Beyal's Gift, Glowblade's voice

(Originally titled: I have (A) Mouth and I Must Scream)

Everything feels wrong as he holds Glowblade's core on his hand, perhaps courtesy of the connection between Monsuno and controller, and Glowblade does not recognize him as such; The energy inside is erratic and chaotic, the Core's metallic surface is mildy hot against his skin, as if threatening to burn him the longer he holds it.

-''You're not gonna do what we're thinking you're gonna do, right?''.-Jinja eyes him the same way she does when he's thinking of doing something stupid.

-''I think he wants to come out''.-Chase replies glancing up from the Core to meet her eyes.

-''What? Are you crazy?''.

-''Chase I don't think Monsunos like being spun out by someone that isn't their owner''.-Bren eyed the core warily as if Glowblade was about to spin itself out out of pure force of will at any second. Among all the crazy things they've seen so far this one seems increasingly less farfetched the longer the light of the Core flickers chaotically in Chase's hold.

-''Have you seen the Monkfish and Glowblade? He's the only one that knows what is thinking, Damn scaly's gonna throw a fit without him to calm it down''.

-''I know, we're running out of time and if Master Ey said Glowblade can give us a clue about how to wake Beyal up then I have to take it''.

-''Just don't come running and crying when it tries to eat you three times over at the same time, Suno''.-Dax started walking away at a safe distance, Bren hesitantly following while Jinja rested her hand on Chase's shoulder.

-''We'll have our own cores ready just in case, Okay? Be careful''.

-''I will''.-He replied, resolution hard in his eyes.

He turned around and eyed the pillars of the courtyard, chosing one as his target. The blue light still throwing a fit inside the Core. He sighed.

-''Here goes nothing''.

The whole thing feels wrong as he rears his arm back to spin, The weight, the texture, the temperature, the angle at which he spins his own Cores doesn't match his own, he feels a faint, pulsating pushback against him, against his control, against his very soul, something inside him he can't quite place but which feels as natural as his own heartbeat when it's Lock, he hadn't even imagined the almost sense of intimacy a spin could hold, the trust needed, the connection it entails, He shouldn't even be touching this Core and Glowblade knows it too. He feels the need to apologize in the back of his mind for everything that has transpired until now even though it's not his fault.

It isn't... Right?

-''Launch!''.-He shouts as he releases the Core, it misses the center of the pillar by a few inches and the explosion of blinding blue light it releases violently overtakes his sight, the pushback so strong it makes him take a step back, reminds him of the sheer, raw power Lock exuded when he first spun him out.

Glowblade is revealed from the blue mist slithering and screeching as loud as he can to the heavens and beyond, it's a nasty, demonic high pitched scream that could make anyone's ears bleed. To top it all off, it starts hacking on all directions with the spider legs on the sides of it's torso, tail flailing erratically, grinding three of the pillars to rubble in one hit as if they were glass, if Chase didn't knew any better, he would almost say the three headed Monsuno was throwing a tantrum.

-''I told you this was a bad idea, Suno!''.-Dax jabs behind him, Core at the ready in case things turned out for the worst.

-''I didn't knew that thing could scream!''.-Bren is still holding his hands to his ears, amazed and terrified.

-''He's beyond mad! How can he help us save Beyal!?''.-Jinja took out her own Core as well.

-''I don't know, Beyal is the one that hears Monsunos' voices''.-Chase also reaches for Lock's Core out of instinct. At the other side of the courtyard, the Snake-Spider hybrid is still roaring up a storm, the three mouths seem to attempt to take bites out of the air much to the teen's confusion-

-Until they noticed it's multiple pair of eyes glowing menacingly bright. Similar to when it charges up for his Electric Barrage attack.

-''Uh, Guys!?''.-Bren exclaims in increasing panic. They are all about to spin, Glowblade takes a deep, sharp breath and-

-''HOW COULD YOU LET HIM BE TAKEN BY THE DARKNESS!? WE HAVE TO GET HIM BACK BEFORE IS TOO LATE OR HE'LL BE GONE, GOOOONE!!!!!''.

The teens covered their ears as a thunderous voice channeled all the way into their skulls, sharp and all ecompasing, oddly young, three voices fused together with one louder than the rest, a blaring noise that echoed through their chests from the intensity of it, covering their ears did nothing to quiet it down as it drilled directly into their brains, bypassing their hearing canals and reaching at the deepest corners of their minds where no one was supposed to reach, mixed with the unending, deafening screeching, it made for a gruelling torture device.

Rage, sadness, desperation, fear. Glowblade both roared and screamed those words out like the world was ending, like it was his last lungful of air before passing out, heads bowed back to the heavens and maws wide open as he brought the group to their knees with the sheer intensity of his all-encompasing, burning fury...

Ok, so this is my first actual attempt at a Fic with my Monsuno Sight concept, set during the 'Beyal looses his Visions mini arc' and start of his character assassination from then on, to not make y'all re-read my Monsuno Sight Reimagined work the gist of it all is that:

Beyal has the ability to hear Monsuno's voices via one way telepathy.

Glowblade finds a way to reverse engineer said ability after Beyal falls into a coma through pure force of will and unbridled rage.

☀️Devourer of The Sun☀️

Teryx (Dino) and Fenris (S.T.O.R.M)

In my rewrite, before the start of the series, Teryx started his life as a S.T.O.R.M. Monsuno called Fenris, he was friends with Airswitch but tragedy struck and Fenris's Core got damaged and buried without chance of being retrieved, found by Klipse during season 3, Fenris was reborn as Teryx.

Consumed by a deep rooted sense of betrayal and hatred, he bowed to find Airswitch again and enact his revenge, make him feel the despair and pain that he felt during his time buried underground as well as destroying everything that Airswitch holds dear (I.e. Dax, Team Core-Tech, etc) Spike plays a key role in reuniting the old friends. I was inspired by the myth of Fenrir, a monstruous wolf that will devour the sun during Ragnarök, with Fenrir's moveset names alluding to the sun and chains, with his dialogues revolving around 'Devouring everything in his path', his need for revenge so allconsuming and self-destructive he would 'Devour the sun itself' to achieve it without regards for the consequences.

(Fenris also plays a role in my rewrite as a direct foil for the Quickforces and the whole 'Clone/replacement' situation)

I was rewatching 2 season 8 episode (lynchpin), and Hargrave in beginning of episode, when Six runs from laboratory, cause Klipse said to Dom to get rid of Six, (to threat Six, Hargrave laughing evily, seeing what it worked. I.... feel weird about this moment.

Oh, I feel weird about that moment too. It was supposed to trick the viewers into thinking that Six was in trouble when actually he wasn’t

The thing that doesn’t make sense is the fact that Six was sneaking out. There was no point to that

If I were to rewrite that scene where he leaves the Eklipse base, I would show him walking though the base by himself. He would be stoic, maybe checking if he has everything (like his core). He walks past one room. The shot lingers on the room as it focuses on the inside. Hargrave is there, working (probably on a computer). He turns an ear to the door

Back to following Six, there are voices in the background. It’s Klipse and Dom. Six approaches another room, where their voices are coming from. He stops to listen to their conversation (and it’s the same as what’s in the actual episode)

Six then quietly wanders away

End Scene

I feel like this would do a better job at the deception than what is in the show. Here, the part that would puzzle a first-time viewer would be why Six isn’t being more careful with sneaking away. That may lead them to realising that Six wasn’t telling the truth to Chase

This is opposed to the viewer wondering why Six was sneaking away in that scene in the show after they learn what he’s up to

Note: I was heavily inspired by @/silverserpent 's (I didn't want to tag just in case) interpretation on the function of each tribe and kinda wanted to make my own take on this subject (combined with a rewrite idea I had)

((I'll be adding the chinese symbolism aswell given that the source of the monsuno energy is around Tebat, the show's in-universe location of IRL Tibet, an autonomous nation in China and I do interpret that the members of each tribe relied on the cultural symbolism to decide on which animal/monsuno represented their tribe best

-In another post I established that every tribe had it's own monsuno as a god, and that there were 6 for the 5 tribes (Bear, twin Ravens, Moose, Snake and Hawk--aka the main animals that the monsuno of our leads take from) and that each animal in a way might symbolize what each tribe was charged with:

-Chase's tribe [Bear] was the leader tribe that is a charge of leadership (obviously) and monitoring of the rest of the four tribes. They were well known for their wisdom as bears, are often depicted as symbols of wisdom, maternity but also masculinity (CN) and stubbornness shown. In chinese tradition, placing a bear in front of a house is a sign of protection of the house's inhabitants so we could also say that they are the defenders of the five, the ones most prone to stand up for what they treasure.

Bren's tribe [Ravens] were responsible for building and conducting scientific research on the world around them, maybe also inventing new technology to assist in future endeavors which is fitting considering that Ravens are often depicted as symbols of prophecy, insight, transformation and intelligence (but also death ironically) and in Chinese mythology they represent the three phases of the sun (Rising, Noon, Setting) which might further imply that they were the knowledge-hunters and the ones determined to uncover the mysteries of the world and it's endless skies.

Jinja's tribe [Moose] is a bit of a strange case. In Chinese mythology they are a symbol of fertility, virility and hard work which would make her tribe be the ones to provide meat and fruit. However in general mooses are a symbol of tenacity, determination, strength and wisdom so there is some significant overlap with the other tribes but my personal take is the following: Like I said, they provide resources to all the other tribes and take care of nature and it's animals as a way to maintain their supply and are also capable to stand their ground if it comes down to taking care of anyone that threatens their grounds.

Beyal's tribe [Snake] might have been in charge of maintaining peace and act as mediators (given their current place in canon as peacekeepers that practice Monsuno Sight) and snakes usually symbolise love, health, disease, medicine and immortality so it's fair to say that they were the medics and the spiritually developed population, and in China, snakes are perceived as of the most mysterious and wisest animals which falls in line pretty well with the position of the monks of Tebab imo

Dax's tribe [Hawk] is also quite abstract. The spiritual meanings of the hawk can vary depending on the situation. Hawks (in CN) represent changes, clarity, pursuit of goals, protection, and honoring your inner wisdom. They are graceful yet powerful beings that go after what their needs are, and in general spiritual leadership. I personally interpret them as the soldiers of the five. The warriors trained in pragmatic fighting but also diplomacy and are very goal-driven and persuasive. If a threat comes into push and shove, they will be the first in line to fight it and vanquish it lest it threatens the balance.

mp100 or opm? mp100 for sure!! it never disappoint in terms of anything while opm’s storyline in season 2 felt kinda lackluster. 

intelli saiko or chartereux westia? damn, i’ll have to go with char because she has a lot more character growth and interesting aspects to her personality that i can only imagine for my filler-only fav, intelli 😔

charsuki or shamkyo? i would have to go with charsuki for this one, because as much as i love shamkyo, char and hasuki don’t exhibit nearly as much hostility towards each other, which they could and arguably have more so of a reason to do than shampoo and ukyo.

Well, it’s just in case something happens to famfiction.net. Like in case the website shuts down or something.

Also, the tags makes finding Six easier for anyone and I thought it would be nice to also add it to Original Works for others to also want to know about Monsuno since Six’s Diary is like a story that doesn’t need to include most of the cast of Monsuno to understand it, but that it’s still a Monsuno fic. It may not be for everyone, but I do like to expand where I want to write my stories.

As for Hector and Klipse… Hector’s intersex and while they do have a uterus that can hold a child if Hector and Klipse went that route, they have enemies and they know any unborn child will be a target. Cloning a child and having them be place in a safe house was a safer choice for them since they can take turns to check on their clone, and no one would know they’re having a baby since Hector isn’t showing. It’s what they did with Eira, so they know it works.

That being said, Hector and Klipse don’t have a clone of themselves. They were busy with raising Eira that by the time Klipse left, they forgot to have a clone of their own. Which is why Six doesn’t have a half-sibling and instead have step-siblings from Hector.

Finally someone is talking about the wider implications these episodes had, that were never explored because the writers are lazy as hell and only want to sell some toys

Ive had this rewrite/canon-complaint idea sitting for over a year at this point about how the five tribes all had a monsuno (or a god/animal that represented them) that associated with each (a bear,a pair of twin ravens, a stag/moose, a serpent and a vulture) and how every couple thousand of years five or six monsunos would be reincarnated, and that the main monsunos of Core-Tech all appeared the way they did (more or less) because of that reincarnation cycle, since after all it is common belief of the monks of Tebat that Destiny determines all

Anyway, because of Destiny those monsunos would soon find their way to our heroes who are also descendants of the five tribes like how it was always meant to be all those generations [[which is a plothole considering that those with monsuno sight can only be descendants of the five tribes (meaning Chase, Jinja and Beyal)

((Then again just because Destiny predetermined them to find their path that doesnt mean they can't stray from it or ect same thing goes for our main 5 characters

Anyways im getting a bit ahead of myself, and I suck at explaining however MANN season 2 should have really dwelled more on the history of monsunos and the five tribes instead of jumping to villain group 1, 2, 3 and 4

this could have been so interesting. Beyal losing his visions as Chase struggles to interpret them could be a Character Arc. Chase is rash, Chase is impatient, and the monsuno sight is something that explicitly comes when you need and not when you want it. Beyal being envious, grappling with self-worth issues and settling with some other role in the group -- probably the Prophecy Expert and Calm Planner -- is something that could change the status quo in a fun way!!

and instead, they made Beyal just. faint for an episode while the thing got magic ex machina fixed.

Only fanfic i ever completed fully was when I was 15 or 16 and it’s cringy as hell. I was really proud of Primal Mode but now I’m 22 and it’s like yikes. Still like the concept tho. Maybe I’ll rewrite it. 

Or I’ll write one that’s like an episode: Team Core-Tech gets stationed at a base in Isamon to find out about the high levels of Monsuno energy emanating from the area. Will they succeed or will what’s lurking there get them first? 

It will be loosely based on the comics with Dr. Moto. I wanted more of her as an antagonist.

Things I would have liked to see in Monsuno Part 1

Bekka actually having weight in the story, we find out she's Master Ey's daughter and then we NEVER see her again. I kinda want her to mirror Beyal's relationships with Monsuno's, she does not possess the Sight nor can she have visions but she has Flawless control and communications skills with her Monsuno.

While Beyal has a telepathic connection with Glowblade (At least in my rewrite), Bekka communicates with Sizzler through a complex system of hand signs, clicking of her tongue and whistling that she developed to make up for her Bow of Silence.

Just her having the sweetiest and calmest demeanor while she wreaks your shit, I LOVE gentle, well mannered female characters with soft voices that can AND WILL kick your ass.

Pozzo having a backstory of smth, he BARELY has any dialogue if none at all in his 7-ish mins of screen time. Also, she reminds me of Casca XDD

How the hell did the Desert Wolves formed, Jack both unnerves and annoys the crap outta me (Props to his VA, he flipping nailed the psycho)

Also How mythology would work In-Universe, if Beyal is the somewhat Buddhist set of beliefs, how does Monsuno looked like in different countries and cultures? We have Mayan type piramids with Monsuno statues in canon, Were they seen as Gods? Calamities? Does one Culture see and worships them as Benevolent, generous Deities that aid humanity when it most needs them while other portrays them as Creatures of Destruction? The Untamable, Amoral Force of Nature?

Spike appearing more in general, getting a redemption arc after his whole vendetta with Dax, and eventually becoming a supporting character down the road. Also as a glimpse into Dax's older life and the things they BOTH had to do in order to survive all by themselves in the world.

How does Team Core-Tech play boardgames? Dax is a beast at any and all card games, also a chronic cheater just for shits and giggles, HE WILL leave you bankrupt and beyond if you bet money, he does not shut up and will mess with you for the entirety of the game to make you slip plus SUCH a sore loser.

Jinja has Avengers Level Threat Gamer Rage, she WILL flip the board you DO NOT KNOW FEAR until you play with her, Bren is the BIGGEST sore loser right next to Dax, Beyal is a pro at games that have to do anything with Memory and Knowledge like Jeopardy, he IS a walking, breathing encyclopedy, also adept at Checkers, Chess and Go, nothing impressive but still can hold his own.

Him and Chase are the only ones that are chill to play anything with without risking collateral damage.

Kimi developing as a character and becoming a supporting part of the cast, also just more very young kids in general that stumble upon the world of Monsuno, basically a small cast of The Next Gen of Monsuno Controllers.

She bonding with Beyal pretty easily bc they both have Gifts, he teaches her the ropes of The Sight and bonding with a Monsuno, paralleling Chase as well, at the beginning he was VERY exhausting to work with for Beyal bc not only was he fairly new in the Monsuno World, he also had A LOT of things in his mind as well as being plagued by doubts an' stuff while Kimi is the responsible and Disciplined student to Chase's Fuck it We Ball mentality which Beyal may or may not give a judgemental side eye much to the Leader's chagrin.

Her Gift actually having weight in the story, Are all Monsunos Chill with being controlled by someone that isn't their owner? What would happen if she met a A Wild Monsuno? Can she accidentally piss off a Monsuno that does NOT like her Gift?

Her power seems the type of thing that would have the Desert Wolves after her since she's the antithesis of Jack's 'Absolute Freedom' ideology, Would Freedom Striker feel threatened by her?

Freedom Striker being the one odd exception to the partnership between Monsunos and Humans, HE is the one that tells Jack what to do, not the other way around, he is set dead on on Monsuno's returning 'To the Source' aka, the Essence burrowing underground, he feels that Humans have 'Soiled' their Perfect Existence with their scientific tampering in order to Use them As Tools and that Monsunos are, at their Core (Heh) Being of Destruction that will expand all over the Universe until there's NOTHING but MONSUNO.

He is unnervingly adept at manipulating other Monsunos and planting seeds of doubt, abused and/or Mistreated Monsunos are the perfect victims to join his cult Ehem, his Fight for FreedomTM.

Monsuno ACTUALLY having dialogues, Jack can canonically HEAR THEM TALK, I would have loved to have had them having conversations between them or arguments in opposing factions, What voice claim would you give Lock? Personally I like Christopher Lee, May he rest in peace.

Jack either going (Even more) ballistic after losing his 'Gift' or actually having his true personality come back after Freedom Striker not being able to talk to him anymore. Also having a debt of sorts to Bekka AND Beyal bc of his guilt at having killed Master Ey, Jack may be Many, MANY THINGS but a (Human) murderer is not one of them.

The guilt will follow him to his grave.

Jinja's ANYTHING background, the only thing we know abt her is that she's loaded AND HER BIRTHDAY, like girl, WHO ARE YOU!?

The Bookman actually being more of a threat, make him full on a Cult Leader that brainwashes people into doing his bidding, him selling this smoke and mirrors idea of creating Paradise or smth, that he's the second coming or whatever and that's how he gets the funding for his whole operation, by stripping his Followers dry off of all their belongings, finances and properties, make him a terrifying man not through being physicaly imposing nor strong but by portraying the very real threat of Cult Leaders doing the most heinous things known to man for long and often unpunished periods of time that predates on the vulnerable and weak.

Cashing in on the Snake VS Rat dynamic that Glowblade and Librax had, Like, C'mon, the parallels and Symbolism write themselves.

Beyal kinda NOT being the very, VERY last of his kind? I would have liked seeing more Monk survivors, Beyal and Master Ey being the only ones left irks me a little in regards to storytelling.

Dax has a LOT of trauma he hasn't unpacked (NOR HE EVER PLANS TO, THANKS A LOT) nothing over the top, I'm talking abt glimpses, his mother's death being worse than it actually was, How long did it take for someone to find him and send him to the orphanage? The whole warzone that his village ended up looking like, you can't tell me HE DIDN'T SAW THINGS his young child mind locked up waaaaay back and threw the key on a well bc OH BOY DO I HAVE IDEAS.

How the hell did he got his rivalry with Klipse? How did he became Important enough to be noticed by this narcissistic madman and not just another random kid in search for revenge? And not JUST because he worked with Jeredy, nu-uh, I want Mr. Delincuent Searched in 16 Fk Provinces going borderline Mission: Impossible on Klipse's trail and achieving mutual 'Destroy on Sight' rivalry, Is that too much to ask?

Dom Pyro staying terrifying for a bit longer, THE DUDE IS A SERIAL KILLER THAT MAKES MOLTEN STATUES OUT OF HIS VICTIMS.

And one last thing, (Inhales):

i was gonna try my hand at rewriting some stuff in season 2 of monsuno by listing characters to see if they were relevant but that clearly derailed somewhere along the line lmao
