Yo! You can call me uhhhh… mod Casper? I guess that works. Anyway, remember this post? Well, this is the outcome! Ask these lil guys anything — within reason. I’m not the best with image descriptions, but I’ll do my best to add them. Apologies if i forget or if they arent accurate.

Heart is in Soul’s role (host/mediator), Soul is in Mind’s role (basically a persecutor), and Mind is in Heart’s role (i don’t know how to describe this one, he’s just a lot more emotional and annoying). Hello! I just recently found out about Limbo Lounge, and I think it's really cool! I always love seeing Hazbin Hotel rewrites and stuff, and this in particular really caught my attention. I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions!

I see that you're taking submissions for characters, and that's really cool! I have one of my own that I'd like to submit, but I saw that there's guidelines for characters, and I can't find them here. I don't see any problems with the character I made, but can you please tell me the guidelines just in case?

I think it would be really cool to be involved in the production of this AU, but I don't have Discord. Is that required? (I'm 17, so I am old enough btw)

This one is more of a suggestion than a question. In older forms of Christianity, there's an eight deadly sin, known as either Despair, Melancholy, or Apathy, depending on the source. Have you ever considered adding that? I think it would make a really cool addition, and make an opportunity for more characters :)

Re-do: I'm trying to learn about gender, in attempt to understand everyone (and really myself) a bit better, but I'm realizing I don't actually know what gender is supposed to feel like. I'm new to identifying as ace, so is this an ace thing? I don't really know what I'm trying to sense, but I feel so apathetic I can't tell? What is gender supposed to feel like?

It’s possible that for you, your gender is wrapped up in or connected to your sexuality. However, as an ace person, no this is not specifically an ace thing, nor does it have to be an ace-only thing even for aces who experience this.

However, as a nonbinary person who went through years of questioning, this is a questioning thing - or at least for me it was!

Part of the reason it’s so hard to understand what gender is and what it feels like is because it’s intangible. It’s a feeling, it’s who you are at your core. It’s not something easily described. It’s not something we can give an example of to help show how it feels. It’s something you just gotta kinda... sense. Between that and cissexism, yeah, gender is really confusing, even just on a personal basis!

But being apathetic, well, that’s a specific feeling and you can use that. Did you know there’s a gender called apagender where you feel a sense of apathy when looking into your gender and so don’t really pursue it anymore? Or about cassgender, which is feeling that your gender is unimportant to you? If you can pinpoint a feeling like apathy, well, don’t brush that off as unimportant. You’re allowed to use that to help you identify!

Kazuichi Souda

You finished the project in a few days, a day after it was due.

During that time, you would rap at Kazuichi’s window at night. He would unlock it, open it, and grab ahold of your hand to help you through. In a box under his bed is where you fit the supplies.

Both of you, with the moon in the sky, work together on your solo project.

There are many distractions, of course, as there always is when you are with him. 

You always greet him with a smile. There’s something about how content you are with spending nights with him that ends up worrying him a bit. 

“Why don’t you do it at your house?” He asked you on the last day. The question had been bottled, and sizzled in his mind. Surely, it’s nothing bad. Maybe you just like seeing him.

“Meh. I like being here.”

You answered simply. He waited for a second. Wanting to see if you would continue. If you would elaborate more.

But you don’t.

“Why?”

“I guess I don’t feel the need to go home. It’s just whatever to me. Plus, you’re here, aren’t you?”

A blush forms on his cheeks before the words even settle in. 

By the seconds, you can see the worry clear from his eyes. Your cheeks even heat up a bit.

“Y-Yeah, I am here! You’re right.”

Mikan Tsumiki

Mikan looked at the piano with a hurried eye, slowly walking past the music room and near her classroom.

The echo of a string of notes calls to her, unhappy with her sudden shadow walking away.

You walk past me every morning. Your words ring through her head. 

Right.

She was surprised when you approached her, romantically even, always spending your time with her and never hesitating to listen to her when she spoke. 

And she did not complain about it in the slightest. She was very grateful for every second you spent with her. You are kind.

“A-Are you in here,” she asks after pushing the door open and looking inside. “Or have you already went to class.”

“I’m here to play you a song.”

“Really?” She says to you before you can play out the first triad. The muscles in your fingers relax, dancing over the notes with a touch as soft as a cloud, and playing from memory.

She sucks in a breathe, sitting next to you on the seat, loosely smiling.

“I recognize it. I used to hear it a lot when I was a kid.” It was a whisper. A small confession.

You both sit in the music room for another moment while the notes draw out. And you release your fingers, a short halt, and a quick silence.

Mikan cries out almost immediately, “I’m sorry!”

“What?” You say to her before turning to face her completely. “What are you apologizing for?”

At that, small tears form in her eyes. “I shouldn’t have said anything - I made you sad!”

I made you sad.

“Class starts soon,” you pull your sleeve back a bit to show her your watch, “that’s it. Why are you worried?”

She looks down, unwilling to meet your eyes. Jumping to conclusions, as always. Why must she overthink everything?

Sayaka Maizono

For the first time, she thought back to what you had been like when you both first met.

A lot more energetic. A lot more happy to be around her.

Maybe it’s the slow descent outside of the honeymoon phase. You became more... relaxed?

But it doesn’t seem like being relaxed. Maybe contentment?

Is that really such a bad thing?

In the moment, she feels like saying something. You are there - reading on the couch backstage, while she sits on the other side and watches her shows on the laptop. 

She scoots over. It’s not a hesitant process. Her blue hair piles up on your lap and works as a pillow for her head.

You stayed like that for a while before you look at each other, in unison.

“What are you thinking about?” You ask. “Is there anything?”

“You come to all of my concerts.”

Her voice was drawn-out, thinking as she spoke. You place your fingers on the page, though not closing the book.

She continues, “And you travel with me, too.”

It wasn’t a strange thing to you. Was it to her? You love the way she dances - the cute outfits she wears and the way they style her hair.

“Do you miss going home?”

Your gaze falls back to your book, where you close it and peer at the cover. Ordered straight from the library by your house. You never even checked when the due date was.

“No.” You answer. “I have no use, it’s fine, I can live my life anywhere I want.”

There is never a silent moment. Just the sound of the music playing as the audience pulls in.

A laugh escapes her lips. “That’s a good answer. Thank you.”

“Of course.”

Celestia Ludenberg

You find a comfort in the hotel bed as you plop down on it. Celes grins at the childish nature. In her hand is one bag, a makeup one, while you were the one to drag the rest. You stare around the room. It’s very pretty. And you didn’t even have to pay for it. People were offering to have her travel for her little gambling. 

“It’s very pretty.” You say to her. “Feels very safe. Very comfortable.”

She smiles back to you. “Then I’m glad I took you with me.”

“And here I was thinking it was so I could be your personal butler.” You laugh softly, staring at her back in some sort of awe, and the butterflies fly back into your stomach. All you can do is smile quietly to yourself while she examines herself in the mirror.

You got to eat dinner alone with her that night. You drink water out of fancy wine glasses, feeling almost like royalty. She wanted to sleep early, though, as if she had to wake up early.

“How long will you stay up?” She asks. Her tired eyes glance up at you.

“No longer. Here, scoot over, I’ll crawl in with you.”

Her skin looks pale in the darkness. Like a doll. Thin and content. Reminds you of when she would cuddle into your chest, listening to your breathes. She’s not as cuddly anymore. 

“It makes me happy to know you like the room.” She whispers, her red nails running up your arm. “I wanted something... pleasant for you.”

Something pleasant. How calming.

“I appreciate it, Celestia.” 

Makoto Naegi

There was no huge party. No balloons tied to your desk and no presents lining down the hall.

No one even knew it was your birthday. 

And that was no accident.

You didn’t tell anyone.

The day was like any other. Maybe a little better than most days. Everyone seemed happier. More filled with joy and more content with being at school. It’s like the universe was giving you a treat. 

Makoto remembered your birthday, of course he did, but waited until after school to take you to a bakery. All day he was waiting for someone to bring it up. 

“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” He asks on the way, scratching the back of his neck. Was it an intrusive question? He’s positive that if it was - you would correct him.

You answered simply, however. “I don’t need a big celebration, Makoto. This is fine. This is all I want.”

The door rings while you push it open, and the smell of treats overtakes your senses.

i feel very apathetic towards everything that happens to the people around me and i feel so bad for it. my friend will talk about their sexual abuser and all i'll be able to think about is how i've been sexually abused by more people than i can name, so it's not "bad enough" in my head for me to care. or my friend will talk about how their mom hit them, and i'll just think about how my mom raped me which is "worse" in my brain, so i can't care about their issues

it also happens with bullying, and i even get frustrated seeing people complain so much about what's happening to them and then refuse to take any steps to help them cope. i KNOW a lot of people can't do this, especially during active trauma, but i still feel so bad about thinking like this and feeling nothing. i'd never imagine saying this out loud, that's terrifying to me, but i hate thinking it

Hey anon. I want to start off by saying that what you are describing does not make you a bad person or mean that you actually think less of others. What you are experiencing is your brain trying to shield you from more hurt.

There is a threshold that each human has for just how much we can endure before our brains shut it out and go into self preservation mode. That doesn't mean that the things we are apathetic towards don't matter or aren't serious, it just means that our brain needs some space to process and relax. It something very natural that happens but isn't talked about a lot because it can sound so invalidating to others even though it isn't coming from a cruel place.

As humans, we are not conditioned to process the amount of tragedy that actually occurs. At some point, that apathy takes over because there isn't enough time and space to process what we already have to think about. That is why hearing about what other people are going through may not register in your brain as "bad enough".

Also, the fact that you are bothered by the apathy is a sign that it isn't how you actually are viewing other things. Those deeper feelings are being blocked to give your brain and body a rest and thats okay. You are not a bad person for experiencing this and how you are feeling is valid.

I know that "give it time" is not the best answer to hear, but this specific issue usually resolves with time. It can resolve a little faster if you are able to work through your trauma in some way (therapy, writing, etc).

Actively selecting ones that paint them in a good light and saying bullshit takes like "politics don't define our character" like I'm sorry but your politics got 500k-600k people killed in a pandemic it is VERY indicative of your character.

Yeah, I’ve read it. It seems their support of Trump is “selective,” but the thing they’re not grasping is how that’s not really an option. Trump and his administration actively hate people of colour, the LGBT+ community, immigrants, the lower class, basically everyone who’s not them. And no cherry-picked examples of supposed “good” is worth ignoring everything else. Especially when you give them money and then say “bite me.”

And you know what? Since Mod Edgeworth is asking questions, here’s my answers @askaceattorney. And obviously, I can’t speak on Mod Maya’s behalf here:

1. You’re sick of politics? So am I. So is every marginalized person. Here’s the thing, though: ignoring or not caring about politics is not an option most people can afford. It’s ingrained into daily life. Even me, as an out white woman, have to be careful sometimes, and it’s much worse for people who can’t keep their marginalized identity in the closet, like POC. I don’t know why I have to say this, but politics matter.

2. You wanted to know why we didn’t tell you anything? Easy. From the moment you told us you supported a man who wants people like us dead, we knew you’d never be on our side. We were scared. And not just of your pro-Trump stance, but your sheer apathy. How you shrugged it off and didn’t - and still don’t - understand what the big deal is, and are then surprised when we feel outnumbered, unwelcome and looking for the door.

3. The proof of the bigotry and violence Trump supported and empowered if everywhere. The January insurrection. The rise in hate crimes. His open mocking of a disabled person, and the charged language he uses to describe BLM protestors while telling white supremacists to “stand by.” If you can’t see what he means by a “great” America (or “supporting patriotism”) take your blinders off.

4. LGBT+ topics are not taboo. If you really want to claim to support our community, NORMALIZE US. Don’t write us off as “divisive”; that’s the whole problem. If you don’t know how to write non-het ships (which isn’t any different from straight ships, really), then learn. If you leave that wall up, it never goes away.

5. I’m really curious what is meant by “talking this out.” What is there to discuss? Is it not obvious that a MAGA hat is a literal red flag? Mod Edgeworth, you said it yourself: discrimination makes it hard to be open about your identity. It would be borderline self-destructive to walk up to someone wearing a MAGA hat and go, “Hey, I’m gay. Can we work together in the same space?”

Sorry for the tangent, but I really can’t understand how they’re missing that for us, this is not just an issue of “opinion.” We need to be in spaces where we don’t have to worry for our safety and acceptance, and this just wasn’t it.

I Definitely See The Read Telling Me About The Dual Sides Of Your Imprisonment In The Void, Specifically The Positive And The Negative. On The Positive Side, We Have More Of An Escapist Hope For Nostalgia If That Feels Familiar? Wishing For The Days Of Youth, Wanting To Be A Child Where Everything Is Soft And Safe, Where You Can Believe In A Better Future And Where You Havent Made Mistakes. You Reveled In That, While Erring More On The Positive Side (Although Perhaps Not?), Escaping To A World Where You Could Feel A Little Smaller And Safer. If Not This, You At Least Found A World Where You Felt Safe And Nothing Went Poorly. 

However, The Positive Can Always Remind Us Of The Negative (And Vise Versa). If What I Am Reading Is Correct, You Felt Confused. The Entire World Was Spinning Around You And You Had Absolutely No Control Over It. Rather, You Blithely Coast Through Conflicts And Treasured Moments While Barely Being Able To Grab Onto The Handles. Let’s talk titles

who here hates naming their goddamn chapters? I mean, isn’t it enough to have written the damn thing?

Honestly? I really like picking out titles. Because I have a method. Let’s go through a couple of ways to make picking out a title easier. If you happen to have a method not included (because I’m only doing three), add it in your reblog!

Method one: picking your title from within your chapter or novel

This is what I’ve been doing. Specifically, I’ve been picking out lines of dialogue. And there’s rules to it- no edits, no adding or removing words. I can take things out of context or from the middle of a sentence, but I can’t actually change anything

I know what you’re thinking- but mod crow! I’m not a good writer! my dialogue isn’t dramatic enough for titles!

Honestly? big mood. When i’m writing prose, I’m writing casual prose.

That said, my chapter titles? cool as hell. Often times the hardest part of picking a title now is narrowing down my options (mod sam helps bless you sam). I’ve done this 33 times now and I love my titles. I have the whole list written out so i can look at them and cackle to myself.

All you need to do is make some rules for yourself about what is and is not applicable (ie. only dialogue with no alterations, character actions only, has to include the POV characters name in the chosen title) and stick to that.

Method two: Picking your title from another work

This is what mod sam is doing. Specifically, mod sam is picking lines from the Chant of Light, essentially the bible in the fandom we’re both writing for. And I’m sure we’ve all seen Ao3 fics titled after popular and dramatic song lyrics

If you’re writing long fic, i would reccomend not doing a single song. limit yourself to a whole album perhaps. And if you’re writing something original with the hopes of one day publishing, use open source works just to be safe! something like Doyle’s original sherlock holmes novels or very old poetry.

Make sure to set rules for yourself in this as well! especially if you’re taking titles from a novel or something else with a lot of Words to choose from.

I strongly disagree with this ask and don’t find it appropriate to answer it in-character.

The Pokemon Company IS misogynistic, and I can tell you why.

When they didn’t add in Green to RGBY, that was misogynistic. It was not due to programming limitations, as ROM hackers have successfully done gender selection mods. It was due to the lack of care to prioritize their girl audience. Red is only revered as “the first” because they made him the only option. They are nostalgic for a time they chose not to represent women and young girls, and that is not a thing to be proud of.

When they didn’t add Kris as a girl character option until Crystal, that was misogynistic. They had the ability to include a girl option in Gold/Silver, but held it back as a selling point for Crystal. If you were a girl and were disappointed to not be represented in Gold/Silver, you had to buy the same game again with Crystal.

When they replaced Kris with Lyra in HGSS, that was misogynistic. In-game dialogue within HGSS from the Game Freak building states,

“We are remaking an old game, but this is quite a challenge. Old fans would not want us to mess with their good memories.” But they created an entirely new character to replace the first ever girl, replacing the memories that all old-school girl Pokemon fans started with. They did not want to mess with the memories of their male audience, but they did mess with the women’s memories.

There are so many sexist points I can make about the Pokemon Company, Leaf notwithstanding.

Pokemon Generations, a series meant to nostalgically represent every player’s journeys, never has a girl protagonist show up once. Only Red, Ethan, Brendan, Hilbert, and Calem appear.

In Pokemon Masters, every boy character so far (Red, Ethan, Brendan, Hilbert, and Calem) are all strongly implied to be the “canon” heroes of the main stories based on their dialogues and exchanges with their rivals.

Time and time again, the Pokemon Company has shown that girls will never be the “canon” hero. To them, “boy” is considered the default, “neutral” gender, and “boy” is meant to represent everyone.

This is not a problem exclusive to Leaf, but she is a character that is most strongly affected by it, and a character who I related to immensely as a child, and I was therefore hurt by her absence. There was a long, ten year silence where Leaf was not acknowledged as a character by the Pokemon Company, but Red still was. If it was purely out of Gen I nostalgia, then why were his appearances inspired by the Gen III redesign? Why did he have his FRLG design in Smash Bros and HGSS/BW2, when his girl counterpart born from that game was nowhere to be seen for ten years?

Please don’t dismiss these issues as exclusively superficial reasons like corporate nostalgia. It is entirely a case of sexism, first and foremost.

A company never sits down and thinks, “How do we be as sexist as possible?” But, every time they favor the boy character, but not the girl equally, is a choice. And that choice is inherently misogynistic.   Through their inaction and apathy, they have neglected and mistreated their girl audience, and that needs to be openly and loudly criticized.

If someone says, “I feel like this is misogynistic, and I am hurt by it”, please don’t dismiss it by saying, “But they weren’t trying to hurt you.” You will only silence people who are attempting to speak out about problems that have negatively affected them for decades.

Please hear and attempt to understand why I am saying these things, and question for yourself why these problems exist before you try to justify them.

And learn to speak against them yourself, as well.

Please do not speak in the Pokemon Company’s defense regarding this subject, for it will not defend or represent us.

Because I Finished Binging Persona 4 Golden About A Month Ago And I’m Still Not Over It:

So hi everyone. Yes, I still exist. No, I’ve not become Cryptid 2.0 just yet. (If we’re being perfectly honest I probably should have put that on the last Mod answer I did. Oh well.)

Anyway, this year has been... well you all know. However, there was at least one golden ray of hope amidst the sea of despair. 

As the title suggest, I’m of course referring to Persona 4 Golden’s port to Steam.

I LOVED this game. Absolutely adored it. And it clearly wasn’t just me; the response this port got has seemed to catch Sega’s attention. We can only hope, but I think this may mean more ports in the future. About time.

Now, obviously after playing this game I got to thinking a bit. Specifically, what if the Persona users ended up in Hope’s Peak? What would their ultimate titles be? How would they interact with other members of the DR cast (not including DRV3. Still haven’t played it, know all about the plot but not enough about the characters to figure out interactions here)? So, I’m going to go over that right here, in the first of a... okay a many many part post.

Yeah, I know, kinda a let down that I can’t have it all at once but as I was writing it up I realized that this was going to end up being huge. I couldn’t do it all in one post. I thought that maybe I could then divide it by game and have three posts, but as I finished doing just two members of SEES I realized that wouldn’t work either. There’s just too much to write about. So, due to this, I’ll be doing a single post per character and when it comes to relationships with canon characetrs I’m going to try and limit the amounts of characters to just 3 to 5, depending on how much there is to say.

Anyway, without further ado,

Presenting: SEES, the Investigation Team and the Phantom Thieves as SHSLs/Ultimates!

(The title isn’t exactly amazing I know.)

Group 1: SEES

Part 1: The Protagonist(s)

Makoto Yuki/Minato Arisato/Hamuko Yuki/Minako Arisato: 

SHSL Luck/Ultimate Lucky Student: I figure this makes sense for all the Wildcards. In Makoto’s/Hamuko’s case specifically, we got the fact that they survived the car crash that killed their parents, we got the fact that they were ‘lucky’ enough to end up in the Velvet Room and be a Wildcard and ‘lucky’ enough (or unlucky) to be caught up in the Dark Hour insanity. Plus the ‘luck’ of being able to find meaning to life again with SEES. 

Alternative SHSL/Ultimate: -While I was hoping to do this for all the Wildcards, we happen to run into a major issue from the start. Simply put, it is VERY difficult to think up an alternative talent for these two due to how their Social Links and personality choices are. None of the clubs they join can really be argued is ‘their’ amazing talent and unlike Yu they aren’t exactly the most... sociable/friendly of the Wildcards. At least Makoto isn’t given his portrayal in spin-offs and other media that give him his own voice and just general dialogue options (I’m pretty sure there are more harsh ones for him than there are for Yu). I can only assume similar for Hamuko. And as much as I kinda want to, SHSL/Ultimate Savior only works if they aren’t actually around and are busy being a door. Plus the people who decide on that wouldn’t know that they’re busy being a door. So yeah, gonna have to leave this one empty sadly.

Unlike Makoto’s hilarious stream of Lucky/Unlucky incidents and Nagito’s own INSANE cases, Makoto and Hamuko are rather... ‘normal’ for Lucky Students. In fact, one would think they’d be reserve course students. The truth is very few people besides themselves even realize the full ‘depth’  to their luckiness. If anyone else even. I have no doubt the Steering Committee is quite annoyed about this and questions if the raffle messed up somehow this year. In addition, this means that there is a LOT of enmity from all sides towards these two. The Reserve Course despises them because these two are basically just them just having been lucky enough to win the raffle AND NOTHING ELSE. On the other side, there are plenty in the Talent Course who look down on them even more than a typical lucky student. And it doesn’t help that at least in Makoto’s case he would likely not bother going to far out of his way to try and bridge any gaps with these people.

Major relationships within the DR cast: From the get-go we know that as Wildcards these two are potentially limitless in ideas for interaction with characters and forming relationships. Bearing that in mind, I think there are a few very specific characters they’d have some connection to: -Hajime Hinata: As stated above, the ‘luck’ that Makoto and Hamuko have is very different from the typical lucky student’s and they don’t even seem to fit the ‘ultimate’ moniker. As such, I could seem them gravitating towards Hajime due to simply feeling like they really don’t belong here, even more than Makoto (Naegi) and unlike a lot of the reserve course, Hajime just doesn’t seem like the type of guy to really fault them for winning the raffle. Bonus in Makoto’s (Yuki) case as he just drips sarcasm and bit of apathy and I imagine he’d get along well with Hajime’s own personality.  -Sonia Nevermind and Gundham Tanaka: Assuming a full crossover with personas, the full collective unconscious and such, both Sonia and Gundham would have a very similar fascination with these two. Sonia’s interest in the occult would make her very interested in any Wildcard and the tarots that they inevitably would have her draw if she tried (like Igor). While that may be slightly interesting to Gundham though there is a far more pressing matter for him. Because if he does have some supernatural connection there is no doubt in my mind he’d somehow catch on to these two harboring death and be very interested in it. -Junko Enoshima: Junko is... difficult to figure out here. On the plain surface (or in a crossover without the supernatural bits of Persona) there’s no reason Junko should have any special interest in these two over anyone else without having very special knowledge that not even freaking Itkutski seemed to have. On the other hand, should Junko find out about their wildcard and how it works she would be keeping a VERY close eye on them, realizing that she cannot leave them be since their S.Links would be far too dangerous against despair. And then there’s the giant elephant in the room. Should Junko discover that the two are harboring the literal manifestation of humanity’s desire for death there is no way in hell Junko would ever ignore that. And considering the BS Junko is able to pull, I could conceive it possible that she would somehow find out. As such, I would put it like this. If Junko never finds out about their ‘gifts’ she wouldn’t care. If she found out about the Wildcard somehow and what it meant (I don’t know, Nyarlothep decides to be a bit more involved in his bet with Philemon and pushes Junko in the right direction) she’d be very on top of them, perhaps even actively sabotaging their abilities to form S.Link or trying to break them, thereby inflicting a decent bit of psychological damage to them and thinking that could drive them to despair (which I don’t think it could since Makoto at least would be far too apathetic to really be in despair but that’s a bit up to interpretation how such things would affect a wildcard). Should she find out about Death, then all hell breaks loose as she would try and probably team up with someone like Ikutski to make The Fall occur for the ultimate final despair. Because not even the Tragedy was the absolute end of the world. The Fall though? That’s game over. -Nagito Komaeda: Nagito is yet another difficult option. If he knew what was really going on with them he would probably worship the ground the step on, even moreso than most ‘Ultimates’. However, he doesn’t have a reason to (though with his BS luck who knows, he may accidentally stumble onto all the secrets). Without knowing, we get into a problem. Nagito already looks down on himself as not being a ‘real’ ultimate. So, how does he look at other lucky students? I need to sit down and watch DR3 and see if there are any major interactions between him and Makoto before Makoto becomes the Ultimate Hope and see how he treats him. Even if he does treat him well though, Makoto at least has very obvious cases of good/bad luck even if it isn’t on the level of Nagito’s. These two though? It would be near non-existent. And that maybe enough to cause Nagito to despise them, perhaps even more than his disgust towards the Reserve Course. These two won the raffle and yet show as much ‘talent’ as a reserve course student? I could see him looking at it as a bigger mockery than the reserve course itself. As such, there would for sure be something there with Nagito but I can’t be certain if it would be a decent relationship with another lucky student or an animosity that’s the worst we’d ever seen from him.

Hello everyone!

I’m the head organizer/mod for the Spectrum fanzine and I was upset by something that was brought to my attention while I was at work (apologies for the late response) that I felt I should personally say my piece on.

There was this post made that I honestly have no idea or any clue about? I don’t know these people in the slightest nor do I really talk to anyone in the fandom or anything. So I can’t respond to anything they said about a history because I do not know them at all but I am deeply offended and upset.

That being said there are things I can talk about in that post.

1) The Zine was made to support these communities (Black, Black LGBTQA, and or PoC LGBTQA / dependent on the majority vote from the applications will be our primary beneficent. The organizations are listed in our FAQ which I implore you to read more about.) This does not mean you shouldn’t donate if you are able to right now. There are plenty of organizations who would need all the support: The Bail Fund, Black Lives Matter, Reclaim the Block, and so many more. Protest if you can! If you can’t please sign petitions! Watch BLM videos (do not skip the ads)!

The point is that it is an incentive to keep people caring about the community no matter what. It’s not because it’s a hot topic. Apathy is what we are trying to combat. I chose NNT because it is the platform I have the biggest following on. I hoped I could get people who were apathetic to care.

I cannot protest as I live with someone with a terminal illness so due to COVID-19 I cannot put them at risk. Instead, I’ve donated what money I could spare ($60 if people truly need to know $50 to BLM and $10 through a charity commission I did where the person donated to Northstar Health Collective if y’all really need to know), signed petitions, and watched videos like the one linked.

2) The release of the zine is supposed to be in August, something that is stated in our FAQ.

3) This is NOT an LGBTQA+ centric Zine. It a zine based around colors. I will copy and paste my explanation that can be found on the FAQ:

“Q: I know the theme is colors but is my work supposed to allude to LGBTQA or themes of race?

A: Short answer is No. The only thing your work has to do is to have an overall theme of just one color that we assign to you based on the answers we got in your application. That being said, if you want your content to be that of LGBTQA or Race within that color theme we absolutely welcome it! Want to draw/write about ship that falls under the umbrella? Go for it! Want to draw/write a character as another race? Go for it! (For the last bit, all that is asked is that you keep the overall design the same/similar so people can identify the character)”

I’m the one creating the cover so I’ll use my work as an example. Personally, I do not see Diane and Merlin as white so they won’t be drawn with the same skin tone as the anime. 

It is described as a BLM LGBTQA Zine because people should know where the money is going to.

Anyways, hopefully this could be of use to anyone who has seen anything of it and has had their perception ruined of it.
