I’m back on my bs!! Time to ramble yet again about a facet of that one undead danganronpa au that I don’t have a name for, oops The main concept for the au can be seen here -> just for context and everything! This particular ramble is about the appearance/redesign of the characters most relevant in the au, since I put this in the original post about it;

“Another somewhat unrelated fact, but still an Important one; every character in the AU has a slight redesign to affect how they died, though I’ll elaborate on all of those soonish since that would make this post way too long.” All of the dead students, upon being basically brought back as ghosts, gain what’s called a Death Mark. A sometimes painful visual reminder of how they died, be it via murder or execution. So... Every character who dies in Danganronpa; Trigger Happy Havoc is gonna get a redesign! So if you don’t want spoilers for that then 1) Play the game, it’s really fun but also 2) Read No Further, Young One <Don’t mind me, just gonna add a ton of tw tags because uh... the executions in danganronpa are a bit of an Ouch dot mp4>

BATTER UP... FIRST CHARACTER TO GET A REDESIGN IN THIS AU IS LEON KUWATA BECAUSE PROPER CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER IS A MYTH!

First thing’s first, these redesigns are supposed to reflect how everyone died. So my boy Leon is going to have quite a bit of evidence of injury. He has sort of kinda darker patches all over his body similar to skin pigmentation, except when he’s under physical or emotional stress. Then the patches change color to look more similar to bruises. He has freckles now as well! Except of course when ^ he’s under stress. Then these freckles also sort of change color to appear more similar to broken blood vessels. His hands are kind of frail here, and if he was alive in this state he’d have a hard time holding on to things, all that jazz. Someone help this man Next on the chopping block because I’m going based on google’s listing of the various charactersssssss.... Kiyotaka Ishimaru! This redesign would be a bit more simple. A large scar that looks similar to a crack adorns his face, splitting it down the middle; not only symbolizing his lethal skull fracture, but also referencing hehehu “split” personality

Next up; Mondo Owata! Mondo would have many burn scars, just beneath his clothes. The most prominent aspect of his redesign would be his newly gained Lichtenberg Figures, though: Large, gnarly scars that’re caused by being struck by lightning. Some parts of his hair would be darker as well, almost burnt looking. It’d only be in some strands kinda like how older people get salt-and-pepper hair. And final redesign for this post... Celestia Ludenberg! Another example of someone with a death-mark would be Celestia. Below her clothes and on her legs she'd totally have a ton of slightly reddish markings, kinda similar in coloration to Henna tattoos. At a distance they do look like tattoos, but look closely enough and they all look like dancing flames. If you look closer still you can tell that all of these are burn-marks, like really light brands. I’ll finish up rambling about all these characters some other time [yet again] since listing all of the characters would make this post too long (x2) but I Promise I’ll see the designs of this AU through because gat DAMN i’m kinda vibing with it

Must admit I havent been writting mostly due to lack of inspiration and because Ive been busy with work and life in general. With the hurricane coming (im safe for now(? Ive gone pretty far north Im not in the direct path anymore)) Ive had this prologue idea for my Kokichi/Makoto fic (which is becoming less and less omo related but Im still gonna weave it in lol). Okay so idea

Makoto and Mondo have been friends since high school. While Mondo doesnt attend college he still comes around to town mostly to hang out with Taka (Mondo's crush and best friend since also high school) who is a student. Mondo and Makoto hang out whenever Taka isnt available. All three sometimes hang and go frat house parties with Mukuro and Junko.

One day Junko invites Makoto and Mondo tags along. Taka was busy craming for an a exam so he doesnt go. One too many drinks later Mondo takes a drunk Makoto back to his apartment. Makoto proceeds to spend a good amount of time hugging the toilet and sobering up. Mondo hangs around to make sure Makoto is fine.

While still sorta drunk Makoto asks Mondo why he hasnt asked Taka out yet. Mondo replies saying he isnt ready yet. Makoto asks if Mondo ever saw him as a potential partner. Mondo awkwardly replies no because he thought Makoto wasnt interested in having a male partner. Makoto sadly replies he doesnt know if he likes guys and asks if he and Mondo can fool around. Mondo tells him sure but sober up first.

After drinking alot of water and sobering up Makoto gets nervous and blushy for asking what he asked. Mondo laughs and says its fine but if he does want to expiriment then he's down. Makoto hesitates and agrees. Mondo asures him he'll take it slow and that they can stop if Makoto feels overwhelmed.

Sober sexual shenanigans shappens. After they both finish and cool down Makoto asks Mondo how he came to realize his sexuality. Mondo tells him that he sorta always knewn that he is gay. Makoto asks him how he knows that Taka is interested in men. Mondo tells him that he and Taka have had a similar talk. While Taka isnt completely sure himself, he does feel comfortable with him.

Mondo asks Makoto if the sex has helped him come to some revalation about his sexuality. Makoto shakes his head and says while he had a good time he doesnt know for sure yet. Mondo tells him its alright to not know yet and asks him if he wants to cuddle. Makoto takes up on the offer and cuddles. While they both drift to sleep Makoto thinks to himself that even though fooled around with another man, it all felt good and nothing was wrong. He hopes for the best for Mondo when he finally decides to ask Taka out

Leon had been rambling on about his dream of being a musician for what felt like an hour to Mondo.

"It's gonna be so cool, though! Like, I started out an athlete, but rejected it and became a famous musician! That seems like a pretty damn good trope, right?" Leon asked excitedly.

"Mhm, yeah, whatever."

"And! Imagine all the chicks I could get with! It's gonna be so cool!"

"You're really serious about all of this musician stuff, aren't you?" Mondo asked with a smirk on his face.

"Of course I am, bro! I'm gonna use my past as an athlete to also prove that I'm like...really tough! Like a guy with no weaknesses!"

"Oh, I beg to differ there." Mondo interjected.

Leon turned to look at him, confused.

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean." He said, standing up and walking towards Leon.

It took him a second to realize what he meant.

"...OH-"

"Yeah, "Oh!" Mondo mocked, advancing on Leon.

"W-wait, bro, hold on! Y-you don't need to-" Leon said, backing away with a nervous grin on his face.

"Nah, I want to."

His own thoughts were cut off as Mondo attacked without warning.

"AAAH! AHAHAHAHAHA, SHIHIHIHIHIT!"

"I'd take back the "no weakness" part of I were you." Mondo teased as he dug into his ribs.

"SHUHUHUHUT UHUHUHUP!" He thrashed around.

"Heh...I wonder how this is gonna look when your a musician, huh, big shot?"

"STAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIT!" Leon practically screamed. He found being ticklish embarrassing as hell, and really didn't want it to get out to the public.

He let out a particularly loud squeak when Mondo moved one hand to the back of his ribs.

"S'pecially with that noise you made just now, what're people gonna think of that?"

"NHNHNGNHN...NOHOHOHO!"

"No what?"

"STOHOHOP IHIHIT!"

Sensing that he's had enough, Mondo finally relented.

"Wh...What was that for, man?"

"Hey, man, you've got weakness's too, just like the rest of us. I'm just here to remind you about that."

Leon brushed off his shirt.

“Just some flowers.” You smiled, standing up and brushing the dirt off your gloves as you looked down at the grave. 

Daiya Owata was the name engraved on it. There were already gifts around the tombstone, but you figured that--as the Ultimate Gardener--adding some white flowers would be a nice gesture of respect.

When you turned back to Mondo, you noticed him staring at what you left. His expression was stoic, though you knew he was hurting inside. Even after all this time...the death of his older brother didn’t become any easier to deal with.

You just wished he could drop his guard and understand it was okay to show his grief around you.

But maybe...there was something you could do for him to show that you cared.

“Hey, Mondo?”

The biker gang leader hummed, shifting his attention to you. He was surprised when you offered him a purple flower. “What’re you givin’ me this for?” His eyebrows furrowed. “I ain’t about that-”

“Flowers aren’t just “girly shit”,” you chuckled. “There’s nothing wrong with them. Just keep it in your pocket, so you know the Ultimate Gardener’s always looking out for you.”

He was a bit tense as he stared at the flower, debating on whether to take it or not.

He really didn’t know how to react to gifts.

You sighed and just slipped it into his coat pocket. “There. You don’t have to take it out ever again.” Patting his arm lightly, you went on your way, but you only took a few steps past him before-

“W-Wait...”

Looking back, you saw Mondo take the flower out, examining it before glancing at you. “I...think it’s cool. The color matches my coat. If you got any uh..other ones or black or gold or somethin’ lemme know...” Even though his collar hid most of his face, you could still see him blushing a bit.

You were surprised, but smiled and nodded. “Noted.”

Over the next few weeks, you’ve been giving Mondo more and more flowers--specifically purple, black, gold, and yellow ones. You even gave him a wooden box to keep them in, which he kept stashed away so his gang wouldn’t tease him.

Though after joining the 78th Class, he became less shy about accepting the flowers from you when others were around. But he was quick to snap at anyone who tried asking him about it

So it just became a little secret between you both, and you could tell he appreciated them through and through.

And then...when you all inevitably attended Hope’s Peak Academy, the bond you two seemed to share disappeared--memories of your times with him during the past two years wiped. 

You became strangers once more, with you being intimidated by the biker’s attitude and stature.

But even so...you couldn’t help but feel like there was something familiar about him...

“Ey, [y/n]. Ya mind coming to my room for a second?”

“Uh...okay?” Confused, you followed Mondo to his dorm, wondering what he wanted. He mumbled an annoyed “hurry up” when he noticed you were falling behind.

What was up with him?

Was he planning a murder-?

No. That couldn’t be.

You shook the thought away as you entered his room and closed the door. When you turned around, you saw him take a familiar wooden box out of his pocket. 

“I found this in here and....I think I remember where it came from.” He opened it and showed you the various types of flowers in it. “They were yours, weren’t they?”

“Oh! That’s...That’s right!” Your eyes practically lit up as you stared at the collection, though you looked at him in confusion. “I gave you these? Are you sure?”

“Listen, when I say I remember somethin’, I fuckin’ mean it..” Mondo growled, but he was quick to calm down. “As far as I can tell, there ain’t no other florist-based Ultimates but you here.”

“...huh..that’s true.” A smile appeared on your face. “Well I’m glad you’ve kept them after all this time. It seems...we’re not really strangers after all.”

“Yeah..” A slight blush dusted his cheeks as he closed the box. “We definitely ain’t.”

Hi again!! This was the anon that asked what the character limit was. But in that case, what about some headcanons about what Korekiyo, Tenko, Toko, Mondo, Gonta, Leon and Hagakure would do for their S/O's birthday?

Hey there!!! This is a good group of characters, i love all of them!! I made the reader gender neutral, i hope thats okay! 

I hope these hcs are okay, as this is my first time writing for a few of these characters!! ~ mod sayaka who didnt put a pic bc he wanted to save room. 

KOREKIYO, TENKO, TOKO, MONDO, GONTA, LEON, AND HAGAKURE ON THEIR S/O'S BIRTHDAY

KOREKIYO SHINGUJI

--he wont talk about it the days leading up to his s/o's birthday. 

--He doesnt wanna give away the surpise.

-- Once their special day hits? 

--The second they wake up, He has the whole day planned for them. 

--That includes their favorite activities, watching their favorite movies, ect.

-- They are the best of humanity to him, and Korekiyo wants them to know it. 

-- In genral, he just wants them to have the best birthday. 

-- you'll finish off the day with cuddles, something he doesnt initiate often. 

TENKO CHABASHIRA

--She's panicing. 

-- the whole week leading up to her s/o's birthday, Tenko is in a panic.

--" Their day needs to be perfect!" Is why she's in this state. 

-- She tries to get advice from everyone, even the degenerate males.  

-- Eventually, she decides to take you to a movie, a nice resturant, and let you choose a few other places 

-- She'll also decorate their place, with streamers and ballons. 

--and she buys a very expencive present. 

--Tenko may be broke now but !!! As long as her s/o's happy its fine!!!!

TOKO FUKAWA 

-- She doesnt plan out much. 

-- Maybe renting her s/o's favorite movie, baking a cake for them, and getting a good present.

--BUT!! It is not because she doesnt care!! Toko just doesnt want to overwhelm them. 

-- But if they wanted to do something else, she'd comply. 

--Shes more worried about doing too much than too little. 

--During the movie, Toko will cuddle them, no arguments or self-depicating comments  coming from her.

MONDO OWATA

--He is

--Surpisingly calm. 

-- Because he already planned this weeks before.

-- May or may not have had his bike gang threathen people to make sure the places his s/o wanted to go werent too crouded.

--Mondo just wants to make their birthday fun.

LEON KUWATA

--Makes sure he doesnt have a baseball game on that day.

--But he doesnt! So thats all good!!

--To be honest, him and his s/o just go around and do fun stuff

--He's not good at planing things.
