Here’s a look at the area map and the location of the new building, which is just down a couple blocks…

Hi there! Hope you’re well and not melting away in the humidity. I am super excited to be planning a trip to Japan again after almost four years away. Considering I lived 1) in Kansai-ish territory and 2) near Nagoya, I never got much chance to explore Tokyo outside of the usual tourist places. I already have Jinbocho on my list (along with one of the Aoyama flower market tea houses and Nakano Broadway)— do you have any suggestions for what’s fun in Tokyo for someone who is a little more experienced with the area?
Welcome back!
Now here's a challenge! I don’t know whether you're looking for new & trendy, or old & traditional, and a lot depends on the season, but…
1) Stroll from Ueno Park or Nezu to Yanaka and Sendagi. See if you can find Snake Street and follow its curves. Yanaka is as Kyoto as Tokyo gets. Yanaka and Kagurazaka.
2) Shibamata for more old Edo vibes. Cross the river on the ferry. Only ferry in Tokyo.
3) Sunamachi Ginza Shopping District in Koto-ku: another old area that's being transformed by gentrification.
4) Get lost in Shibuya Station, just for fun, but take tranquilizers with you. Walk from Shibuya via Shoto to Yoyogi Park. Shoto is one of the wealthiest areas in Tokyo, but it's not as famous as, say, Azabu-Juban or Denenchofu. Stop at Levain for bread and Fuglen for coffee.
5) Explore the swanky, hipsterish areas of Kichijōji, Shimokitazawa, Daikanyama. Take the Setagaya Tram Line from Sangenjaya to Gotokuji and visit the temple birthplace of the famous maneki-neko. Lots of tiny shops and quaint shopping streets in a relatively upmarket area along the way.
6) Okutama. Walk along the Mitake Valley Riverside Trail, from Ikusabata to Sawai, stop for sake at the Sawanoi Sake Brewery, visit the Gyokudo Museum. You can continue past Mitake to the Okutama Fishing Centre. If you are here in autumn, you'll see breathtaking autumn colours.
7) Yokohama! Not exactly Tokyo, but a nice day trip. Minato-Mirai, Yokohama Foreign General Cemetery (no, seriously, Google it), Sankeien Gardens.
I'm not a food expert, but there are really nice restaurants in all these areas. Add Yakitori Alley in Yurakucho to your list: great atmosphere. (There's a maze under the tracks between Yurakucho and Shimbashi. Well worth a visit, but it gets a bit dystopian.) Museums? Fukagawa Edo Museum in Kiyosumi, all the art museums in Ueno Park. Plants 'n stuff? Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome. Shinjuku Gyoen remains my favourite Tokyo park/garden.
It's very touristy, but so iconic that it's really worth it: New York Bar and Grill in the Park Hyatt Tokyo. Expensive though. Cocktail Works is a craft gin bar in Kanda (close to Jimbocho), and a very good alternative (but without the glorious view) (which is the whole point) (actually).
Oh, by the way, Piss Alley in Shinjuku? So yesterday. Try Sankaku Chitai in Sangenjaya or Nogecho in Yokohama instead. Shh, don't tell anyone.
Best free and still relatively uncrowded view of skyline: Bunkyo Civic Center observation lounge. Shh again.
Would this suffice? If you send more details about your timing and what you're interested in, I'll happily add more.
Enjoy the planning as much as the trip! 😊

💿💜📺 Song-inspired stimboard: Daijyobanai by Perfume, with themes of silver, purple, and technology!
I didn't exactly know what to do today, so I just did one of my favorite songs of all time. This song is literally amazing. And the first song that made me discover this awesome band. Anyway, this is actually pretty good! I hope y'all like this one!
Also, yes, I am aware that because of the cover art used this is now technically a stimboard for the entire Mirai no Museum single. However, I had the specific song in mind while making this stimboard, so it is still a board meant to be centered around Daijyobanai. So you can probably use this board for any song off the single.

It isn't Stealing if It is What He Wanted!
It Isn't Stealing If It Is What He Wanted! by thatclumsygirl 22
It was also quite a shame that all of this All Might merch might be sold or brought to a museum. This stuff was one of a kind merch. This collection was even bigger than his, and that is saying something.
The sad fact is that it would probably be brought to some fan who couldn't take care of it or see the value in its beauty.
Midoriya knew Nighteye would not want that. Nighteye would have wanted it in the hands of someone who knew its value. So, he decided that the responsible thing to do was to bring some of the All Might merch with him.
Or- Midoriya decides that the right thing to do for Sir Nighteye is to "save" all of his All Might merch and bring it to the dorm.

NAME: Mint/Minto Aizawa
AGE: 12/13 (original anime) ; 15/16 (new anime)
DOB: October 3rd
NATIONALITY: Japanese.
SPECIES: Human.
GENDER: Female.
RED DATA ANIMAL: Blue Lorikeet.
OCCUPATION: Works at Café Mew Mew part-time ; middle school student (original anime/manga) ; high school student (new anime)
HEIGHT: 146cm.
HAIR: Navy blue/Indigo blue
EYES: Brown/Indigo Blue
VOICECLAIM: yumi kakazu, mirai hinata.
Mint(o) is not your average junior high school student. She is well versed in Japanese dance, ballet, and is familiar with high society. Her father is a wealthy business owner who hopes that both of his children, Mint, and her older brother, Seiji, will follow in his footsteps. She has a rough personality and often clashes with Ichigo, but in reality, is close friends with her. Most of her time is spent practicing her ballet and becoming a proper lady.
She makes the acquaintance of the other four mew mews at the Red Data animal exhibit where Ichigo has her first date with Aoyoma. Offering her her handkerchief, Mint smirks at Ichigo before leaving. It is only during the earthquake that all five meet in the courtyard of the museum and are injected with the DNA of five endangered animals.
Her powers as a mew mew awaken when Ichigo saves her from her dog, Mickey, being infused with a parasite alien at her ballet recital. In the manga and original anime, she is the second mew mew to awaken, but in the new anime, she is the first to awaken and helps Ryou and Akasaka to gather the other four girls at the museum to help awaken their powers.
From this point, Mint joins Ichigo in finding the other girls and begins to look up to Zacro Fujiwara - their fifth and final member. After initially being rejected, Mint falls into a state of depression and with the other girls's help (Ichigo, Purin, and Lettuce/Retasu), Mint strengthens her resolve.
Mint is also the first of the mew mews to find both the mew aqua and to utilize it to stop the aliens from destroying the earth.
After Aoyoma sacrifices himself to use the mew aqua in Deep Blue's body and the fighting between aliens and humans cease, Mint returns to normal. Her powers begin to return when Berry becomes a Mew Mew and a new enemy, The Saint Rose Crusaders, arrive on the scene. After the fighting ceases with them as well, she returns to being a normal girl.

at the time of writing this, i am still watching the new anime. (i'm part way through season 2.) i have not read re-turn (i'd like to if it ever gets translated!!) and i have not read au lait. i have zero intention on reading the latter.
my interpretation of mint(o) is influenced by both the original anime and manga. i'm not a fan of her new aspirations in the new anime regarding her father's company. these will only be touched upon in my verse for the new anime.

### Summary
- **Staying in Mainland Japan** allows you to experience a greater variety of Japanese history, culture, and nature without the added travel time and expense of flying to Okinawa. Places like Kanazawa, Takayama, or Koya-san offer unique experiences that complement your existing itinerary.
- **Adding a Beach Break in Okinawa** gives you the chance to relax and enjoy a different side of Japan, with beautiful beaches and a unique cultural blend. It's a great way to break up the intense sightseeing with some downtime.
Both options have their merits, and your choice will depend on whether you prefer more cultural exploration or a mix of culture and relaxation. If you prefer a blend, spending a few days in Okinawa could be a refreshing change. If you're more inclined towards deep cultural immersion, exploring additional cities on the mainland would be ideal.

I had a bit of a weird day because it's the last full day of my holiday and I think my period is coming and my vitamin B deficiency is making me exhausted.
I went to Yokohama because since I last went it's been used as a date setting for a few dramas and animes I like! I also tried the new (to me) ropeway but it wasn't easy to see the view in the rain. I spent a bit of time in World Porters but I'm out of suitcase space so shopping knowing I couldn't get anything bigger than a phone strap was depressing. I wanted to go to the Landmark Plaza out of tradition but it was harder to find than it used to be and by the time I got there I realised there wasn't anything I wanted to do there 😅
As I was stumbling around in the rain, I passed a theme park that gave me bad vibes. I just watched Private Eyes' Requiem for the first time since 2011 and that's where the film was set! 🤣 Wow. Probably should've gone in there...
Parts of the film also took place in Chinatown. I was going to visit there again this afternoon but I thought I'd see if the DetCo café had any spaces for people without reservations instead 🤦‍♀️. Unfortunately, they were booked for the next few hours but I had another look at the menu and goods and remembered why I was lukewarm about this year's one. So then I was stranded in the boring part of Yokohama because I didn't want to get the train back to Minato Mirai. I ended up going to the miniature railway museum which was very cute. You have to buy tickets through the Family Mart printer and I had to get help for the second time today because I can barely read Japanese and the English translations didn't cover that service. 🫠 Ough. The self consciousness is hitting me hard today.
I'm dreading getting across Tokyo to my next hotel with my over packed bags tomorrow but it's £3.50 to attempt the train route at a quiet time of day (and I've managed that 3 times before) Vs £35 for a taxi or £10 for a luggage delivery service that I don't really trust to deliver in time. If I struggle too much, I might just store half of it in a coin locker along the route and go back for it later. I'm so weak these days... it's concerning...

The big event came! My first (and probably only) Perfume live concert.
It was amazing. When they appeared on stage for the first time my feelings changed. Before I considered them like not real, something behind screen, but even from the distance, you could feel the dancing, the movements, the humanity.
I was surprised with the setlist. Much more classic than I expected. Starting with Flash, followed by Electro World. Later they even performed Mugen Mirai, which I was not expecting. And a new song premiere even!
In my dreams, I wanted 4 songs: Chocolate Disco, Spending all my time (these were my intros into Perfume), One Room Disco (one of my favorites), and Fushizen na Girl (that Kashiyuka solo). We only got Chocolate Disco, but it was such a great moment! The feeling or screaming 'Disco!' with everyone.
The public was quite varied. Just as a sample, I had a late 40s Japanese woman with binoculars on my left, a pregnant couple in their late 30s on my right, and a young couple in front where the girl was giving her everything.
And of course, the English was cringe, but hey, they try and that's what counts.
Ah, also visited the British Museum. Cool museum!
