering shithole for a couple years, legends was definitely a fanfiction they wrote about themselves. /j

Minecraft Mod idea because GOD I’ve had this idea since forever and I needed to put it on paper.

I have always been a sucker for ambience in Minecraft, but almost every weather mod I find is more focused on the survival aspect of it so, for the longest time I’ve thought about what a more ambient form of weather mod would be like.

I would absolutely love to make this into an actual mod myself, but my 0 experience in coding and modding is unfortunately hindering that idea. >_> Though if there’s anyone out there with modding experience that actually wants to help make this a thing, I’d be more than happy to help out in any way I can with it.

Minecraft Citrine

Concepts for a new geode-gem for Minecraft, the Citrine, and it's related items. The Handlight is made like a Spyglass, but it places down a temporary light-source block. Glowing Glass is make like Tinted Glass, but emits light. The Unleashed Sculk Shrieker is made similarly to a Calibrated Sculk Sensor.

The reveals from minecraft live felt a bit underwhelming to me, like the lack of plant variety from a biome called the Pale Garden, so I tried coming up with some quick little concepts! I really hope they do end up expanding upon the features announced, I'd love to see their features have more depth.
