#ah yes the chess set. the thing every beginner learns to make#this was one of the assignments i had in uni but i never did it..i was in a dark place lmao i cheated and didnt do it myself lets just say#tho my instructor showed us to do it with the lathe in 3dsmax which idk i think box modelling it mightve been a better method??#wouldn't have needed the nightmarish uv mapping with it...when you start out w a nice topology you can just do the nice uv mapping..#chixtalks#this is so outta nowhere idk. welcome to my blog

I keep forgetting that Antares is her codename and she'd need a real name, hmm..
#on the one hand her position as an extra piece on the board sort of means a part of the point is that she doesn't have all she should#but it's more fun for me if I give her one because I can be symbolic about it. and she(?)'s me. so there >w<#now.. we do have one example of a character where neither their codename nor their true name is a star#as well as one whose true name is already a star and thus they do not *have* a codename in *quite* the same way#so while I *could* also make that the case for antares it wouldn't quite feel right#so.. maybe a planet..? or something to do with chess pieces..#I could also try and be more derivative. at which point an obvious symbolic name jumps out - that being “ria”#but i'm not super set on such#heart of the void#self-inserts#..#self‑insert: meteor peacekeeper (antares)#one day that will actually save#of a city reborn (pokémon reborn)#I also still need to construct her reference model but that’s its own conundrum

I've found a wayward bishop who needs our love and attention. I'm thinking to leave him black but with blood red trim. he will look positively lurid.
#manor finds#the manor#minitures#chess pieces#and im going to be decking out a doll house artemesia has 5 of them in the attic lounging with my music equip.#i wish i could find the whole set we could paint us up a haunted chess game#i like doing minitures#i used to do model railroad#i would spend months on just trees#i made hundreds of trees#the trick is collecting good sapling twigs to replicate the trees as close as you can#i literally bought a north american field guide for trees so i could get it right#the kids used to love every year i would break out our people-box and we would all sit at the table painting figure after figure#i had to buy sets of unpainted people that was what u had to do#and scour the thrift stores and toy bargin bins for figures that are offbeat but u can alter it#thats half the fun every year a kid was uber-proud of a figure or new character miniture they had created all on their own#creating was something i always supported and would always heap praise when its due!#my youngers know in their bones the artist be it painter musician sculptor the artist is the highest of callings#they also know it is the calling with the most danger And malice and has little empathy or reward#which is terrible about society but you must show them and warn them#these would be the roundtable talk at the miniture painting party#those are good memories i hope the grandkids want to make such memories with children i will barely have time to meet. and#and the cycle continues#the wheel of the year turns round#Yes I still have a box of people#She has agreed to allow me to have 1 to deck out as an abandoned haunted mansion which i plan to go all out on#im thinking of depicting a Seance with animated ecktoplasm#shes sure to hate that#should be fun#jjbbbn in

friends i had a damn qsmp dream and the dream i dreamt was phil had been off doing something and when he went back to the house where chayanne and tallulah were i guess they thought he was offstream and had their mics on and were talking to him and he straight up did not notice there was anything strange about this until he saw chat panicking lmfao
(also jaiden came back and there was a celebration for her return 😔 i miss her)
