"his tragedies are more well-known, but i always preferred his comedies too. " maybe because there was enough tragedy that swarmed around minjae's life. he didn't need the reminders that life could be cruel when he had experienced it first-hand himself. romeo and juliet only emphasized the cost that came with love, and why it was one that he refused to pay. his feelings for ciara could only go so far, their relationship could only grow so much before he would be forced to cut it at the stem before it could rot. for now, though, he reveled in the peace that her presence provided, settling in to enjoy the film. | @neveraftcr

ya-sol, daeho's oldest sister's, sons:

ya-sol has two teenage sons.

kim jiho... 18 years old.

kim minjae... 16 years old.

'kim' comes from ya-sol's husband's family name.

these boys were raised incredibly well.

their manners are impeccable, always bowing and addressing you with "aunt y/n", and they never fail to help out whenever they’re around.

however, they are painfully shy.

you’ve tried to get them to open up more, but jiho, the older one, is just quiet by nature, while minjae is a bit more talkative but still reserved.

they are protective of their little cousins.

if seo-Ah or byeol (even those she is a baby) ever needed anything, these two would drop everything to help.

one time, Jiho caught a group of daycare kids stealing seo-ah’s crayons when he went to pick her up one day, and he just stared them down until they backed off.

just intimidation.

they help around the house whenever they visit.

whether it’s washing dishes, taking out the trash, or folding laundry, they do it without being asked.

kang min-jun is sixteen years old.

kang sooyun is six years old, a little under two years older than seo-ah.

they both have the 'kang' family name, unlike the older boys, since jia is a single mother.

min-jun and sooyun are half siblings, sharing jia as their mom.

min-jun is the complete opposite of jiho and minjae. 

he is loud, energetic, and way too confident for a sixteen-year-old.

he is basically a mini daeho, always cracking jokes and full of energy.

min-jun loves teasing everyone, but in a way that makes people laugh.

he especially loves teasing his little sister sooyun, even though he is secretly super protective of her.

whenever he talks about joining the marines, daeho takes it seriously.

he tells min-jun that it’s not just a fun adventure, but a decision that comes with a lot of hardships and risks. 

daeho doesn't want to scare him about the PTSD he developed from the marines, but the ganghwa island shooting doesn't happen to every marine.

he never discourages min-jun, but he makes sure that min-jun knows exactly what he would be signing up for.

despite his usual goofy attitude, min-jun listens carefully when daeho talks about his time in the marines.

he knows it’s serious, and he respects his uncle more than anyone.

that being said, min-jun is probably daeho’s favorite nephew, though he would never say that out loud.

you love min-jun’s energy. 

he’s the type of person who could make you laugh in any situation.

one time, you were exhausted from taking care of byeol, and min-jun came over and said, "so do i get to hold my baby cousin today or are you just keeping her for yourself?" 

you handed her over immediately.

sooyun is practically a big sister to seo-ah and byeol.

she is protective, clever, and extremely affectionate toward them.

she and seo-ah are inseparable.

you think seo-ah has a strong attachment to ha-yoon?? the attachment with her cousin is on another level.

every time they see each other, they scream and run into each other’s arms like it’s been years, even if it’s only been a week.

sooyun is the most mature six-year-old ever.

she helps her mom remember things, reminds her to drink water, and even scolds seo-ah when she’s being too dramatic.

she’s also a bad influence.

she taught seoah how to sass adults without getting in trouble by using big words like “frustrating” and “unacceptable behavior.”

one day, you asked seo-ah why she was speaking like a mini lawyer, and she just shrugged and said, “sooyun says we have to use smart words, mommy.”

daeho adores sooyun but is also mildly terrified of her.

one time, she corrected a daycare teacher, and daeho muttered, "I see you in her, Jia."

you love having sooyun around because she reminds you of yourself as a child...sharp, curious, and full of energy.. without the childhood trauma of course.

you teach sooyun little things like how to bake cookies, how to do easy braids, and how to fold paper cranes.

she once said, "auntie y/n, i want to be smart and pretty like you when i grow up," and you nearly cried on the spot.

min-seo and eun-ji do not have kids.

min-seo and her american girlfriend have decided not to have kids due to the hardships of being gay parents in south korea.

min-seo talked about moving to america if they ever have kids, since gay marriage is at least recognized over there.

eun-ji is single, and has always been as a choice.

eun-ji travels for work.

so, having kids would not be sustainable.

that doesn’t mean eun-ji and min-seo aren't the most loving aunts ever.

they treat all of their nieces and nephews as their own, spoiling them.

they're the most affectionate aunts. A

"look at what my beautiful niece has drawn, i have seen the mona lisa in person and I think that this is much better!" eun-ji says whenever seo-ah shows her a drawing.

min-seo is a little chaotic.

sometimes, you're surprised that min-seo and dae-ho are not twins.

one time, min-seo tried to teach seo-ah how to skateboard, and daeho was not having it.

"why is my daughter skateboarding?!"

"because she’s cool, like her aunt,"

min-seo replied.

daeho gets nervous whenever seo-ah spends time with min-seo.

not because he doesn’t trust her, but because she has a rebellious streak.

dae-ho and min-seo had a rebellious streak together in childhood, but daeho's ended when he went to the marines.

min-seo is still her usual happy self from childhood.

min-seo teases daeho constantly about being a "boring man."

despite being two years older than him.

"y/n saved you from being a lonely cat dad forever, you know that?"

"i hate you,"

daeho grumbled.

min-seo and eun-ji adores you like a little sister.

you didn't grow up in a big family. in fact, it felt like you didn't have family at all while growing up. so, having daeho's family heals something inside of you every single day.

"mm, sure, we could argue about that at length, but..." but that's not what this moment was about. minjae was trying to channel elijah. the older man had always been about the grand gestures, and minjae was aiming for one of his own even if he was still putting the onus onto the other. "i have," he admitted bluntly, "it took me a long time to outwardly admit that i was yours." but that was no longer a hang-up for him. the fear was still there that the older man could be ripped from him. that was the risk that they ran with the lives that they lived, and he didn't think that they could have a simple life like he wanted. not yet, anyway. maybe some day, but he couldn't wait for that. he watched the older man with his eyes gleaming. "since you are begging me at this point..." his tone was wry, but playful. "yes, elijah, i will marry you." it was such a heavy, significant moment. he was shaking with a giddiness he could not express, extending his left hand to the older man. "who else is going to make sure that you live well and eat right to live until you are much older than you already are?"

"i've never been stupid or annoying in my life." elijah protests softly. he's already given up the fight. there's no need. minjae wants what he wants. elijah doesn't have to push him. "i know that. though you've often tried to fight me on it." he points out with an amused grin. there had been so many times they'd been each other's throat. elijah knew just how to wind minjae up. it's been worth it to him. there's no body else that minjae wants and this little life they've built together is something he wants to keep for as long as he's alive. though he knows he'll wait for minjae in the after life too. elijah's gaze flicked down as he watched minjae's lithe fingers unclasp the chain and pull off the ring. his stomach clenches. "yeah?" he asks a little breathless as he takes the ring. he's never seen that look on minjae's face. elijah's smile meets his eyes. he falls to one knee. "minjae. please marry me."

Puppy~~!! A small fluffy white puppy with strong spirit and a gentle loving werewolf, Don't Mess with the Puppy! is very lovable. Yoon Chiyoung (werewolf) and Kwon Heeseong (puppy) have really hard lives but then they found each other, loving each other. I really enjoy reading their interactions, their relationship is so lovely. The art here is so adorable~~ I wish they don't skip details though I'm going to read the novel ><

I really like the dynamic between Minjae and Heechan a lot~! When more things about Taekin are revealed, it brings all kind of emotions, not only Minjae-Heechan's relationship that is really lovely, Taekin's story also great. Their talk about 'half of me' is interesting. I wish they adapt everything into manhwa/webtoon (it's on hiatus) ; ; I need to read the novel, from spoilers I see that Half of Me is a really nice read, specially Minjae and Heechan adorable relationship.

Guiding Hazard is likely to be my top favorite of guideverse genre. I adore Seo Eunsung and Lee Taegun relationship so much. Their interaction and relationship development, their past in high school that encourages Eunsung greatly, everything about them is so lovable. I also really like those chibi talking/thinking parts inside their mind, very cute. Taegun's past is really upsetting, but he has Eunsung with him now ; ; Their guiding sessions are ♥♥ (the breaking things are amusing too ; w;)

무흔의 밤 / Night of the Unmarked

I adore Kim Muheun and Seo Seungjoo's dynamic and relationship so much. They are solid. Even though sometimes Seungjoo keep a little bit stuffs because he knows Muheun will be overly worried, he tells almost everything to Muheun which I like. It might seem that Muheun is frustrating at first (not for me) but what he did are understandable. He foreseen his future with Seungjoo but instead of letting that happen, he try his best to keep Seungjoo safe and happy from a distance, because Seungjoo is extremely precious for him. After Seungjoo first kissed him, he realized his feeling (love), but he still try to keep the safe distance with Seungjoo because he believes it's the best for Seungjoo. Though Seungjoo hates that. Sometimes their safe distance failed to be kept because this and that. It's really hard for both Seungjoo and Muheun. I was so heartbroken when Seungjoo tried to give up loving Muheun, then so happy because Seungjoo try to get hold of Muheun and work things out. I really like Muheun's tattoo that looks like ink painting, beautiful and cool, though the story behind it is painful. Night of Muheun is a very endearing read~

Spirit of Muryeong, Muheun's younger brother and Seungjoo's childhood friend, Kim Muryeong's story is adorable. Muryeong is like a soft warm sunshine.

빠나나 스캔들 / Banana Scandal

The story setting of Koreans studying overseas is interesting and feels realistic (I don't have much knowledge). Their struggles within the community, four main characters personalities and stories are well-written. Taehwan and Taehee are lovely brothers, their childhood scenes are so adorable. The first couple Taehee and Dojin is nice but the second couple's story in Banana Scandal, Woo Taehwan and Shim Yeonwu, is really heartfelt. I feel that Taehwan's redemption is one of the best redemption arc in BL manhwa/webtoon. Taehwan was really bad to Yeonwu, even though Yeonwu did wrong to Taehwan in the past, what Taehwan did was damaging. Yeonwu did something that triggered Taehwan's trauma (which Yeonwu know about much later), they were really good friends in high school but separated badly. When they met again in university, it was really bad for Yeonwu —Yeonwu, who neglected himself and has a very low self-esteem, brainwashed himself that he deserved what Taehwan did to him and he likes that he still have sort of relationship with Taehwan. When Yeonwu got extremely tired with everything and stayed away from Taehwan, Taehwan was shocked and tried to pull him back but it's not working. Taehwan who was in denial then realized his feeling, tried to do things better with Yeonwu. They almost got together again (because they're so passionate to each other) but it was really hard for Yeonwu who hadn't healed yet, it was really heartbreaking when Yeonwu realized how he neglected himself a lot, how pitiful he was. It was really heart-wrenching process of growing up. They continued their lives separatedly. Yeonwu have proper time to heal and loving his own self better. Taehwan tries to be worthy of Yeonwu, enduring his longing while regret things deeply. When they met again and talked about everything, poured all their feelings— damn, I've been very emotional when reading about their story but at that point it's emotions overflowed ;;__;; I think I cried several times reading their story. I feel like I can breathe again when they genuinely happy together, Taehwan and Yeonwu loving relationship is ♥♥

레가스 / Regas

Regas is really good~!! Prince's childhood was heart-crushing, the abuse and the loss of Abel, the one who genuinely cares for him. Prince and Abel moments are so wholesome. Many might not like that Abel reincarnated to blonde-green eyed beauty because twinkification(?), but it's an important part for the plot. The artist does a really good work in Abel's reincarnation, even though the physical appearance is very different, we can see and feel the real Abel, it's Abel. The beginning part after reincarnation is very funny, I really enjoy the interaction between main and supporting characters. Karas (prince -> king -> captain commander) and Abel relationship is so ♥♥

I saw that Turning has many good reviews that I got interested in reading. The novel is really long but seems it's really a great work. Hope the manhwa/webtoon adaptation will be great too >< The dynamic between Kishiar and Yuder is exciting and their relationship seems very lovely (from spoilers). Since it's regression, it's likely that their first life was very heartbreaking. I'm excited with the story and their world-building. Also, Yuder's expressionless is amusing.

Mission: Save the Hunter is very heartbreaking yet very encouraging. The Great Dungeon is really painful, Seo Chaeyoon ;__; I really adore Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan dynamic, they are really lovely together. Yoon Seo is very adorable when he's liking and getting closer with Jihan. Jihan is the best mate (in work, life, everything) for Yoon Seo. Boss Bxtch Baby is a very enjoyable read~! I really like the dynamic between Koo Hojin and Baek Yooseong, specially their chibi are very adorable I like them a lot~!! I really enjoy reading their chibi scenes and extras (from Dacto's twi- X's account). Feels like this gets higher position on this list because of their chibis ;w; Yooseong can be so violent it's scary though I can't hate him. That part in side story "all the trauma from different universes" is amusing ; w;) Both Hojin and Yooseong are broken and flawed, it was toxic but they heal each other and have a loving relationship. I also like that song which Hojin's favorite, I listened to it sometimes around the time I was reading this (Hojin made me wanted to listen). Their side stories AU are interesting, their fox babies are so cute~!
